Cape Fear Valley Rehabilitation Center: what do users think?
Gerry Olsen: Megan and April are the best.At the injection clinic
Eva - Soe Valiant LLC: The ladies in the infusion clinic are the best!
Billy Olsen: Continuing to provide quality care for people in need; thanks for having a great staff.
Karen Earhart: Was in Hospital Rehabilitation and move from Hospital even though I was not supposed to leave, because my Surgeon had never released me to travel. I am trying to get my Rehab going but it’s been hard to get them to come in to my home
jrichg43: I have found the staff to be caring, compassionate, and competent following my recent stroke.
TRUDY MCLEOD: I was in CFR about 2 years ago and I hated it!! The nurses were not friendly at all (except a few), and the therapists were horrible. Whether I was bleeding from my incision or throwing up, they still expected you to be there for therapy . I never wanted to see them again. Well, guess what.... I had major back surgery and this is where they put me. As much as I was dreading it, they were all great except for one nurse. When I say great, I mean great! All of them like hospitality, nurses, therapist, doctors, all of them.
Ebony Palmer: I sat in my room over 4 hours in pain, constantly calling and paging ANY nurse. One finally came and blamed lack of response on a shift change that happened hours before. Some workers you come in contact with, have the worse attitude. This is one place I hope no one ever has to go.
Maddy Hauser: Person registering people for their vaccines today verbally abused me outside of their clinic. Hope this is not how theyve been treating people. I got my vaccine today, but not here. I qualify for group 1 under NC's definition and I had that verified.
Donna Halloran: Just finished the covid vaccine process. Kudos... you have a lot to be proud of
Ann Heilman: The staff is very caring and give you individual attention. I did inpatient. I recommend.
David Rich: I've been coming here for a few months. My 2 boys go here and I've not been impressed or under any impression that the people that work here have a clue of what they're doing. We attend physical therapy twice a week. One of my sons I had to ask for a progress report and the answer was idk I havent checked. It's been a month or so, as of this point and time. Then they check and its little to no progress. I can see why. I will finish out there time here for the rest of the month but as s physically fit and educated person I dont think a therapist should ask children well under the age of 10 to tell them what they want to do for therapy.... there's no pushing them to listen or to do things that are more strenuous than playing the wee and playing a baby game. They do ten times more at home which has been said, but still dont do anything harder than what they do at home. I had to ask to do things a certain way and what they should do to stabilize a certain area. Maybe I was just spoiled from nation wide childrens, but this place is not a place to bring children too. Again they will never come back after there apts are over. Waisting everyone's time but the therapists. Cant believe they get paid, or wonder who supervises them. Maybe it's my fault and they dont need pt, idk. But I'm sure they'd tell me from their "professional opinion". Good thing going for them is the people are nice 🤷‍♂️.
Aleisha Rich: We take our 5 & 7 year old here and it's the biggest waste of time. They stand around playing games and do nothing helpful for their injuries. Everything they do with our boys is the same stuff we do daily at home, nothing challenging and they don't enforce them to do anything helpful that uses the muscles they lost from being in casts. We'll be looking for a different rehab center.
Casey w: This place is a joke
minibigbob32: horrible experience

Carolina Rehab Center of Cumberland: what do users think?
Ellen Gibson: Very clean facility. The receptionist was the nicest I've seen in a long time. I pass by the nursing station and everyone was friendly. My sister was clean and so was her room. She don't like the food but that's because she miss my cooking ☺️. Excellent
HARRY DOUGLAS: Awesome first time experience. My grandmother was here almost twenty years ago. My mom is here now for rehabilitation. Great facility !
Michael McGuire: My opinion of the facility and staff from the Ground, House Keeping, Admin, Food Service, , Physical Therapy and Nursing Staff was like seeing a well oiled machine . The grounds were well manicured . The floors and rooms were cleaner than most Resturant chains. The personality of every staff member made me feel like my sister is in a very good place. Before I went to her room I made an on the spot inspection of the facility just to tell Alliance Health Care my findings . I will say to them that this is a model of how a facility should be. It was nothing fake here and nobody knew that I am a doctor and they still treated me the way I would love all that enter the premise to be treated .Dr. Michael B. McGuire .; Alliance Health Care CFAC Steering Committee Chair.
Dat SmammeredGuy: Service awsome... Dr. Christopher Imber cool dude straight to the point...very helpful...
