Paige Porchia: Since my husband and I purchased our forever home a couple years ago we have been serviced by Ferrell Gas. The lower half of our home is heated via a large tank located on the property which was here when we arrived.The first couple times we received gas the experiences were pleasant. Customer service was friendly over the phone and in person. We were notified of our service day & window of time. We were contacted when the service truck was enroute and arrived. The service representatives communicated with us so we were aware of how the process worked and what to look out for ourselves.The last couple of times (December 2020 & February 2021) the customer service couldn’t have been worse! We are so disappointed we’re considering changing companies. The phone representative(s) was extremely condescending and rude. I honestly think it was the same woman both times that I spoke to; she acted like speaking to me was a waste of her time and was extremely short and unhelpful. We weren’t notified when the service truck was coming, much less on it’s way or EVEN WHEN IT WAS HERE ON OUR PROPERTY!!We have a right to know when someone is here on our property. We choose to be here whenever we get service from any company because that is what makes us feel safe, secure and informed! I only knew that someone had been by both time because my dogs alerted me to it and I happened to see someone walking in front of a window (one his way out!) today. I have specifically asked to be told when someone is here. That should not be a courtesy I have to request! We are very upset and I would like for management to be aware of the significant slide in customer service- before you lose more customers!

Pre•pro•tuck: Prepaid for gas over a week ago. Said they would deliver it by Monday the following week. They showed up and didn’t fill my tank...no gas and almost empty... I called and the lady told me the driver said there was a dog in the yard so he left... without calling or ringing the doorbell to see if anyone was home. My daughter was home with my dog (inside the house) which is where my dog was barking from. So the driver heard my dog, and decided not to call or ring the doorbell and leave... and I had to call them after I check my tank when I get home! Poor service.
Nikole Bohannon: Be cautious when setting up service with Ferrellgas - They do not provide all account set up details and options when establishing an account -They will run your credit check (HARD CREDIT) without providing you with the information they are doing so. Had I known a hard credit check was going to occur I would have simply asked for a military waiver form or asked if there was a pay upfront option, The set up fee is very minute there is no reason for a credit check- Set up is less than $50 and to fill is minimal as well,. As we all know it takes more time and effort for the waiver than the $50 is worth. I was not provided accurate information by the business of what my SSN would be used nor additional options. I had contacted the home office to express my concern that general statues of limitations for credit checking is not properly being completed by this particular location - the representative in the Credit department (Who was very defensive and curt) She is the one that advised me of the pay up front option which was not provided by the representative who was establishing the account - The credit rep advised me to send an email to a specific person, requesting that they contact Trans Union and remove it from my credit but then provided the remark of "I doubt that this will be approved but you can go ahead" - I have since filled a BBB complaint and will continue to press the issue of having the hard inquiry on my report until it is removed - Its not about the small points I will loose on my report (My credit is just fine - even the representative who ran the credit called me back and advised that "My credit is cleared and I'm approved) Its the principle that laws are not being followed. If account reps aren't establishing accounts the proper way, Why would I trust that the service reps are going to properly inspect my tank and fireplace correctly. Bad way to do business. There is plenty of competition in the area and I will be looking for a different provider.

Didn't tell me I would have to pay for gas already paid for. Some lie about reimbursing previous owner. Only reason I called them is tank had their name on it. I suggest that if you have one of their tanks, tell them to come get it. I wish I had sooner

Christine Purton: Parker's Gas had scheduled to come out and paint a propane tank that they had recently installed. They were supposed to come out on Friday and even texted confirmation on the Thursday beforehand.Come the day it was raining so we didn't really expect them and sure enough they didn't show up. That was understandable, but what wasn't was the lack of any communication from Parkers to apologize and reschedule. Still haven't heard from them. Obviously customer service and common courtesy are a thing of the past.Since posting the above review I have been contacted by a member of the Parker Gas staff who apologised for what was an oversight on their part. Two of their technicians also called out to our home today to complete the work originally scheduled for last Friday. The work was completed quickly and to my satisfaction and so, based upon that and the efficiency with which they completed the initial installation of our propane tank, I am more than happy to amend the rating that i initially gave them and would recommend then to anyone considering a propane installation.

