Fraulein Pottery LLC: what do users think?
Ciara Crane: We had such a great time with Lein! She was so helpful and encouraging! We made Bowls and a planter. Highly recommend!
Joseph Wuellner: Great ene
Laura Katherine: We took a pottery workshop and it was so much fun! Small, intimate setting with great service. We plan to come back for sure!
Noelle Barnes: My sister and I adored Julia’s wall pocket class! We attended after discovering the ad for the studio on Facebook, and we are so glad we did! Julia was kind and knowledgeable, and helped us create beautiful wall pockets that we will treasure! We met the owner, Lina, and she is just as kind. It’s very much worth it to attend one of the sessions offered here. Excited to return in the future!
Nathalie Unico: We loved the pottery class we took with Lina! She was so kind and an excellent teacher. She gave the perfect balance of directing our steps as beginners while still enabling us to shape our own unique pieces. The class was a blast! Definitely worth the drive from Raleigh!
S G: Lina is knowledgeable, welcoming, patient, and creative. I signed up for the one-on-one pottery wheel class at the studio to brush up on old skills before renting a wheel and doing classes with coworkers&friends. In the one-on-one class, I was offered some bottled water to start, got a tour of the studio, put on an apron, and then we wedged, centered, opened, and pulled-up the clay. Lina walks you through each step, and you go at your own pace. From there, we decided what we were going to make. Lina was very supportive and informative as we worked. There was no pressure or anxiety to be perfect even though I have experience with hand-building and wheel-thrown pottery.Lina provides everything you need as soon as you arrive. You just show up with a willingness to get your hands wet&muddy in fun ways. There is also a large sink in which you can wash up when you are done.Lina dried my piece while I washed my hands. I selected a glaze, and she helped me glaze my piece exactly how I wanted it. Lina will handle the kiln firing and contact me within 2 weeks when my piece is ready for pickup.I suggest wearing comfortable clothes, pants so you can sit with the wheel between your knees, and your hair up&back if it’s medium to long.I recommend signing up for any of Lina’s classes or group events. I can tell you with confidence that the Saturday Pottery&Prosecco session is good for all levels of experience. To any first timers thinking about signing up: You do not need to have *any* experience handling clay. Even for those of us who have experience, she has much to teach and share. Everyone is welcome, and you’ll make fun memories and a unique keepsake.Throughout the studio, there are also finished pieces available for purchase, so you can swing by and see if something catches your eye.
Erik Lowe: We all create bucket list and when they come through it is an amazing thing. My wife heard about this new store and I am glad I could surprise her with a pottery class. This was a great Birthday and date night. The guidance and structure of the course, truly set us up to succeed. I can't wait to return and do another class. This check mark is complete for my wife's bucket list.
Aaron Woods: This new shop is so beautiful and welcoming. Philina was an amazing teacher and ensured we enjoyed ourselves while making our new home pieces. Great for dates and even a small group of friends. I will be returning and encourage others to check it out. You won’t regret it!
Sada' Ray: So we went here for a date night and it was absolutely amazing. Philina was an outstanding teacher through the whole process. She was very friendly, helpful and willing. It’s very evident that she loves what she does. I will definitely be back! Please check this place out. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for making our date night great. My husband and I will be seeing you again!!!!
Ryan Garner: Did the private pottery class for two with my wife for Christmas. It was super comfortable in there and a whole lot of fun! Our pieces came out great and we got some experience using a wheel for the first time.
Thomas Toguchi: She was so kind! She welcomed us into her home like we were friends and even made us some coffee! Her teaching skills are so high quality, easy for beginners to follow, and very patient. She plays Lofi music and it’s a really chill environment. The time just flew by and she was so encouraging of my wife and I as we worked on our pieces. Thank you so much for an amazing Christmas gift fulfilled for my wife.
estefania sanpedro: We all LOVED this class so much , I will definitely recommend it ! Totally worth it ♥️
Jake Hoover: My wife and I went here for a date night and had a great time, we did the one on one couples class. We had a great time and I highly recomend to anyone. The instructor was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the process which she told us about as we made our pottery. Mine was terrible but my wife's mug turned out quite nice.
Brittany Moore: I wish I could give more stars! This was such an incredible experience. I booked a group pottery class with Lina for my family and we had the most amazing time. Lina is a fantastic teacher and made learning the pottery wheel easy and fun. I cannot recommend booking a class here enough and can’t wait for the next one!
Meranda Torres: Me and my wife did the couples pottery class. And we had such an amazing time. Instructor was very sweet, excellent on explaining the process and teaching us how to spin clay. Overall a great experience and we can’t wait to go back for more!
Aki Shimizu: I would highly recommend Philina's pottery class to anyone. My girlfriend and I took a pottery wheel lesson and had an amazing time. Philina was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and patient with us. The pieces came out beautifully and better than we had expected.
Toni Carey: I recently had the privilege of experiencing Philina's services. I am a Wedding photographer and I am so thankful to have found Fraulein Pottery to create something special and unique to gift to my brides. We decided on creating ring dishes with phrases custom to my branding. Philina was so helpful and excited to create these pieces for me. She even went the extra mile of creating sample pieces as examples for me to approve before I purchased from her. She is a kind & hardworking small business owner that I would recommend to anyone looking for beautiful pottery handmade with love! I am a huge advocate for supporting small or local - and she is well deserving of your business! :)
Tyree Mathews: If you're looking for more of a personal 1 on 1 experience this is definitely the place! Super sweet and very good at explaining. I enjoyed my time and had fun making my piece. I will definitely be back again.
Kelnoysha Lewin: Lina was nice and helpful. No experience needed. I would recommend her class to anyone
Stefanie Silsby: Lina made us the most beautiful wedding favors/name plates for our guests! I asked her if we could customize them to be used as ornaments as well and she was happy to do so. She made sure to keep us up to date on the progress and even delivered them to our house! I can’t wait for our guests to see them! They are so beautiful!
Whitney Rhone: If you are looking for a fun and relaxing couples event or girls night this is the place. You do NOT need to be creative at all to enjoy yourself. Lina was a wonderful instructor, she was very patient, encouraging, and takes her time with each client. The pottery studio is in a welcoming environment. Scheduling is easy via the website.

