Episcopal Shoppe: what do users think?
Debra Ireland: I ordered the book of common prayer as a gift in April 2023. I cannot get a response on the status at all. My credit card was billed for this purchase.
Jordan: Like many others here, I wish I had seen these reviews before I placed an order. I ordered an imprinted BCP on May 10th, and my credit card was charged $135. It’s now June 6th, and I’ve heard nothing. I’ve sent emails and left voicemails with no reply.Episcopal Shoppe: it seems like you aren’t able to run your business right now so perhaps you should stop taking orders until you are able to properly run your business. And I hate that you have the word “Episcopal” in your name and aren’t doing a good job representing our church by doing bad business.
Gina DeMoss: I ordered 3 Prayer Books on March 13, 2023. I was having them imprinted with my grandsons’ names for Easter gifts. I received an email confirmation the day I ordered. However, I have not received any correspondence since. I have called and left several voicemails with no réponse. I have also left email messages with no response. I have also called several times during business hours and no one ever answers. MyAmerican Express was charged $208 in March. This is extremely frustrating! I would not recommend using them. I too wish I had read these reviews before ordering. I just want them to credit my AMEX if the prayer books are not available.
Robert Irwin: I paid $106 for an episcopal book of common prayer on February 5th. It is now March 27th and I have not had any indication that the company plans to fulfil my order. I have left several messages asking them to call me back and/or let me know when the order would be fulfilled. So far, I have yet to hear back from the company.
All Saints Office: Update 3/14/23: This seems to be the best way to communicate with this vendor. Episcopal Shoppe: I received your email concerning the product order in early Feb. Please check your email for a request to cancel my order.I ordered a BCP/Hymnal with imprint on Nov. 29. Have not been able to get a hold of anyone to find out the status and have not received any info from the vendor. At this point I would like to cancel the order and get a refund.
Mary Evelyn Brown: I ordered a Book of Common Prayer and Hymnal on January 12th and paid for it. I still have not received it. I have made numerous phone calls and sent numerous emails as well. There has been no response. This is very disappointing and I wish that I had read these reviews. Before I ordered. Poor customer service!
Nicholas Reamer: Do not order from this store. I placed two orders that I am still waiting for. It has been a month and this store does not answer the phone, or respond in email. I called the local episcopal church and stated they would relay the message to the store. Apparently they did not because I am still waiting. Bad business practice all around
Claire Dodd: My church placed an order with Episcopal Shoppe in early January, I've had no correspondence from them at all after 3 emails and 4 phone messages. I truly don't like leaving bad reviews, but I cannot get in touch with anyone and would like a refund for our order.
James Reho: This company's service and communications are TERRIBLE.We ordered Vestry pins for a parish event and the pins were sent via UPS with a signature required. We never asked for, or would have agreed to, this stipulation, as our parish office is only open part-time. UPS returned the package. My parish administrator called AND emailed The Episcopal Shoppe to rectify this and they never responded.Luckily, we have an awesome parish, and former Vestry members surrendered their own pins to save the day! We received an automated response, weeks later, that did not address our correspondence and was simply triggered by the returned package. I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. Terra Sancta is a good company and I will be using them instead!
Suzanne Bilyeu: Never order from Episcopal Shoppe! In November, I ordered a personalized Book of Common Prayer as a Christmas gift. They instead sent me a hymnal intended for another customer. I returned it promptly and, the one time someone answered their phone, I was told that the prayer book was being imprinted and would soon be shipped to me. It's now January, and I'm still waiting. These people never answer their phone, never return calls, and don't answer emails. Now, I'm hoping that they will at least refund the $76.20 they charged my credit card.
Peter Thibodeau: I placed an order in mid-October. They do not reply to messages via their website, via email, or via phone. I tried calling the church where they're based, and that person offered to pass my message along. Still no response.I wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered. I never would have used this website. My wife never got her special gift for Christmas. I was told on Christmas Eve (a reply!) that it was sent. I live 90 miles away from their shop. It's January 4th. Still waiting...FOLLOWUP: The company contacted me, apologized for the oversight, then refunded my order AND shipped it right away. I received it and it was just what I wanted. Late, but they came through and were very kind in resolving this.
TherisA Thompson: Ordered a Bible on 5 Dec, was aware of delay for script but was not told how long of a delay. Have called and emailed with no response. 9 days later still no response. Not a good experience. Now scrambling for a replacement for Christmas.
Nancy Zeliff: I ordered a Church Registry on November 7, 2022; my Credit Card was charged on November. I called on December 12 to inquire and left a message. I have not gotten a return call about my order. If I had read these reviews first, I would not have ordered from this vendor. I want a refund please.
