Trusting Heart Blood Center: what do users think?
rachel bailey: Very beautiful facility and competent staff. I think this location has since closed as of jan 2023 because you can no longer schedule appts online.
Justin Dillree: I had an appointment scheduled in early January, but it was canceled and I was told that "...the centers are closed." I just saw a review from someone who was at an appointment on 1/20/23??My last two December donations were canceled unexpectedly. In January the center closed completely with no explanation. Why? It is very unsettling that they closed in this way. There seem to be two other locations, in very different parts of the country, but I am unable to ascertain whether they are actually open because all online information says every location is open.
Chuck Schmidt: UPDATE 1/25/2023: It seems like they may have gone out of business as the place is locked up tight and everyone who worked there found other work. What a shame! Good place until they appeared to go belly up.I love this place and it’s convenience! The rewards are way better than the local non-profit competitors. They are also very safe, but you need to understand the process. I am going to write it here for all to read:1. You do a pre-screen. You can call them BEFORE you go to see if you might fail their donor criteria. It may save you a trip. You will not be donating platelets on the day of your pre screen; deal with it as it’s part of their safety protocol.2. After the pre screen it may be a few weeks before you actually can donate.3. As of today you can only donate platelets with their service. You can do this every 2 weeks. The more you donate the more money you’ll earn per donation. They pay you by recharging a debit card they will give you. That debit card will charge you 1.50$ to pull your money out. That’s the system, no biggie as you’re not doing this for the money, right?!?!? If you pull it out every 2-3 donations, the fee is minimal.3a. Expect the pre-screen to take 15 minutes each time you go and the donation will take about an hour and a half to two hours. You can ask for a single arm donation or a double arm donation. That’s your choice! I like single arm so I can work and attend conference calls and do cell phone stuff while I’m there (it’s really quiet and serene and easy to work). I’ve fallen asleep a few times too….4. It’s really comfortable there and the staff are very nice. Snacks are great and it’s a very pleasant environment. This is far better than the competition and if you ask, you’ll find the folks that work there all came from the competitors and TH is a welcome change for all.I couldn’t recommend them more highly. Just set your expectations BEFORE you go. So do the right thing and help where it’s needed while giving your wallet a little boost…. ;-)
Alexie Becerra: Any updates on why this location is shut down? And when or if it's going to reopen?
Aliashia Mayo: It was good the two times I did go but on my 3rd return they cancelled on me and I hav not yet spoken to anyone
Marguerite Alley: Got there 5 min early for an 11:30 appointment on 1/20/23 after driving 20 miles across town to get there. Rang the bell several times and no one came. Tried to call but no one picked up and the hold system seemed broken. I waited for 45 min with several other people who had appointments scheduled but eventually we all gave up. Waste of time 🙄
Melissa Hodges: They have a secure entrance...door is locked until you confirm appointment, so no one can just walk in. Staff is very friendly and look like they truly enjoy their jobs. Very modern decor. All aseptic procedures are followed. They immediately pay you for a successful screening and donation.
Danny Dumpleton: One of the worst places I have ever been, no consideration for other people or their time. I walk in and barely get acknowledged by the receptionist. I constantly see the employees converging around the front desk to gossip, but are not helping any of the patients waiting. When i’m finally called in for my screening (25 minutes late from my appointment), ALYSSA gives me lots of attitude and barely acknowledged me. She is constantly scrolling through her apple watch and CONSTANTLY leaving the room for no reason for long periods of time. In my frustration with this horrible customer service, my temperature rises and I am sent home because my forehead became too hot. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with customer service—ALYSSA deserves to be fired, and this whole store needs to be under new management.
Megan McInerney: Extremely long wait times when they promised only 30 minutes. If time not in issue you will be fine. But if you have responsibilities they don’t work with you. If you scroll down you will see this in common. It is beyond frustrating when people aren’t considerate of peoples time when you were trying to be a donor. I have been volunteering all day and I do what I can to help.
Jenell: Some of the best staff I've ever encountered, everyone here is so nice, friendly, and helpful.
Cristal: Went to go donate. I qualified during the first screening. It Took over a month for them to call me to do my first donation only to be in the chair and half way done to be told I no longer qualified. No explanation given. They ended up cutting it and also told I wouldn’t be compensated for my time…
Sonya Weavil: Everyone is great. The facility is very clean. They are friendly and do return communication. Ive been going here for a few months and am very happy. I had a reaction once and they were on point and handled everything professionally. The negative reviews on here seem to be from people who had disqualifying conditions. There are disqualifying conditions that are health, medication, and safety based. I suggest reading through their website before your initial visit. The screening is semi-time consuming but exactly as described in the pre-visit literature. The donation appointments are predictable, on time, and efficient. The time required for screening and donations are accurately described on their web page. The compensation is a very nice perk. Highly recommended.
