Chandra Jennings: Been passing this spot since I started working and decided to stop by. I got there about 1:15 and the spot was out of food. Only pork chips, mixed vegetables, rice, and okra were left. The chef was so nice to fry me a couple of pieces of fish. The box that they were in were so warm and I was excited with anticipation as I got everything back to my desk. Unfortunately that anticipation ended once I tasted my food. The taste was just off with the fish although fresh was just dry along with the okra and vegetables. The service was on point, but the food not so much. I may come back another day and earlier maybe the food will be fresher?Also, it would be great if the menu were posted ahead of time online or on social media.

Jesse Morvant: Pretty good spot, food is home-style, and very quick through the line. Appears to be a fairly set menu each day (two entree's and four sides to choose from the day I went), but all really tasty, fresh, and lots of table space. Fairly priced, my meal was about 11.50 for a sizable portion of sliced chicken breast and spinach ravioli in Alfredo, rice with gravy, and crisp steamed veggies with a drink and roll. Dessert options looked really good too, but I'm a fat kid so had to pass.

I have only been there a couple times but yesterday my co-worker ordered and her total (although, prices are not posted) seemed a little high. She went back in to confer with the lady at the register and she did admit to overcharging her.My co-worker was told that she could not get a refund (also not posted) because there were no "refund sheets" available. Her only options was to either get something else or come back when there were sheets available. She opted to get something else because she didn't want to endure the hassle of coming back with the possibility of no resolve. Although apologetic, she claimed there was nothing she could really do. I think there should definitely be other alternatives when it comes to a better resolve for mishandling monies.

We reached out to them via website and was scheduled a consultation the same day, they actually listened to our likes and dislikes and their chef created a special menu for us. We had our wish list met and fell in love with the company at the tasting after meeting some staff.The day of our wedding was simply amazing and the food was just as good as we had it at the tasting! Our family and friends also enjoyed the meal and drinks! Our menu was: champagne chicken, braised short ribs, mashed potatoes, green beans. We had the blazed shrimp, chicken and waffles and bacon skewers for our cocktail hour.Our wedding was 6/4/22 and we can’t wait to host another event for our friends can cater! Someone named Portia reached out to me through email and asked when a good time would be to set up a consultation. I responded and never received a response back. I finally received a text asking to set up a consultation. I responded and we set it up for a day that week. The woman messaged me and said that she had a family emergency and would need to reschedule. Totally fine, life happens. We rescheduled. On our rescheduled day, I never heard from her. I emailed and texted without a response….. I tried to enter our video call at the time scheduled and was never let in. It is now 4 days from the day we were supposed to meet and still haven’t received any kind of message on why I was stood up. Safe to say that I will not even try to reschedule again because it is obvious that I can not rely on this company and they must not need my business. Apparently I should have read the reviews because it seems like a common problem.

Coco_Chanel: I was waiting to see if I got a response from this business but enough is enough.I had a consultation scheduled for April 12, 2022, I was stood up. I sent a email to see what happened, I never got a response. The following day I reached out to The Friends Table establishment to see if they are affiliated, and explained what happened. The person said yes they are affiliated, apologized and scheduled a consultation for April 18th. We had a nice consultation, she was very informative as we discussed details. She then told me that she would send menu’s and quotes to my email, I have yet to receive them. I reached out twice, by Facebook messenger and text. I received a response on Facebook about someone getting back to me but my text message hasn’t been replied to yet. At this point, I will take my business and money elsewhere. If you give poor service in the beginning, it will continue that way.