Gail Leist: Do NOT buy from The Episcopal Shoppe. I ordered a combination hymnal/prayer book on November 20. Today is December 7. I have called approximately 15 times and sent multiple emails. No response‼️. It is sad that church site is not dependable I received no responses and no package
Mindy Morgan: I ordered a personalised prayer book on August 4th. It never arrived. I called, emailed, and messaged multiple times and got little to no response or updates. One of the few responses I got was a promise to have it shipped by August 31st. This did not happen. It is September 27th. And my last response “to check on it” was Sept. 6th
Angie Bouknight Heffner: Ordered a prayer/hymnal a month ago. Sent numerous emails and left phone messages as to the delivery date. No one has responded. Disappointed and do not know the disposition of my book.Angie Heffner
Molly Short: Very disappointed!I recently placed an order and was charged for the transaction, but I have not received any information from the company about when I will receive my order. I have left multiple voicemails and contacted customer service several times with no luck. I have been pleased with this organization in the past, I am not sure when their quality of service started to declined. I would not recommend ordering anything from this store.
Annie Jacobs: The Episcopal Shoppe has excellent gifts and supplies. They offer excellent customer service. People are pleased with the gifts that I give them from the Shoppe. They also have the best supply of current religious books. I have enjoyed the speakers and seminars that they offer. The Episcopal Shoppe is truly a blessing in my life.
Ben Hatcher: The Episcopal Shoppe provides great customer service and offers an extensive inventory of Episcopal and Christian product. I have purchased many items and have always been impressed with the prompt order fulfillment and availability to answer any questions or offer assistance with any order. I appreciate that this organization is run by volunteers and supports many Episcopal and Christian outreach programs with its proceeds.
College Arms: Ordered a calendar. Came two days later. Thanks.
Laura Hatcher: This is a great place to shop during Church! They always have a great selection to choose from on Sunday mornings.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
Melody Farnham: Went there to get Harry Potter for my little man and to look at calendars. Staff was more than helpful in assisting in locating the calendar section. The atmosphere is always welcoming and relaxing.
Jamie Barillas: Always loved BN and even a member, however, whoever the girl with the shaved head who is heavier set with a septum piercing (there's literally only one and they purposefully covered their name tag) was absolutely rude as hell the other day when we're in there. Yelling at customers, horrible attitude, rolling eyes, sarcasm when talking to customers, rushing customers through the mine even those that had questions, talking down to customers, slamming books, I could go on. I'm not sure if it w as because it was 2 days before 4th of July and she had to work? I'm not sure if it's because she hates working there? Or if it's because the line was long? Either way, she's pretty terrible. Driving to Raleigh for BN sounds better than dealing with this garbage. If I can locate her name. I will update this review.
Nicodemous: Great Barnes & Nobles good selection of books, collectables, games, movies, music and kids toys. I always find something neat every visit. Not to mention they have a great Starbucks in house also.Definitely one of the best places to past the time in Fayetteville if your trying to have a relaxing day.
Christopher Rivas: Great place to browse for books.
William Parker: Been coming here for years, mainly for the great selection of music. I don't appreciate that they downsized it but there's still a bit of stuff to look through.
Lightsaber360: I love going into this store, even though it's so big, it feels like a cozy shop.
blaze woodruff: They sell books! 5 stars :)
Jim Squibb: Enjoyable place to shop
Summer Dobbins: Quiet and a great happy atmosphere!
MELISSA Dossantos: GO WOKE GO BROKE....BOYCOTTING
Cheryl Scott: Was unable to find a novel and asked a staff member and he walk me right to it only one was left and he checked me out with a very big smile
Michael Burke: Classic B&N atmosphere. Coffee Shop meets book store vibe.
Michelle S: We go here nearly weekly. Biggest frustration is that they let people spread out food and bags and stuff on the kids table, leave it there to take up seats and space but don’t actually sit, and don’t shoo them away. I’ve even complained and they didn’t do anything. The workers are often busy chatting to each other, personal conversations, rather than helping customers. It’s normal location, normal variety and good stock, but the service is less than stellar and they really need to do something about the kid section.
Al Taz: Only bookstore in Fayetteville. Store renovations are awesome! Looks totally different. Staff is helpful and friendly!
Momma Shelly: Lovely place to talk with friends and grab a bite at Starbucks and has great books
Green Girl: Mahrya is phenomenal! She is a barista at the Starbucks and was so kind, patient and attentive to my order and concerns. Went above and beyond, deserves the recognition.
Angelika Morgan: Sooo much of exciting merchandise I could not view all. Got what (and not) I needed and had an excellent shopping experience.
Thomas Viger: Very clean organized and friendly atmosphere
Nicholas Gardner: Seemed very unorganized and messy. Really think there should be a kiosk available to search for an author or specific books availability and location within the store.
chia eban: Love this cute place
Dereka Robinson-Jordan: Good experience, store manager went above and beyond for my mom.