Diana Jimenez: No regard for other peoples time. I drove 30 minutes to wait for 40 minutes after my appointment to be told I wasn’t able to donate due to having an additional protein. They called twice, emailed once, I called and left a message. They didn’t call back. I understand they can’t provide specific information on the phone, but they can at least say “please don’t come to your appointment, but you can call our office for additional information”, since they don’t return voicemails or answer their main line. Waster an hour and forty minutes of my day that could have easily been prevented. Please be more considerate of peoples time in the future. Will not be recommending this facility to others.
David Linkous: Great staff. Very friendly. Doing what I can to help the needy.
Steve Goulet: Avoid this "for profit" blood center! I recently received a solicitation from Trusting Heart Blood Center to come in for a pre-screen for platelet donation. With this solicitation came a promise for $65. I drove 22 miles across the Triangle for a midday appointment. After waiting 15 minutes in the lobby, I was taken back to screening room. I completed the usual questionnaire asking about medical history and other questions. Due to a 3 month stay in Scotland in 1987, I was not eligible to donate blood. Note: the FDA recently lifted this restriction and most other blood donation facilities now allow donation if you had an extended UK visit. After finishing up the paperwork, the attendant informed me that because I did not "complete" the screen, i.e., I was ineligible to donate, I would not receive the incentive. This is after receiving countless emails and text messages asking me to come in for a pre-screen.This is a bit of a bait and switch and questionable business practice. I took 3 hours out of my day to visit the facility and they did follow through on their promise. While I don't donate blood because of financial incentives, this is clearly troubling that they don't follow through on their incentive.Avoid this "for profit" blood donation facility and seek out local not-for-profit facilities instead.
bigbrinn: Very clean and nice looking facility. The staff is always very courteous and professional. The compensation is solid. I continue to donate there. The only downside is you may not get called to the actual donation chair 30 minutes to an hour after your scheduled time. Not a deal breaker but does force you to plan extra time accordingly.
Abby Rowe: A phlebotomist stuck me in two different places on my arm with the same needle. Pretty sure that is not supposed to happen.
A. Torabi: Overall, positive all around.
Faith: Clean and comfortable place. Pre screening took less than 30 min and staff was very helpful.
Michael Funk: Staff is amazing. Smiles and laughter all over the place making the whole donation process very pleasant.
Carolina Martinez: They emailed me so many times to go in for a screening and I did then they said I have to wait like a month?? I go back a month later and they never call me with my results, I MYSELF had to call them and then they said oh sorry you’re not eligible…feel free to send people our way for money though. Lol I think not. They even emailed saying I can schedule my first donation but apparently “our system automatically sends emails” . Anyways I was excited for them to open because they’re right by where I live only for them to treat me the way they did is so disappointing. Only one girl there was friendly the others were unfriendly. I never felt welcomed.

One Blood Donation Center: what do users think?
Adam Smith: as a trans guy i get really nervous about doing anything medical related because my legal name is still my dead name. i walked into the blood connection feeling nervous, but izzy understood right away and asked if there was another name i go by. no deadnaming or misgendering at this establishment (at least for me today). can’t stress enough how validating this was. and seeing as i have to give blood regularly going forward, i am really glad this place exists and that i don’t have to dread it anymore :) thanks izzy and everyone else at the blood connection!
Mason Hayes: Not sure why there are negative reviews here! The staff is extremely friendly and caring, even when busy. I was one of the people that got super lightheaded and sweaty during my first donation, and they were on it with helping me through. I'll be back soon.
Han Stw: Donated here multiple times already. The Blood Connection facility has always been clean and that the staff members are always helpful and friendly. I have never had to wait longer than 5-10 mins before being processed, although always make an appointment beforehand to be safe. Comfortable donation chair as well. Definitely recommended!
Lindsay M.: I donated for the first time here last year and have come back to this location every time. I appreciate that you get gift cards for your time and donation. Staff is always nice and friendly.
Angel Caraballo: They overwork their employees and is a terrible place to work at. They get no breaks and work 7 days a week before they even get a singular day off. Terrible people in general
Notary_NC: Was a 5 star the first time donating blood. The 2nd time my experience was a 1 star. I was given a tech who only tried once to get my blood and then said that I needed to drink more water. Also took my BP with wrong size cuff then changed to the right size. I have always been able to give blood. Went back next day to another location and the same tech was there. She was quick to tell me I had to wait two months to give blood as the day before counted as a donation when no blood (due to her only trying once and possibly not skilled) was taken. Will go elsewhere next time.
Kyle Bolton: Major staffing issues.
Ellie Kitchin: Do NOT schedule an appointment with them unless you are willing to spend 3x the amount of time you anticipated. Today I stood in the rain at a mobile donation site for over an hour past my appointment only to be told that they had overbooked and it would be another 45 minutes before I could even come inside. This is the third time I have had to wait over an hour past my appointment time. Don't bother donating unless you are willing to waste a few hours sitting around before they even draw blood.
Samantha Casey: Donated in the mobile drives and at the center a bunch of times. I usually go late in the day so it's not too crowded. The employees are always nice and everything is very clean. Music is bangin. I had a weird experience once where I may not have eaten enough before coming or something because I almost passed out. I was too embarrassed to say anything but when the tech came over to check on me he immediately noticed I was definitely NOT okay. Everyone responded promptly and had me feeling better in no time. They got a great system.