Cindy Nichols: My mother Alice Thompson has been a patient at your facility 2 times and she has always been treated with kindness and respect from everyone who works there. I pray mama doesn't need to be in rehab anymore but if she does I will definitely request yours. Thank you for taking such good care of our mama.
Bishop Email: I was greeted immediately with a smile and a warm welcome.
Clyde Grady: Excellent staff. Thank you.
Sevena Lee: The nursing staff and front services was kind and efficient on our recent visit. I appreciate the work they do in our world
Leon Olinger: All staff i meet were very nice and professional
Tamell Moore: Very clean friendly home for the elderly God bless them all patients and workers
Frances Murdock: We had a great visit with my neighbor Johnny Reece . His room was a clean . And the receptionist a very nice.
Myra Mcgill: Friendly and clean staff were very helpful and friendly also polite. Meet some patients who were very friendly so enjoy my visit great place for your love ones
George McCall: Any questions or concerns that I had about my father-in -law. Treatment was quickly addressed with the family :)
Sybil Davila: From the time I walked in, there was an air of graciousness and excitement coupled with ernest respect, so glad I came here.
Ica Cherry: I've visited my friend for nearly a year and your customer service is awesome. Most of the staff know my face if not my name, so when they see me I'm asked, did you find her or are you looking for her. Today 12th May 2023 the center invited families to attend a Mother's Day breakfast with our family member. When we got into the breakfast area, the room was decorated so beautifully in pink and white. As soon as we were seated, we were served a scrumptious breakfast. Each client was given a beautiful carnation of various colors. Family members chatted and took pictures and some staff walked around taking some as well. There was a Happy Mother's Day banner that several people stood near and took selfies. Everything was so well orchestrated. My family friend was so intrigued with the tiny fruit fork that she held on to it. Thank you for all you do for "our families" today and always. Blessings to you allAmen!!!
mitchell carter: Staff seems to be very friendly, and knowledgeable. Also, I am well pleased with the order, cleanliness, and appearance of the facility. Thanks,Mitchell Carter
Gerardo Acevedo: Great experience
Susan Wagman: Nice facility, but patient beds, furniture and rooms are in terrible condition. My mother hated it there.
Denise Elliott: Very nice place, I didn't interact with the nursing staff as my family member had checked in that day. I can however give a updated review later.
Jamie Elliott: Very dedicated staff.
Dawn Jarvis: I visited Carolina Rehab Center as a hairstylist coming in to shampoo and cut a resident. The staff was professional, courteous and helpful. The salon area was clean and the equipment was in good shape.

Highland House Rehabilitation & Healthcare: what do users think?
Mz. Jay: I was transferred from CFVMC to Highland House for rehabilitation to overcome muscle weakness after a lengthy battle of COVID tied to pneumonia.Although I was hesitant at the thought of another “rehab” facility, once I arrived, settled in, and met some of the staff, seems that I slowly began to find a purpose and pace. This is an older building and compound and may not possess all of the glitz and glam of other facilities. However, please don’t be misled. I am reminded of something my mother used to say…”everything shiny ain’t gold.” The most important asset here is the warm-heart, of a genuinely caring professional staff. All levels of staff were equally concerned and eager to help satisfy me in anyway possible. Every one of my concerns were listened to and discussed until they were resolved. I was actually impressed at witnessing the smooth flow of true teamwork. My only complaint would be food. Often the food arrived cold and rather bland, needing a little bit “more love,” and balance but nothing more. This is my only reason for not giving the five star review.Although the entire staff was outstanding, there are several who really stood up, Thank you. Nurses: Alva and Carol. Aids: Hillary and Sabrina. Admin: Brittney and Natasha. Therapy: Jackie and Roya.If I am ever in need of a rehab facility again, I will not have any reservations or hesitate where to go. I would gladly return to Highland House and recommend it to any of my loved ones.
corey wallace: if you have a possum or raccoon that needs to go to hospice, maybe you should choose this place. Other than that, i recommend not using this facility. The decommissioning of this facility, would do wonders for Fayetteville!!!
Stella Mullen: My friends are there and the staff is friendly and professional. The staff is always cleaning and they care about the residents. During the pandemic it was extremely hard for all nursing facilities but the staff at Highland always worked to provide the best care for my friends.
