M Waddell: I am grateful for the exceptional care and support that Cape Fear Valley Hospice and Palliative Care provided to my loved one during a difficult time. From the very first contact with their team, I was impressed by their professionalism and dedication to ensuring the best possible experience for both the patient and the family. The intake process at Cape Fear Valley Hospice and Palliative Care was seamless and efficient. The staff was understanding and empathetic, guiding us through the necessary paperwork and answering all of our questions with patience and clarity. They took the time to listen to our concerns and preferences, ensuring that the care plan was tailored to meet our specific needs.Once the in-home care began, I was consistently impressed by the competence and compassion displayed by the nurses and aides. They demonstrated a high level of expertise in managing the physical and emotional needs of my loved one, providing comfort and support every step of the way. Their attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment was truly remarkable. One aspect of Cape Fear Valley Hospice and Palliative Care that stood out to me was the presence of a chaplain on their team. This spiritual support provided a source of solace and comfort for both my loved one and our family. The chaplain's compassionate presence and ability to provide spiritual guidance and emotional support was truly invaluable during this challenging time.Furthermore, the phone receptionist was consistently courteous and helpful, always providing prompt and efficient assistance whenever I needed to reach out with a question or concern. Lovely Monroe: Mother passed away on May 29th and I can truly say Shannon,Janet,Maria, and Sharon ... the entire team was awesome..it's so many good things I can say..I Thank God for all of you...I speak blessings after blessings for each of you..Thank you all so much
E.W. Robinson: Numerous promises but relatively no follow thru. Telephoned nurse on call at 3 a.m. Upon call back she was neither informative or comforting; more blase` than anything (reminiscent of take two aspirins and call me tomorrow.)The next afternoon it was apparent my wife was passing. I called the number and was told I would receive a call back. Twenty minutes later I telephoned the management number and was assured of a call back, which came approximately ten minutes later. The nurse informed me she was attending another 'client' and would be over as soon as she could. While waiting, my wife passed and more than 30 minutes afterwards, the nurse arrived. She pronounced my wife, filled out a piece of paper and directed I give it to the funeral director upon his arrival. I telephoned the funeral director (services pre-arranged) and was informed either law enforcement or the hospice agency must contact them. Contacted hospice and the funeral director was contacted. The promises of "being with you and your family when you need us" was unfulfilled more than once. "Our experience with funeral arrangements will help when the time comes." - NOT. The only reason I gave one star (other than no option for no stars) was the professionalism and honesty of the admitting RN. When looking for hospice care, please inquire as to the agencies that are for profit and those non-profit. The services offer differ significantly in regards to equipment and materials.
Jeannie Ruffin: The Hospice nurses, social worker, the Chaplin John were all fantastic in helping me take care of my husband In his last weeks and keep him out of a nursing home as he wanted. God Bless you all!! The nurse sat with us until the funeral home came and comforted me and my son!
Melissa Everitt: You guys are fabulous!!! I can’t express enough how much y’all helped my mama. Unfortunately, mama was in a facility at the time of her passing. However, Cape Fear Vqlley hospice always made sure mama had everything she needed. They were my rock during this terrible time. Without the good Lord and the people from hospice I could not had been so strong for my mama and family. Thank you! Thank you! Also they have continue to touch base since mama passed .Phone calls from them has been a blessing. Continue doing your great work, families out there need a great team like you guys have. Cant say and thank you enough!
Julie Bauer: As the former Executive Director of this office, I can share that this staff is the most compassionate group of professionals I’ve ever had the pleasure of working alongside. Ranked three years in a row as a top 5% agency in the NATION through quality feedback from SHP. Would trust them with any of my family or friends care!!!

Community Home Care & Hospice - Fayetteville: what do users think?
