Carolina Vision Center: what do users think?
Maria Jeva Roa: Excellent esp the Drs like Dr Freeman , Yvette, Woodcock , Jazz the scheduler and all the assistants . Thank you so much ! Ma Roa
Kana McDaniel: I had LASIK done here about five years ago. Just had an annual eye exam and the doctor said whoever did my eyes did a phenomenal job and I have eyes like a bird. I can still read the smallest line on the chart. That's about as high of praise as you can get.
Gabrielle Hammond: Dr. Woodcock & his staff did an amazing job for my sister who had lasik in December. My sister came from out of town for Christmas. He was able to fit her into his very tight schedule. His staff was absolutely amazing and nice. Highly recommend! Oh yeah .. and thanks Dr. Woodcock for giving her 20/20 vision because now she gets on my nerves even more!!
experimentalism: If you want to go to a good ophthalmologist clinic, DON'T go here. From the moment I stepped inside I had a bad feeling. There were a line of people waiting, one of the people in that line was an old woman standing with a crutch and a neck brace that was trying to get herself a wheelchair. The station of nurses or receptionists were all behind the desk just watching her struggle to get herself a wheelchair. My mother and I stepped in to her aid well before any of the women behind the desk came from behind to try and help her. They only sprung into action when my mom asked if any of them were going to help the poor woman that was clearly in need of assistance. The waiting room was fairly crowded and there were plenty of people hacking and coughing that weren't wearing masks. I understand we're no longer in a pandemic, but it was concerning hearing how many people were coughing, especially with how many elderly people were there. It was like watching farmers herding cattle with how hectic everything was. When I was called up to the desk for the first time to fill out paperwork, I didn't see anybody looking for me so I was just standing there confused until the woman called my name again and was able to figure out where I needed to go. She then handed me said paperwork that I had already signed online the day before my appointment for the purpose of having to avoid filling out the paperwork there to save time. This made me question the purpose of signing most of those forms online if they're for the patient's convenience, only to have to turn around and physically sign them in-office as well. Most of the staff seemed very unpleasant and rude, but the nurses that checked my vision both before and after my eyes were dilated were very kind. There were so many people walking around and were being told to wait because someone else was having their eyes checked because apparently there's only one room to appropriately do so. I'm sure I wasn't the only one in that clinic confused about what was going on or where to go because most of the staff seemingly have no direction. After finally waiting for my eyes to be dilated and do my consult, I was told I didn't qualify for LASIK. I completely understand that this was neither the doctor's or my fault, but I was visibly upset and Doctor Woodcock just did not seem to have any sympathy or even care. I've waited three years just to be told I have to wait longer and my vision is already absolutely terrible. Doctor Woodcock maybe examined me for five minutes, IF that. It felt very rushed and he seemed like he couldn't even really be bothered either. The nurses examining my eyesight were more thorough than Dr. Woodcock appeared to be. No suggestions for alternative procedures or questions about how my extremely poor vision affects me on a daily basis either. In fact, he told me I shouldn't let anyone convince me that I should get corrective surgery and that if he did do it, I'd be the man he cursed forever. It came across as very patronizing while I was already unsuccessfully fighting back tears and obviously upset. I've had the same prescription for three years and I'm so nearsighted that I can't even see clearly from a foot or even six inches away. I was absolutely devastated to find out I didn't qualify after only being examined for a few minutes, and the only person that was there to comfort me who wasn't my mom was Ms. Colon. She saw me crying and offered me kind words of reassurance since she knew I was hopeful to fix my vision. With the exception with Ms. Colon and the other nurse that checked my vision, the rest of the staff were unprofessional and seemed disingenuous. If you are looking for a pleasant, non-stressful ophthalmology clinic with kind and caring staff, this isn't the place for you. Most nurses are unhelpful and rude, and the reviews of Dr. Woodcock having almost nonexistent bedside manner are true. Ms. Colon and the other nurse that I unfortunately didn't get the name of were the only exceptions in the entire clinic that seemed to be genuinely nice and caring people.
