4worldlovers: Hi, My name is Jeff Swanson and I offer private guitar lessons in Greensboro, NC. I’ve been teaching Guitar professionally in the Greensboro area for over 30 years. Students range from beginner to advanced, all ages, and covering many different styles…including Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Country, etc. All lessons are personalized for the student and relevant to the style the student wants to pursue.

Lessons are given in a quiet and comfortable environment. My teaching studio is located in the Old Irving Park area of Greensboro, at 1515 W. Cornwallis Dr. Suite G-109.

For someone just starting out, we’ll work on building a solid foundation for playing the guitar. Examples: exercises for building up finger strength and coordination, basic chords, scales and reading tablature. An introduction to music theory. We’ll also work on creating good habits and practice discipline.

I am highly passionate about helping others develop as artists. It is my goal to help you learn how to express yourself through the act of creating music. We will focus on technique, theory, composition and whatever inspires you most!

I individualize lesson plans based on the learning style and goals of the particular student. I offer a printable E-Book for beginner students to help understand basic concepts. After completing the book we will learn songs within the preferred genre for the student. For more advanced students, I offer lessons focusing on improvisation techniques, songwriting analysis, recording and music production.

You can meet with me online using Zoom, from anywhere in the world, or we can meet in-person at my studio in Greensboro, NC. With over 15 years of teaching experience, I am confident that we can get you closer to your musical goals in a way that's fun and engaging!

Eric Moran was an excellent guitar teacher for my daughter. She started lessons while still in elementary school, having decided the violin was not for her.