Scott Martin: They will screw you out of your rewards the first chance they get so make sure if they offer you something make sure you keep the email and that you collected immediately don't rely on them to not screw you. They are offering you $20 or $25 and then turn around and sell the blood for 200 to 300 dollars."Blood transfusions can cost a lot.A unit of blood usually costs about $200 to $300. There are added costs for storage and processing, as well as hospital and equipment fees."Gift cards are not supposed to ever expire but look at the fine print they don't actually give you a gift card so they can screw you every March.
Annabelle Hollen: Friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful facility. Looking forward to donating again!
Chemika Rhodes: Horrible management! I could never donate here based on how they treat their employees.
Eric Woodruff: Tried to donate blood via mobile bus. Over booked and under staffed.I’ve read their community center is better, do not recommend trying to donate blood during work day… will be a waste of your time, unfortunately
Ebru Selcuk: My husband donated blood in one of the Blood Connection buses on 6/20/2022 in front of Kohl's in Apex. Ladies that took his blood was so rude. Next day of giving blood he was feeling very weak. We thought it was from giving blood but it turned of to be Covid. We couldn't have gotten it from anywhere else since we have limited connection and we are extremely careful. All family got sick. We had vacation planned for the week after and all went down the drain no thanks to them. I DO NOT recommend giving blood here.
Jennifer Griffin: I've donated at the main donation center on Glenwood many times, and the staff are always great. The main location also moves people through faster than the blood mobiles. I will continue to donate here.
Carly Sciandra Williams: I started out donating blood in the mobile centers becasue it was more convenient, but not the centers are more convenient and SO nice! The staff is super friendly and always making donating blood fun. From the check in progress to the snacks at the end, TBC makes donating blood a breeze. I look forward to donating as often as I can!
Emily Starritt: Worst experience donating blood ever. Waited over an hour for my scheduled time. I have a huge vein on my right arm. The tech even mentioned it was a great vein. After she inserted the needle and hooked up the tubes my blood only flowed a little bit and then stopped all together. She left to work on other donors and left me with a tight Turnicate on. I made eye contact with the other tech who was checking people in, so she came over and the original tech said, it’s not working. Well the more experienced tech mentioned a tube wasn’t clamped off. After she adjusted the blood started flowing. After a couple minutes an error code of low blood flow occurred and kept doing that for the next few minutes until the 2nd tech came over and told me that the needle was inserted at an almost perpendicular angle to the vein and she was going to have to pull it. At this point she’s looking around for the original tech who just abandoned ship with me and 2 other people hooked to bags draining. Almost 3/4 bag they had to toss. I felt bad for the experienced tech and could tell she was embarrassed. She did apologize. But this should NEVER happen on a donor truck. I have a huge hole in my arm where the needle tore it bc of bad angle and pressure from bag hanging. Will NEVEr donate with them again. Maybe never again because this has been such a bad and traumatic experience. So disappointed.
Carla Portella: I was super excited to donate blood in one of their trucks last Saturday, in Cary! I did my appointment, filled it up all the forms, and waited about one hour for the blood pressure machines to stop working on my turn… 😞 They didn’t have a manual one to take my pressure and without that number they didn’t let me to donate it! Felt very frustrated, such a bad experience on my first time “trying” to donate! They should be more organized… Also just 2 people working with many donors, very slow service!
Colin Miller: Great experience. So much better than Red Cross.
Jamie Eaton: I just had to come to give a review of this place. I've become a regular donor at this location in 2021 and I've had a positive experience every time. I always feel like my time is appreciated and that my specific donation is valuable. But my most recent visit really takes the cake in examples of how this particular center's staff goes above and beyond.I gave platelets on Christmas Day. Danielle, my phlebotomist, was kind and caring from the start. She checked on me every few minutes and addressed every single one of my needs. When I expressed discomfort, Danielle helped me move my arm so it felt better. I was eligible to give a triple donation that day, but she assured me that a double would be more than enough and I could stop if I was really uncomfortable. I never felt pressured to do more than I felt capable of doing. However, after my donation came the dramatic turn of events. I was able to get off the table fine and made my way to the reception area for some refreshments. By the time I got there, something went horribly awry and I began to feel like I was about to faint. Danielle and the rest of the staff ( I wish I could acknowledge each of you by name but if you were at TBC Glenwood Raleigh on 12/25/21 around 2:30 PM you know who you are and I appreciate each of you!) acted incredibly quickly to help me. They got me back to a table, with my feet elevated, cooling down and with snacks to restore my blood sugar within a minute. Not once during this part of my experience was I made to feel like an inconvenience or a burden. I was treated excellently and because of this, I will give blood again.... just maybe not so much and won't get up so quickly!
James “Jay” Papanestor: Single arm donation for platelets. Noisy machine but worth it. Good snacks. Friendly staff.