Arisa Layce Mason: From the first call in I really felt that the woman I spoke with genuinely felt concern about my issues. I had severe swelling and redness, and the medication another facility gave me was not working. Every interaction with all the female employees went really great, they all seemed personable. Right up until I met the doctor.I am extremely disappointed in the professionalism of the doctor. I could literally hear my last name as well as other details of my situation outside the door because he spoke very loudly. When you know you will be in very close proximity with someone’s face, try to practice better oral hygiene. In addition, the doctor had a very arrogant demeanor, and spoke very fast. When I asked for him to repeat what he mentioned, he patronized me by talking slower and louder as if I did not speak English. There were a total of 4 other people in my room, and I was not asked if I felt comfortable with that. Again, friendliness was an issue. When I tried to explain that the eye contraption needed to be adjusted to accommodate my face, I was patronized again.I am a doctoral student, so the patronizing tone was ridiculous. In addition, I had to ask the same question over again about whether the issues with my eye were due to a viral or bacterial infection only to be told that the cultures would take to long to process. This information still would have been valuable to me so I could see whether I have an allergy or the issue was something else. After that whole debacle, I honestly want to give two stars, but at least the swelling and redness in my eye got better, and I saw improvement within hours. The doctor could use professional development courses.
111 Tre: Learn how to answer your phones and not have patients on hold for 15 minutes and then whom ever finally answers are rude.
strawberry jackson: Great friendly service
Just Jeff: My mom had a eye appointment she was seven minutes past the 15 minutes appointment. They told her she had to reschedule her appointment. I told the lady at the front desk that we had to find parking close enough to the door .
T Clark: Positive visit with physician and medical staff, especially Jessica, who was able to ask the “right” questions. Many times we patients aren’t sure if things are related, but having a knowledgeable assistant proves much worth to the medical group as well as the patient. On the other hand, my experience at checkout wasn’t as pleasant. Maybe pleasant isn’t the word, but (un)professional. The young lady checking me out was likely new and needed guidance from her nearest counterpart. This woman wasn’t interested in assisting her new co-worker nor me as the patient, as evidenced by her neglecting the questions asked by the new employee; mostly due to her personal cell phone use. Her cell phone was her priority, not her co-worker nor me.
Zachary Daugherty: From the time I scheduled my appointment to have a consultation for lasik, this office staff went above and beyond to reassure me and make me feel comfortable. Britney was super responsive and answered all questions I had while explaining the entire process. In my appointments, everyone in the building was always so welcoming. They’re by far the most personable medical staff I’ve experienced and multiple folks would make sure to drop in just to say hey. As cliche as it sounds, it felt like I was going to see family or close friends. Ask for Keely. She’s the best.As far as the procedure goes, I had relied on glasses/contact lenses for 20 years. When I opened my eyes a few hours after the procedure (listen to them when they tell you to take a nap), it was truly amazing. I still catch myself thinking that I need to go take out my contacts ant night out of habit. 2 weeks out and my vision is perfect. I recommend this office and procedure to anybody who might be on the fence. We are blessed to live so close to such a remarkable doctor and staff. Thank you, Dr Woodcock
T K: Scam, after paying $3500 was told they cant operate on the date they gave me, I would have to wait three months to get the surgery I already paid for
Rachel Smith: I was so hesitant at first about getting Lasik, but I am so HAPPY I did it. The main reason I did it was because of the girls at the office. They were so awesome and very informative through the entire process. If I had to do this process over again I would do it 100%! 10/10 recommend getting the surgery! 10/10 recommend getting it at Carolina Vision Center!!
