Fayetteville Animal Protection Society: what do users think?
Angie Licona: I am writing this review with the utmost respect and empathy. I recently visited your shelter and wanted to share my observations and concerns in the hopes of advocating for positive change.Firstly, I want to mention that the staff at the shelter does not display enthusiasm or passion for their work. Making it a lot harder for these animals to get adopted. They’re definitely not passionate about they do anymore. I understand how draining and frustrating it can get. Animal rescue can be a challenging and demanding endeavor. However, during my visit, I couldn't help but notice some areas where improvements could greatly benefit the animals' overall experience. The back of the shelter was extremely hot. Observing the state of the shelter's AC unit, I recognized that it required attention. Hence, I kindly offered my services to assist with its repair, without any additional charges and was told they already have a guy by the young man in the front. The lack of networking and failure to provide necessary resources, such as closing doors for potential future use, gives the impression that the shelter may not prioritize the well-being and care of these animals. Additionally, increasing the number of staff or volunteers may help ensure that each animal receives individual attention and care.
Phlipper Brooks: I've called them three times over the years and have always received "this mailbox is not currently accepting messages". Every ... single ... time. The obvious fact that some people are getting through is astounding to me.
Marisol Dueñas: I was very interested to adopt a dog. Last week, I went ther but didn't see the inlet and I called and the attitude was terrible, the woman who answered didn't care at all. I went there again today and sent my documents and took my dog to the meets and greets after their approval. They took first a doggie I didn't apply for, it was raining very hard, and they took one of the dogs I applied for and yes, my dog was back of me, he was not playing under the rain, but he was fine. Then he said to go back to the office, the doggie didn't want to go back he was pulling her very bad. Then he didn't came back, I just stayed there until the woman who is normally in the front desk with very bad attitude, just came back and said it was too much for MY DOG... and I was like... whaaat??? And she said, yes, it is not fare for your dog to have a young female dog and there is the other doggie that I also applied for as another option, but it is raining, so no.Sooo, they don't know my dog, just because he was not playing in that moment during the rain and in an unknown place for him and he was back of my legs, then for them that was "not fare for my dog"??????They don't know anything about him, they didn't even ask about his personality, anything... but they determined it was not fare for my dog???If he wouldn't had been good, I would had said, no, he is not fine. But I know him much better, he is not comfortable in new places, neither in the rain and even with those things, he was fine with the doggie. Then yes, of course the best option is to have that poor doggie that didn't even want to go back to the biulding to her cage.If people there feel tired of their job, then they shouldn't do it if they are not really focused on helping these animals to find a home.
Connie Mcleod: Great at helping with animals.
Teresa lezma: While visiting family in NC for weeks, my papitco has desired a pet since meeting my brothers pet cat. My son and I took a trip to FAPS. This facility houses cute animals; however, not in the best condition entering the back area to view and spend time with animals it can be a little humid and dungeon-like feeling. Other then that, staff are pleasant and the facility offers a large field to walk and bond with a potential pet. Also offers fenced play areas out doors. Upon reading and considering, I will state adoption is simple and fee is agreeable as needed services are provided beforehabd to pet to assure if adopt a pet that owner adopts a healthy one.
Malikah Zafirah Muhammad: Love Sage. Pls come home to us.
Anthony Bjork: Awesome people
James Buckley: People there taking care of all the unwanted dogs
Sharon Holmes: Clean, well managed facility. Helpful, friendly staff/volunteers. Cats and dogs available. Adopt if you can!
K U I D UW E B E A N S: I left two of my precious dogs here three months ago,how would I know of there status,if they’ve been adopted or are still there.
Olivia Furbush: amazing staff, super helpful and informative for our first adoption!!
Ghetto Gero: I didn't adopt here. At least not yet, because I'm looking for a specific breed and age. The holding facility itself could use some improvement in the doggy areas - it's quite loud and echoey to the point of being painful to the ears. Without hearing protection the volunteers and workers could certainly face hearing loss. Its really that loud. While I'm not a vet I would imagine the dogs are potentially facing the same problem. Not knowing what funding is like, just a few hundred dollars in good quality foam on the walls would improve the experience for every party. I don't think it's that crazy. The employees and volunteers seem to actually care for the pets which is great. I've seen far too many shelters, APS, and adoption services that just don't give a damn about the animals. The future pets here seem to have proper exercise, nutrition, and regular potty breaks. If you're considering adopting give these guys a chance. There are so many lovely animals just waiting for their friendly forever home.
Rob Mc: Applied almost 2 weeks ago and was told I would have an answer last week. When I called and asked about it and questioned the delay, I was told if I did not like their adoption process I could go to Petco or Petsmart, and that I was not going to adopt one of their dogs to train mine. I want a second dog because my boy needs a companion, not a trainer. He is very well behaved but needs a partner in crime, and I like having two dogs. It's a shame, I really wanted to adopt a rescue.
john Red: This Walmart store have no tellers waiting on your food so you can pay for it this Walmart store right off of Ramsey Street is no good for anybody to go to they have other Walmart stores is better in this store don't go there
Denise Long: Fayetteville Animal Protection Society4.3(316)got the 1star because they didn't tell you about the illnesses the animal had while in there care, when you call to ask they say talk to vet or bring her back after the papers are signed they say they are no longer responsible they didn't care for the animal while the animal was there, what make you think i would bring her back. And she got shots for kennel cough which is like covid for dogs they all together barking and and what they do they dont tell you so someone it is viral and contagious. Bilsters on foot pads nails cut to short besides being fixed i am very disappointed in the service left wake county to go to cumberland County. So now we have a sick always coughing and sleeping, have her feet bandage just the back for now have to do the front but they really hurt she snapped at us trying to bandage the front. So they waived fees not to tell you have to take to the vet. I thought they took care of them there We've had since the 22nd of Aug.she didn't do anything but sleep and cough didn't say when she could have a bath, she had surgery but also have scares 😳 dont know what more to say . Today the 24th she is doing much better walking around still coughing with mucus everywhere I have had 2 strokes and this is a mess but will fatten her up to, ribs and spine showing didn't look healthy when she got here but doing much better. And yes the owner dropped her off they say on the 9th so why so bet up within 2 wks. 🤔. I will keep you guys informed of Sasha progress her name was maxy didn't answer to that so now she so she will be Sasha😁😆 the papers i have sayFayetteville Animal Protection Society4.3(316)
April Gibbs (Missyy): 💓
Alicer Bullard: I wonder, elderly people who could give an animal all of the love and care that they need, but live on a fixed income, cannot afford a $200 fee.
Alison Green: Wonderful no kill shelter. They go above and beyond for these animals. So glad we adopted our boy from them.
Laylatheboss Xx: How do I voulenteer here
Tony C: Great information and friendly folks. Answered all my questions...
Jaime Pompilli: I used to volunteer here and I absolutely loved it. The facility was always clean and I enjoyed spending hours playing with the cats! I adopted one of my babies from FAPS and I couldn't be happier. They made the process easy, her spay and first year vet visit was taken care of, and everyone was always super friendly. I recommend all my friends check out FAPS when they are looking to adopt.