The gentleman at the register explained everything to us and was a darling. I think I may have enjoyed it the most. I’ll be back to paint more tea cups!
Heather MB: Spent about 4 hours painting our selections. No pressure ... great environment. Music was on point. A little pricey but will definitely be back.

Venetta Cockerm: From the moment I entered I was greeted warmly, surrounded by creativity and the invitation to indulge in my own. Each 'Newby' is joined by Bill, the proprietor, to be given a short, succinct and extremely helpful tutorial in lieu of having the best results as well as the best Fun. Located in lovely McPherson Square, this wonderful, cheerful place is safe and welcoming. The music is an eclectic mix played at the perfect volume to allow your spirit to register and enjoy familiar tunes without pulling your attention away from your creative flow. In fact, it encourages its Freedom. Bill and his sister are incredibly encouraging and attentive. Showing up at the perfect moment to refresh brush bowls and such. There is a wide range of potential projects affordable for all economic levels. The whole experience was restorative, refreshing and left me with a glowing, lightness of mind that lasted the entire weekend! Yesterday, just as Bill said, I received the call that my project had been fired and was ready for pickup. The happy feeling I'd had was rekindled to the fullest! I really hope everyone celebrating an event, looking for something different to do with friends, family, coworkers and even solo will visit 'Just Claying Around'! The experience is absolutely one of a kind!!!

In less than a week I got a call saying my piece was ready to pick up! Fast! When I returned for pick up I had the same kind and personable service. My kids come in to make pottery as often as we can, and absolutely love it.Support local business and have a great time!I cannot recommend this place more!

Tina Bromelow: Got lucky to reserve a table for six to get friends together before the pcs summer season started. Greg's Pottery has great prices, the pottery is uniquely fun to pick out for painting, inviting atmosphere with calming music playing. Turn around for finished products takes one week. Highly recommend!
Christian Snow: The owners/staff were very helpful, professional, and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back.
Anna Garlow: Today was my second time going. I took my son this time, absolutely loved it. The staff is so sweet and helpful. I even bought a figure to paint at home to bring back to be finished!
Barbara Mckoy: It's expensive too crowded my child has fun
daniel robinson: Very nice place and it was fun and Please
Izzy Street: I loved this place so much! The staff were so kind to us and really helpful. The prices for pieces were incredibly far for everything you are getting here. My husband did a large mug and I did a large plate (both were around $20ish dollars). They had a great selection of glaze, including some cool speckled ones. I cannot wait to pick out art up in a week!
Crystal Micallef: Love this place. I enjoy getting my pottery pieces to go home and paint in my free time and then you can bring them back so they can finish the firing process in the klin.
Amy Northington: Amazing customer service and super fun experience. It's paint at your own pace! There are other things available for purchase as well. Cute shop!
Amanda Williams: Had a great experience there, and the pieces turned out great. Prices are very reasonable as well.
Alyssa Ashley: I came in today to pick up a piece I painted. I told the lady at the counter I wanted to look at other pieces to paint (even though I have 3 other things to paint at home, my mother works at Just Claying Around) I like to go to both pottery places because they do have some different items. I saw these beautiful succulents that I wanted to get.i walked to the girl at the register and asked if it was okay for me to take a picture on the pottery pieces to show my Boyfriend (he likes to buy me things but wants pictures of items so he knows exactly what I'm wanting) the girl at the register was super sweet and told me yea its fine. The lady who was on the phone the entire time I was there got off the phone over heard me ask stopped to watched me walk back to the shelf looked at the girl at the register (probably made some face )turns back to me points and with a snappy attitude says don't take pictures of the pottery. Just because of her tone of voice and attitude I placed the pottery back down and say never mind then and walk out the store. I was about to buy the one pottery I kept picking up and looking at because it was so pretty and I didn't want to not get it. The lady I'm guessing is a manager blonde hair in a pony tail and has glasses
Kimberly Thimes: We have been to this store several times since we moved here. The staff are amazing and their customer service is top notch. They have a huge selection of pieces to paint. I have such a hard time choosing what I want to paint. They get in new pieces all the time and they create videos for their Facebook page to show all of it. There are different opportunities to create things like pumpkins painted with crystal glazes. I recently purchased a big Christmas tree with stand and it turned out amazing. Their suggestion for the tree color was spot on. I love having choice to paint at store or paint at home. Go see Kelly and her staff at Gregs. You will have so much fun there!
Joycelyn Reilly: Always great and friendly
Laura Stölzel: It was amazing!
David Schaffer: They are so friendly and helpful and a great time!!
Tessa Rivers: Adorable place. I haven’t done pottery here, but I did come in to look around. Ended up buying some incense. Staff was amazingly friendly.
Samantha Adams: Awesome place to relax. So many items to choose from. Staff is always so helpful and nice.
Ashley Clocher: My son and I came in today to make a few pieces. The staff was accommodating and friendly with my son. He loved the experience and we will be returning.
Jeremy Edward Sanderson VIII: Fantastic! What a great date spot. Your creation really does come to life once it's fired and glazed. We love our new cereal bowls lol
