Rob P: Through PSI I found Cape Fear Aviation to take my part 107 exam. I drove from the north side of Fayettville (between Spring Lake and Sanford) to get to the airfield. I left early in order to give myself plenty of time. During the long drive I had time to think about the exam and my anticipation built more and more the whole way. When I arrived at the airfield my anxiety was at its peak. Dale came up to the truck and we started to chat. The conversation diverted my mind from the test and brought my anxiety down immensely. When I went inside I was met with a warm welcome from Cindy, thus elevating more of my stress. Then there was max the dog that was was a fun energetic but not overbearing, he a further distraction and removed more stress. With the relaxing, but professional atmosphere by the time I started the test I was almost completely relaxed. They had snacks and drinks readily available as well. My mind is that in which I’m easily distracted, but during the test the atmosphere was quiet and free of distractions.The kindness and professional atmosphere I’m sure translates into the cockpit. The stress of flying especially when you first start out makes flying that much more difficult. Having calm nerves and not having an instructor with an excitable voice allows the student to focus and not prone to over controlling the aircraft. If their calm demeanor they demonstrated is brought to the cockpit I’m sure they have amplitude of success and enjoyable flights for both the student and instructor. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking to fulfill their aviation needs and would take the trip daily just to have the privilege to be taught by them.

I felt comfortable leaving it there as they offered to hangar it. Price was reasonable. They went out of their way and came in on their off tjme to allow delivery and pick up of my aircraft. Would recommend!

Steven Stevenson: Norman Powell said he expected to have my plane done by the end of January. It wasn't done until the end of April. Two weeks worth of labor took 5 months! Norman Powell took advantage of me and the situation. Avoid this establishment at any cost.

It’s funny, if I carry it on. You all loose your minds because you don’t know what it is. If I check it you screw up even more. Also thanks for not closing my tooth paste. I’ll clean that up. I’ve been to almost every airport on the east coast. This TSA is the most special out of all of them. I remember why I always fly out of RDU.

michael e: Son went American airline to bush international, they changed their policy about only one parent can go up with an unaccompanied minor. Last year, we both were able to see him off. The airport is nice though the bottom is at least.

Trevor Ferguson: This is June 19th and I am a gold medallion, sky priority, sky miles delta member. I came in on flight on the 18th but my bags never made it. I came today to the airport to get my bags and the delta counter attendants have me sitting here for going on three hours and haven't told me or even checked on my bags. After three hours and me raising my voice they told me my bags are not there. Also there was a manager that said he was going to check on it and never showed back up. Very unprofessional.

Very convenient, restaurant, sundry store, plenty of seating.But the lines are extremely long! Long check in, no kiosk to tag bags, no bag drop. The TSA line also extremely long.

John: I have been coming through this airport for the last 20 plus years. It continues to improve with additional shops, restaurants, and airlines. The USO also has new recliner chairs for service members. The airport is very clean.

David Putnam: Worst airport, millions spent on additional gate put they can only handle one plane at a time. Don’t believe me? Try arriving when a plane is parked at the gate. You will wait for over an hour waiting on lazy ground crews, poorly trained desk staff and baggage handlers that talk/look at their phone more than they move luggage. I include American Airlines in the same worst category. Top tip-use RDU

Junior SpaceX: Went for my A&P refresher course. Very knowledgeable instructor will teach you what you need to know to get your A&P certifications.

K C: Very cool county airport, family owned by great folks. Very busy flight school activity. Has a challenging 35' wide runway. Neat place for plane lovers to just go hang out and watch for a while.
