Bynum Woodworking: what do users think?
Matthew Quigley: Had a rotten cabinet from a sink leak. They matched it perfectly and delivered it to me at my house. Great quality
Teresa Byndon: The worst place ever to do business. I called over a month ahead of time to have cupcake stands made for my wedding. I called every week to be assured they would be ready but instead the day before I get “I can’t do it”. Who does business like this? Bad business with no regards of how they messed up my special day!
Charles Ridgen: Awesome experience, great cabinet maker. I have used Bynum on several different occasions.

Custom Craft Cabinet Shop: what do users think?
Regina zumba Krol: They refuse to fix what they did not do properly. Paint was overly thinned so cabinets buckle when wet. Always draping towels everywhere to do dishes. Won't return calls. Avoiding my calls and won't fix the cabinets. Charged 80k for cabinets but they are not functional. Most door hinges have pulled out of the holes and are sagging. Very dissapointing with their lack of help with making my cabinets right. They have 80k, we are out 80k. An employee of thieves told us we will need new cabinets in ten years because of the quality given. Really?!? So sad they are refusing to help me. Try washing dishes with towels draped all over your counters everyday and guests wondering why you cook and do dishes with towels everywhere. The cabinets buckle and crack if water gets on it. What a headache. Not good business. Especially if they avoid my calls with their caller ID.

Ballash Woodworks: what do users think?
Marco Pelaez: Have commissioned several projects and the quality for the price make it an easy decision about where to go for everything from custom tables to unique military gifts. From start to finish, Kurt and Erin make the process enjoyable. Great business that gives back to the local, as well as veteran community!
Maxine Crockett: I had a great time with my grandson working with power tools and him learning how to make something for a piece of wood that became something that he can enjoy.
Andrew Tapscott: My Wife and I were gifted a Valentine's Day "Couples Cutting Board" experience from our Daughter. Skeptical at first, but so glad we gave it a try. Kurt and the entire Team at Ballash Woodworks were great...professional, patient, friendly, and very knowledgeable!!! Well worth the time, and everyone's board turned out exquisite and unique.
DeAnn Johnson: Hidden gem. Great selection of good quality wood. Fast and friendly. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Military discount. I highly suggest partaking in a wood or leather workshop...or both.
Bill Fonseth: This business supports the community and veterans !!! He is willing to encourage your development of new skills.
Christopher Godwin: Ballash sold me the most beautiful piece of wood I've ever seen at a great price. They planed it, oiled it and hung it for my mantle on the exact day they said they would. Perfect experiece.
G: In November 2021, I sent Kurt Ballash two photos of a cabinet I wanted. Both photos showed a door on the cabinet. He asked for the dimensions, then sent me an estimate of the cost to build the cabinet and an invoice billing me for 50% of the cost. I went into the office and paid him the cash. During the 5 months it took him to build it, I received a few emails stating that they were sorry for the delay but they had been sick. I never once received a phone call or an email from anyone at this business asking me if I wanted a door (as pictured) on my cabinet. When I went in to pick up the cabinet, there wasn't a door on it. I spoke to Erin and said "it's supposed to have a door". She replied "well, I guess we need to put a door on it. When I called you, you said you didn't want a door". As I said, I have not spoken to anyone from this business about a door on this cabinet. After leaving, I received and email saying I would need to pay an additional $250 to have a door put on it. I called the office ( spoke to Erin) and told her this was not what we agreed on. I had received an estimate for a cabinet with a door and was not paying any additional charges. She and I had an escalated exchange and she hung up on me. I asked for Kurt to call me to talk about the issue. He emailed me saying he couldn't hear phone conversations but that he did hear my end of mine and Erin's phone call. So, I asked three times, by email, was he going to honor our contract and he declined three times. That's when I posted about his business on FB and filed a complaint with BBB. I feel as though Ballash Woodworks has been dishonest in our agreement. They also did not honor our contract.
Scott Pelletier: Totally impressed with Ballash Woodworks, they have exceeded all of my expectations. Kurt is an amazing craftsman and Erin was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I’m amazed at how they take an idea and make it a reality. They completed one project for me and are currently working on another. I will definitely be back for more, as soon as I think of something else I need built!