Octapharma Plasma: what do users think?
Teresa Conley: This place has a rude female employee that is very heavy set that told my young teen daughter to leave the building only donors allowed in the building and knowing her Dad is a fall risk and he gets hurt this place will be suied.Other people were in there waiting for their people they brought there.Color of my skin must have something to do with it.🙁
Sean Byrd: Management discriminated against me because I carry a fold out chair and a way to do my business, shopping, while I am out because I am disabled. Insisted I take it out of the building, immediately, as if it were dangerous. I will not be harassed by a person half my age and was told it was posted No cases when it wasn't. Lying is one thing. Harassment another. Can't help anything that doesn't want help.
Christopher Ruffin: Great
Ed Deforge: clean facility and professional and friendly staff
Nisha Mitchell: Medical Screeners & Phlebotomists are great here 💕 Management has lots of room for improvement 🏾
Dawn Gardner: Great experience.friendly.clean
Tina Woods: Clean efficient friendly and organized!! Makes donating easy.
Shahidah Stanback: I been donating for a couple of weeks now. Very good place to come to . The staff is friendly and warm. Big Rob is good person to go to when you register. He is friendly and kind, and the stick doesn't hurt . I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to start donating.
Paul James: The staff are incredibly petty and unprofessional. Service is terrible. I would never recommend anyone go there! There is another facility, CSL Plasma nearby who are far, far better..please don't waste your time here....
Michelle Izaguirre: Staff is so nice and the place is so clean.
Johnnie Thomas: The staff is professional and pleasant to have to deal with
Tyree Sanders: Great staff
Maryie: I couldn't donate because they don't have a translation service. I wasted almost 3 hours before they finally told me that because I didn't understand what they were saying, I couldn't donate.
Jim James: Decent laid-back staff place is clean and sociable ...I recommend
Randall Barefoot: Good
Annie Q: Very quick and easy. There were plenty of workers screening. This makes a big difference!
Selina Garcia: Very rushful and unprofessional! Made me very uncomfortable with the make that did my physical and was deferred for no reason!
Khabir Mujahid: It’s always been a pleasant experience. The staff explained everything well, and it’s been quick and easy.
Derrick Jones: Great 👌
AndieGlam TV: My first time donating ever at this center and it was a great process, they get you in and out very quickly (unless it’s your first day). Everyone who works at the service desks are very nice and very knowledgeable! You can ask them anything health related and they can answer it. It’s a great atmosphere to be in, my only thing is the people actually taking care of you (who stick you and collect the plasma) always seem to look like they don’t want to be there, and they talk extremely low. Other than that this is a great location
butterfly Butterfly diamond: I went in and before I sat down to donate it was blood in the chair they didn't wipe it up before allowing me to sit down. The guy...he was polite but he wiped up the blood with a napkin and then after.. he started to handle the machine and all with the same gloves he wiped the blood up with. He did not change the gloves until I said something. The place was dirty amd they never cleaned or wiped behind people at the desk to test ya vitals you have to ask them to wipe it. I'm never going back it's a disgrace and unsanitary they need to change gloves each time they dont and they don't clean the chairs well barley Wipes it.

CSL Plasma: what do users think?
G S: I’ve never seen any business decide they will unlock the doors when they’re ready, instead of when they say they open, until this CSL. I’ll just drive a little further to the next plasma location.
Lola: 2 days ago and today have been the worst. Too long of a line for them to have 4 rows of beds and for whatever reason they won't open the other side. What's the point of having all these beds yet somehow the workers on the floor either get sent on break or they slow down. 2 days ago, not only did the network go down for over 30 minutes they made a BIG deal about how covid it still going around. If they saw how it looks today, they'd probably be in shock. Maybe get people seen quicker, filling all the beds instead of just doing one side and stop sending people on break when you know it's busy or getting busy. Pretty ridiculous
Mcloven: Worst experience ever! I went to donate in April 2023 all bust one of the staff acted too busy talking to each other to notice that my machine had stopped working and I was trying to get ahold of them. When they did realize they avoided fixing it until they guy who was there came over by then tho the blook had clotted and he insisted that I must intake the blood back even know it had been almost 15 min and long dead! I WILL NEVER RETURN AND THERE WHOLE STAFF SHOULD BE FIRED
Matty D: Been going here for a while, its not a bad way to get extra cash. But it's a hit or miss as far as the quality of the staff, and there have been multiple days where I showed up early but one or another has made you wait for a while. The place isn't great, but it's one of the few in the area.
