Dedicated on Sept. 14, 2002, this privately-funded monument honors veterans past and present who served our nation. More than 400 personalized paver bricks honor members of the Army, Air Fore, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marines who wore the uniforms of our country and defended our freedoms.

The Guilford County Veterans’ Memorial is sustained through the purchase of personalized bricks, and generous tax-deductible donations of people who want to honor our service members. Bricks cost $250 and are tax deductible under this 501(c)(3) project. They are placed approximately two months after purchase.

Each brick is photographed, and can be searched and viewed on line through our searchable database.

The Servant Center’s Disability Specialists assist clients who are un- and under-insured to apply for SSI and/or SSDI benefits. We also provide specialized assistance through the SOAR (SSI/SSDI, Outreach, Access and Recovery) program to individuals experiencing homelessness. Before we help our SOAR clients apply for benefits, we work with them, as well as their medical and social services providers, to establish needed medical and functional evidence to substantially increase their chance of approval.
