Susan Dillon: I have tried to get an answer as to whether or not assistance is available for eye surgery since 3/21/19. I talked with William Scott, secretary, who said he would present this to the club at their meeting that night and that I could expect a call from the treasurer, Jerry Scott, within a few days. As of today, 4/22/19, I have not gotten a call from jerry scott. I have tried calling William Scott again, left a message asking him to give me a call. I have gotten no return call as of today, with an answer one way or the other. My husband has contributed to the lions club several times through their golf tournaments. Don't think he's going to do that anymore. .. I noticed the lions club post in January re: their oyster event with money going to help the visually impaired? When I asked William what the guidelines/qualifications were for consideration, he said there weren't any. Two organizations and my opthamologist's office said to check with the Lion's Club for assistance. Well I have and I'm not impressed!
