Fayetteville Endocrinology: what do users think?
Josh Trautman: Office is slightly run down looking. The staff is ok, slightly unwelcoming. I spent more time waiting than being seen or listened to, with the staff watching while speaking to the doctor. I received three separate lab results which showed lower testosterone levels than a single man in his 70's and was told it was either my girlfriend's fault for not enticing me or that I just don't get enough sunlight and vitamin D. I was also told anti-depressants are for quitters. Either way, I would strongly not recommend them for someone seeking low T therapy. Seek out a younger doctor who's less behind the times of treatment and actually listens to the patient.
Zieg Zieg: Staff is okay, not rude but not welcoming. The patient rooms are dirty and dingy. Last time I was there I spent 20 minutes staring at a dead bug on the table and a dead coach roach in the corner. Dr. Rizvi not that great of a doctor, I went to see him for having low testosterone that was affecting me very badly, I had tried to commit suicide earlier this year and had severe depression, sleep issues, cognitive issues and motivation to keep living. He recommended me doing labs to check my levels of testosterone, they came back 15 points below the bare minimum levels for a healthy male in his 70s! I am in my early 40s. His recommendations was to loose weight and stop taking my arthritis medication, and prescribed me legal meth for weightloss. I am literally just gave up on all hope of getting help with my issues. I am not fat! I went and had my BMI professionally measured and I only have 10% body fat. Long story short this office is horrible and Dr. Rizivi is not someone to see for endrocrology needs.
Danny Cunningham: Dr Rizvi is awesome...knows his stuff and cares for his patients...and I love his dry sense of humor...lol
Laura McNeill: I really like Dr. Rizvi. He is nice and straight forward. I've only had to wait a while in the waiting room once and that's because they were super busy. Dr. Rizvi is a great Dr and I don't understand the bad reviews I've seen either. Maybe he was a lil too straight forward with some people. Personally, I prefer my Drs to be straight forward with me. I give the office and Dr Rivzi 10 stars 🌟
D'nyelle Katz: I really don’t understand why this place has such bad reviews. Dr. Rizvi is very nice and listens to what you have to say. I’ve never had to wait a while to be seen except for the time I was late so that was my fault. He’s a good doctor. Not sure why people don’t like him 🤷🏻‍♀️
J W: No. Just no.
Sherry Williams: I love Dr.Rizvi, he straight to the point. I can see some not liking to hear the truth. But he is awesome. The staff is always very pleasant. Yes there are some longer wait times, but look at it this way if there was an issue and you need extra time wouldn't you be grateful it was given to you as well. Labs are done in the same building and he is also amazing! Been coming here for yrs. Thanks for all the great service!
Alex Boswell: Look, Dr. Rizvi is straight forward and to the point. He will listen and tell you what you need to do to get back on track. He doesn't fluff his words, he tells you like it is. The staff is ever changing but there are some staples that have remained the same. I appreciate him as well as his staff in getting me back on track. He might not use the baby talk/reassurance that you're wanting but he will give you the tools that YOU NEED to get YOU and your health back on track. Stop bashing the man and his staff because you're sensitive.
Rail: Very poor experience! He has no bedside manner and he was completely insensitive to me about my medical conditions, he tried to over talk me multiple times and tried to discredit the work of my current primary care physician. Please save yourself a trip and a copay!.. I wish I could give NO stars!!!!!!!
Brandy Morgan: I was honestly scared my first appointment due to the reviews this office had. I will say, my experience was complete opposite. Ive been a patient for almost a year now and Dr.Risvi has been wonderful to me. He listens and doesn’t rush you out like most Doctors do. Wait time is usually about 25-30mins. Ive never had a problem with getting my prescriptions filled on time or getting someone on the phone. If I have to leave a message they usually call me back within 24 hours. The staff is friendly. I dont have any complaints.
Tammy F: I love Dr Rizvi. He tells it like it is. I've been seeing him for years. He definitely cares @ his patients!!!
Jill Wolfenbarger: Horrible place to go. Would not recommend. Staff very unpleasant. Can't get medicine
lizsings4u2: Don't walk, run away. Staff is wonderful.
