Bella L: Buyer beware! We purchased our home in 2021. I normally don’t write reviews, but these builders are the worse in my opinion. Do not purchase from them until they fix everything. They will tell you don’t worry;” you have a year warranty and nothing gets fixed.” They let our warranty run out so we spent thousands to fix their mistakes. I will never buy anything from these builders again. Do your due diligence before buying a home from them. We have new neighbors that are dealing with the same problem we had. I wished them luck on getting any help from this company.Service:Custom home design

T C: Will not support military movers. AVOID this builder if you are military and PCSing to Lejeune. Unprofessional and unresponsive. We found a home that we were interested in and when the listing agent finally got back to us days later she said that no offers were put on the house. When we submitted an offer, it turned out the builder had already accepted one that the listing agent did not even know about! Even more frustrating was that the other offer was submitted after we tried contacting them for info. After that ordeal they told us another lot would be ready for July since that is when we needed to be in town. Once we started putting in an offer for the lot, they came back and said July was unrealistic two days later! To make matters worse, after our offer on another home was accepted the original one we wanted was back on the market!! We wasted a week and a half with these people and potentially lost other homes that went off the market while going back and forth with them. Do not deal with these people, especially Alex in Oyster Landing Sneads Ferry unless you want to get back doored on shady offers and dealings.

Ian Chen: Very bad experiences so far from this builder on an investment property in NC. The house were found to have multiple issues during the annual inspection. Everything is still covered by warranty. Two months passed after I filed the warranty claim followed with emails and phone calls. No response. Kirstyn Rossman: There are many issues I could list in the development of our home. We understand things happen, but the communication was the worst part. Anytime we reached out with questions we were treated like we were an inconvenience. We closed 2-3 months later than planned. On our closing date, we had a huge list of things still not completed. We were just so thankful to finally be in our home we figured it is what it is.Until we had an actual emergency in our home. We upgraded to a gas package. When our stove was installed, I would turn it on and the flame was HUGE. We contacted the warranty department to send someone out. Our choice was to not use the range at all while we waited weeks for this to be solved- so I cooked on the lowest setting which damaged all of my nice pots and pans.A technician came out and said "all set!". The issue remained. So they sent ANOTHER tech out who said the stove was incorrectly installed and that he fixed it. The next morning I made breakfast for myself and my two small children, ages 3 and 6. Within an hour, the carbon monoxide alarm went off. I thought it was a fluke but called 911 and went outside with my kids and dog anyway.The fire department came and said the carbon monoxide levels were toxic. They sent out EMS to check out myself and my daughters who did in fact have a low amount of carbon monoxide. They stated had we waited a few more minutes it would have been a medical emergency. It took another fire crew coming and doing remediation for over an hour to fix it.I called C&C warranty, they sent out another tech. He couldn't find the source. Just said I dont know what to tell you. I was too scared to use the stove so called AGAIN. They sent the appliance tech out this time who immediately saw the conversion was done incorrectly. One of the techs had installed to natural gas instead of the correct setting, causing the natural gas issue.After all that- the only call I got was from the foreman who has been the only consistently kind person. No one from C&C called to even offer an apology for what could have been a devastating incident. I can never recommend this company.

Dav S: Finally closed 4 months late, the foreman is a joke actually called me up fussing at me about some list that I gave someone, I told him I live 3 hours away I have not been there since pre drywall. After that he shut his mouth. The reason they are late they claim supply chain and lumber but bottom line it is a money grab for them right now and they use cheap labor and poor quality, foreman seems to be absent alot or atleast in his own mind, had no attention to detail. Literally had about 20 broken tiles in backsplash the they missed it before my final walk through. Sales team and sales support are incredible but it ends there. Honest truth if you try to wipe a smudge off the wall the paint comes off. The plastic electrical boxes in ceiling are cheap quality and i am not sure nor do i trust them to hold a ceiling fan. I had some friends in another city (Pinehurst area) have very similar issues so it is not isolated in this area.I have been told lie after lie from foreman and have it all documented. Their warranty team is really good and i appreciate them. The backyard was a mess, old tires, sandbags, beer cans, brush, poison ivy and much more, i kept asking about it and was told it was my problem, 3 days after closing the foreman tells me he is going to have lanscapers come clean up because other 2 neighbors complained too. Well think he can not send anyoneback on to my property after closing and of course they never showed, needless to say i am in deeeep on clearing this mess myself. I could be here for days but do not waste your time the owners do not care either, I called them and they avoided me by having someone else call me, cowards!!! I'm old school I believe in facing it head on

