Yoga For Life: what do users think?
Sarah Morton: Beautiful space and my Yin class with Maureen was relaxing and insightful.
Sahba Kelleher: Such an a great yoga studio with very passionate and caring yoga instructors. I always feel better leaving the place. Thank you so much!
J G: Yoga for Life offers a range of yoga for all levels. Each class is slightly different so that you will never become bored and you will get a stretch in new muscles, each time you go. The classrooms are spacious and clean and there is an overall welcoming environment of community. If you forget your mat or any additional support materials there are extra supplies provided. It is an excellent facility with great parking. I highly recommend Yoga for Life.
Barbara Saul: As a five year breast cancer survivor, I have enjoyed Karen's & Merrit's Yoga for Cancer classes. The classes help bring more balance to my life and I never leave the studio in the same manner in which I came in! The Deep Stretch Yoga classes on the "Fifth Fridays" are truly powerful, healing and relaxing! Thank you Karen for holding this sacred space. Yoga For Life is my personal sanctuary of peace within this often chaotic world! :)
Debbie Yelton: Yoga for Life offers classes in a supportive and accepting atmosphere. Karen and Hampton provide instruction that helps individual students to experience the practice of yoga that nurtures body, mind, and spirit and offer modifications to fit students' needs. Whether you're new to yoga or have practiced for many years, you'll find what you need at Yoga for Life.
Maggie D: Yoga for Life is an awesome studio! The owner Karen Williams is caring and diligent about meeting the needs of her clients. She provides an environment that is inviting to all. She goes out of her way to ensure that her studio provides a scent free environment. This is extremely important to people who have allergies to scents of all kinds and who could not attend classes in other studios due to their use of scents in class as well as in their lobbies. One of the premises of yoga is to do no harm to others and this studio strives to make that possible. I appreciate the various levels of class; as well as the workshops and teacher trainings that are of the highest quality.
Pat MacEnulty: This is a great studio. The classes can be as gentle or as challenging as you like. I always feel like I've gotten a great workout AND a great relaxation. It's difficult to find a yoga class where you get that balance, but you can find them at Yoga for Life. I highly recommend Karen's classes. They also have a variety of interesting workshops.
Shelly Theriault: A warm, caring, nurturing staff and yoga practice that meets you where you are. Karen Williams, the owner, is simply wonderful!
Carol Hartley: Gentle and supportive -- Yoga for Life will help you develop the best yoga practice for you! I have wrist problems. Karen remembers that and always offers modifications for cranky wrists, knees or necks. All levels of yoga offer caring, intelligent instructors. Yoga for Life feels like home!P.S. belly dance on Thursday nights is tons of fun!
Sharon Blumberg: After moving from NYC a few years ago, I tried many studios in town until I found my yoga home. This studio is the place I come to practice, learn and train. It is the perfect blend of community, instruction and challenge. I always, always leave centered and alive. I am grateful to have this sangha to call my yoga home.
Kim Ireina Milan: After moving from Los Angeles, I was in search of the perfect yoga home for myself. It took a bit of time to find this treasure but I am so happy I did. For me it's important to harness the rich spiritual connection in my practice and I am able to do so with abundance at Yoga For Life, and there is also room and open arms for students at all levels which I admire as well. I couldn't say enough about the entire staff, each yoga class feels completely different filled in a space of love and compassion.
Lane Grann: Yoga For Life is wonderful! I have osteoporosis and osteoarthritis in my hips, etc. and after about 12 sessions am already getting pain relief, increased flexibility, and an improving sense of body awareness, i.e., better balance, better posture. The studio's approach is gentle, gentle, gentle, so don't be afraid to give it a try. I was nervous and hesitant, but now I allow almost nothing to interfere with my attending yoga. It's that important and beneficial to me.Special snaps to Hampton, Carol, and Karen for all of their guidance and support.

Okra: what do users think?
Melissa R: Absolutely amazing! Never been before so I tried the new client special which was such a good deal. I was paired with Shelby for my massage and am so happy I was. She is so incredibly talented, listened to all my needs and gave me one of the best massages I ever had. The shop is so cute and welcoming and the staff is amazing. Thank you Okra I will definitely be back!
Emily Ackerberg: This place is really special. I don’t live permanently in Charlotte, so I signed up for a month of classes and am so glad I did. Natalie ties physical and emotional wellness together beautifully in her practice. Her classes are what I’ll miss most about being here!
Carri Uranga: Jen managed to unravel 6 months of stress in a 90 minute massage! My only regret is not finding her sooner. If self care is not already on your non-negotiable list, gift yourself an afternoon at Okra. After a class and a massage, you'll be revitalized and ready for the week!