Melody Hardin: We were CATFISHED by Friends Upscale Comfort Food. I would be leery about ordering from this place for any business function. We were sadly disappointed. Looking at the website and menu is nothing like what we received. The communication was great until the food was dropped off. I have sent an email and called and no response from Porsche. Our order was just over $1100.00. We ordered food for 20 people three appetizers; spinach dip, sesame chicken balls, and coconut shrimp. For the meal we ordered the Da ville Salad with three different dressing, chicken marsala and stew beef (pot roast), 3 vegetables for sides; roasted potatoes, green beans, corn and 20 dessert shooters. We also paid $100.00 for set up; disposable chafing dish buffet set & Chafing fuel/ sterno. The day the food arrived it was late. The two girls dropping it off stated they were told this was a dropped off. So, we ended up using our own supplies to set every up; sterno, chafing dishes, etc. One of the staff members from Friends Upscale Comfort Food stated she only had small Dixie paper plates. So, we had to use our plates. The silverware we were given was the cheapest silverware you can buy. It broke while using it. So, guess what? We had to use our own. We were suppose to get the clear plastic plates with our delivery. Let's move on to the food. The staff from FUCF had two bags of food. I asked is they needed a cart to get the rest of the food? One of the girls from FUCF stated no this was it. The food that was delivered was so disappointing. The food was cold when it arrived. The coconut shrimp had no coconut at all (we paid $1.50 extra person serving), it looked like Gordan's fried shrimp from a grocery store. The shrimp had no curve and tasted just like Gordan's in the box shrimp. The salad we ordered had no onions on the menu, which was great because we have people that are allergic to onions. Our salad was loaded with red onions and only came with ranch dressing. The chicken marsala was extremely thin a piece. Looked like the chicken breast was sliced in two, to make two serving instead of one. The roast we could not cut with our forks, so we used a knife and let's just say we had to work at it. And lastly the desserts. No dessert shooters came just to big bowls of pudding. I have reach out to Friends Upscale Comfort Food and Porsche has not called me. The sad part of this is we have many events that we ordered catering. This was a time for FUCF to shine and get multiple opportunities to cater again. This experience was a bad one. I am still waiting to hear from Porsche!

Melisa Finley: I hesitated to write this because I could not give a 4 or 5 star review... but because I rely on reviews when seeking services, it's important that I do my part.I will start by saying that the FRIENDS team is made of very warm and kind people that were open to feedback throughout the process.This business has great potential- but at the end of the day, their process needs a lot of work.I was very optimistic given all the great reviews and my venue's personal feedback about this caterer. Our confidence was first shaken at our tasting experience because there was a gap in communication with the different team components and our menu selections were not prepared. The team adjusted on the spot and whipped up our delicious selections with the disclaimer that they would taste even better day of because the meats would have time to marinate/slow cook. I was transparent with the team regarding our experience and we were reassured the day of would be great.On the day of, so many things went flat-out wrong with catering.The biggest things I'll highlight are:i.) Food was served coldii.) The entrees were poorly seasoned- WHICH WAS THE BIGGEST SURPRISE. I had guests asking for salt... but there was no salt on hand for guests to useiii.) Bartender ran out of water with more than an hour to go to the event's endiv.) There was no knife provided to cut our wedding cake... so we didn't... cause we couldn't. We cut into it the next day at home.Many of my guests, including myself, bought fast food on the way home because dinner completely missed the mark.I am so sad to write that one of my worst fears for that big day came true. I did speak to a team member some days after (I had to request a call for feedback) and she was very apologetic. She was not at all defensive and was receptive to all the feedback. She offered some context with some of the mishaps... but nothing that fully justified. Similar situation to the tasting but this time the damage was grave.Retrospectively, I wish I had requested a refund of our deposit after the tasting and searched for another caterer- EVEN with the tight timeline by that point.To end on a positive note, I can say the dessert chef is PHENOMENAL! Both the tasting and wedding cake/cupcakes were DIVINE. Moist, DELICIOUS, and just out of this world good! We got a variety of cupcakes were were unique and delicious, along with a 6 inch strawberry cake with vanilla frosting- soooo good.

Prim Proper: We retained the team to cater our wedding reception. Not only did they handle the food, they also managed the bar! They worked with our budget and exceeded our expectations - we had a cocktail hour with their amazing appetizers and champagne. Our families were impressed and said they felt like royalty with the upscale treatment. After cocktail hour we were served buffet style by table. I saw them on social media but never had a chance to try it - the team sat with us and helped us pick our meal, the meal style, the cocktails, and we were able to do a private tasting! We highly recommend them and will be using them for all of our events!