Tilina Whetsell: I was very please with the care that was taken of my husband in his last months of life. We had a great aid Claudia Bullard you couldn't ask for a better person to be by my side in a very difficult time. Also our RN (Adam) durning this time was a great guy who took very good care of my husband and show genuine care and respect for him. Also I had a RN (Melody Davis) that last few days of my husband life that was Great she was so kind and compassionate, she stayed with me after my husband passed into the wee hours of the morning because she didn't want to leave me alone..Thank you Community Hospice for being here.

I WILL NEVER FORGET THE DAY SHE TOLD ME MY MOM WAS PASSING SHE COULDNT STOP CRYING IT WAS LIKE SHE LOST SOMEONE SPECIAL TO HER . APRIL IS THE BEST HOSPICE NURSE IN NORTH CAROLINA.. NOW LETS TALK ABOUT MS DENISE OMG SHE STOOD RIGHT THERE UNTIL THE END MS DENISE CRIED LIKE A BABY I FELT HER PAIN AS WELL HER AND MY MOM HAD GOTTEN SO CLOSE MY MOM DEATH REALLY BROKE MS DENISE HEART . IM SO GREATFUL FOR COMMUNITY HOSPICE I WILL NEVER FORGET APRIL & MS DENISE I ALSO DONT WANT TO LEAVE OUT THE SOCIAL WORKER MS JAMIE SHE CAME BY THE DAY OF MY MOM PASSING AND SHE SUNG A BEAUTIFUL SONG TOO MY MOM . I APPRECIATE EVERYTHING THAT COMMUNITY HOSPICE HAS DONE FOR MY FAMILY
Scott Ennis: This hospice office is filled with compassionate and experienced staff. They provide excellent care. Extremely impressed with the services and care that they offer to our Veterans.
Laurie Soto: My mother was a patient with metastatic on the bones, these are her words. On January 2018, I decided to stop all kind of cancer treatments because they were too painful and I couldn't deal with the nasty side effects. After I stopped all the treatments, I became very sick at the point that I had to be admitted to the hospital with chronic pain on my bones and some other areas of my body.I chose to join them because for that time, according to the doctors and according to my medical condition, my life expectancy was about 6 months of life remaining. The hospital bed they brought to my home, had a strong and nasty cigarrette smell. That was horrible. Imagine , I was having chemotherapy, using narcotic for pain, and having to breathe that disgusting smell. That caused me to throw up a couple of times.I asked them to pick it up and it took a week for them to come.I had to spend a week with that bed in the middle of my living room with the strong smell of ciggarettes. My oncologist prescribed me some medicines and he called Hospice asking them if they will pay for medicines. Hospice said yes.I did not received the medicines that day because Hospice did not send any kind of prescription to the pharmacy. Next day, in the morning, we called Hospice again, they said they were working on that, that they will call me back.It was 4:45 pm that day and Hospice haven't send the information to the pharmacy yet. Next day, (third day) I called Hospice again, they said, that it was ok for me to go to pick the medicine that they were available already at the pharmacy. My daughter went again to the pharmacy, and a person from the pharmacy told her again that the system didn't receive any information from Hospice. Finally, I got the medicines 3 days later after they were prescribed to me. I spent 3 days with cronic pain without my medicines.Next day, I asked Hospice to prescribe me some narcotic pain patch. They told me, "go to walmart or to the dollar tree stores, they have patches for one dollar each".I felt insulted from them. They treated me as a cheap person who didn't wanted to pay one dollar for a pain patch. I really needed something stronger than regular pain patches for my chronic condition. They shouldn't answer me in that disrespecting way. They supposed to have compasion and consideration with patients who are in pain.Everytime the nurse came to visit me at my home she was coughing and without a mask. One day, she tried to get some blood work from me to check my INR levels. After 4 pinches with the neddle I had to tell her to stop pinching me because she never found my vein. In my opinion, she did not have enough experience drawing blood because I never had that problem on hospitals before. Everybody has told me I have good veins and I am the person who takes a lot of water. I wasn't dehydrated either. So she should have foud my veins. They rarely provides you responses to you back. You have to do more than 2 or 3 calls to them in order for you to receive an asnwer or a service from them. All the time they say "we are working on that", "we will call you back".Another thing is, when nurses return your calls back, they uses private call numbers to avoid you to call them directly. After I closed the case with them, they said that it would take up to 3 business days to close it. I had to wait one week without medical insurance. Because I couldn't use my medicaid back until Hospice had the case completly closed.I was without Hospice and without medicaid on that week. And the worst part, without money. This organization only cares about making money. They don't care about the pain and the suffering of thier patients. They use a lot of courtesy and a lot of smiles at the beginning because they just want you to sign an agreement with them. Once you sign all the papers they require you to sign, then your nightmare begins.I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. I give a star because I had to in order to submit my review.