Kim Conyers: This facility is horrible! As my mom’s condition worsen, she was neglected, and over medicated, when she was placed in the hospital, she was dehydrated and malnourished. Shortly after that she transitioned.
C M: My appt was at 1 at 2 I was still waiting when i ask what's the wait I got the same answer "they getting her up now". This is the worst facility my mother has ever stayed at.
Karen Fisher-jackson: The absolute worse place on earth! I have been trying to contact this place for weeks about my Aunt! NOBODY ever answer phone!
Theresa Sparks: My friend is trying to get some rehab here and he claims they are not following through and often deny them water when they ask for it. I wish someone would do an inspection on this facility and report them! There is no excuse for mistreatment of disabled people!!!
Zay Edwards: I was a Maintenance assistant for this facility1. The administrator doesn’t care about her staff or knows what’s going on in this facility it was days that I felt like quitting because of how I was treated as an employee here.2. I felt like I was discriminated working for this facility because of how I was treated from Mrs. Dianne and my Supervisor3. They do not care for the residents there it’s a hostile work environment too many people trying to be Supervisors there4. I’ve have recordings on the administrator saying mean things to a black co worker she also discriminated against meOverall I wouldn’t trust your love ones in this facility half of everything that goes on in that place the administrator doesn’t know about and she just doesn’t care about her employees or the residents there I experienced this that place is a dump and it’s falling apart. I promise you do not trust your family members or love ones in this place.
S H: Had some pertinent issues regarding a circumstance for a family member. I spoke with a wonderful, caring woman named Nichole Baldwin. She reccomended we contact this facility for help. If this organization cares even half as much as Ms. Baldwin does to their clients as she has stated, I know we will be in the best of care. Thank you, Nichole! You're amazing ;-)
Garry Hawn: Mom likes it. She has her own room and is treated well by the staff.
Benita: I wouldn't recommend this facility . The front desk didn't acknowledge I was there to see visit a love one. After I was acknowledged, the lady was extremely rude. Please stay with your love ones to ensure proper care. If not they are left alone in their rooms or the hallways.
Kim Wood: My mom has received wonderful care here. She has been in rehab since February. She is happy and that’s what matters to me. The office has been more than generous and flexible. PT/OT go over and above to help my mom be the beat she can be. They are sweet and not mean and pushy. The nurses have been kind and competent. D hall has been a blessing and made this difficult time much better! Thank you Highland House!
M Robinson: If I could give zero stars, I would. I tried to get my sister in here for long term care. The admissions coordinator, Stephanie, doesn't know what the heck she is doing. She tells you lies, the business office lies and the nurses lie. This place is a joke. I should be glad my sister was not accepted into this place. The state should shut it down. Run...don't go to this place or you'll regret placing your loved one in here.
April Lynch: I thought this place was a dream come true until I was wrongfully fired for something I didn’t do because of the lies I lost everything if only I would’ve done my research on this place I wouldn’t been in the position I’m in!!
Rosa Mendieta: I had my mother with Alzheimer there for only 5 days as part of my respite care provided by hospice. I showed the 2nd day to see how things were going and she was not given her medication (she seemed to be in bad pain) My mom is not verbal or mobile and they had her in an alternating air mattress that was broken. She was literally sinking in the middle because the alternating air mattress was deflating. I went the 3rd day and she was smelling bad and her mouth was not wiped at all. The 5th day she was returned home, they not only did not sent her back smelling bad as if they had not bath her the whole 5 days, but had a small sore in her diaper area--yes the diaper seem to have been there for a while, she had food outside her mouth, her teeth were not clean, and had a small sore inside her mouth. It was only 5 days, and I showed 2 of them and she was treated this way? Not recommending this place at all!!!
1 0: This is a HORRIBLE facility to work for. The administrative staff is very unfair, dishonest, and petty; not to mention, messy. The DON, M., is a liar and does not offer the same pay to new nurses. The scheduler, T., is also a liar and very petty. She talks about employees when they are not around, not considering the fact that they may know others; as if they will not be notified, in which I was. The DON's pet, C.W., is a liar and petty as well. I cannot say nothing good at all about this place. If I could give negative stars, I would. They do not offer the proper training for new nurses and are willing to throw new nurses into a charge nurse position because of the numerous call outs they have from current nurses. How can you be charge nurse within your first week when you are still orienting with another nurse on the floor? Also, some of the nurses do not care about the patients at all. Hospice care is supposed to be focused on comfort care. If your relative is in hospice care at this facility please just take them home and allow their last days to be with loving, caring family. When a nurse can say that she doesn't want to give a patient their pain medication on the hour because they don't want to do all of that documentation, then that is UTTERLY DISGUSTING AND UNACCEPTABLE. DO NOT CONSIDER WORKING HERE NOR SENDING YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE FOR CARE UNTIL THEY CLEAN HOUSE AND HIRE A NEW ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF AND. SOME NEW NURSES THAT ACTUALLY CARE FOR PATIENTS!!!