Summer Jones: I love love love this place. My son was sent here at a very last minute call and they took him right back ended up doing emergency surgery the next morning and took great care of him. He was only 6 years old so he was very scared but they made him feel very comfortable! Great staff very clean and friendly can’t wait to go back for our follow up
Ronda H: I took my 97 year old grandma to this clinic and we had the best service! The receptionists and technicians are top notch! They are professional and knowledgeable with hearts of gold. Mobility is very difficult for my grandma but the whole team pitched in to help get her in position for the examinations and machines. We are very happy with the care we received today, thank you! Hopefully this review helps you make the right decision for your eye care.
Shelbs W. K.: I was very anxious going into the procedure for my Lasik eye surgery! But, between the nurses, other staff, and Dr. Woodcock talking me through every single detail and step of the way- made me able to get through this. Without that my nerves would have taken over. I listened to every detailed instruction they gave me and the next day I was blown away by how clear I could see! Especially after being in glasses since I was 8 years old. 10/10 recommend to get this procedure done, especially here.
Bethany Nelson: Fantastic staff all round. Everything was explained well and the procedure went very quickly. Bonus, I can see now. Thanks Team!
Sarah Johnson: The information concerning the procedure was explained thoroughly and in a manner that I could easily understand. Both Dr. Woodcock and Ms. Hurtado were very cordial and always answered any questions in a kind and attentive way. The staff is very knowledgeable and treats patients with respect. I am very satisfied with the procedure and my panoptix lenses. I can see well with no assistance needed fir near or distant vision. The staff at Highsmith Hospital were very reassuring throughout the time I was there.
Lib Smith: Checked with several who had used Dr. Woodcock and decided he was the best for my cataract surgery & new lens. Very glad I chose him to do a good job. Have had no problems.
Stella Young Stephenson: Efficient and professional eye care services. The staff was cordial and I went into the office right on time. I had a diabetic eye exam and felt they took time and care in examining my eyes. I liked the medical explanation that I received. Everything was explained in easy to understand language. Plan to return for my next eye appointment.
Melissa Godwin: There will be bad reviews on every place but remember most ppl that leave a review are usually the ones that only had a bad experience. Do not read them. I read every review for a couple different places and listened to word of mouth from friends of mine. I chose Dr Woodcock for several reasons. He was close by, his bad reviews were only about wait times and staff attitudes. Everyone I spoke with that had lasik loved the treatment. I went prepared for the worst customer service! Just being honest! I have had nothing but the best! I had practically no wait time!! I experienced no attitude from anyone there and you deal with a lot of ppl! Dr Woodcock was cracking jokes and after my procedure he stayed with me to make sure I was ok! I was a lil “extra” lol as a friend told me and I almost passed out. It HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM OR THE PROCEDURE- but he took the time to stay with me. He could have just left his girls there as they were all there too but he didn’t. That meant a lot! I went this morning 35 minutes early for my follow up, I was out in 30 min, before my actual appointment time! Everywhere will have bad days, don’t let the bad reviews leave a bad taste in your mouth! Make your own review! I can not tell you how much Dr Woodcock and his staff has changed my life!! Thank you all!
Brian McLure: Awesome experience! From the initial appointment to the follow-up after the procedure. Truly an A+ experience. Dr. Woodcock explained everything throughly before and during procedure and his staff is top of the line.

Village Eye Care: what do users think?
Jessica Clute: I had my very first appointment today. My children have been coming here for 2 years and I decided to switch providers and become a patient myself. It has been an absolute pleasure. The staff and Dr. Vaughan are kind, professional, prompt, thorough and put me at ease. I could not be happier. The facility is clean and inviting. I highly recommend for people of all ages.
Asia Bennett: First time patient, this was by far the best experience in any of the eye care facilities here in Fayetteville! Let’s start by the time I called their office to see if they accepted any walk-ins. Customer service over the phone was great! “Yes we do!” I arrive 20 minutes early it was actually their lunch time. No rush was necessary but they seen my son within 15 minutes. Went to the back selected glasses. Placed in a room. Met the Dr. she was definitely amazing. The staff knows their stuff. True example of professionals I mean you ask and they have an answer. Wether it be the one I would like they still provided an alternative that made me just as satisfied. I applaud their energy, their cleanliness, their courtesy, their respect, their tone, and their visible team work. It was just an overall wonderful last minute squeezed in appointment for an eye doctor anyone could ask for. If anyone in that office was having a bad day they did very well masking it. They made my son and I feel so welcomed and wanted. Explained everything that they were performing on him. I couldn’t have asked for a better annual visit.
