This is a phenomenal facility! My son has autism and this was his first visit to a dentist. The staff were so patient and introduced him to every item they would be using for the cleaning. Dr. Hisaw is originally from Washington State and has been successfully treating children since 2001, when he graduated with honors from dental school in Oregon. In 2008 he completed his pediatric dental residency in Dallas, Texas at Baylor, which is known for its highly regarded specialty program in pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Hisaw is a two-time national award winning pediatric dentist. He was presented with two awards by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry for scoring first in the nation for his Oral Board Certification exam in 2010 and for achieving a top 3% national score for his written exam in 2008. The research he completed at Baylor was published in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and he has also lectured and taught both pediatric dentists and family dentists in several states.

Dr. Hisaw has been happily married to Ruthie for over twenty years, and raising their four children together is the joy of their lives. When not coaching soccer, basketball, or going to his daughter’s ballet practices, he also enjoys hiking, reading biographies and eating sushi with friends and family.

Dr. Hisaw's favorite part about raising his family in North Carolina is without question all the friendly people and the southern hospitality. And after living in Alaska for three years, he also thoroughly enjoys the warm winter months and the year round outdoor activities.

Dr. Hisaw and his family are actively involved in their local church and the community of Greensboro where they live. Dr. Hisaw also has interest in continued participation in short-term Christian medical/dental mission trips.