Patrick Letts: Ok, so let me begin by saying that hosting my wedding at The Belmont Village was the right thing to do. If you need a place, and a team to take care of you then this is the place. The Belmont Village has a classy and historic feel to it. There is history behind this place. The actual brick stone laid in some of the sidewalk dates back to the beginning of Fayetteville. Think of this place as of all in one package. They can provide you a photographer, DJ, staff, wedding Director, food, bar, and a location all in one. Are you stressing...Then come here. They will take care of you! Planning a wedding will be stressful, but I promise you Becky(Wedding Planner) & Carol(Wedding Director) will take care of you. This place can host a large group of people. The food that they cooked for my wedding was so amazing. We got the filet mignon and chicken and it was so splendid. Talk about perfection. We were able to cut the steak with a plastic butter knife. So tender and delicious. Like everyone that has their wedding my wife and I were getting nervous. Wondering if they were able to host enough people, worried about the food & cake, and just how everything was going to turn out. Do not underestimate them. They have your back. They will be there for you, and most importantly know what they are doing. They called all of it. Carol knew just how to help run the wedding. Such a big help. The DJ(Tommy) had everything from beginning to end on point. Kept the vibe going the whole time. Nailed all of the music just as we wanted. Give this place a chance. They will take care of you! They are so helpful and kind. They even had a bar available, and were able to fulfil everyone's needs too. Of course I need to do a shout out to Eddie and the crew for taking car of all of the bar needs. Your wedding day will be busy and hectic, but if you come here you will have a very special time. You will find yourself taking multiple moments to capture the magic of your special day, and will be able to look back and appreciate how much they took care of your needs to make that happen.

I also tried to call and left a voicemail and still no response. After hearing such raving reviews, I was disappointed to find such a lack in communication.

Marcia Reese: I'm disappointed. We had received so many rave reviews of this place and I was looking forward to working with them; it was recommended to me for our daughter's sweet 16 event. Our communication started out via email, text, then to phone. We talked a few times between Jan-Feb, Chef Lou (so she told me) sent over menu ideas and over the phone made a few suggestions and things were going good. By mid-February, the communication on her end stopped. I would call/text/email about what my husband and I decided on, in other emails and phone messages I would leave, I would ask about a contract and deposit and no response. My last attempt to reach Chef Lou was March 26th at 5:22pm, asking her to let us know if she was still interested in catering our event, if not please let us know. Well, its April 9, 2022 and still no response, so I guess I have my answer. This is unfortunate, because it has left us in a place where it's probably too late to find someone that is able or even willing to cater for us. I hate that we are now in this predicament for our daughter's Sweet 16.

I chose scrambled eggs, bacon, grits and a pancake. I asked for my eggs to be scrambled soft with cheese, and crispy bacon. My friend ordered an egg white omelette. Both were prepared perfectly! The pancake was giant. The best pancake I've had in a restaurant in the Fayetteville area. Will definitely be back! I want to try their Sunday Brunch - served only on the 1st Sunday of each month. They also have a bakery across the street called "Trade Street Sweets." Popped in just to see what they had. It smelled heavenly and the baked goods looked delicious. Looking forward to trying the bakery too.!

We had everything from a mashed potato bar to shrimp and grits to pulled pork in cornbread muffins topped with coleslaw. Also, we all understand that no matter how good the food and food presentation, it wouldn't be complete without the service. I ask for the eggs with the yolk runny and the whites not runny — I never remember what that’s called, but they do. When you let the runny yolk out and it covers everything, it is DELICIOUS! Healthy and delicious!

Shamiya Odom: It was my first time eating there. I didn't even know about this place. I'm so glad I went. The service was friendly, and the food was amazing. I had the stew beef n rice with onions, yams, n green beans n his puppies. I never had stew beef cooked so tender, n the yams just melted in my mouth. It's like each bite I had the taste got better n better. Green beans are one of my favorite vegetables, but they had nothing on those yams. Thank you for serving me n making my day so memorable.