KL Rensch: Highly recommend coming to Village Eye Care. My daughter has a very strong prescription and decided to go with contact lenses. The Doctors were patient and thorough in finding what contact power would best suit her. The staff made us feel welcomed and were able to answer any questions I had. Overall it was a great experience!
Mary DeVane: I have been a patient with Dr Vaughan and Dr Arcolano for many years. Each visit I am given a thorough eye exam. They are prompt and have little wait time. It is nice to see your results from their special tests they offer the same day. The staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They have a beautiful and large selection of eyeglass frames to choose from. Thankful for caring Doctors and staff. Highly recommend for you eye care.
Annie Curry: I'm very grateful for the professional care for my mom at Village Eye Care. She told me her right eye couldn't see well and this was a sudden change. Having just moved here we didn't have an eye doctor established. We had trouble finding any office that could see my mom quickly. However, Village Eye Care said they could get her in promptly since it was an emergency. It turned out she had bleeding in her retina and they were able to refer her to one of their retinal specialists the next day! The retinal specialist had to do surgery, but was able to save my mom's vison. We are so appreciate of the prompt and professional attention!
C Fore: This place is really great. The staff is friendly and kind, and on top of their business. I experienced 0 wait time. The doctor was kind and very knowledgable. He gave me the opportunity to take my script wherever I wanted and didn’t pressure me to buy from them. I highly recommend this place.
Mike Evans: Village Eye Care’s staff is wonderful. I recently had my annual eye exam and was impressed by their commitment to detail. They were not rushed to get me in and out and treated me like family. My family has been going there for years and never once have we been disappointed. Thank you.
Celeste Smith: I recently went to Village Eye Care and enjoyed my experience there during my appointment. The lobby was clean and organized. The front staff were so inviting and welcoming. The Dr. was very informative and listened to all of my questions and concerns. Overall I will definitely be going back to Village Eye Care for all my Eye Appointments.
Carree Williams: Great staff! Highly recommend
Amanda Andrus: I have needed professional eye care for 25+ years. After my last Dr. retired, I put off the search for a new office for months. I tend to be picky and particular. Dr Vaughn and his staff were extremely welcoming, responsive, patient, and affordable. The office is very clean and organized. I’m happy to have chosen Village Eye Care.
Tonya Chavis: So I haven't seen the provider yet as my appointment is next week but I wanted to go ahead and make my first review based off the scheduling experience. No long wait on the phone, very professional. The lady who answered and scheduled me was so helpful and polite. She answered all my questions and got me and my three children booked really quick as my old eye doctor cant get us in til October. Just by scheduling experience I give them a 5 and would give a higher one if I could. I'm hoping my appointment goes just as well..... I will be back to update my review after my visit.Update: Had my appointment and it went very well. Easy check in, no wait, got pulled back quickly and felt like the doctor and staff took my appointment serious and listened to my concerns. I did not feel rushed and was extremely satisfied with my appointment and experience. Highly recommend this practice!!
Natalia Garza: I broke my glasses and came here on a walk in appointment and the lady’s at the front desk were so sweet and helpful loved my experience here very professional and easy !!
Courtney & Kalei: My daughter and I had an amazing experience at Village Eyecare. Very sweet and helpful front desk staff, in fact, everyone we encountered during our visit was pleasant. This was my daughter’s first optometry appointment and they had a great way with her. The doctor went above and beyond as well and explained everything thoroughly. We will be back and will recommend to our friends.