Karen Davis: Ballash Woodworks made me a custom live edge table and a stove top board. Both are beautiful and everyone that comes to my house comments on how pretty and unique they are. Not only is Ballash and the owner talented and professional, Mr Ballash has been generous over the last two year by donating to a fundraiser I have in Ohio. He has been a sponsor for two years as well as made and donated two beautiful cutting boards for the event. I'm proud to be a customer of Ballash Woodworks.
Jeanie Hood: Last year Ballash Woodworks set up at an event we hosted. It was my first chance to actually see his work. If there were a 10 rating, I'd give him a 12! Great people and absolutely amazing professionals.
William Hutson: I wish I could give more stars. I have know Kurt for quite some time and I can honestly say there is nobody better at wood stuff. His craftsmanship is generations of hard work and skill, passed on from one to another. He's made stuff for me and I couldn't be happier with the quality. He is is a true skilled craftsman.
beardedbarber 2015: Outstanding service! Love this place and the people there! Can't say enough about these folks. Veteran owned!! Custom to your liking and preference. They also carry beard oils, wash and balm for the everyday working man. Pick up some Cardinal beard Co. Products if you're in the area.
Robert Reed: This is the best woodworking business in the Fayetteville, NC are. I always look for veteran-owned businesses, and I must say Kurt and his staff are one a kind. Very easy to deal with. I would recommend Ballash Woodworks to anyone from the DC Metro area all the way down to Florida.
Ian Simonton: Very professional and trustworthy company! Amazing craftsmanship. The only place I will go to for any customer woodwork! A+++
Fnu Lnu: I purchased a cutting board from Kurt for a family member. The whole team was nothing but kind and professional while I was there. They answered every question I could think of and even some I hadn’t thought of. Product was perfect and is lasting wonderfully.
jeremy moore: Great customer service, good selection of lumber and burls in stock. In the past when I need quality lumber for special projects I had to drive to Raleigh or Charlotte to find it. When my daughter requested I make a urn for a friend of hers I tried Ballash woodworks to see what they had in. The employee on site was very helpful and professional. They had good selection of lumber at fair prices and a military discount to boot. They are big on supporting veterans. I left very pleased with some beautiful figured maple and some walnut. While in the shop I saw several projects going. As a wood worker myself I was impressed the the quality of work leaving the shop. The attached photos is just to show the lumber I purchased finished with Danish oil.
Mike Bradford: I have never met a more professional group or business owner before. Every time I have a woodworking project I go here and 10/10 would recommend everyone do the same. The level of care and importance of guidance above sales is outstanding. I was blessed to have Kurt and his crew mentor me with the design and creation of my daughters urn and could not be happier with the outcome. Because of kurt and his crew my daughter has the most beautiful resting place I could have ever dreamed imaginable.
Michael Reid: I can't suggest checking out Ballash Woodworks enough. You're not just purchasing an item for your home, but are making an investment on heirloom quality products, potentially with a good back story.I use Ballash Woodworks cutting board and coasters on a daily basis. I also have made good use of the bourbon glass and cigar holder. The one item that takes the most abuse is my coffee table, that Ballash Woodworks made from reclaimed barn wood.I strongly suggest checking out Ballash Woodworks for any of your carpentry needs or ideas. You will receive a hand made, made in the USA product from a business owned and operated by veterans. I can't think of a better place to purchase items from.Keep up the great work Ballash Woodworks.
Paul Crouse: I first me Kurt Ballash on Facebook while I was living in Ohio and was astounded by his craftsmanship and artistry. When I moved to NC, I didn't even realize that his shop was in Fayetteville until almost 6 months after the wife and I moved here but when I did, I had to immediately make a trip. When I arrived, the first thing that hit me was how amazing this cat and his crew really were. The amount of projects he had going was phenomenal and every one of them had so much attention to detail. On top of all this he also explained to me that he taught classes for the Wounded Warrior program as well as other charities. Truly an amazing person, running an amazing business.
Jack Stottlemire: Kurt built a custom workbench for our business. It is massively sturdy and will last a lifetime. It was not built out of 2x4s and plywood but of cut and planed Yellow Pine. Every point fits tight and firm, we just love it! Veteran owned and operated too!
Isaiah Noftz: Kurt, Erin, and crew were amazing. From the time I stopped in to ask questions, until final delivery of the products, they were up front the entire time. If there was any question, they called, and went the extra mile to ensure I would be satisfied. Even when I was unsure of what I wanted, their professionalism and candor was all that was needed to obtain the information needed to create and finalize the product. I will be going back for sure.