Joan Boggs: I was rushing to get there before it closed. Walked up to the door as the employee was locking the door and she wouldn't let me in. Only me. I drove 50 mins. to get there. Will be looking for a new donation center
Melody Heath: Had some issues today. But everyone was great 👍
Alex Dumas: If I could rate 0 stars I would this is the worst plasma center in the history of Plasma centers.....First of all they pay you the least amount of money of all the plasma centers in Raleigh for your donation and most of the time make you wait a very long time to make your donation.Secondly they have very unskilled phlebotomist inserting the needle in your arm....Most of the time causing bruising which obviously is painfull and additionally results in you not being allowed to donate until the bruises they caused have healed....At one point they messed my arm up so bad I was told I was not allowed to donate for 56 days.Lastly they have an app that tracks all your donations and gives you points towards extra money. These points I was told never expire and are always honored...I wasn't informed of this until after I'd made 4-5 hundred donations and they had technical difficulties resulting in me not being able to attain the app and retain my points for Cash...When finally getting the app up and running,it's only giving me credit for my March of 2023 donations and telling me I need 250 more points to get a whopping $10 after the manager told me I had a few thousand dollars in points stacked up prior to getting the app...This manager now refuses to honor my points and pay the money I'm entitled to after 4-5 years of being a loyal donor.
Jennifer Young: This is a great location! In my experience, no matter how busy they are, they have always been polite and patient.
Áñiyäh Smíth: Csl plasma has been the go to spot friendly atmosphere nice pay rate clean building nice staff no complaints I would recommend
Madison Geist: Nice, friendly people that listen to concerns and walk you through the process.
Travis Alston: Nice staff get the job done
Arteesa Artis: People are rude
Desmond McCleese: Smooth & easy like Sunday mornings
Juan A.: Csl continues to produce outstanding customer service. Quick, friendly and easy.
michael berman: Olivia the nurse was absolutely amazing and informative. She took her time to explain some things to me that definitely were beneficial. Not to mention she was on her 13th hour!! Her patience with patients goes without saying!! Worth more than money could provide! She deserves that Mansion in Africa!! I'll be forever greatful for my experience with her. Thanks Olivia!!!💟🙏🙌🙂
Brenden Redlawsk: Best plasma center I’ve been to! Clean, up to date facility with well trained and friendly staff. Special shout outs to both Shana & Shelby. They were both very helpful, kind, and friendly. They helped make it a good/smooth process, will absolutely return!
Travis Evans: Great people, long wait though.
Shatona Burrell: Was very unhappy, I haven't donated at csl since March of 2022 and the only reason I came back for the 1st again within the last 3 weeks was bc I received a notification about earn an extra $50 when u return. The 1st 2 donations I was suppose to receive $20 and the 3rd donation I was to receive $10. I can in 3 weeks ago and I received my 1st $20 when I walked up after my donation and showed the manager my notification on my phone and she gave me my 1st $20 with no problem. Then I came in to donate today and finished my donation, walked up to the front desk afterwards, showed my notification so I can get the 2nd $20 and the white manager who is a guy gave me a hard time for about 30 min. Argued with me and told me that I'm only gonna recieve this $20 the last time and nothing else because for some reason he couldn't understand the message I received from csl. But I think it's unfair bc I did my part , it's not like I made the notification myself. He was really unprofessional when it came to helping me and listening. And it's unfair I won't be receiving the other $10 because of their confusion.
Eris Wisdom: I've been donating here for a couple months now and I honestly think I just donate to talk to people. The employees are funny and professional (with the exception of a few funky aspirin attitudes like 1 or 2). Donating here helps me keep both my cars tanks on full, pay the internet, and funds my food habit. *shrugs*. Don't knock donating either. Smart people make money everyday and everyway. Use my name if you decide to go. We both get a bonus. Ching a Ling.
Lucas: Awesome service I would recommend to anyone .
Danny Spells: I have donated for over 30 years. This is one of the better centers. Polite friendly staff.

American Red Cross Blood Donation Center: what do users think?
Jonn Perry: I couldn't donate blood because they only have the small sleeve to check blood pressure which seems wierd because they exist to take blood donation. Not blaming them but some of the questions on the rapid survey seem redundant and many were invasive in a way that was unnecessary for accepting blood donations.
D. Raper: This location is a good, fast, and efficient place to donate blood!!!!
James Gartland: Super friendly staff
Kathy Scott: The staff is always happy. Fun environment.
Orion Harris: I really enjoyed donating at this facility. The staff is attentive and they have fun. New check-in procedures make things quick and simple. Get up and go donate! Maybe I'll see you there.

StemExpress Stem Cell Collection Center: what do users think?
David Moriarty: Stopped contacting me, left me on the hook for a debit card that charges fees for inactivity, fees for having a negative balance (which can be caused by the fees), and can be sent to collections if you don't pay the fees on it. Seems like a scam. Thankfully I was able to cancel the card but I don't know how many people would know to do that after stem express drops them. Anyway, better just play it safe and go somewhere else.