Remember Me Holt: Horrid wait times. Nice office staff. Hot and ugly waiting room. Doctor mummbles, cuts you off if you ask a question and has no bed side manner. Changing doctors and never going back
Ruth Heath: So grateful for Dr. Rizvi. Years of struggle with thyroid and symptoms. He's the only one that put the pieces together and got me on the right track. You may have to wait in his office but it's worth it! Life changing!
Eric Kinnee: Came for an appointment got here 20 minutes early, before the appointment time. 70 mins after appointment time still waiting to see the doctor. Would not recommend unless you like waiting around for the doctor.
Courtney Truscott: The only thing they have going for them is the staff is nice and polite. If you don’t mind waiting an hour to two hours to see the doctor than this place is perfect for you. I will literally be 10-15 minutes early for my appointment and still not be seen until 1 to 2 hours AFTER my scheduled appointment. It’s frustrating and very unprofessional!
Tanja Cook: Horrible experience.
Sharmaine Ward: HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE experience each time.
Wendy Brown: I have been trying to schedule an appointment for 2 weeks. I works very 7:30 to 4. How am I supposed to get anywhere with these people. No going to try anymore. Thank goodness I am not dying
John Weiss: Best

Dr. Brunilda Cordero, MD: what do users think?
No Way: Horrible. Walked in the room without introducing herself. First thing out of her mouth have you tried exercise and diet. Well DUH!!! Her labs look fine. Keep in mind the ones previously done by other doctors. her blood sugar HbgA1c was normal at her visit. There are other endocrine disorders lady! I went to Duke the endocrinologist immediately said yes something isn’t right AFTER an actual assessment with a normal blood sugar level. Wow. Don’t go to this women please. I have a medical background and knew she needed to complete more labs. But I left after that presentation. It was pointless she had in her mind what the issue was without knowing my history or my daughter’s. Be your own advocate.
Lisa Lang: Dr. Cordero is the doctor any parent would want for their child. She is kind, loving, and supportive of all her patients. She doesn't stop at "just" being a doctor, but she works throughout the year to have events for diabetic kids to have opportunities to be able to like just like any other kid. She heads up a diabetic camp every summer and "Diabetic Olympics" for the kids to participate and compete in a safe environment. She is a true blessing to the Cape Fear Valley.
Rocco Rock: Dr. Cordero is definitely a Godsend! We have known her for nearly 10 years now and we must say, she is one of the most compassionate and caring people that we know! She truly loves her work and more importantly she loves her patients! Best Pediatric Endocrinologist ever!! We love her, and would recommend her to everyone! with Tremendous Love! The CORZETTES'
Asia Harris: Dr Cordero is AmazingShe genuinely cares about her patients and works hard to help them with there problems.
Hazel Smith: the Dr’s has lack of communication skills. She is too stubborn to take the parent’s concern and opinion to child. Also refuse to get a simple blood test even tho insurance covers it. Don't waste your time...!!!
Sarah Morris: Refused to review my child’s growth chart from our pediatrician and refused to get basic blood work when our pediatrician referred us for those specific reasons.
Latasha Stabler: Best pediatric endocrinologist ever. Her care for the kids and knowledge is priceless! We love her!
Michelle Green: Dr. Cordero is always pleasant and helpful.
laura parker: We love dr Cordero she sincerely cares about my son!
Amanda Fair: The Dr has a nasty disposition and poor communication skills. This Clinic was not helpful and a waste of time and money

Cape Fear Valley Diabetes and Endocrine Center: what do users think?
Jacqueline Boyle: Dr. O is clearly over scheduled. I waited over 2 months for an appointment, and then when the appointment came I waited an entire hour to be seen and nothing. I finally had to leave because I have a life and no one has followed up with me yet to reschedule.
Larysa Lopez: Scheduling is going to be an issue. They canceled my new patient appt (it shouldn't even be scheduled until the Dr approves their schedule). The rescheduled date is almost a month later. This referral went in 3 months ago, so it'll be almost 5 months to get seen.
Kay Root: I was referred to Diabetes & Endocrinology Center and made the appointment in April for May the 16th.On May the 15th they called me to say that the doctor would not accept me as a patient because I take Amour Thyroid and that I would have to change my medication to another medication. When I asked why they could not explain to me why. I canceled the appointment. They should have told me this up front!