Sir King: If you pass this place you will assume it is closed down. They do not take any care of their building, or the grass. The inside is no better. They have a 91 sanitation grade. Kim & Thomas Parker: So where do I begin. Last week 4-21-23 we had a BOGO coupon for Boston market so we decided to stop by for lunch. Lady ask us what do we want so ordered 1/4 white then she proceeds to tell us it will be 21 minutes before the chicken is ready. OMG so I ordered turkey because I didnt have 20 mins to wait on it. Today 5-3-23 we had another BOGO so we decided to try it again and it was NOT worth the time it took to walk in this place. They did have chicken this time but it was DRY AS A CRACKER. The corn was bland and had the taste of a piece of cardboard so I replaced it with mac n cheese and it did have a lil bit of flavor thanks to the cheese sauce. The mashed potatoes n gravy was about the same as corn except the gravy had a lil bit of flavor .The corn bread was cold and dry and had no flavor at all.. Had no sweet tea. Had no lemonade only soda to drink.. I WILL NOT BE EATING AT BOSTON MARKET EVER .. IF THEY DONT WORK ON THEIR FOOD IT WONT BE LONG THE DOORS WILL BE CLOSED FOR GOOD...

Tashica King: I went to Boston market yesterday after I had not been in a while and discovered the quality of the food has went downhill I got 1/4 white chicken it was not seasoned at all and wasn’t cooked all the way through the sides in the case looked horrible to begin with I got what usually is my favorite the sweet potato casserole it was very lumpy and stringy and you could definitely tell they put no sugar molasses nutmeg or cinnamon in it and the mashed potatoes were so dry and old tasting I ended up throwing my whole plate in the trash because I live so far from Boston market this was a complete waste of my money.

Mz Gemini: Our visit was horrible. My husband and I bought 5 rotisserie chicken plates. First off, they barely had any sides. The spinach weren’t creamed, just plain unseasoned spinach. The yams were clumps of sweet potatoes without any sugar. But what we didn’t realize was that the chicken wasn’t completely cooked. We had to put our chicken back in the air fryer but even after that the chicken looked old. We ended up throwing our plates in the trash. Disgusting. Boston Market has lost our business forever.

Where do I start?!?Keep in mind that it opens up at 1130 and I went at 12:30pm. That is when I saw and experienced all of this.The landscape around the restaurant is a mess. If it wasn't for cars in the parking lot, I would have assume that the building was abandon.The sweet potato casserole was nothing but mushed sweet potatoes with oatmeal flakes on top. It was nasty.The bread was hard and still and stale. The rotisserie chicken was burnt and dry.No minute maid pink or regular lemonade, no drinks in the cooler. Half of soda dispenser were empty; the restaurant itself was nasty.I love Boston Market to the point that I would go and purchase double the sweet potato casserole and a half of a rotisserie chicken at least once a month but now, after what I saw and experienced today, I will not be returning.I brought 2 plates.......I was very displeased with my meal to the point that I had to give it to both of my dogs and even then, I had to mix it with something else so they would eat it. That way, I knew my money wasn't wasted.Either the place needs to be closed down or it needs to be under new management. I would be ashamed to bring family from out of town to that establishment.If I had 10 thumbs, I would give it 10 thumbs down👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Ivette Rodriguez-Vega: I Ordered the Family (3) of the New Thai Sweet chicken to go but got a regular rotisserie chicken instead, the sweet potato Casserole was soupy and the cornbread hard as rock.It was totally disappointing to say the least. I called the store and the phone rang and rang then rang some more with no one responding. I even contacted the catering section who also tried calling the store with no answer. To pay over $30 for this regrettably poor excuse of take out is a crime. I don't mind paying that price if it would've been edible but sadly it wasn't then to make matters worse nobody answers the phone to even take accountability.
