Lidiya Dukhovich: Excellent experience! I had two sessions to remove my wisdom teeth (two at a time) and had a great experience both times.Dr. T is a seasoned professional. He is highly accredited and was a Colonel in the Air Force serving in various countries (from what I was able to observe on his walls) - so you can imagine the precision and experience you are receiving on your visit. He is focused, to the point, and will make sure you are comfortable throughout the procedure - which is exactly what you want from a surgeon.His staff is absolutely the sweetest. I have extreme anxiety when it comes to medical procedures and they made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my visits. The procedure was quick and Dr. T always made sure that it was painless and as minimally invasive as possible.The office called me the day after the procedure to check up on how I was feeling and inquire if I had any questions.I am a newcomer to the area from NYC and am really grateful to have been referred to this office. 🙏
Tara Young: Dr T and his staff were “great” he explained everything with clarity and empathy. He even saved me a lot of money. Another dentist suggested I would need heavy sedation and a more intense procedure but Dr T said it most likely would not be necessary and that he would be able to perform the procedure with just a local anesthetic. And he did just that with very little uncomfortableness and pain. His assistant was excellent. I would definitely use again and recommend
Gorrilla Zoe: Had an extraction removal by the nerve which went great no pain after very professional followed up by another visit within 2weeks for a wisdom tooth removal and two top back teeth in less than 30min and was pain free again and back at work the next day Dr.T and the entire staff throughout the building are the TRUTH highly recommended
leocoolfire the best: I had my wisdom teeth removed here at cape fear oral. Everyone in the staff from the front desk to the assistants to the surgeon were super helpful and nice. I ended up having dry socket to no fault of theirs but they treated me wonderfully is not only managing that dry socket but also being flexible with allowing me to come in to get checked and treated. To top it all off it was super easy and only needed to make a call. 10/1p would recommend

Lindsey Divelbiss: Had my wisdom teeth (all 4 done) - very reasonably priced, everyone acted professional and were responsive to any questions or concerns I had.Some of the reviews I see mention bedside manner being an issue, but I don't see it. The primary dentist is an older gentleman that is a bit quiet, but he was still very courteous and gentle with me. The dental assistant, front staff, all of them were friendly, they even were able to get me in earlier than expected due to another patient canceling their procedure.I appreciate the staff for helping take care of some painful teeth.
Tess Shannon: Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had with tooth extraction..I’ve had quite a few extractions done in my home country and in the US as well and I was a bit nervous having to have my wisdom tooth taken out. When I got there the staff and the Doctor were so kind and they took really good care of me. The extraction process was by far the least painful and easy process that I’ve ever experienced. Thanks to the great job done.
Dianna Simmons: Dr Larry Tabatchnick is not only an amazing Dr. He is a very caring man my 12 year old daughter went to him once for a procedure having a chain attached to her tooth well that chain and a piece of her tooth got ripped out (we thought) we called her regular dentist her orthodontist nobody would pick up or return my call the only person that awnsered the phone was Dr.Larry Tabatchnick not only did he awnser the phone he came in to look at my child's mouth at 7pm on a Saturday he was able to find out that my daughter's tooth was still intact... he will never know how much it means to me that he cares enough about his patience to come in on a Saturday when nothing was wrong but a scared mom....

Lois Barber: My grandson had to have a tooth removed that was deeply impacted. We had been to one oral surgeon who told us it would be a very difficult to get the tooth out and that we should just leave it alone. It may or may not cause him problems later. Our orthodontist disagreed and sent us to Dr. Tabatchnick. My grandson was scared to death at this point but Dr. Tabatchnick was very kind and reassuring. He talked us through the procedure beforehand so that we were very informed. He was very reassuring and made my grandson feel at ease. He was able to remove the tooth with no problem. My grandson recovered well and now we don't have to worry about that tooth causing problems later. I highly recommend Dr. Tabatchnick. If ok had to have any type of oral surgery I would definitely go to him.
Benjamin Irwin: I went in to get one wisdom tooth removed and the staff was extremely professionally with great social awareness. They fully explained what was going to be being done and offered realistic advice. Everything was done in a timely manner and even though it was my first time seeing them, they treated me as if I were there best patient. 10 out of 10 would go again.
ruth pope: Everything was wonderful! The attention to my safety and well being that was shown to me in order to protect me and other patients from Covid was remarkable. I was treated attentively and respectfully by all of the staff and by Dr. Tabatchnick. I had to have my tooth extracted due to bone loss. Dr. Tabatchnick made sure I was comfortable and pain free. He had the tooth out in just a few seconds and I did not feel a thing. This is a great office and a wonderful group of professionals. If you or your family need any oral surgery I would highly recommend Dr. Tabatchnick and his team at Cape Fear Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Fale Mcneil: Visited last Thursday. The Dental Surgeon was great but the staff was unprofessional and ill prepared. The nurse that took me back asked me why I was there. After I told her why which involves braces, she asked me why would I want braces? Like wth does anyone want braces? That was just a dumb question. She asked what my nationality was, I wanted to say American since I am but I know she wanted to know my ethnicity. After I told her, she kept wanting me to repeat myself because she couldn't pronounce it. Very unprofessional. Just glad the Dental Surgeon was great.