Responded to our call, came out and inspected property to insure we didn't have anymore issues, fixed problem area. Stephanie Perez: Tommy was so helpful! He is resourceful and personable. Definitely will recommend Cape Fear Wildlife Control to all of my friends!
Stephanie Colvin: Jim is right on time. I saw a snake in my yard and I was done. Jim was dispatched and arrived at my house in thirty minutes. Unfortunately he could not locate the anaconda. However, he provided me with a thorough treatment of my entire backyard, starting underneath the house, under the patio, throughout the HVAC system, and the entire backyard. He also educated me on anacondas, okay black snakes. Jim was friendly, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Thank you Cape Fear and thank you 10,000 times Jim.Stephanie ColvinArmy Veteran
Denise lo: Very kind person got here immediately and got the critter . Trapped it without killing or hurting which is a plus .
Garrick King: Initially contacted CFWC to get 3 squirrels out of my attic. By the time Tommy came by they left but he was helpful in watching the hole in my soffit to keep them from coming back. Was recommended by neighbors here in Carolina Lakes who have had bats, possums, etc. removed by him with glowing reviews.
Heide Hotchkiss: We were extremely pleased and satisfied with Tommy’s quick response, thorough inspection and complete solution to our “critter” in the attic concern. He went above and beyond to assure that our home is fortified against any future intruders. We completely recommend him.

Mary Waterhouse: I am a senior citizen who lives alone and Tommy Rains has crawled on top and under my house many times to check for unwanted critters, leaks and other maintenance things. This is above and beyond his scope of work. He is tireless in his efforts to help his family, neighbors and friends. I think he is a “Hometown Hero.”
Toni Sacry: We had bats in the gables of our pool house and Tommy came over to Lumberton to assist us. The service was thorough. He made sure the house was protected after discovering evidence of some bat activity there also.Tommy is knowledgeable and professional. This affordable fix saved me a lot of future problems. Thank you Tommy.

Jaclyn Feeney: I had a wonderful experience with Cape Fear Wildlife Control. They were prompt in coming out, friendly, and extremely thorough. They did a full search of my attic and crawlspaces, recommended solutions, and helped me secure my crawlspace door. They truly went above and beyond. Great customer service. Highly recommend!