Maricruz Morales: Incredible experience, the massage section was incredibly great, I recommend it, I personally will be back soon ♥️
Julie Weir: I had the most amazing massage with Jen Strassberg a couple of weeks ago. The scheduling for my massage was incorrect and when I arrived my masseuse was not there. I was 34 weeks pregnant and broke down crying in the lobby because I was so disappointed. Jen finished with a client, saw me in the lobby, and offered to stay late to give me a massage (the day before Christmas eve I might add!) Not only was the gesture extremely generous and professional, the massage she gave me was one of the best Ive ever had. Jen listened to what I wanted and needed, especially at this stage in my pregnancy, and I left feeling emotionally and physically relaxed. I would definitely book with Jen again and highly recommend her to prenatal and regular clients.
Frank Balthazar: Great atmosphere, my massage with Jen Strassberg was excellent. Looking forward to my next visit.
Alexandra Mcmanus: Victorias Thai massage is a must!!!
Mitchell: I've had two massages here. One was awesome, but an hour massage from Jennifer actually a 45 minute massage. Wait 5 minutes after you get ready and the cut you short. An update, I've been coming here more frequently, and things have really improved.
Nancy Kute: Went there for the first time today and had an hour with Rebekah. Definitely the best massage I’ve ever had anywhere! Such a warm relaxing atmosphere and everyone is so professional and kind. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment ASAP. You deserve it!
Jill Aleong: Positive:Professionalism,QualityI love the energy and attention to details at this studio
Varian Shrum: I will forever compare all massages to the 3-hour Full Body Reset at Okra. Holy wow.
Andrew Jones: Was visiting from out of town and on a whim signed up for the 60 minute vinyasa led by Amelia. Very glad that I did! The flows were so well put together, it was definitely one of the more productive hours of my life with the amount of work that was fit in! For someone like me still working on fundamentals, Amelia’s style of instruction was fresh and interesting, giving clear direction always without a focus on following instructor demonstrations. This experience will definitely have me planning another trip to Charlotte soon to try one of their outdoor classes!
Scott Paviol: Great location! Took gentle flow with Mindy and it was a great class. Will go every chance I can get. Just a great balance of energy, healing, balance, and stretch. You can tell Mindy is a yoga pro!
Rachel Grotto: Positive:ProfessionalismI had one of the BEST massages ever with Jennifer! She was incredible… definitely will be back!
Laney Tran: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI booked a 45 min focus massage to ease up my tense muscles, and it exceeded my expectations! Jennifer Parsley was so great, professional, and very communicative on what to expect before the massage started to eliminate any surprises. I felt so relaxed and energized after my massage. Will definitely book again!
Erica M: I signed up for a $30, one month unlimited class pass and went to a variety of classes with different instructors. I was so happy with Okra, that I bought another class pass and will continue to go!The instructors all do a great job of reminding everyone to modify poses throughout class to do what serves you best.I have to shout out Nicolette specifically for her easy-going and welcoming style. I laugh in every class I've taken with her as the instructor. I also love that she asks everyone to subtly signal her if they don't want any adjustments from her during class!
Dee X: Love Okra space and what it offers. I get Thai massages from Stephanie and she is a total gem. Their yoga classes are amazing. All the teachers and caring, knowledge and give you space to practice and assist if needed. Beautiful space!
Kasidy Jordan: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityNothing but positive experiences here :)
Kelly Taylor: I’ve been to a lot of yoga studios and Okra tops them all. Beautiful inside and outside yoga studio. Professional and knowledgeable yoga instructors. Offers a variety of different types of yoga and workshops. Excellent staff. And very authentic, non-pretentious vibe. No mirrors in the studio which really helps you focus. Perfect yoga studio.
Dawn Palladino: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI signed up for the 3 hr mind body Reboot w/ Hal and it was amazing! I loved everything about the experience. Hal is truly a natural intuitive healer. I've been to many places in Charlotte and this is by far my favorite and the best value. Thank you:)

Charlotte Yoga: what do users think?
Mallory Smail: This is the 4th yoga studio I’ve been to in Charlotte searching for the perfect hot yoga class. CY express is just what I’ve been looking for, I can’t wait until my next class and to try more!
Tim Petrinec: Great class today Lindsey, as usual! Highly recommended!
