Madelaine Mayfield: THEY ARE CLOSED. I tried to call and the lady said they are closed for the season. I really wish they would update the website, as I was visiting from out of town.
Rachel Misuraca Lewin: After realizing another kayak/canoe rental company closed for Nov-Mar, I thought I'd have to wait until spring to take my 3-year old daughter kayaking. We certainly got lucky today when I found Yakalacky on the internet, and not only were they still operating in November, they were super accommodating, affordable, and suggested a great location (Hope Mills Lake). Payment was easy too. Thank you Stephanie, we'll definitely be back!

I even asked if they serviced the cape fear river and she said absolutely. If you need kayaks for any event in the area, I would highly recommend Yakalacky. Saron Om: Theses guys are the best kayak rentals by far!!! Really easy to schedule rentals via call/text and they we’ll drop it off where you need it. All rentals came with paddles and life vest. I haven’t had any issues and have rented from them multiple times.

Jennifer Wood: Really fun day trip with the kids!! The staff and owner are wonderful and helpful. This time we went tubing but we will definitely be back to do some kayaking! I would have to say the owner is a major star and helped us get our locked keys out of the car! Great people and time!

Ryan S (RS): The overall experience at Cape Fear was outstanding. The online booking system, check-in process, tubes, river, bus transportation, and staff were great. My only complaint is that the entrance to one of the grass parking lots has a big drop off that is really tough to see when exiting the lot. My car fell off the ledge and nearly popped a tire and damaged the suspension. please extend the narrow entryway or put cones to mark the barriers to it.

SHIRLEY ODONNELL: I took the Introduction to Paddle boarding class with Brandi. She did a great job of explaining the types of boards and accessories that go with them. Walked us through getting on and moving about the board as well as how to get back on when you fall off - before we went into the river. Have to say, I was nervous about balance and falling but her instruction was so great, I really didn’t have any trouble at all and, I didn’t fall. Ready to go again and looking to invest in my own board!Rented a kayak the weekend before and had a great easy paddle trip. Next… a float down the river. And, don’t forget to stop in at the restaurant for a bite and cool drink.
Jessica Williams: What a great day on the river! The staff was kind, professional, organized, and efficient. The premium floats were awesome too! A quick rinse off and change of clothes is a nice option before having a beer and grabbing some fried banana peppers or pizza at The Lost Paddle.

We reserved two deluxe tubes, one child tube, and a cooler float. They have any extras that you might need there. We will make this trip a few times this summer. Next time, kayaking!