Chrystal Whisenhunt: Highland House is a very nice facility! The staff are very helpful and attentive to residents needs. Very impressed!
Connie Fletcher: I highly recommend staying as far away from this place as possible. Unorganized is an understatement, they will tell you whatever they can to get you in the door, tell you everything is covered until the bills start coming in, then they say the person who told you it was covered didn’t have the authority to tell you that (even though she was the one signing the paperwork) and you owe a thousand dollars. Well, I went through a social worker, the administrators, and the front office telling me the first 20 days after a hospital stay was covered 100%, I made it known over and over that he had come from another rehab, and they assured me he was covered, well, he wasn’t, however what can you expect when they call to make a ‘care plan’ for my family member who at the time had been moved to his NEW facility for a week already, they couldn’t even coordinate to know he wasn’t there anymore. BEWARE this place
Terry Mclean: Highland House Hospice is by far the worst hospice care I ever came from. The "nurses" here are awful and disrespectful. They seem to have little to no training at all. My grandma has been here for 5 days and I never seen her so miserable. I'm overjoyed tomorrow is her last day here. She was in pain because of her hemriod and when she used her alert tone it the nurse just about 5 minutes to respond that's ridiculous when her nurse only had about 3 occupied rooms and she wasn't caring for any of them at the moment. My grandma says she tries to have conversations with them but they just give her what she needs and just leave.. I never been so upset for her till now. If you're planning on bringing an elder family member here DONT. You'll be doing them a huge favor.

Autumn Care of Fayetteville: what do users think?
Louise Powell: My mother was placed at this facility TWICE for rehab. Once in 2021 for a broken arm. That time it was explained that my brother and I are her POA and she has dementia therefore I had to be at her appointments so I could be aware of what the doctors were saying. They brought her to the wrong location for an appointment and left me sitting at the other location for an hour before finally contacting me! And thought it was a joke. This last time, she came home yesterday after being there for 2 weeks after a fall to regain some of her mobility. They did nothing for her. She came out the exact same way she went in. However, lied to me about her progress because I live in Florida now. I have tried to speak with administration and make a complaint about the staff and care and have yet to receive a call back. I am looking into who I need to call to report this place.
Danielle Pham: This is a great facility! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They also take care of a lot of Veterans and my friend has her husband at this location. I have visited and are very happy with his care.
Melanie Sampson: Autumn care does not treat employees especially the Cna’s and housekeepers with respect and fairness you go the extra mile and it’s still not good enough. I would not recommend putting in an application.
Buddy Green: My 87-year-old grandmother was unfortunately placed in this facility when she was released from the hospital last month. Being extremely sharp still for her age, the things she described that we're going on in this place to others was despicable. Leaving clients in their rooms for hours begging for water or without the bedding replaced on their beds and stuck in wheelchairs for hours without attendance... I'm surprised this place is still open! The staff would consistently lie to her about other patients covid status as well as serve cold food that was often late. I wish I could give this place zero stars.
Evelyn Velez: I love working for Autumn Care . We have the best rehab in Fayetteville, and our staff is committed to the well being of our residents.
David Baxley: Autumn Care of Fayetteville is wonderful place to bring your love ones for any skilled nursing and rehab needs. The residents are loving and the staff always lends a helping hand. I would recommend anyone to bring their love ones to the facility.
Ellen Baxley: Great place, friendly staff.
Mary Quinn: Absolutely love this facility! And so does my Mother, just ask her! She will tell you that is her home. The nursing staff and the Activities staff have really made the difference. During this hard time with the Covid they have keep me informed, as my mom was diagnosed with Covid a few days ago. This has been a hard time for everyone, staff and residents but they have bent over backwards to keep everyone cared for and informed!!
nancy riddick: Well I was once told, that if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all…. My relative was ok, but some departments haven’t got a clue, of what’s going on…
Heather King: Worst place ever! They should be closed! Very unprofessional! Leave your loved ones in dirty and urine filled clothing. They yell at them and rough them up. Sorry to say I wouldn’t leave my dog there!