Jessica Barbour: UPDATE: Management has reached out and clarified that I did not lose a class. That is a relief. I recall the FitGrid app showing one less class so I have uninstalled that app and will only use the Charlotte Yoga app from now on. With all this said, I wish the exercise community as a whole would normalize that "life happens" and be more lenient towards missed classes or changes to schedules. Oh well....************************************************************I've been going to this location on and off for probably 10 years. After my babies I have gone back to exercise classes and it has been great. Unfortunately, I completely forgot about a class I had signed up for. Not only did Charlotte Yoga take the class (reasonable) BUT they also charge $20!!! I emailed them explaining my forgetfulness and apologizing and no one responded. Look, I get small businesses need to hold people accountable for things but this is too much. It really seems like a way to make a quick buck. Exercise should not be stressful or empty your pockets. I have one more class left on my pass and I will be moving on to another studio afterward. A real shame that this gave me a bad taste in my mouth because I love Suzanne's classes.
Larryelle Phillips: Awesome hot yoga experience. It's been some years since I did hot yoga, but I immediately remembered why I love it. No sweat like it. Go get you some hot yoga @ Charlotte Yoga! I'll be back!😊
Meredith Young: I dropped into this studio passing thru town.. Mia at the front desk was SO WELCOMING and SO KIND and made me feel so good, despite me showing up 1 minute before class started.. I loved the class, the studio, the vibe, the shower, all 5 stars!!!
Emerson Bayuk: Now that Yoga One is gone :/ I've been looking for a real yoga spot. Truly *hot yoga, high level, good stuff, this is one of those spots ✅
Danielle Simonetti: This is my absolute favorite studio in charlotte. As a yoga instructor myself, I can get selective with studios and the energy here is amazing. I’ve been going here for about 5 years now, but today Mia at the front desk was so accommodating it reminded me to leave a review of how nice all of the instructors and community is here! Highly highly recommend taking a class!
Jessica Baker: Beautiful space. Beautiful practice. Terrie is a bright light who gives AMAZING assists! Will definitely return when I am back in the area❤️
Janet Brunell: In town for 2 weeks. Called all the yoga places in the area but none of them met my needs. I do 1.5 hours of Bikram Yoga in Naples,FL in 105 degrees with modifications for my dbl knee-replacements. I went 3 times so far to CY in 95 degree heat &loved it! The teachers are passionate, soulful & hands on. The staff is wonderful. They give you towels +you can rent a mat. You will love going here.
dara nguyen: Great atmosphere..Great instructor
Lauren O'Brien: Charlotte Yoga has excellent instructors with excellent classes. They have a great blend of creativity, music, challenging/varying classes, and mindfulness. The yoga studio is spacious with high ceilings, mirrors, and windows. It is clean, with plenty of room to socially distance from your neighbors' mat. They offer virtual classes, too. Highly recommend!
Sarah Antoniadis: Best yoga studio in Charlotte! Kati B is the best
Morgan Buchanan: Great friendly atmosphere, I have really enjoyed the classes I’ve gone to.
elizabeth colwell: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreat teachers, and challenging classes.
Destiny Parsons: Best Yoga Studio In Charlotte! Love the instructors and at the end they give out frozen lavender towels to make the experience more magical!
chris busch: They always make you feel welcome! Great place.
Lauren Card: Love them
Dayana Vincent: Love, love, love!!!!
Chris Migner: I‘m new to Yoga, and have had the most amazing experience with Charlotte Yoga! The owner is fantastic, and the teachers are top notch.Great vibes, great pricing, great business all around. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Martin Pruitt: Incredible teachers and by far the best hot yoga in Charlotte! My favorite teachers are Melissa, Ryan, and Suzanne!
Carmen Cardenas: If you know what you want you can get it there. All levels to specific needs.

Ebb & Flow Movement Studio: what do users think?
Denise D: I attended a Capoeira workshop at the ebb and flow. The space was lovely. Plenty of room to practice. I noticed the clean bathrooms and changing facilities. The instructors were excellent. I learned a lot. I would definitely recommend this business for those that want to explore different types of movement.
cherry skz: Do you have k-pop dance?
Braelee Williams: I did a reiki session with Samantha and she completely changed my life. With anything in this crazy world what you put in is what you get out. I would absolutely encourage anyone at any stage in their life to book a session with her. Open your heart and mind and trust her! Will 150% be back to continue to work with it. It was life changing.
JazzyQ: Came for K-Pop dance class, had a blast. Will be coming every week! Eujin, the instructor, is great 🙂
Congruency Therapy & Wellness: I recently was able to check out Ebb & Flow for the first time and was blown away both by the tasteful aesthetics as well as the owner, Lauren. She seems to truly care about the standard of customer service as well as the level of pilates she and her staff provide.
