Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeast North Carolina (SHFB): what do users think?
Saundra Blackmon: Doing God's work 🙏🏽
JULIE DARLENE FULLWOOD: Awesome
Barbara Mckoy: Helps out when you're running low on food.
Erin Ray: Apparently a horrible place to volunteer. A paid employee refused to help with the volunteers. Other paid employees stood around and did nothing while the volunteers did more work in two hours than the paid employees did all day. Seems they need employees, not volunteers. Go volunteer somewhere else where you will be appreciated.
Veronica Affleck: I volunteered here and It felt good to give back to the community. I highly recommend volunteering
Jordana Leggett: People were very kind and helpful. Ty I appreciate all you all do.
Dr. Lin Wheeler: Our students were able to volunteer at the food bank and earned some great community service hours by packing over 300 boxes and 8 pallets of food for needy senior citizens.
Ty Evans: I came here this morning and could not believe the way they treat you here. The attitude towards me was so unprofessional from the yt lady, I think her name was Linda. She didn't look at me as she barked, this is only a one time thing here, as she scurried to the back. I'm guessing you're not allowed to go get what you need, because she just left me standing up front. She returns with a box full of dented cans, peanut butter, which my grandson is deathly allergic too. She never asked how many people were in my household, she just threw some stuff in a box, and opened the door for me to leave. Going thru this box, so much that could not be eaten, the peanut butter for one, canned meat, the mac and cheese, the energy bars with nuts. I was so livid! at least ask is there anyone with any nut allergies before shoving anything in a box. People come here, they are already hurt, broken and humiliated, and may have a bit of shame, then get there to this place to be kicked while you're already down is unbelievable. No compassion was shown, just the most unprofessional place to go to, Thank God for healing so I can return back to work, cooperate really needs to fire them all, and start with people who care and have a heart for people that are already in a tuff situation. Hire people that know how it feels to be on the other side of the door, that knows what its like to stand in the line for food to feed their family. Such a disappointment. The employees in the front office give this organization a bad name.
Richard: I WAS SENT FOR A JOB ON THE WAREHOUSE FLOOR, THE AFRICAN AMERICAN SUPERVISOR THERE IS EXTREMELY NASTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. AND SEEMED TO BE DISORGANIZED. TURNOVER IS VERY HIGH. I WON'T BE GIVING ANYMORE DONATIONS THAT'S FOR CERTAIN. NOT AS LONG AS HE'S THERE ANYWAY.
Nancy Credle: The food was up to date everything was fresh
Matthew Hill: Very kind people. If you are down on your luck or the inflation has hit you hard and you need a little assistance with some food this is the place to go.
Cindy Perrone: People are so full of love and wanting to help.
Bill Fonseth: Great organization. They were prompt to get the donations, the volunteer was fast and friendly. If you want to consider a tax donation, this is one place to do it.
Rebecca: They helped a friend who went on a Friday after 2:45 pm and everything else was closed. They first gave a list of places to call and try. Unfortunately all of them were closed. They told him if they couldn't get help to come back so he did. God bless them please because they helped a family with 2 little kids and just hit a rough patch. Because of the generosity of those wonderful people I am feeling to the need to volunteer at a food bank or somewhere to help as well. Thank you for helping my neighbors and the community.
flub dub: They do a great service for Eastern North Carolina.
Elaine Ray: 🖤🧡
Donald Rye: Volunteered here in celebration if my daughters birthday. This group does the hard needed work for those who are in so much need.
Darian White: This is probably one of the best places to volunteer in Fayetteville. They make it easy to become a new volunteer, and their staff are really chatty and welcoming. You’ll definitely never get bored here even if you do end up just making boxes. Be mindful of the heat, and if you’re packing boxes that you’ll be lifting A LOT. There isn’t central AC in the warehouse, just a select number of fans. Dress accordingly and make the best of it.
Jeron Chatman: It was good but they gave the meat to the wrong truck
Charles Romans: I went there to pick up food for fayetteville urban ministries. The people there had our things ready by the time we arrived. They helped us load up and off we went
Lydell Nixon: Second Harvest Food Bank have your stuff ready for pick up in five to ten minutes , Thank the work crew there , they are a blessing.

Cliffdale Food Pantry: what do users think?
Evil Empress: Great items to chose from. Beggers cant be choosers but I was really impressed with the volunteers who make this charity happen.
