David Henderson: Cecil and his crew just took down the house across the street and the one next to us. Though it was sad to see the houses go, he and his workers were friendly, courteous and left the lots and the streets clean. I saw another reviewer say something about the noise and I had to shake my head. I don't think you can demolish a house quietly. Cecil seems to be an honest, hardworking guy.
Edward Altherr: I agree with several of the other reviewers of this business and its owner- Cecil Holcomb, about who he is as a person and his character, and how this would affect my decision to never hire him, and possibly to not do any business with whoever hires him. Mr. Holcomb was recently hired by Loyd builders to take down a home next to mine. Last week, I had calmly informed him and also Mr. Loyd of the Town of Cary's noise ordinances (specifically, no construction work/noise after 6 pm),and at this first interaction, Mr. Holcomb appeared to be cordial and understood. Then, yesterday (June 5, 2019), he was continuing to operate his very loud backhoe digging equipment after 6 pm. I calmly walked next door once again, to ask him to stop and abide by the town's noise ordinance. I am so thankful that my 10 year son and other children were not out there because the amount of swearing and cussing he spewed at me was truly uncalled for and likely the worst anyone has spoken to me in my life. Really, that bad. Thankfully, in the triangle, NC area, there are a lot of other demolition companies to choose from, and not or never, Cecil Holcomb Demolition. Further, one may not want to work for him since there are 2 reviews in his review history that appear to be from an employee (B. Brown) where one is really bad, then another is really good suggesting that Mr. Holcomb is questionable at best with his work practices and ethics where he may not pay his people or then makes them place a positive fake review.

Jenny Jones: Good Workers, horrible owner. So our house burned down and we waited over a month for this company to finally come out. The first restoration company said "They stopped returning calls" when asked when they would come by to demolish and when we changed restoration companies Holcumb pretty much came up with any reason he could think of to not do the job, one day it was cloudy and he said he couldn't work because it rained the night before.Today I went to get my mail and started talking to one of his workers about saving one of my trees, Cecil flips out and starts yelling at me telling me who I can and can't talk to. I told him it was my property and I will talk to whoever I want. He starts yelling that his workers don't know anything about anything. I said "we were talking about a tree".His workers throughout the process were very nice and professional but he is just a grumpy old man. He is very lucky that apparently there are not many "licensed" demolition companies in the area. I imagine he would be out of business quickly if he had any competition. Amazing that someone that charges $13,000 for a service feels the ability to yell at his customers. Business must be good.