Beth Quartapella: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThis studio has been a godsend! Lauren and her staff are so professional and such wonderful instructors! The reformers are state of the art and the towers are also awesome. Lauren’s classes are challenging and healing. I don’t know what I would do without it!
Aly Barnett: Beautiful space and amazing instructors! Pilates has been recommended to me after some bad injury’s. I always end up coming back! Definitely recommend trying a class out!
Caitlin Doherty: Such a beautiful and warm space full of people who are highly trained and really care about you feeling good. I love this studio!!
Lydia Williamson: Energy and vibes are EVERYTHING! The atmosphere of this studio has always been warm and inviting which is a great headspace to been in during class. Georgiana’s “Deep Stretch/Meditation” class is taught with patience and love. She has perfect balance between teaching new comers and Vets. Everyone leaves her classes feeling loose and limber. By the next day, you feel stronger.
Gurveer Uppal: It's a great studio! I went for a yoga class and everyone was super friendly and welcoming.
Angus McDonald: Have worked with Lauren for two years plus. Her new facility is outstanding. Working with her has permitted me to continue playing golf when I thought I was close to through.
Lauren Campbell: Lovely space with top quality equipment. I love the instructors as they are super fun and knowledgeable Try a Pilates class, yoga, boot camp or dance class. You will be so glad you did!
Todd Clark: My first yoga class, EVER. Been wanting to get into it for a while but as a newcomer it can be intimidating. I'll start by saying that the vibes E&F are far from intimidating, nothing but love and inspiration for personal growth! I took Georgiana's class and her patience, instruction and assistance was phenomenal. Her anecdotal approach to mindfulness was beyond refreshing. I may be a little sore tomorrow, but the reflection afterwards is a rejuvenation in itself.
LIAM MCMAHON: Enjoyed an incredible Pilates, dance class and Kettle Bell experience at Ebb and Flow highly recommend this new and beautiful facility!!!

Charlotte Family Yoga Center: what do users think?
John Selden: Had my first class yesterday. I wasn't expecting "Hot" yoga...but the experience was awesome & Kara was an amazing instructor. As a newbie to yoga I felt comfortable and supported. There's a feeling of community there that's palpable....welcoming and encouraging. I cant wait until my next class.
Joe Uttro: Always a nice stream and great staff
Cheyene Booker: I have absolutely enjoyed my experience over at CFYC. I have been at this studio on and off for over a year now and every single time I comeback I have the warmest welcome. All of the teachers are amazing so much so that I decided to join the YTT program. Be sure to check out the workshops that are constantly in rotation.
Matisa Jenkins: I looked this studio up and was super excited to practice some yoga only to get there and not be able to practice. I got to the studio at 7:15 when the class started. I was turned away because it was 7:17 when I walked up to the locked doors. And was told that they do not allow ppl to come in when class has started. Which I feel should be in bold print to make sure ppl know that when they book! I wasn’t even really late but to be turned away at 7:17 is ridiculous!!! Not to mention my money gone down the drain!! I really wanted to give this studio a chance!UPDATE: Even though I may not completely agree with the policy I completely understand. One of the owners Karen text and called me to apologize and explain to me in detail why they have that policy. She also accommodated me with a class and a refund. She was there to greet me and make me feel welcomed. The class was relaxing which I definitely needed. And I really appreciate her for reaching out. So I would recommend to try the studio but DONT be a late ;-)
Rebecca Dangler: Friendly, caring and attentive teachers! Studio is super clean! They offer heated and nonheated yoga, meditation, workshops, and fun community gatherings! The best around the Charlotte area!
Aparna Ravindran: Charlotte family yoga is a great place to practice yoga. I love the beginners yoga and deep stretch classes. It is awesome. Wishing that they have more number of these classes in a week
Amanda Coelho: If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I was searching for a studio that offered YTT, browsed studios from Rock Hill, Fort Mill/Tega Cay (where I live) and Charlotte and came across the website for CFYC. I saw the location and realized it was about an hour away from me but I continued checking the site out. I read about what the studio offers, classes, workshops, the YTT program, and it all sounded great. When I read the teachers bios I really felt drawn to the studio, I felt such good energy. I had found a few studios closer to me that also offered the program I was interest in, but I kept thinking about this one. So I scheduled a class and drove all the way there to feel it out in person. I instantly felt welcomed and a strong sense of belonging, everyone was so genuinely kind and friendly. The class was great, and even more the sense of community. I signed up and having been driving an hour each way for months now, and don’t mind at all because the feeling I get stepping into the studio each time is completely worth it. The owners, Vicie and Kara, have created a studio with such a magical atmosphere, where you can feel welcomed immediately and just know you are exactly where you should be. It really is a place for everyone, and I for one am so grateful to have found this gem. I can proudly say I completed my YTT program and WOW I have learned so much and truly enjoyed every minute of it! This studio has so much to offer, if anyone is looking for a studio to call home I highly recommend it! Drop in for a class and see for yourself!