Tiberius Star: I had a lovely first experience, would definitely recommend this place. I was unable to actually have blood drawn at my initial appt because I was a tad dehydrated and my veins are always very very hard to find when having labs done. Although all of this happened the phlebotomist was extremely nice and I was still compensated for my time.
sydney dreyer: The staff is AMAZING !! They were so sweet and fun to work with! highly recommend :)
Lori Simmons: This place is absolutely amazing!! You are LITERALLY (used in the traditional sense) treated like a patient advocate, because you ARE! This company does research to help save lives, it employs wonderful staff members, reaches out to YOU for available appointments, AND the pay is great!!!! The 4 hour donation is like being paid to vacation!! A chair that will absolutely take you to zero gravity, smart tv with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime (just to name a few) to enjoy until you fall asleep under the fabulous blanket they brought. Not sleepy?! Great! Tv, snacks, and a Capri Sun are all you really need to rest and relax while you help develop medicines for everyone, escape this daily grind and get PAID!!This place is amazing and I WILL be driving 2 hours from my home to see these wonderful people, do my part, and save for Christmas!!!
Ellen Morey: My first visit here was great! Nicole is an awesome phlebotomist and as a routine blood donor I must say she was the best phlebotomist I’ve had! Will definitely be returning, thanks Nicole for a great experience!!
Linda Shackleford: I LOVE THE STAFF AT THE RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA LOCATION. THEY ARE VERY COURTEOUS, FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. THE FACILITY IS ALWAYS CLEAN AND IT'S JUST A COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT. THANK YOU ALL FOR PROVIDING A GREAT SERVICE AND FOR DOING RESEARCH IN ORDER TO FIND CURES AND SAVE LIVES.
Maria Grant: Really nice staff. Really helpful.
jeremy m: Very nice staff and great atmosphere
Pinky: Great place, I have been here a few times and I will be coming back. Highly recommend
André Cleofe: This is my second visit to this facility. The first time was about two weeks prior for their initial screening.I am impressed by the level of professionalism that they have here. The facility is very clean, and your line of sight immediately tracks to the reception desk upon opening of the elevator doors. Front desk associates are very warm and welcoming as well. The two times that I've been there, there was paperwork to be filled. It's not long, but factor that in to your visit time, if you've not done so. You're also asked to supply identification, so if you've the habit of either travelling with none or leaving it in your vehicle, please make sure that you have it on your person when you go.I imagine that when they have projects to fill, it gets quite busy. I recommend trying to get there for the earliest possible time and you'd have hardly anyone else ahead of you.Things that I like:(1) location - it is in an area of Raleigh that is really more Brier Creek than anything. Those of you familiar with the area know that (at least upon writing this review) it is a fairly new and upcoming place, far removed from any depressed areas. There is ample parking and there is a bus stop a few blocks off (I got into a discussion about block lengths and distances, and I can assure you that it's not big city like NYC length blocks)(2) professionalism - as I mentioned, they've got that covered. Clothing, mannerism, of course knowledge of what they're doing. They're quite a friendly bunch as well. I want to highlight that during my visits, those that took care of me were actual trainees for a newly opened facility (shout out to Deighton and the PA crew). This tells me that our local branch is sharing the southern charm elsewhere and successfully too.(3) compensation - it comes in an activated visa gift card. It clearly states the amount on the accompanying paper instruction. Why is this important? I've been to other facilities where the compensation may vary, and knowledge of what you're receiving isn't known until after the donation. For stemexpress, the fact that it's printed and labeled as a package means that you always get the same amount as advertised, and regardless of their need or number of studies, you'll never find yourself getting a lower amount because of lack of demand.Things that need improvement:(1) scheduling - I get that depending on the requirements, they'll either need more or less donors for certain studies. I also understand that due to the nature of the donation, it needs to stay fresh. What I'm not understanding is why find out number of donations almost belatedly? Surely these studies have a set number of needed donations, +/- useable donations and/or volunteer cancellations. I even recognize that ongoing bidding for studies may be a reason behind the abruptness of knowing how many units were needed. Couldn't there be an estimation counter, either monthly or biweekly that indicates the potential desired need that can be accessible by donors that has a set an appointment function? If we're getting nitpicky, then have a function as well that if you've not shown up in the last two times without prior notice or cancellation, then it's back to making a call to set up said appointments.(2) availability - I'm not certain of other locations, but the Raleigh one only runs M-F. Wouldn't opening on the weekends open the facility to more possible donors?(3) compensation - specifically ability to access it. Could there be a way to get the funds into a bank account? As it stands, it's purely a gift card. My concern is that these expire. What if you had participated in the higher compensation studies and then misplaced the card and you find it after it expired? Could having a means to transfer it, or even the option of having it directly deposited be studied? So, recap: good experience, but definitely room for improvement.

Talecris Plasma Resources: what do users think?
Amanda Turcotte: This place is slow and the workers rude. They refused to let me know how much they pay new donors. Told me I had to come in and go through the 3 hour 1st appointment to find out. How dumb!!
Colleen Noonan: When I first started going here over a year ago it ran smoothly. Then something happened. They can't keep staff, the turnover is horrible., They're running out of supplies and their protocol is not uniform across the board with all the employees. If there is a problem you're instruction from different employees is different. If you are supposed to get called by a doctor. That never happens. You're supposed to have paperwork filled out by your doctor. Then you'll get a call back from their doctor. Doctor It never happens. They've cost me more money in the past 3 months then I've made in the past six
Áñiyäh Smíth: They are ok I like how smooth everything goes I never had a issue or problem the pay was great when. I first started they are on u in here but I like it I recommend
Jakeem White: They no longer accept walk-ins. You have to do everything including scheduling appointments on an app. They also reduced their payout. Extremely disappointed.
