Spacious Skies Campgrounds - Sandy Run: what do users think?
Sandra Strupe: Spacious Skies is a beautiful place to camp! It's very peaceful! I will definitely be camping there again. Staff was friendly and helpful.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Christina Kidd: This campground is a hidden gem. We have had NOTHING but positive experiences. We started our trip on a very rough note, leaving 2 campgrounds without even staying one night. We were actually going to call the trip a loss and go home but I called this place and the lady on the phone was SO NICE, she turned my entire weekend around. She was patient and kind. I cannot remember her name, but when I checked in she was just as sweet. Thank you so much for making my day! Anyways, even without her kindness the sites are great and absolutely worth a visit. There's 2 sections. One has a ton of trees and spacious sites. The further away ones are closer to the park and such but less trees. Sites are very level. There's a nice fishing pond with a trail around it and a dog park. Fire wood was cheap, they have ice. Pool is well maintained. Bathrooms are nice. The best part about our entire visit was the quietness! It was so peaceful. No loud partying or kids running around unattended. This place is absolutely worth a visit. We will be back.
Linda Garber: Only stayed one night, but very nice grounds, lady in the office that checked me in Saturday morning 7/1/23 and site escort, both were full of hospitality!Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More

Kris Johnson: What an amazing find! I used to live in Savannah and didn’t even know such a wonderful option existed. I think it was recently purchased by spacious skies and don’t know if they did the improvements or it was already this nice, but it’s 10/10 for campgrounds.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

David Collins: This was an RV campground with a really nice pool. The sites were clean and the restrooms were clean, spacious with plenty of hot water for a shower. There was a dump site available for the non-sewer sites. There was also a really nice playground. Propane was available on site to refill your tanks. There was also a dog park and most sites were shady.

Waldo's Beach Campground: what do users think?
James White Sr: I dumped a load of rock there today, glad to see the lake has water in it again. Does anyone know if you can put a boat in and fish again
Grumpy Old Man: My friends are living here in their RV full time. The people that run it are great! I helped them move it from another park, that was horrible. Lol. As soon as we parked it, and was done setting up.. The neighbors came over and introduced themselves! Real neighborly! Loved it. Plus, it's right next to a lake to fish. It also has a gate that closes at night and locks. I'd highly recommend this place. Great price, and friendly people!
AdventureAttorney: It was a stop through on our way to the Outer Banks, and we didn’t have sewer hook ups. It was ok. Close enough to a Walmart and grocery store and about 30 mins from downtown Fayetteville.
Paula Morgan: This is not a good place to stay. Owner is bipolar. Nice one minute and rude the next. Accused my dogs of doing everything wrong. Said my door was left open during the day while I was at work and they came and went cramping all over the park. I am not stupid to leave my door open and I have small dogs (Chihuahuas). There is no wifi, no pool as it advertised and most of the time we were there the lake had no water. You can't even get in the lake. The so called grounds keeper unhooked our power while weedeating ( if you want to call it that) During one of the hottest days last year (2022) when I came home from wok one of my babies had died from a heat stroke. The owner wanted me to throw her away in the trash instead of burying her. Didn't say sorry or anything. Don't Don't recommend this place at all.
Brandon Stone: A coworker of mine was there late helping someone on the campground and they locked him inside the gate, he had to call 911 befor they would unlock it to let him out.
David Crair: Nice Park Except a few things ,We spent 14 weeks here the owner is a older gentleman very nice. when we first got there he bent over backwards to help with a spot which we really appreciated ,the park also features a water park which is closed but ....we weren't there for that anyway .My only real issue is the amount of Large Scary Dogs ,we counted no less then 4 Pit bulls living there full time, very scary when you are walking for exerciseother that we are thankful for the spot!
Grace Chase: Nice peaceful campground with a nice serene vibe sitting off of a active lake that was flowing. Some much needed work to be done but a nice owner who is very friendly and welcoming and goes out of his way to make sure that your stay is commanding. He made me fill very welcomed.
Nakiabakerfreight NShauntePRIDGEN: Nakia Baker South View Middle School 1999 go Patriots. I love this place shout out to Anderson, Haidegger, Hechinger, Hendrick, Riddle , Generals Stadium, tally woods Elks Lion, Kiwanis, Camp Dixie, Parker's, Daxwood, Digital wave ANDY 💓💕👅😎
jimmie jackson: awesome place
Ngtshade Kendall: Beautiful campground away from it all and overlooking a nice little lake.
Wrelyn S: It's very pretty here even without lake access, it's quiet and the owner is nice. Our lot is a pull through lot where you can see the lake, so that's nice. Bring bug spray.
Greg Hall: Drove to the office checking on site for weekend no one in office drive through and left
Life with the Rhea’s: I live hear and love it
Chuck Lewis: Very nice but the lake is drained
James Hollingsworth: Not as advertised, the lake has been drained and it was a waste of time driving out with the kids. The water slide is brown and condemed to include any water activities.
marley trees: Very unprofessional I was calling for a group of 50 and I asked for pricing and the woman hung up on me, I called back 3 more times only to be sent to voicemail. If you don’t want to do your job and you want to ignore calls then you need to QUIT.
Jonathan Watson: AMAZING PEOPLE AND THE STUFF ARE SO NICE AND IF YOU HAVE KID THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO GO AND STAY
Lily Jean: UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE TO SHOW THAT YALL ARE CLOSED!!!
Lesbehonest P&L “#TeamRainbow” Lesbehonest P&L: Beautiful place 😍 very clean people are nice
Haley Gentry: Campground is open but there is no water in the lake an the pools look completely closed an have been for a while..
William Lee: Really nice quiet park on a beautiful lake. Lots of amenities, and close proximity to shopping or grocery stores.