Skylar Thames: Went through hell to get a referral to be seen here after having a thyroid storm and ending up in the ER. Was discharged with an OVERACTIVE thyroid. 2 days later my thyroid was normal, which can only mean I have a fluctuating thyroid. Dr. Ohyeaso apparently reviews my chart and tells me to see my primary. Weird considering my primary referred me here in the first place. How are you a specialist when you are not even gonna run an antibody test??? Or answer ANY questions I have. Any specialist would know thyroid numbers are useless without an antibody test. He did not even give me a single chance to just see if something is really wrong, gave no answers. I am glad I will not be going here, sounds to me he does not want to do his job.I have had symptoms for hyperthyroidism for years now, YEARS. I’ve lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks, I can’t eat or drink what I want without getting palpitations consistently. This healthcare system is a joke, is it gonna take death for specialist to take us women serious? But let’s leave the specialist’s job up to a primary physician, makes all the sense.
Sandra Young: This office and Dr O are great!!! Always working to make sure you get your diabetes under control. He really cares about his patients as does his staff.
Jeffrey Lowe: My Dr. is Dr. Ohyeaso, and although he is smart and kind his office is absolutely horrible. My pharmacy has sent my authorization for my insulin multiple times and can’t get a reply from his office. I’ve called his office every day for almost 2 weeks and left multiple voicemails and was told by many workers “ he’ll call you back here shortly “. Meanwhile I’m almost out of insulin and don’t have $500 just to throw out.
Joanna Amstelveen: The office stated they contacted my provider for medical records but only sent a fax. They would not schedule my appointment without faxed medical records despite me having them in hand. Horrible customer service and lazy. This clinic does not have the patients best interest at heart. They simply do not care! Avoid this clinic!
MaybeONC3 Possibly: I had my half of my thyroid removed while in the army. A tumor popped up after I was mandated by the DOD to get the Pfizer vaccine (I did NOT need it, but orders are orders) The army surgeon neglected to set me up with an endocrinologist a month after my surgery and neglected to tell me I NEEDED to see one to make sure my hormones are in check. A little over a month after the surgery I began to notice obvious changes in my health. I had to fight MYSELF to be seen by an off post “specialist”. The army medical center did their test and even TOLD me that they can only test for certain hormones and that I needed to see an endocrinologist for other tests. FINALLY got a referral to Cape Fear to see “Nduche Onyeaso, MD” because I no longer trust the military doctors after forcing me to get vaccinated and then not even making sure I was taken care of. I am having OBVIOUS lack of hormones. But according to this “MD”, he didn’t see any reason (according to the tests the army medical center ran) for me to see him. Did not give me an opportunity to explain to him everything that’s going on with me, and then decided to cancel my appointment. I am now suffering from a swollen foot. Bruised toe nail. Loss of hair. Constant clammy hands. Not to mention I’ve lost 20 pounds in the past month due to lack of appetite and lack of sleep. Among MANY other things. All of which are symptoms of thyroid/ hormone issues. This guy is an absolute clown and would have gotten paid regardless if he could have helped me. DID NOT EVEN GIVE ME THE CHANCE TO SEE HIM after being referred BY MILITARY DOCTORS. Absolute waste of the title “Medical Doctor” because he obviously does NOT care about people. Hope he’s happy with himself should my health get worse. Maybe the next Doctor will be more sympathetic and actually do their damn job.
Kimberly: I was very pleased with Dr. Gurung. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating. I am glad she is my family members doctor.
Sam Sam: Dr. G is amazing and made me feel so comfortable. Addressed all of my concerns, listened, and explained things very well. So happy ot have found her. The front desk staff and male MA were also very friendly.
Beverly N Lopez Rodriguez: This place is terrible, Cape Fear has ridiculous protocols and policies even with the rise in covid-19 cases. They want to put my aunt as a no-show even though she is sick. What do I have to do, bring her in sick?UNHAPPY ABOUT EVERYTHING IN THIS PLACE, NOT PRO-PATIENT AT ALL!
Bettina Calcote: Yesterday I went with my brother to his first appointment where he saw Dr. Gurung. To say she is incredible is and understatement! She is so kind, considerate, compassionate! She listened to our every concern and addressed them all and started my brother on a road to getting much healthier. The entire staff, nurse, receptionist, pharmacist, all amazing! I cannot begin to tell you how very appreciative I am and so grateful!