Elizabeth Haygood: Went to try to donate a couple years ago and was turned down because of a disability that I was medicated for. They intially approved me with the medication I was on and as I walked out they asked me why I was on the medication and I was honest. They told me I was going on a perminate deferal list because of my disability. When I called for answered I was getting frustrated because no one could give me a reason why I was deferred outside of medication that was too my face approved. I was essentially screamed at by management and told I would never be able to donate anywhere in NC.Do not recommend because all I wanted was a solid answer to be screamed at when I was confused.
Rose Anthony: The most unqualified staff in the triangle.Came in as lapse donor, took the staff 45 minutes to figure out what the procedure was for me. I went through the whole reregistration and physical for two hours, then they told me they wanted me to wait 30 mins to donate because I had indigestion. Then they told me they deferred me for the day anyway, and sent me home with a registration number telling me to wait 24 hours and then set up an appointment through the hub. She clearly stated that she had already completed the physical so I wouldn't have to do all that again next time. That all took over 3 HOURS without me even getting to donate.Next day, several phone calls later I find out that they didn't know what they were talking about and that the donor registration number only works after completing a full donation. That was after trying the website multiple times with slightly altered login info as the staff on the helpline recommended. So i had to come by again, wait while they once again spent 30 minutes figuring out what the process was for me. An hour and half later, after repeatedly saying it'd just be another minute, they told me that the nurse hadn't recorded my physical data on my first visit. any of it. So i'd have to have it done all over again which would probably be another hour wait because there was a new donor waiting ahead of me. SO two hour wait, that would've been even longer had I been willing to waste more of my time there, and that's without me having to fill out paperwork, watch videos, scan prints, etc. Just sutting there. So over 5 hrs of time wasted at this place already. Was I going to spend 3 more there for the donation and physical? HELL NO.I wasn't compensated for my time. no apologies. I walked out. CSL and Octopharma have a much more knowledgable staff and streamlined process, and are right down the street. Don't waste your time here and go to one of them instead.Plus the CSL/OCTAPHARAMA ones I've visited have masks and water bottles available and have a check in process you can do on your phone rather than those dodgy kiosks.. They were also just like, cleaner and nicer in general, and the staff new EXACTLY what to do for lapse donors.Seriously, tell your friends not to donate here. I recommend donating plasma to friends in need of cash all the time, but not that is going to include a long speech about why they need to avoid grifols like the plague. They clearly have low standards for staffing.
Vidal Torres: I've been a donor since 2015 never had any issue while donating it's safe and the staff is awesome, just call and find out all the details from a staff member..good day everyone
Steven Kirkham: Went on Monday as a new donor and took about 4 hours. That's not a problem, but, after coming back on Wed, they said you have to call and make an appointment everything LOL. No wonder there isnt hardly anyone who goes there. No thanks. Back to csl. Octapharma is the best. 800$ for first month then 70$ every visit after.
Sheneda Spivey: The staff is great
Tammy Washington: They will have you sitting waiting while they just talking to each other. Call the names out of order an give False Information.
Blue Rose: Went to the center to Donate on Tuesday and was called out of my name and told I could not return cause I asked an old manager for a face mask cause I dropped my face mask in water by accident !
Clemarion Yarborough: Understaffed and closes at 2:20
Chase Grange: Won't take appointments. Regularly short staffed. Expect multiple hour wait times before they can even see you. I tried going several days in a row and always had to interact with rude employees and witnessed other people trying to donate but couldn't because they didn't have availability. Often the first question out of some one trying to donate's mouth is "well can I schedule an appointment" and the answer is a flat No.They require you to "walk in" but then fill up in minutes and then spend the rest of the day turning people away because wait times are multiple hours long. They have in their paper work that they will charge you if you leave mid way through the process if they mess up and you get tired of their incompetence while putting needles in your arm but won't accept liability if one of their overworked staff hits an artery instead of the vein or if you develop a blood clot because of the process. I haven't been to many plasma donation centers so maybe this is the best out of all of the bad options but I'd have to be extremely desperate to trust these unhappy, overworked, and unempathetic people with my body.
Leeon Vaughan: I've been a donor st this center for years and let me tell you, they have come a LONG WAY. Talecris has become my home away from home over the years and is definitely a safe place and comfortable. The staff is more than friendly. They engage with you. You can tell that this is more than a job to them. However, they all take their job very seriously. I always see the staff communicating with each other to make sure one another stays on point and then engaging with us donors to make sure we are enjoying our time here but more importantly, making sure that we are comfortable. While each staff is personable, they maintain professionalism. My main thing has always been to save lives over gaining money, but they make sure you are well compensated with the bonuses and promotions throughout the month. Anything that I once would have wanted them to change, they already changed and made better but if I'd have to pick, it would be their DVD player 🤣😉
Dayshean McMullen: Love it boss lady's great (lead manager)
Jason Selorm Kojo Dotse: When they have promotions the payout is good, but I find it very much homophobic that they do not let gay men donate. As if being a gay man is a sickness itself that disqualifies you from donating
Donte' Young: Used to be a very great place to go donate a lot of veterans there that know their job very well unfortunately they’re lead by the site manager that will alter health records in order to appease her own personal interests other than that be careful!!!!