Smith Lake Army Travel Camp: what do users think?
Brad Fairbanks: I didn't stay at Smith Lake, I was at the Clay Target center for the last few days and was very comfortable 1/2 mile off 87.... quiet and sereneRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Christopher Brett: This is, hands down, the best Army campground I've ever been to. I first stayed here in July 2021 during a PCS to Fort Bragg. The RV spots are large and there are plenty of pull through and back in. There are also small and large cabins. I noticed while here, there were tent spots right next to the RV spot I was in. So I made a mental note and when I got my retirement orders I knew that's where I wanted to stay for the weeks during out-processing. I am not disappointed. Especially for $10 a night. If I'm ever back in the area, I will stay here again.
Angela Maxwell: Beautiful scenic wooded area. Immersed in wildlife. Great hiking. Too cold to stay more than a day to enjoy much. Haven't been here in 20 years since active duty. Only issue is gravel road to rv pads was a white-knuckle drive for novice RVer.
Pat Mabie: Very roomy spaces and treed and can't beat the price!
David Matters: The whole reservation process is over the phone, which is made more inconvenient by the fact that they are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. It took over 15 minutes and multiple calls to book a campsite, after which they didn’t send me a confirmation email (I’m fairly certain my email address was transcribed incorrectly). It would be a big improvement if they switched to an online reservation system.
Gerry Johnson: Very clean and relaxing
Larry From Wisconsin: Military only. Very nice military campground. Wife says the best restroom and shower ever. Well maintained. Only problem is there are few sites and limited availability. We couldn't get all the dates we wanted during the end of September, off peak. The Fort Bragg Clay Target Center has additional campground sites but is a few miles away. Smith Lake is adjacent to the helicopter Army Air Field but there was not much noisy activities while we were there. This is an Army MWR campground so some noise is to be expected. Staff very friendly. They say they got the cable tow water skiing system fixed in time for them shutting it down for the season. I have since 1984 always wanted to do that but it has always been either broken or closed for the season. Fishing nearby but posted you need North Carolina and Fort Bragg fishing licenses. Don't know how someone passing through for a couple of days is supposed to be able to get a Fort Bragg fishing license. Full hookups. Very satisfied.
Mark Kincaid: We spent 3 nights here and had a nice time. The pull through sites were clean, well maintained and level. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The facilities were clean and well cared for. Being a military base and just across the lake from Simmons Airfield, you can expect some noise from helicopters from time to time, even at night, but on our stay they stopped around midnight. This is a good place to stay when in the area. We recommend it!!
Jim Ryan: The worst military campground I have ever stayed at. The staff is clueless I could only stay in one spot for one night then had to move because of how "full" they were my original spot stayed open for more than a week. If you are looking for a place that just has water, electric and sewer and nothing else this is the spot. The lake has been closed for years due to bacteria, that they didnt even tell us about we heard from someone else then had to look it up myself. The only thing it is close to is Simmons AAF. This is the worst military campground from the clueless staff to the actual site's that are concrete but nowhere near level. I could go on, but long story short don't waste your money here.
Nobody Special: Nice place, except the sign for the campground is on the wrong side of the building. Stopping by the Outdoor rece office to pick up our reservation, we drove in a big circle through the parking lot trying to find the campground. But overall, this place is clean, level site, FHP, Pull Through and has cabins also.
john stoyell: Nice campground and park. The only problems I have with it are the fact that the helicopters are flying late into the night right over the campground from the Army airfield next door and that they do not have wifi.
Bruce DeFeyter: Very appreciative of the facilities, staff, and management at this campground. I was evacuated from my home due to hurricane Florence and was immediately taken care of. No one was worried about cost, the length of stay, or any other minor detail. The management made sure we were settled, the cashier was always very accommodating and exceptionally polite. While the facilities themselves are a bit “Spartan”, they were clean and kept up. The roads are wide and easy to navigate with some of the sites offering a fair amount of space. Definitely, we will be back for a real “camping” trip (as opposed to needed a place to stay due to an emergency).
J C: We came here during hurricane Florence. Whoever runs this site was so helpful with giving us a safe place to stay as quickly as possible. Never lost power or water. We never flooded. They allowed us to pay after the storm subsided. This is obviously not the norm so please dont expect the same thing when you come unless of course you're in a state of emergency! We had to evacuate Camp Lejeune and we were so lucky to find this place. Please note that the lake has not been open for years. We met a local who told us this. Laundry on site and nice individual bathrooms with a/c inside each one. Lots of area to walk around. There's a fishing spot and playground just outside of the grounds.