Aamber Nicole MacNeal: I came into Southestern dental specialists on a Thursday and they got me into surgery on Friday, the nest day, for my wisdom teeth to be extracted. While I appreciate how quickly they got me into surgery, I had a dental assistant say on Thursday that she couldn't see how I could possibly be in pain. Then after surgery I had a few stomach complications and I lost my clots. I dealt with it and scheduled a post op appointment the following Monday. They said everything would be fine and that I indeed have a dry socket. They cleaned it out and put a clove paste in my mouth for 5 minutes. It didn't do much but it was better than nothing. 2 days later I call them back and say that I have an infection and a lot of discoloration, and I don't mean bruising. The nurses response was, " Well I don't know why it would be discolored and there's nothing else we can do for you" I had to get antibiotics from a hospital. 10 days later my left side is healed, yet the gum that is supposed to be connected to my 2nd molar is just a flap. My right side o the other hand is still a hollowed out hole with a full visual of Jaw bone. Needless to say, I would never recommend them to anyone because they did a very botched job and have caused me a great deal of pain. Editing to add that it turned out my right side was indeed infected and they made me wait two weeks before they would do anything about it. I ended up back at square one when they cleaned out my gums from the infection.
Breanne Ray: You never know what you have until it is gone! The last time I saw Dr.Mariona and his team was the first time I met them in December 2014. I was active duty and I knew I needed some dental worth done but did not feel comfortable with the service dentists. I came to him with terrible headaches due to my upper wisdom teeth puncturing my sinus cavity. And one bottom molar that I did not want to save. Dr.Mariona and his team got me in did xrays, explored my options, and I felt so comfortable that I allowed him to extract three teeth all in the same day. No pain before, during, or after. He was quick and efficient. And just overall amazing! But I’m crying as I say this because I just moved from North Carolina to Missouri on orders and got set up with a dentist who is nice but I don’t think she understands how to numb! I had to get another molar pulled and fillings. I am not afraid of dentist but this experience with her has been horrifying! I am having to stop her because I’m not numb! Bottom line, it took me five years to write a review for him because I never knew what a great dentist I had until I left. I am seriously just thinking about driving to him whenever I need dental work done.

Tiffany Brown: I am terrified of dentists, yet I went to Dr. Maoirana today and he is the best I've ever seen. I had to have 12 teeth removed to prepare for my partial and it's only been a few hours since I left there. I feel amazing I'm not in any pain and everything is stitched up nicely with no oozing or anything remotely in comfortable. If you ever need anything done do yourself a favor and make your appointment at Southeastern Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

P Mi: The front desk lies constantly. I had to have prescriptions changed from one place to another due to them not being in network. Caroline and Caitlyn told me that the assistant called and spoke with the new pharmacy to get it changed. That wasn't true, after having the new pharmacist call them directly they told her (Ebony) that the assistant has been in surgery and has not yet called to change the location but lied to me twice at 11:11am May 5th and 11:14am May 5th saying it was all ready called in. I've been without medication since the surgery due to their lies! Dr. Hanlon, his assistant and the nurse anesthetist were good, too bad Dr. Hanlon is leaving.

Jessica Hubbard: I have always been a nervous person when it comes to dental work. Two procedure have been done here and both have been very pleasant considering my anxiety. All questions have been answered in a timely manner and no one has made me feel dumb for asking them. Dr. Campbell was amazing with both procedures and has been in contact via text to make sure all is good. One person that was amazing during my appointments was Hannah. She went above and beyond to hold my hand, explained all the processes to me and just overall giving the best customer service ever!Every dental office needs a “Hannah”

Samantha Renfroe: I’ve never had a root canal before and have pretty bad dental anxiety because dentists often have a hard time numbing me. I was practically terrified for my procedure. Dr. Elsayed could tell I was nervous and reassured me that they would make sure I was totally numb before any work began. He numbed me thoroughly and tested my numbness with cold gauze on the affected molar, which I did not feel at all. This entire experience was nothing short of excellent. Dr. Elsayed and his assistant checked on me throughout and the entire thing was done in 45 minutes or less. They drilled through my existing crown and sealed with a permanent white filling. In total I was out of the office in about an hour. Thank you so much for your great work! I cannot recommend Dr. Elsayed enough!

Jo Lee: I was going for a root canal. I had Dr. EL Sahed and he never greeted me. He just did his job and left. Honestly, I just felt like a number to him. He was not personable, once he finished he just got up and left, never came back to talk to me about the tooth. The only one that was polite was the nurse in there with him. I would definitely not recommend this place due to Dr. EL Sahed. He was very rude during this process and made me feel like unwanted. Very disappointing.
Lori Maldonado: This place is absolutely wonderful. Staff were so caring and understanding. I had 2 kids both having all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. They helped every step of the way from making the appointments to getting them to the car afterwards. I would recommend them to anyone having any kind of dental surgery done.