Courtney Faiello: The entire staff is friendly and helpful, the optometrist was the best I’ve ever been to (have being seeing eye doctors for 33 years). Very knowledgeable, informative, and a fantastic demeanor as well. Highly recommend!
Jan Johnson: Village Eyecare has always treated us like family. Not only are they professional and knowledgeable, but the entire staff is courteous and kind and seeks to make each visit a pleasant experience. We are so fortunate to have this fine practice in our community!
Gabriel Clark: Great Eye care, the staff really care about their patients and make them feel comfortable.
Capri Sun: Terrible experience office staff very rude! We went in for a recurring problem with my daughters eyes. The doctor says my daughter is lying since he has never heard of it happening! Did not listen to what me and my daughter said at all. Would not recommend I am never going back.
Joe Joe: I was seen the same day. Front desk staff and techs were very nice and friendly. The doctor was very knowledgeable and spoke indepth with me. He listened and answered everything I needed addressed and put my concerns to rest. Lovely practice. Thank you for your help and seeing me so quickly.
Mikaela Raymond: I've had an awful eye doctor once before at a different practice so I think having Dr. Vaughan here was extra appreciated. Understanding and friendly!
Kelly Page: I’m all about customer service and a decent and not overly drawn-out experience. The office staff was so kind and helpful. Dr. Vaughan was professional, personable and helped me get in and out as quickly as possible. As a single mom and a nurse, I have limited free time. The experience was great and I’ll be returning as long as they’re open!
Bubba007 Smith: I have been going to Valley Eye Care since 1996 and Dr. Vaughn and his staff are fantastic. They take time in providing great service, explains the procedures and explains the results in "plain English". Highly recommended! Thanks for your years of outstanding service to me and my family.

Risk Optometric Associates, PA: what do users think?
elizabeth deane: Have been going to this clinic for years. Never any problems. I just called for an appointment and was asked if I have health insurance. No. I still use the same vision insurance. But you don't have health insurance. No. Why are you asking this. Oh, we don't take vision insurance anymore. Only health insurance. WHAT kind of office is this now? I did not make an appointment and I am very disappointed.
Crystle Mcdowell: The office had some of the best customer service. From the front desk greating you and offering assistance. To the secretary and technician. The provider was thorough. I had to be referred out and they set it up fast. I appreciate all of the assistance
Ariana Cason: My experience was a great experience. The doctor, the tech and associates were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor helped me with all of my recent eye problems and recommended me for some contacts that were way better than what I had. She really cared about the health of my eyes.P.S. I've been going there for 20 years! Means that they are doing something right!!
Ruth Grimm: Went to Dr Risk for years. Best eye Dr I have had. Unfortunately, I have moved, but I highly recommend him or any of his associates.Dr Risk, please move to Memphis!Going to Southern College of Optometry now. You aren't here, so this is the next best thing!Thank you Dr. Risk!
Momma Bear: Very friendly and patient towards my special needs son.
Carmen Usategui: I went there back in February. They put me in a bright room with FULLY DILATED eyes! It took forever without any explanations for the being behind. I will NEVER GO BACK and I WILL NEVER recommend them to anyone!
ImPerfect Lii: Loved it. Quick and friendly service. And my glasses arrived earlier than expected.
Kev B: I was required to wait over a week for the second appointment - around their convenience - because that was the next day the optometrist was working. The contacts I was given weren't labeled for right or left eye so another visit was needed just for that.I wasn't told to wear contacts for the second appointment and that was somehow rationalized to be my mistake instead of theirs.
Rusty Shackleford: This was my third visit to Dr. Risk's office. I have now been treated by Dr. Risk and Dr. Chavis and both are very professional and extremely competent. Their diagnosis and exams are top notch but having your pupils dialated is a bummer. I will visit Dr. Risk again next year. 100 % satisfied.
mary olalia: Great staff! They were all so helpful especially trying to figure out my insurance since I was new to it.
