Grant-Murray Real Estate, LLC: what do users think?
Natalie Smith: Everyone I dealt with at GMH was amazing from start to finish! Jeannette Arias was our agent and was phenomenal! Dedicated, hardworking, honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable. She referred us to Derek Haley, a local lender who works wonders! 10/10 recommend Jeannette and Derek!
Sara Matthews: Critical:Professionalism,Responsiveness
Me Ayo: I've had a long business relationship
Ben Borger: Critical:ResponsivenessSet up an appointment for a walk through, they never showed. Then after calling to see about setting up another day find out on my own the property is already under contract. Complete waste of time. I’ve never encountered realtors like this.
James Kenyon: I wish I could give 0 stars. They are worst they managed my rental property for like 6 years and never checked on the property. My house is in pretty bad shape now due to them ignoring clear areas that needed repairs. My poor tenants must have thought I/we were slumlords. Just changed companies and it definitely shows that grant Murray does not have a clue what they are doing.
Prototype Gaming: I was on the buyer end of the deal and Corey Turner was representing the seller. He is not a good person to deal with in real estate. The repairs that were done to the property by the sellers rep were cheaply done and half done and had to be pushed by my realtor to get it done properly. He tried to race bait my agent as well as changed the original amount to be split with my realtor. He is cheap, a lowballer and doesn’t sell a house a month on average. I think he needs a dog to keep him company because life must be lonely at the bottom..
Linda Poe: Slum lords... Want you to pay for everything that goes wrong with the house. It wasn't my responsibility to know where reset switches are when they are not labeled. The house was dirty when i moved in it. The house is more clean then when i moved in.
Dierdre Parker: On Monday (7/13/2020) I went into their office to inquire about a property that I had seen online. I was told that the property would be available the next day. I returned the next day and was told that the owner had pushed that it back until Friday but that I should call first to make sure that the property was ready. I just got off the phone from someone in the office who told me that the property would not be available until the 21st and that she (the person on the phone) did not know why someone would tell me that. She was very condescending. After I relayed the entire 3 day saga to her she then indicated that she is just filling in and the person who was usually at the front desk was off today and perhaps that was the case. I'm not sure if that was "accurate" or if there was something else at play.
M R: Once they have your money they are not interested in fixing any issues you have with your rental. I would especially warn young people who are renting their first place, they will take advantage of you if you let them. They are sweet and nice at first, but as soon as they have your money they turn completely unprofessional and unresponsive. My daughter and her husband tried several times to get them to fix issues with their rental. They were hung up several times and even laughed at. Thank God they're finally getting out there. Stay away from this place
andrew williams: Do NOT rent from these criminals! They charged me an application fee for a property they knew was already rented! They then refused to refund me my application fee.#criminals
Yulanda K: Wonderful staff, busy but wonderful!
Kristi O: I could write a book on how horrible this company is. If you are an military family DO NOT go through them. They have been a nightmare since day one. Every time I have an issue and I call I have a different property manager because they never stay to long. I got a text saying they are preforming an inspection on my home today and I never received any prior notice! I am out of state and DO NOT appreciate someone going in my home when I’m not there. I called them and they said they have to many properties to call people to let them know so they send a email. Which I didn’t receive a email and a email IS NOT a proper form of communication when it comes to entering my home without my consent. When I moved into my home it was trashed and roach infested. The pictures they posted online of the home were pictures from ten years ago!!!!!! Which they failed to let my family know. Being military we trusted this company with putting us in a safe home before we moved states. STAY AWAY from this company go somewhere where they value their tenants!****Update to my reviewI rented from this company for over three years I took VERY GOOD care of our home while renting there. When it came to leaving we were charged for things that were ruined before we even moved there, such a money hungry company.I am warningALL MILITARY FAMILIES DO NOT USE GRANT MURRAY.they are understaffed and have way too many properties to take care of which leads to lack of care for the homes.I am so happy to be done with them and would never recommend them to anyone.
A Gulb: They just want the application fee money and you will never hear from them.
nari jess: First and foremost, this agency doesnt care about their tenants, their main concern is their money. They dont care if your home is borderline decrepit and nonfunctional appliances. Rotting ceilings. They do not care about the well being of thier clients. One employee came to my home, the day I was supposed to move out, acted completely out of line and forced me out with my belongings still in the home!!!! GRANT MURRAY IS A CROOKED COMPANY, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.
PAUL DALPE: We were contacted by agent with Grant-Murray regarding our property in Hope Mills. He solicited representation for our commercial property and told us he would provide us with his commercial expertise and services listed on his website so we agreed. The realty of his representation was that he provided little to no service and when we needed a simple market analysis. He referred us to someone else at our own expense.