The last time a refill was due, we had to make multiple calls to the office for the tank to get the refill after the gauge showed under 20% propane. It was the first time we had the issue, but we shouldn't have had the issue at all. Also, the reason for the multiple calls was because the customer service employees didn't seem to care about or understand the issue, we had to receive a call from the Manager before the problem was resolved.

Suburban Propane: what do users think?
Janette Torres: FANTASTIC customer service from the office to service employees. We ran out of gas in the middle of the night on a cold day and they came after hours to fill it up and do an inspection to make sure we didn’t have a leak of any sorts. They were so quick and efficient. Thank you so much Team
C Jenks: Do Not Use. I contacted them regarding the pick up of THEIR company owned equipment. A time was scheduled. They picked up hours, before notifying me that they were on their way and charged me after the fact. There was never a mention of cost or payment. They just sent a bill. Immediately I called 4 separate times to get clarification in case it was by accident. No one could answer my questions and simply stated that someone would call me back. No one did. When I called the corporate office, they stated that they have nothing to do with charges and I would need to call my local office. Do Not Use! I am still waiting to hear back from Suburban. The only contact they have had with me was asking me to write this review. Do Not Use Suburban.
james blumer: Call to have propane tank installed and set up with a gas log fireplace after they disassembled and inspected the fireplace, it was reassembled incorrectly :ie, exhausting into the house instead of outside, never put the into the schedule to have the tank filled,if I didn't call I would have a tank, fireplace and no propane

College of Education: Monthly bill too high. I live in an apartment...by myself...and my gas bill is constantly over $100. Gas is used to heat my water. Called and no one can explain why my bill is high. Feel trapped because I can not use another company because the apartment complex has a contract with them.

Myrone Davis: My bill went from 55 to 250 any they have no explanation just telling me it’s based off usage, it’s been 70 degrees almost all month it’s not usage the heat is barely on and there’s no way I’ve used that much in hot water. All they could tell me was to contact maintenance at my apartment but maintenance is going to pay my bill or get it reduce for faulty equipment or a bad meter. I thought I would never say this but I want to go back to PWC.
Harold Barefoot: The service is great, however I do have to caution the Tech's that come to my house. I own dogs, and have signs posted to that effect. Please knock on the front door to let us know you are entering the back yard where the dogs are located. The last visit almost cost the Tech a bite. The dogs were being let out into the back yard where the Tech was without us knowing he was there. Thankfully we spotted him before the dogs got to him. Over all though the service is great.

Amy Fennell: I have tried to be patient with this company. Last year they broke my garden hose reel and did not leave a note or offer to solve the issue. Two weeks ago I called to report the blower for my gas log fire place was not working. They scheduled me for the soonest appointment which was two weeks away. The day before the appointment they call to tell me they don't work on blowers and do not know who does. I have wasted time waiting for this company to fix something they KNEW they could not fix when the appointment was scheduled. I suggest going with another gas company!

Bobby Taylor Oil Company: what do users think?
Heather Botto: We've been a customer of bobby Taylor oil since we moved here in 2006. We use our propane for our stove a fireplace. Since our kids have grown up and moved out we rarely use our fireplace and we cook once a day every day. Since we haven't ordered propane in 2 years we are getting hit with a "non use fee" of $75.00. They gave us no warning of this "fee", we just got a bill. That's awesome courtesy for your loyal customers!