Herman Gentry: Risk Optometric took me as a work in new patient due to an eye emergency. The staff welcomed me, made me feel important and like I was the only patient. The Dr. was professional, informative and I felt like he had my best interest in mind. I was treated, they followed up with a phone call and email. Thanks for the great service and professional care. Herman Gentry
Carolyn Petersen: The doctor and technician were great. I however was asked to pay $176 dollars for my visit and was told they were going to bill my insurance for $189 even though they knew my insurance would only pay $100. This means the office will receive $276 dollars for my contact exam. The male receptionist informed me that the patient off the street without insurance would be asked to pay $169 versus my $276 because that is how my insurance is handled. When asked to explain to me the difference his reply was that I received a comprehensive exam where as the non-insured would receive an intermediate exam. I did not receive any special services at my appointment and can not imagine what the extra $100 plus could have been for. He also advised me that he was better at social studies or history, math was not his strong point. I just feel as if they over charged me for the sake of over billing my insurance company and me the customer. I was a repeat customer and surely did not deserve being charged extra. I do not believe their should be one charge for individuals who are insured and another for those that are not. I would recommend the doctor again and again but, I would advise that you talk financial payment with them prior to being seen and make sure you are not being over charged. I would also recommend that if they give you the same answers they gave me that you not share your insurance information with them because you will suffer financially for being covered.
Amanda Runion: I just had my very first appointment at Risk and was very pleased with the timeliness of the appointment. I also found the doctor to be very nice and made me fell extremely comfortable with everything! I would definitely recommend.
Carolyn Gibbons: I have been going to Risk Optometric for MANY years - I think when Dr. Risk first started. I love the service I get, and the doctors are some of the best eye doctors I have ever seen (been going to eye doctors since 1945). Always fast service.
Angela E: Great friendly Staff... makes the visit well worth the wait. (Not that the wait was long)Very nice receptionist... I'm sure she is more then just that; for lack of an appropriate title. She was great. THank You!!!Grateful Saturday Walk-in 9-28-13
Kenya Davis: I love this place. I take both of my children there. I have been wearing glasses for over 30 years. They take precious care of my children and I. My little one just loves going to the eye doctor. This is an awesome place for price and if you have more than family member/ dependent with vision issues and may need glasses.
Brenda Colbert: I found Risk Optometric to be the best facility I have visited thus far. The staff was so kind and pleasant and made the whole experience to be a grand one. Waiting time before being called back was minimal and the entire process from start to finish was flawless and most enjoyable.I would highly recommend Risk Optometric for all your eye care needs from the most basic to the most complex.

Vision Center inside Walmart: what do users think?
Andrea Malloy: Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful Staff
Rostad Vickers: Terrible customer service.
Willem Gregg: Great staff and amazing service
Dave Babbitt: Professional, conscientious, fairly quick
Maria ibanez: Since my experience with the doctor was Great, I thought i would bring my daughter for her eye exam too. Long story short got a phone call reminding regarding the appointment and asking the Insurance Information I did apologized for not calling in advance because as a human I forgot, so I called back to give the information and let that person know that the primary is CIGNA and Secondary TRICARE, she ask me what kind of CIGNA I said I'm not sure , but you can ask the payer. She insist to bring the copy of the Insurance, without it she will have to cancel the appointment . I replied, the sponsor is in South Korea, and the form has a lot of Personal Information that I can not share to anybody.I told her It's her job to ask and verify, she said no It's not! my job is to schedule patient, and you don't have to come here. I hang up heatedly , I called back and cancel my Daughters appointment. You who don't know what work ethics is, your job is to accommodate the patient it was a very simple thing , You're right we don't have to come to that clinic. THERE ARE MORE CLINIC IN TOWN JUST SO YOU KNOW
Shonna Tate: Great experience. My daughter and myself had appointments on the same day but hours apart. They took me early so I didn't have to wait. The young lady with the dreads was so sweet and let my daughter help her get my eye measurements. She was great. 😀 Will definitely return.