Oscar Arredondo: Just rented a parking place for my Skoolie, a converted school bus. I will pay $60 a month for this spot. Dont know how good it is but I sense the owner to be a really good person.Wow! I just reviewed my comment from 2 years ago about Art's RV PARK and let me tell you that I'm 110% happy, satisfied and grateful with all the attention, care and professionalism that I receive from Art and Nicole.
Dustin Thweatt: This is such a great place to stay!!! The owners are extremely helpful and it’s quiet there. It's probably the most friendly RV park that I’ve seen in the area and it’s convenient to everything you might need (off of Skibo rd). It’s like a little hidden gem for long-term RV living. The ground is flat and the water pressure is good. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking a for a spot while staying in the Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg area. 👍

BJ's membership store where you get propane is really close. It is very peaceful in Art's Rv Park. Art keeps it clean and kept up. Art and his wife are good people. I came from the Midwest for a while temporaryon family business. I have been here since fall of 2018. Some friends who have stayed here over the years recommend Art's RV to me. I have also told other friends the same. I am very content here.
Bogey Bill: Very nice place to park a day or a month!! Close to all the big name stores; etc. A great quiet location!!
Gregory Pius: I can think of no more despicable a violation of a person's property and privacy than to allow your family to squat in the RVs you collect money to store. How dare you.
Jennifer Parrott: Wow....letting your own daughter squat in someone else's RV while they're undergoing back surgery is way below lowest. And then when they got their RV back, she stole some of there stuff. I will never use your facility. That is just so wrong. I hope you get shut down.
Jeffrey Tate: Why would you allowed a relative to move into a customers RV that they had stored there? That is absolutely horrible. How long have you been allowing this to happen on your peoperty?

Clay Targets RV Park: what do users think?
Laurel Stadler: Exactly as advertised with nice spots with water and electricity only...separate dump station on site. No other amenities. Beautiful location in the woods.
Tim Staley: Our group had a blast💥 literally here shooting. Well worth the drive to shoot around of skeet. Going to start coming here more in the near future. Staff was helpful and friendly for my first time being there. I "Highly" recommend this place.Picnic area: Bring a lunch too, Picnic tables.
Nicole B.: This was a great find for us. It is a unique campground. We paid $25/night for water and electric. No sewage hookup, but they have a dump station. They have coin laundry, 2 washers and 2 dryers, 6 shower/bathrooms, recycling bins, and a nice little grilling area with gazebo. This is a shooting range Thurs-Sun. So gun shots all day. We really didn't mind. They are done by 6pm. During the time the range is open they have a snack and drink bar open...which is nice. There are picnic tables all over.If we come back through we will definitely stop by.
Dairis Valera-Marquez: Excellent place and customer service
Sarah Elizabeth: The grounds are well maintained, maintenance, and staff are really nice. There is a dump station I would give this place 5 stars if they had sewer at all of the sites and bigger sites. I can literally hear my neighbors conversation from inside their camper and snoring when I have my windows open or walk outside. There is a paintball field in the woods, fire pits, and grills.overall nice place
Debbie R: Tight spaces. The range was not bad. Gunners came after 10am and done by 5pm.
Larry From Wisconsin: Open to the public. An Army MWR facility that is open to the public. I review the campground. Good prices. Grassy, level sites. Two areas. East is electric hookup only for $15 per night. West is water and electric for $20. Convenient RV wastewater dump. Free ice. Beautiful restroom with showers. Coin laundry $1 to wash and 50 cents to dry. Sites are close together but not crowded end of September. Some homesteaders but friendly. He said they live there full time but they ask them to leave occasionally whenever there is a clay target tournament. There are a couple of campfire areas set up that the homesteaders use in the evenings. Noisy when the clay target range is open but that is to be expected. They are only open 4 days per week and close at 8 PM. Surprisingly there is some road noise from the nearby stop light. Not bad in the late evening but poor soldiers start going to work at 0430. Woke us at "O dark thirty." Friendly staff. They were there on days the range was closed too, perhaps to prevent anyone from using the range when it was closed. The staff will greet you if arriving when the range is closed but they cannot accept payment until they turn on the cash register when the range is open. Good experience and inexpensive.