Andrea Goodwin: My diabetic aunt has been here for some time. I'm very unhappy with what's going on here. They haven't changed her clothes or her diaper, they don't bathe her, they don't keep her feet elevated and off the bed with a pillow (she'll lose her feet if she gets a sore on her heels because she's diabetic). She already has enough problems, she doesn't need to have her feet amputated on top of that because the staff can't even keep a pillow under her feet.
Stephanie Wainright: Autumn Care of Fayetteville is honestly the best facility I have ever worked in and I have worked in LTC for the past 11yrs. They have great staff and really do care about the residents. I am blessed to work with a great company and facility. I would recommend this facility to anyone, not only because I work with the company but they do care about all residents and families. I would make sure any of my loved ones would be placed at Autumn Care of Fayetteville if I ever had to have a loved one placed.
Dawnelle Pham: Beautiful facility with private rooms and full bathrooms in all rooms. They do a great job with short term rehab as well. I would definitely recommend this facility!
Dave P: My family and myself were really impressed with the care given to my father during his stay here. All the staff were very friendly and attentive to my father needs and care. Keep up the great service. And thank you to Suzanna Matteson, your professionalism and concern is very much appreciated!
Shaquana Dee: Awesome facility extremely clean with a wonderful staff
Tamar Dawkins: Great place to work! Every department does an phenomenal job taking care of the residents. Autumn care of Fayetteville will take great care of your love ones.
Steve Hall Hall: Great place to work !!
Emma Smales: I wouldn't put a dog in that place. Nurses don't care, mom lost so much weight. Never received physical therapy. All her clothes were taken. I had to go find her clothes....they said they fed her , never got water to drink. I got very little help from anyone...If you care for your love one....this is not the place..
Lamar Perkins: Believe it or not; at or about 1:23 on 23 May, 2021 today, there was a 4 ft snake on my window ledge, trying to get into my room. After pressing the ''call button'' and waiting at least a 30 min. an attendant responded. I gave a description of what I saw; as could be understood, the attendant fearfully and with caution, approached the window and did not see the reptile. She then stated she would inform her Supervisor of my concern. The snake reappeared in less than 15 minute and went back and forth, glazing through the glass; as it returned and departed 3 times. Using my mobile phone, I called the receptionist, told her my concerns and requested a Supervisor to come to my room. After at least 45 minutes the shift Supervisor came, I then explained what I had seen. Time later, she went outside, stood a great distance from the area in which the reptile was reported and briefly glanced at bushes. The Supervisor returned and stated ''I did not see a snake.'' With this, she became very brash and aggressive, questioning the truefullness and validity of my statement. In being absurd, she asked me how do I know it was a snake. I understood her fear and suggested that she should call animal control, to investigate. She replied, ''I am not going to have them come and tear up my garden.''This is one of many instances, in which the administration was derelect fail to act upon, take responsibility, show passion or concern, and the ability to manage. The Supervisor suggested, this had occurred before on other occasions, with that in mind; it is clear the she was willing to pass on the problem, leaving it unsolved. Demonstrating incompetence, unknowledgeable of protocol , standard operating procedures or completely apathetic. This should be investigated to the fullest extent, and appropriate action should be taken. I certainly hope the afore mention actions, do not reflect the overall mission of Autumn Care of Fayetteville. Many thanks,Lamar B. Perkins
Shymaine Baines: Please do not send your love one to Autumn Care. My dad shared with me how mean and unprofessional some of the staff treated him. I gave a one star only because it was two staff members that treated him with respect and dignity. He was there a little over a month, and it was a miserable time for him. They would sometimes keep his phone and call bell out of his reach. He was supposed to get rehab but they didn't follow through with it. Thank God we took him out of there. When he came home we noticed he had sores on him.
Lala Olguin: DO NOT have your loved one taken to this facility. When it's time to discharge from their facility & if you don't have the necessary assistive devices (in this instance, we needed a ramp), can't afford to provide it, they will refuse to discharge, keep your family member, charge you per day, then tell you they will call Adult Protective Services despite having family with a safe environment for them to go home to. The social worker lacks in her ability to provide resources, information, & education. This is not a way to treat patients or their families!