Ciara Simpson: I have been seeing Dr.G for a little over a year now and I can see by far she is the best endocrinologist in Fayetteville, I have type one diabetes, addisons disease and hypothyroidism and she has been treating all 3, I honestly didn't even know about the addisons and hypothyroidism until she told me. I'd highly recommend dr.G.
Tim Copeland (mtneer92): Honestly, I went in with the expectation of horrible service... but that is not what happened. It was my first time there and I thought the person at the front desk was going to be bad, but she was not. I sat in the waiting room until a few minutes after my appointment start time, but it wasn't more than 10 minutes. I can deal with that. I met William who ran vitals, asked me some questions and did some tests and he was great. I then met Dr. Gurung and she was also fabulous. I honestly don't know how they ended up with 1 star comments. Normally I don't give 5 stars for anything because there truly aren't many 5 star places around. This place is one that is a 5 star place.
Olivia Saunders: If possible I’d seek care at another endocrinologist, at my initial appointment my concerns were dismissed by Dr.O. I tried to bring it to his attention how he made me feel & he got defensive & began bringing his faith into the conversation. He then proceed to tell me I was the one in need of treatment not him & I ruined his birthday by my “perception” of his care. I had an appointment with Duke by the end of the day. So proceed with caution.
Jonathan Krusinski: I'm a new diabetic, so I had no idea what to expect. The staff was very pleasant, efficient, and Dr. G was amazing.
Maggie Honeycutt: My husband went there for the 1st time and due to Covid I did not go. His diabetes was uncontrolled and was referred here. I filled out all questionnaires and did the echeckin on MyChart prior to his appointment. He walks in and they quickly informed him they don't do that and he would have to fill out all the questionnaires manually. (Strike 1) Once in the room, they check his A1C (12.3%) and glucose (425), they make him aware they were going to administer insulin. I am on speaker phone throughout this appointment. My husband doesn't like needles and refused the insulin. Nurse walks out and I'm talking to him concerning this and the knock on the door comes. Before my husband could put his mask on Dr. O walks in and immediately informs my husband that he needed to have a mask on. My husband explained to him that he has heart failure and difficulty breathing and Dr. O walks out. Meanwhile, mask is back on and the nurse walks back in and states the appointment is cancelled and that he would have to reschedule. My husband explained that he would keep it on, but the nurse states it's to late. (Strike 2) I proceeded to talk to the nurse begging that they don't refuse care, for his sugar is high and it was hard enough to get him there and with his heart failure it was difficult for him to walk and breath. If my husband left, I knew he wouldn't return. They let him walk out with his sugar high and out of control. (Strike 3). No care or compassion from the staff at all. This is the worst treatment received from a Medical Office.
Tenika Lashelle: My mother had appointment with Dr. O. recently he needs to learn how to talk to people when he is angry about someone else's blood sugar levels. His bed side matters is terrible when people are going through a lot. Miss. Hart
Rosemarie Harris: I have been a patient of Dr. Onyeaso for the past 18 months and I have found him to be very thorough and competent. I'm a 72 year old type 1 diabetic patient and Dr. Onyeaso changed my treatment regime which has led to better blood sugar levels. He has shown extreme care by calling me when I had abnormal test results. This has occurred before he saw his morning patients or even on the weekend before a holiday. While I am a patient of the doctor, it was discovered that I have a thyroid problem. He referred me for additional testing as well as to an equally competent surgeon. His office staff has always been pleasant and professional. If there were problems with the staff, they have been resolved.
Shy: Dr. Gurung & the medical assistant are both wonderful however, everytime I call & leave messages, they never return my phone calls. They claim they never received my referral after my physician's office sent it 2 weeks prior. My physician's office had to send the referral again. Now I am waiting on a referral from them to a different place have called to follow up, no response!! It's been 3 weeks.
wendy morasse: Went to Dr. Nduche Onyeaso, worst Dr. I have ever had. Went to discuss my thyroid issues. I am 70 years old and have had a low thyroid since I was in my 20s so I know what is needed for my issue. He would not listen to me. Compared me to a drug addict and said I wanted him to be my Drug Dealer.Needlesst say we were discussing a Thyroid medicine not an illegal drug.I got up and walked out. Never have been talk to like that by a Doctor before.
