Helen Brown: We came in and ordered fried pickles as an appetizer and drinks. We had two young boys with us and while the waitress said she would bring back crayons, she never returned with them. My husband never received his beer and had to go to the bar to get it. We were then double charged for that beer. I ordered a black and blue burger medium. It was lukewarm, overcooked, had no onions or Mayo as described. I would have sent it back but waited an hour for the first one and was afraid it would take as long. Our food came out sporadically and my husband was almost finished with his food when some of the other plates came out. One child received his food and the other had to wait ten additional minutes for his grilled cheese sandwich. We had to go to the bar and ask for silverware. I would not recommend. Yes, 6 pm on Saturday.

Doris Tobar: Mushroom Swiss burger was perfect!! It was just the best hamburger I have had in a long time. Thick, yet so juicy in the middle!! Portion was big. You could cut it in half and make two meals out of it. It was $13 bucks and worth more! I had the tots with it and they were crispy and done just right as well. The sweet tea was the best in town so far. It even beat chic filet's! Service was right on. There was a new girl but it's ok, she asked questions until she understood. There are tv's here and a bar, so you won't miss any games.The atmosphere was laid back. My family and I will be going back OFTEN!!

Christina Kidd: The food has been decent every time we've eaten there. But we've ordered to go multiple times and they give us a time frame and they never meet that time. Ever. It's been over 3x the time they said, and so we are waiting around for our food. The restaurant is mostly empty besides the bar so there is no reason for this insane delay. Normally, I give places the benefit of the doubt but this has happened at least 4 times. We will never order food from them again.

John Jingle: I strongly like the bar and the location, however, last time I was there the bartender was obviously strong out of her mind. It took her five minutes to greet me in my group and it wasn’t even busy. Love the pool tables and the atmosphere that surrounds this environment. As I was leaving I took other bartenders to ask me what me and my group needed, the original bartender didn’t even bring us up for anything.

TK Cloonan: 1st dinner out on the town...east of Hays St. Packed seating outside but inside was no wait. Sat down and perused the menu. Settlers requested. Meals arrived hot and fresh. Trout was upside down and atop mashed ? potatoes. Drink-master visited our table and explained orders. Cordial employees...and rotating tabletop fan devices for the high fly nights outside. Had a nice time and had not been here in this downtown area since I was a ROTC cadet at advance camp.

Chef Bill created combinations of flavors that enhanced every dish. Everything was made in-house and there was great attention to detail. Hannah, our waitress, was not only friendly but also attentive; we would request her again. We highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

Get there early, they have a line forming before they open, or else be prepared to wait a little while. Inside and outside seating with street view. I ordered the brunch tacos which sounds and looks great, but sadly they fall apart as you try to eat them which makes a mess and the plate is too small to catch any falling food. We were given complimentary muffins with the meal. I wanted to try a variety of food to really see what is the hype of this place. This place is a quaint and relaxing place to go to but it does fill up quickly. There is about 10 tables and seating is available outside. We were greeted by someone at the door with a friendly smile. The ambiance was welcoming. Please refer to the pictures as I don’t know what exactly we ordered. I wasn’t impressed by the food. I asked my kids how did they enjoyed their food and they weren’t impressed either. Everything seemed overcooked, oily, and/or overly salted. They did provide us with some mini muffins free of charge before our food came. They forgot to give me my coffee and they did apologize. I would like to try this place again as several of friends have said that this place has different menus. It might’ve just been an off day. Place is a bit pricy as we spent almost $90 for the 3 of us for breakfast. I’m glad I’ve tried it and will give this place another try one day.

Langley Jimenez: Sat at bar area which smelled strongly of cat litter. Bar area and bathroom area were both unclean and in need of an upgrade. You can still keep the historic charm of an establishment and maintain cleanliness levels. Host staff was great. Bar staff was ok. Food was ok. Beer I got tasted like dirty tap lines. Also there were 2 bartenders and a big lined up group who was instructed to only order from one of them on one end of the (mostly empty) bar. Seems like management could use some training and bar could use a refresh.

Larry White: My Masonic organization had a horrible experience at Huske on 6/18/2023. We booked a reservation (Paid a $50.00 deposit) a month ago for 30-50 ppl. Upon arrival after a Masonic church event (men in black suits, ladies in all white dresses) we were told to wait outside in the heat. Instead we sat inside like everyone else waiting to be seated. We were then told that we would be seated outside to dine. Even though there were at least 15-20 open tables on the inside both up stairs and down stairs. When I asked the manager "Trevor" about all the empty tables inside, he stated that " The band was setting up and there was a Woodpeckers baseball going on and some of the fans might come and will need those seats". My response: "We're here now and you want us to be seated outside because the fans from the game might stop by and want to sit inside"? Trevor's response: Yes. My party and I (All African Americans) were shocked and left immediately. We refused to patronage a restaurant where we weren't welcomed. I was later told by a member of this party that a similar incident had occurred previously so, there's a pattern! The events of today at Huske Hardware definitely had a racial undertone. If you're a person of color, I would think twice about dining here!