Dale Levine: Charlotte Family Yoga is truly one of my happy places! The owners are the most welcoming and inspirational I have encountered and they have built an incredible team of teachers. The variety of classes are great and range from Slow Flow to Rocket Yoga, so something for everyone. There is no judgment and everyone supports others no matter where they are in their practice. Join us on the mat, you won't be disappointed.
Shelly Puri: Charlotte family yoga center has a friendly atmosphere & encourages all levels to grow in their yoga practice. The teachers are highly skilled and passionate in teaching . Absolutely the place to learn yoga!
D and K Herre: I love this place! Great energy, great teachers. Very welcoming for all, and fun!
Katherine Varelas: CFYC is an awesome yoga studio inConcord! I have been going for 5 yearsnow and loving every moment. They offera great variety of classes for beginners, intermediate, and advanced practitionersas well as non heated and heated studioclasses! Besides the variety of classes theyhave a great assortment of times forclasses from 6am, 9:30 am, to eveningclasses. Classes are affordable and theyhave a new student special for $50 for twoweeks of unlimited classes! I keep comingback to this studio for the warm andwelcoming instructors I have met hereover the years. They really make you feel at home like you’re family!
Bonnie Noble: Shallow clichés during class, inanities about "just be happy" that are nauseating to listen to. The owners have memorized the jargon and think they are being profound. Their responses to customers are discourteous and snide. The building is locked before class begins, so even if you are there early you will be locked out. Best to sign up ahead of time. But of course if you sign up and cannot arrive you will be charged extra, even if you are five minutes late and stuck in traffic. There are so many lovely yoga studios in the Charlotte area. Give this one a pass.
Tereza Oliveira: I love Charlotte Family Yoga Center. It is so welcoming and everybody makes you feel a part of the community right away. Teachers are fantastic, they assist students, offer options and don’t push in any way for certain postures while challenging the students who want and are ready for more advanced things. They frame yoga as a personal practice, which feels so true to me so I never feel pressured to do anything. They have a wide range of different classes so it is easy to find one that works. They are a part of my life, I cannot imagine going through life without my weekly consistent practice with them. I don’t have words to express how important they are to me. THANK YOU CFYC!!
Tina Dail: Charlotte Family Yoga is one of the best studios I have been to. The owners and staff are extremely nice and pleasant. You will feel like FAMILY here. Expect to feel welcome at the studio whether it’s your first ever yoga class or you’ve been practicing for years. The studio is always clean and well maintained. They offer so many types of yoga, I’m sure you’ll find a class you love!
Michael Burson: If you’re looking for an affirming, supportive, kind, diverse, and fun yoga studio, this is the one for you. The teachers know your name and they learn your practice. Whether you’re completely new to yoga or find yourself wanting to push your practice to a new level, this is the studio for you.
Heather Hopkins: CFYC offers a variety of classes for different ability levels. I enjoy the opportunity to practice from my house with the virtual class option or in studio. With consistent weekly class offerings and monthly workshops, there's always something special going on at the studio. Monthly themes and poses bring continuity to the classes. Those new to yoga will enjoy a yoga flow or a heated, long, slow deep yoga class. CFYC also has great kids and family classes in addition to hosting Yoga Girls Tribe.
katie C: This studio was so welcoming, kind, and fun. Cant wait to go back!
Ben Kalra: Warm & welcoming vibes over at CFY. Thank you to Vicie and team for doing an awesome job running this studio ♥️
Shaye Farrance: I love the Charlotte family yoga center! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and I’ve never left the studio feeling anything less than (unbelievably) sweaty and amazing! My favorite class is hot power sculpt with Lynn & I always leave feeling so empowered and accomplished about myself, but I’ve gone to many of the other classes that are offered as well and all of the other teachers and their classes are really awesome too.The studio is clean and bright. I’ve never had any communication issues and it’s super simple to book a class online ahead of time. If you’re a yogi looking to try out a new space for your practice, I definitely recommend giving CFYC a chance!
Edwina G: The teachers are great and nice.
kieva skinner: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityCFY, is all about fun, strength, self discovery, playfulness, and friendliness. I find this studio to be inclusive and accepting. I appreciate the continued virtual option.