PruittHealth Hospice (Fayetteville): what do users think?
Lilith Hurst: I work with the best team from our Administrator, Director of Nursing, Office Staff, Chaplains, Social Workers and our Nurses and CNA’s. You will not get better service elsewhere. From the moment we first make contact with our patients and families we treat everyone with the utmost respect and provide loving compassionate care. Our philosophy is we take care of our patients like they are our family. We allow our patients the comfort and dignity they deserve. Please call us to find out how we can help you or your loved one today!
Karen Thompson: Though my mom was only on hospice for a very short while, they were the Best. From the admission to the last days they were there everyday. So compassionate and caring ❤
Michelle Williams: There are not enough stars or words to express how amazing these people are. From the moment we realized that Dad was leaving the hospital (and they reached out to us), to when he left they were nothing but helpful, loving, and kind. They treated my Dad with respect and loved him like we did. When we had a situation we didn't understand we called and they came immediately. Loosing a parent is difficult, it is so confusing, but they took us by our hand and explained everything and loved us too. Thank you and God bless each of you.
Ruby Red: As devastating it is to know you are going to lose a love one. For a starter, the workers who came out to visit were fine. Although the head people in the company, they do not care. My mother had a lung disease, the hospital reffered them to us. They accepted her as a patient knowing her condition & o2 stat. Once the accepted her they would no longer suppy her amount of o2 she usually had. I called spoke to someone in the office, she mentioned she would call me back after the morning meeting, nothing. I called back, finally I still had to wait for a call in return. One of the head lady's told me they could not suppy her with her normal o2, I informed her she clearly didn't care. I asked what to do once she was given out, she mentioned there's nothing to do. I had to take her off of hospice because of that. My point is once they accepted her they already received all if there compensation, & no more did they care.

Healthkeeperz: what do users think?
Jamesena Monroe: After leaving the hospital in October my mom had Healthkeeperz serve. The staff was very helpful and professional. A very nice group of ladies. They even came to my mom's funeral, and the Chaplain gave the prayer at the funeral. Thank you, for helping us take care of my mom. May the Lord Bless and keep you.🙏🏾❤🙏🏾❤
Momma Bear: My child is only 9 years old and has a bed sore with MRSA. Regardless, multiple nurses such as Shawanda and Jessica refuse to show up even though I have informed the company I do not have a phone. Mrs. Lyndell however understands that sometimes patients are not able to answer the phone and still shows up to the house because we are always here after 12 pm which I have also informed the company. They are completely unprofessional and do not care about the patients. Jessica also was in a rush to leave work she messed up my child's wound vac which left him with raw skin and he couldn't have it on for days afterwards. Unfortunately, HealthKeeperz is the only home health agency to see pediatrics in the Fayetteville area. Such a shame. Would not recommend for anyone.
Kimberly Martinez: This is the MOST UNORGANIZED COMPANY EVER. They do NOT have professional communication, scheduling or organization skills. They expect the patients to drop everything & see them at THEIR convenience, NOT the patient's. They can't even get answering the phone down right. I feel sorry for the GOOD employees this company has and there are some that I have met. I have used this company on 3 different occasions & my opinion has not changed, in fact, it has gotten worse. I will not recommend this company to anyone.. The sad thing is, my parents are the ones that are suffering, but I will go to another source.