When I moved to the new location the tank that was there was a customer owned tank.so I called and asked for a rental tank and was informed I would be on a waiting list for probably a year I was not informed that I could have one ordered for me to purchase.so after exhausting all other avenues I purchased a new tank through a local provider in Vanceboro and set it myself. This all started two months ago and the tank has been set for about a week and I still do not have gas tank filled.I am now being told I have to have a pressure testing it will probably be next week. I have never been so dissatisfied with the lack of service that I have received from this company. I am wondering if y'all even want to sell gas at this point. Totally disgusted 😒

Angie Quist: Outright unprofessional, rude, and explosive service! By far the absolute worst company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I was quoted $764 and they came out 2 days later to deliver the tank and fill it. The invoice was $115 more than what I was quoted. I called and spoke to David, who gave me the original quote. David stated that a part was needed and that’s the reason for the extra $115. I inquired as to why that was not communicated to me before being done instead of a surprise charge. David literally yelled at me that he will come get the tank and I “would need to find another company.” I told him that was fine but I was surprised he wouldn’t have just apologized for the lack of communication vs losing a paying customer. I didn't have a problem paying it, I just didn't appreciate the surprise charge and lack of communication. He then said, “well if you’re gonna be mad at me over $115 then I’ll take that charge off.” I said, “great thank you”…..he then hung up on me without taking payment. I called another company, that had far superior customer service and was cheaper, so I chose to go with them instead. After being treated so childishly by a grown man I had no desire to ever work with this company again. I called David back and informed him they would need to pick up the tank and that I will not being paying them a penny, to which he again screamed at me saying that he was going to put my address out there so that no other propane company in town would ever service me. When they came to pick up the tank they entered my yard without first making us aware they were even there, then left the gate open knowing we have dogs. Finally, one of the guys that picked up the tank had the nerve to come back on my property and ask my daughter for her phone number….I’m speechless after that!

Richard Corbin: Just a great company. Found my old tank was leaking and it was replaced the very next day very quickly. I called at 10am and my tank was replaced and filled back up by 2pm. Had 4 different workers at my house at 2 different times and every one of them was respectful, friendly and did not hesitate to answer any question I had and even educated me on all the valves and regulators. They have definitely earned my business and my loyalty.

All I knew was my son had purchased 100 gallons in Nov. I called D.K. Taylor Oil Co. and spoke to a very kind, understanding receptionist. By 9;30 am I had a tank full and heat in my house! Not only that, but they put me on a special roster, at no cost, where they will come out and check my tank for me! I am a very happy customer! If you need fuel oil I encourage you to call D.K Taylor Oil Co. They have several different programs tailored to fit your needs.

Roger Knox: This will be a lengthy review, I felt it was necessary to share the experience I had with UPG. I’ve been a customer for about eight years or little longer n in those years I’ve never been a customer to not pay a bill or had any confrontations with any of the staff.Seems the last few years customer service changed, I could never reach a live person when telephoning for delivery of gas once my gas tank was at 30 percent capacity. Around Dec 26th I tried calling the Greenville ofc sev times, no answer. Called another day n rec’d a recorded mesg stating I would have to place an order online. I did so n in the remarks I ask for a courtesy response back letting me know the order was rec’d. No response, I then placed the order again n rec’d a response that they were sorry for the inconvenience n would get back with me. Waited sev more days n still no gas, at this point I was concerned my gas would run out. I tried calling them sev more times for sev days n no answer. Finally, I called n a live person answered n I ask who she was n where was she located. She said her name was Dawn Rabon n she was in the Dunn, NC facility. I explained my prob to her n she listened patiently n said she would follow up n find out what the delay was in delivering the gas n she def would respond back to me that afternoon. She def kept her word which I respected her for that n she did respond back to tell me I should be on the list for delivery of gas the next day. I did rec gas the next day n I def wanted to commend Dawn on a job well done. I was an HR Coordinator for 30 years with Hallmark Cards n I know what it means to have dedicated n honest hardworking employees. I feel Dawn is one of these kinds of employees n one that a company needs to try to keep. It takes everyone working together n doing their job to make a company successful. I feel in today’s world Dawn is a rare find n should be commended n compensated for her outstanding customer service. She is an employee that will continue bringing in new clients with her way of treating people. Word of mouth will always be the best advertisement along with quality customer service. This will keep a successful business running for many years.Hopefully, this review will reach the right people to follow up with future issues like this one n make some changes.Barb Knox
