He was also fantastic about working with us to revise the quote to get us where we needed to be to proceed. I told Jeff that was odd and recommended that they should probably change their companies name. This was his response...Thanks for the awesome business advice. I’mthe one guy that runs around to do every estimate for this company and get a hundred requests a week. Let me know how that works mathematically. I mapped your address and it was 35min away. My cutoff is a 30min drive. Most people just thank me for at least having the courtesy to respond. Go talk down to somebody else- I don’t put up with it.Coming from a customer service background, this is pretty bad. I simply searched for this company on google and put a request in... all you have to say is “hey we are pretty booked up blah blah blah we can try to get you on a schedule at some point”Edit: 28278 Postal code in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. T W: About 3 years ago, Archadeck completed our deck and sun room renovation that had a new roof tie-in. There were a couple of bumps along the way, as can be expected with a major renovation of this nature, but the overall structure is well built and sound. It was well done and we are happy with the overall result. Recently, we had Mike Homewood and team come out to follow-up on a couple of smaller items. Mike was professional and very responsive. He and his team did a great job of finishing up the items and the finished product looks great! Brian DuPre: The people at Deckscapes (MIck, Mike, Rebecca, one other whose name I did not get, and the two carpenters who did the building) showed the highest degree of professionalism. My experience with the new deck was way more positive than I anticipated given my conversations with two other contractors. I was not about to use the other contractors. Deckscapes came through with a five star rating on every category you can imagine. They are definitely interested in quality and customer satisfaction. Harinder Shergill: We got our concrete patio covered by a roof from these guys couple of year ago . The pillars that support the roof are rotting now where they meet the concrete . Although the work they did look aesthetically good but wish they could have done more to prevent wood rot; probably should have caulked the gaps between concrete and pillar bottom and/or put some type or treatment of bottom cut surface of the wood .
Keith Thomas: Deckscapes built a 33' x 17' deck and screen porch for us. We are thrilled with the finished product. Outstanding service, tradesmen and customer service. We highly recommend Deckscapes to anyone considering having a deck built. Project Manager (Mike) and all the tradesmen that worked on our project were great. They respected our home and property, communicated with us throughout the project, were open to minor changes that we requested during the project and immediately resolved all the little unforeseen issues that arose during the project.
Chris Palomba: If you say you're going to do something, then do it. I have a curved deck and didn't want these guys to install what they normally do but instead something like screen tight. The guy I talked to said they should be able to and to give him a couple days to put a quote together. More than two weeks later and still haven't heard a word. If you don't want to do it because it's not something you normally do, that's fine, but at least have the common courtesy to let me know.Thank you for your response to my review. It took a review with 2 stars to get a quote, nothing related to the pandemic.

People were different: not nice, asked for a lot of money, not honest.Finally we got this company . His owner is Mick. Right now he is our friend. Do u know why? He is running company with honestly, great job, respect people. Everything was done during 4 weeks but weather did not help us. We had a lot raining days. We LOVE our screening room and deck. Ashley Riley: My husband and I had Deckscapes build a screened in porch and deck this spring. We have been absolutely pleased with the final product!! We scheduled with Esther who also kept in communication with us for any office questions. We worked with Chip to develop the a blueprint and plan. Chip was extremely thorough, knowledgeable and patient with us as he worked with our various (and occasionally changing) ideas and budget. Mike was the project manager that stepped in next to head up the project onsite. Mike reviewed the plans and timeline with us and showed up regularly to check on the work. He also checked in with us to make sure we were always satisfied as the work moved forward. We did have a small issue (which is typical of ALL construction projects) and Mike immediately worked with us and his team to quickly resolve it. Mike was thorough, detail-oriented and very professional! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with this company and staff and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for similar projects.
William H: Deckscapes did a fantastic job on my small deck project. Management is professional, the carpenters skilled and pricing competitive. I spoke with about five other companies for my small deck project. Chip showed the most depth of knowledge and gave me the most confidence that the job would be done right. After the agreement was executed, the job was turned over to the project manager, Mike, who was professional, intelligent, and experienced. He reviewed the entire project with me in detailed and coordinated with the carpenters (Glen and Matt). Glen and Matt were skilled craftsmen who tackled the job quickly. A few minor items were not done to my satisfaction at first but, the team revised these with no argument whatsoever making sure I was happy and fully satisfied. I would definitely recommend Deckscapes!

Their staff is professional, timely, clean, courteous, and extremely knowledgable. When it comes to building screen porches and deck additions they are the best in the industry. We also hired Deckscapes to build our own very large deck many years ago. Our visitors often ask us who it was that built our deck because they love the build and design.