Anne High: Helpful
George Howard: Great People!
BG: Went to donate some food with my son. The staff working there was so nice. What a great thing they are doing there.
Tinker Bordeaux: Unorganized. Waited 3 hours to get food and they let ppl get their own stuff so at the end ppl didn't get food because of greed
D O: It's ok
Jenn C: Very nice people! The rule is you can only go once a month, and it's every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, unless there is a Holiday then they will do it the next Thursday. Go early. If you're there 10 or later, you will be there past 11 waiting for your number to be called. The later you get called up, the less there is to choose from, mostly rotten fruits and veggies are left. I'm not complaining, I'm informing. I'm grateful for what they do, every little bit helps. If it's your first time there, you have to fill out a form and you need your ID. When they call your number, they will have a box pre-filled for you, and a bag for you to put fruits and veggies in. The very sweet gentleman who drives the van and brings in/out all of the filled boxes, he will bring your box outside for you. If you drive up, he will put it in your car for you. If you are able bodied, please help these people out while you're there. If one of them drops a box, you can help pick up the contents, or help the gentleman load up the dolly, he's 73 and those boxes are heavy..loaded with lots of canned goods. You're getting free food, it'd be nice to help and let these people know they're appreciated. They also have coffee for you when you walk in if you want it.
Patricia Yvonne: They were there when my family and I were in need! I give them praises for there diligence and longsuffering spirit. They let me know that it was ok to have a need and ask for help without feeling guilty.
Jean Holman: One of the best food pantries in Fayetteville. George and Judy have such a tremendous heart to see those who are in need be very well taken care of. Everything they do is with both love and integrity.

Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch: what do users think?
Pedro Diaz: You got many great people here and they have plenty of services to help you. You only need to know one name Debbie if you truly want help she will get you in the right direction.
Jacqueline White: Ok
Asd Dsa: This a my review from someone who tried to work for them. They were hiring on indeed. I did thier online test and they wanted to see me. Had a good interview. They told me, to consider me for hiring, I would need to do volunteer work first. I said sure. They also scheduled me for a second interview. I came by on my second interview and the person in charge wasn't there. They set this time for me, and I spent time out my day to come by for them to not appear. I told the lady at the front iwas there for an interview and another person came to the door and told me they would tell them. Well, I messaged the manager Nd called 3 times. Left messages. Came by once. What happened? Why is no one telling me what is wrong or going on? They might do good for the community butTrying to work for them is a nightmare.
Michael Davenport: Very very helpful. Much needed for assistance. Great breakfast everyday
Cecy Piemonte: An amazing group led by Pastor Craig. Everyone complains about homelessness, but few do much to help. FAOIAM serves breakfast, provides showers, medical attention, mail, laundry, and opportunities for jobs and homes for men willing to put in the work.Volunteering with them is so great! There are so many ways to help; from washing dishes and cooking, to watching over shower lines, handing out items, dropping off items. Monetary donations are always great, too.
Mark Yockey: Awesome place
Pamela Evans: Please take advantage of the opportunity to assist others in their time of need‼️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽I am grateful to be able to volunteer in my community often❤
Bettie Shelly: Love it
Laura Kane: WONDERFUL organization. I volunteer there often.
Evan Amo: Though I am an atheist, this place really is doing "the lord's work." I had the honor of serving in their kitchen, and the work they do for the less fortunate of Fayetteville is truly inspiring.
micah cox: It's some people here that are willing to help you get on your feet, of you're willing to put in the work
Scott B: Serving the community, all of it!
Julia Provencial: Google eyes for secret shoppers
Blaise Malveau: I haven't been there lately.
James BeltonIII: I love to serve
Danielle Hotep: Worst place ever. They don't help anyone. They use people to try and look good
WYD store reviews: Great place for counseling
Supreme Truth: Helps the homeless and less fortunate in various ways. One may be able to volunteer here.
Jacky Klasky: They really try to help
JON FARMER: Great Christian based organization and helped me out when I was in need to direct me to the resources that helped me get on my feet again.
Shon Fults: Thankful and greatful for the breakfast they provide. Downside is they are judgemental against mistakes in the past when it comes to getting into their men's lodge.

The Salvation Army Shelter: what do users think?