Sarah Hadi: I called today upon seeing a listing for a rental that I was interested in. I specified which rental and the lady (Mary, I believe) said to come on in to pick up the keys for a self-guided viewing of the place.I went in, put down the $20 as collateral for the key, and headed down to the property. Turns out, she gave me the incorrect key which actually opened a different unit that was already occupied. Had I tried to enter that unit, who knows what could’ve happened and how the tenants would’ve reacted.I had to drive all the way back from downtown to their office on N. McPherson to get the correct key, to then have to drive all the way back down to view the correct unit.I understand people make mistakes, but when I made sure to clarify which unit over the phone when I first called, and again in person when I went to pick up the key, I just don’t see how a person whose sole job as an office assistant is to do basic tasks, gets it so wrong.Funniest part of it all is that apparently the unit I intended to view was the only one that was vacant, so how she got mixed up and gave me the wrong key to an occupied unit is beyond me.I will not be applying to rent from this real estate firm despite really liking the property and price. If you can’t get the most basic thing right from the get-go, then I can’t imagine the negligence of more important issues down the line.
Emily Johnson: Absolutely horrible experience. I will never rent from them again.
Rahid Marcos: The high reviews must be fake. This company has horrible business practices and is a complete joke.
Ashley Baker: I could write a novel on the ineptitude of this company. They do NOT have the interests of their tenants OR their landlords in mind.I am a tenant.I have had three extremely negative interactions with this company:1) Their automatic online payment system somehow messed up and overcharged us FOUR months rent. (That is a lot of money if one's savings account is not high). They stated that they "could not" refund us the money. What?! You "can't" refund us. They held firm to their statement so I had to dispute the charge with my bank. (Fortunately USAA is awesome and helped work it out).2) Second, and of a more minor degree, they have consistently messed up work orders for fixing portions of the home and taken far too long to accomplish.3) See below. The following is an expert from an email that I sent the company. I will wait on their response:"Last night around 8:30 p.m., my wife and I noticed that our sewage was backing up into our home. Our bathtub and shower were overflowing with sewage water, so we did our best to prevent it from flooding outside of our bathroom which would have ruined the bedroom carpet, furniture, and walls causing several thousand dollars in damage to the landlord. We immediately called your emergency maintenance line at 8:32 p.m. I did not receive an answer so I left a message. Since we didn't hear anything I called again at 8:57 and again and again until 10:18 p.m.My complaint is the following: your emergency number was not answered by the lady responsible until 7:03 the following morning (this morning).I have a wife, a young son, and an infant girl. So, as you can imagine, not being able to utilize our dishwasher, shower, and sinks was annoying. However, not being able to utilize our toilets became problematic. The woman who returned my call the following morning stated that she would call a septic cleaning company and that they would be in touch with us. Three hours passed and we did not receive any calls. My wife had to take our children to a business in order to use their restrooms. I called back and the woman assured me that they had "placed" a work order. I inquired as to why the "emergency" number was not answered the previous night, and the woman stated that she doesn't answer the phone passed a certain time and, in fact, was asleep when I called. Since I am in the military, I am intimately familiar with how "emergency lines" (what we call Staff Duty) work. And the first and foremost rule, is that someone always answers the phone. So, I was rather perplexed and annoyed that a professional business such as yourself who claims to desire customer satisfaction would not have similar procedures in place. The woman further informed me that sewage backing up and overflowing into the home was not, in fact, an emergency. That statement, again, dumbfounded me. She said that the only emergencies are fire and flood. I would have thought that would have qualified under flooding, but I guess I was wrong. Nevertheless, as she herself stated, she was ASLEEP when I called, so how she was going to answer a "real" emergency call baffles me still. She further informed (chastised) me that I should have left a voicemail. Well, I did. She said that she did not receive it. So either she was lieing out of laziness or there is something wrong with your phone system. Either way, that problem ought to be fixed. We waited another two hours and still had not received a call from the septic cleaners. After both my wife and I called your business multiple times after 12:00 and sent emails to the woman responsible for the work order, my wife finally received a call from the septic cleaners who then called me and stated that he had "just" heard about our predicament. So either he was lieing or your manager was lieing to us when she said that they had called the company. I do not know what your business's procedures are for handling failed procedures or reprimanding employees, so I leave this information with you in the hopes that you better your company.
Emma Carpenter: Great
Mary Susan Megill: Susan Evans was on too of everything the whole time we were looking for a salon space! Everyone that I spoke with at this agency was very helpful and I would absolutely use Grant-Murray again.