Widebody Red: I got approved and thinking I had the home applied for . They was still taking applications stacking the the funds for the fees while at the same time you in a race to beat the next applicant to pay your deposit and sign a lease same day with little time to review and if you don't sign immediately thinking you have time to review prior to signing. They will cancel you lease and give the property not some one else. Not a good way to do business but a certain waste of time and money. Management companies are just out to make money off you and the owner .

Laura: The poorest quality workmanship on a brand new home. It looks like they used scrap wood and second hand material. Still waiting almost a year for warranty issues to be fixed. I never been so disappointed.However, due to supply chain delays, the warranty department is currently working to resolve the issues and I feel confident that they will. I’m hoping for the best.

Private Private: 😴 Designs seem like H&H homes (now Dream Finders homes) use already to me, maybe a small change but still? Same same same... Everything looks the same around here. Rename the model from the Wilmington Plan (H&H), Southport (Dream Finders), Pickens (A&G) and others... drive around neighborhoods and copy what buyers already upgraded, like columns, a better island, and garage door and boom = Same. Low ceilings, small master bath, narrow driveway/garage and lacking windows on sides and upstairs back are a few repeated issues no matter who builds it... the same doesn't help value in the long run and curb appeal looks like a military post - redundant and bland. Am I wrong, I welcome a reply especially if I'm incorrect 🙂 🤷‍♂️

Amy H: If you are looking for a builder who stands behind their work, this is NOT it. A relatively new company (est. 2018) A&G seems to be after quick profits rather than establishing a legacy in the building industry. They cut corners, use cheap materials and leave behind a trail of waste on your property.The outcome is a poorly built house for which they refer known deficiencies to their warranty company and to whom you are asked to submit a claim. The warranty company has simply replied "not responsible" to many of our claims. Including items that are falling apart after just 9 weeks of ownership. Classic build and run.Don't risk your house to A&G. Build a home you can be proud of.

Daniel: Purchased A&G home in July. We were never told that the internet lines were not ready- internet lines available 7 months after closing. Not sure how the builder or developer allows this to happen.-Our door knobs have fell off multiple times on the door entering the garage and back door.-Flooring has separated in some parts and seems to be poorly done.-They only installed gutters on the front of our house…unacceptable.Just seems as if it was quickly built and lacks quality in some areasTheir response time is great.

Shella Korch: My husband and I had our first home built by A&G Residential in January 2020. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Wells and Jamie and their whole team.I found out soon after we started the build process that I was pregnant with our second child. Their whole team was very understanding that now we were really under the gun with a timeline. They got us in our house four weeks before our son was born, just enough time to get settled and nest in preparation for our new bundle of joy. They even sent us congratulatory flowers after he was born, over a month after our closing!This past week, a year and a half after our closing, I had an emergency in the house while my husband is deployed. I did not know who to call at first and then thought of Wells. I called him and told him what was going on and Jamie came right over to look at the issue. It turned out to be a washing machine issue, not build related at all, but Jamie still helped me with getting everything fixed and back in place. They literally came to my rescue while my husband is deployed. There isn't anything more admirable than that in my book!I highly recommend A&G Residential to anyone who is looking to build their home. They really care about their clients and it shows. We love our home and are blessed and thankful for it every day.