The Real Emmett Till 5.0: As a veteran, not a local bum veteran. I give this dump 5 ZEROS. The food, which I'm blessed not to have to eat, is worse than jail food. DISGUSTING. I didn't sleep in the 'veterans room' because open drug use & homosexuality was visible. Then the Black Women Staff: IGNORANT. UNEDUCATED. GHETTO. HOODRATS.Impossible to avoid them. They will stalk you to provoke an argument to put you out at the gate. They don't enforce the rules of the shelter: loitering drug use open air drug sales disruptions cleaning showers. When the actual Salvation Army was involved it was a more productive positive environment for short time residents. Now it's full of crackheads.
Kevin Wold: I’m at the Fayetteville NC shelter and this place is run by unprofessional people that have no business being in management. Today is Easter Sunday and we have been kicked out of the shelter because the management is having a hissy fit so now we are on n the street with nothing open, the buses aren’t running and the bus station is closed and the library is also closed. I got stranded in this town and don’t know anyone here so I’m sitting outside on the sidewalk waiting until 3 pm when they will let us back in,I’m a veteran and like other veterans we have the worst room in the male wing that’s right down the hall from the main entrance. For some reason all the women gather there and argue with each other with their voices being carried like in a cathedral hall and doors are being slammed all night long and there’s no peace and quiet for us. None of us want to be here but we have no choice at this time and we are looking for other places to stay. They have hired a former resident that should not have been hired because she’s not doing well and it seems she hasn’t learned anything from living here. This is what I see happening here and I will never recommend anyone to stay here.
Supreme Truth: Serves dinner 7 evenings a week from 5pm til like 6pm
Joseph “Suzuki/Zasa” Sustakoski: Doing what they can...
Bridget Richard: Giving back to the community is fulfilling experience.
benjamin vasquez: Support them... they work so hard for us 🙏🤗
Tiljuana w: It was okay I went with some one there helping a friend but i really didn't like the fact that they turn people away if you have no shoes to wear or proper shoes to wear !!!!!!! you can only get a bag lunch you can't eat with others i mean what if you can't afford shoes which some people can't this is ridiculous!!!!!!😤
Julia Provencial: I needed the food pantry
Lee Glover: Had 2 pallets (140 boxes) of salads left on my trailer..called this location and they saved my day..took every single box for me (even though I had to unload em lol) THANX
kj “TEKEYA” allen: Wanna volunteer her but have no idea how , pulled up a couple if weeks ago , sat saw the Kids go 2 school on the bus , & had no interaction w/any residents6 nor employees
Keith Antoine: Looking for work out equipment
Shon Fults: Always GREAT FOOD, friendly people. And the main cook is the coolest dude!
Michele Runge (KITTY): I have no clue. Never received help. Called over a dozen times. Never got help. Showed up on one of the coldest nights ever, not knowing about the white flag ordeal and we rang the bell numurous times and no one ever answered. Stayed in 25° weather on the concrete with one blanket. About froze. Have frostbite on face still. We are grateful to be alive. Flaw in whole system. Every place we turned for help wanted my Fiance & I to seperate into place, if they had room, yet he takes care of me and has for many years. I am on SSI disability and fell on hard times due to our last rental management company Not fixing a severe roof leak and mold growth. Had to move fast and unexpectedly. We need more resources for the homeless!
Mary Ann Finias: Great people and fast service Helped me SO MUCH THANK YOU
LATISHA MEEKINS: Always a pleasure
Peggy T: The programs I’ve used have been good so far & very helpful during our time of need. The thing that shocked me was the intake to asking me what were my disabilities, I asked her why & she stated b/c it asked on the computer.... Ppl U don’t have to answer your specific Disabilities to individuals majority of the time. I’m hoping another individual doesn’t get asked this question. I did let the man know that I wasn’t offended but it shouldn’t been asked!
Ty Pete: Salvation Army is a scam they don't help they make your life more miserable than it is especially the one on southern avenue the little old Caucasian lady with the short hair is the worst her attitude and the way she lies one of my friends went there to get assistance with light bill because roommate had left him hanging she stated he needed his name on the bill to get paid or get put in his name so he went to pwc and light company they said that lights could not be put in his name but his name could be on bill so he took it back same day and the same old short hair Caucasian lady said uh no his name has to be removed she just added insult to injury she was rude and disrespectful my friends are hard working people just have hard ships right now. It is sad I'm going to take this further pray for the ones who sits and make decisions off a person looks and not what they are experiencing