Yen SB: Las enfermeras son muy eficientes y responsables. Gracias por ayudarme a ayudar.
Laura Seeley: Except for the older guy upfront everybody is very friendly
Ashley Womack: Been sitting here for 40 minutes.only 2 people have been called for intake.10 people still waiting.this is crazy.
Gustavo: The worst service. Skipping people and favoring some. Also, told we would get the first two donations a certain amount, then got another. Do not trust them. They will hook you telling you one thing, doing another afterAnd their manager is doing nothing to improve the service

Talecris Plasma Resources: what do users think?
Brenna Mitchiner: Got here early for a first time appointment. Was not told at check In that I would be waiting until my actual time otherwise I would Not have sat there for an hour and half.
Joan Boggs: Switched to this plasma center after a poor experience somewhere else. Very pleasantly surprised. Helpful and friendly. Professional. No problems getting hooked up. Knowledgeable staff.
Sade Knight: I came in at 10 something today, was told the new donor system was down, to come back later. That I was okay with. My friend and I come back later that day, I hand Talitha Escobar with the orange nails my ID and SSN. She tells me my id is expired with an attitude. Ok. I go online to renew it and they send me a temporary ID card digitally and I print it off. (I was told it had to be on paper not digital.) Another nurse who was professional and very welcoming helped me this time around. She did the vain check, then she took me back for registration, part way through the registration, another nurse cracked the door and said they need her on the floor. She apologized to me and said she'll be right back. Talitha Escobar walks in and takes over. First thing she does is look at my form of id and say who accepted this? In the end I was told my temporary form of ID, was invalid and I can't donate. The problem wasn't being told my temporary form of ID was invalid. The problem was her attitude and how hostile she was, I let my friend know that I felt targeted because after I came to sit down and wait for my friend, Talitha Escobar went back to what she was supposed to be doing and stayed there the remaining time til closing. I plan on contacting corporate because this is completely unacceptable.
duncan pea: Not nothing bad to say places great I've been with them since 2012I am a giver so I love to donate and help other people the money is not bad. But it is time for a RISE.
Markimoo Martinez: I almost died here!! Absolutely traumatizing experience. while I was in the back donating, I had passed out trying to get somebody’s attention for over 10-15 minutes. I don’t remember much but apparently two patients beside me were the ones that told my parents that I was not doing well and having a medical emergency and refuse to let anybody come back and see me, I wasn’t even able to give a confirmation for me to finish my donation. They just finished it on their own. I was also given a card that doesn’t even work so I had to go 45 minutes back home then 45 minutes back to the donation place just for me to tell them that they couldn’t do anything and so now I sit at Bank of America, trying to get my money that I almost died for. I’m NEVER donating blood or plasma EVER again , while I’m at it there was a phlebotomist that was telling everyone she had been fired once and she doesn’t care if she gets fired again, there was another older lady that barely understood anything said to her
Henry Jenkins: Poor operation, no better than the New Bern Ave location that recently closed down. My situation, they tested my protein levels and determined it was low. I was told to call back around 7-10 days for results. I called back 7 days later, the test results were good. Now, the doctor needs to sign off, he only comes one day a week. Three weeks later, I'm now waiting for the Quality Control department to sign off after the doctor. Sounds like a bunch of game to me, but yet they claim donations are needed. Go figure!
Matt S: I had my first appointment here today and was pleasantly surprised with the professionalism, cleanliness, and overall experience. The staff engages with you and makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. I was previously donating plasma elsewhere and I'm not going to use this part to badmouth them but that other place started to rub me the wrong way. I felt very good about coming to Talecris and becoming a donor. I look forward to future donations.
AtaKamil: Today I came here first time , and it will be my last time. Because unprofessional medical staff TWICE injected my arm for receiving blood, first injection didn’t go into vein. It was hurt! But after second wrong injection I said I don’t want to process! Because now I have a fear of unprofessional staff. Even no one of them excused for this failure! Disappointed and dissatisfied!!
Eduardo Rivera: They started implementing a appointment only check-in that completely ruins the practicality of going in and out freely. There’s no doubt people that make appointments, a good chunk don’t end up coming.Last week I missed out on my second donation because I did not schedule a appointment even though 1. The center was empty and 2. The center was still open 2hours before it closed..As an professional who works as an analyst I can guarantee long-term this appointment system is going to impact total donations received per week negatively. It’s clear this system was not thought out and only used to TRY to control the flow of patients.
Claude Mcneill: Great experience staff is professional and helpful
Paul Brow: Great cause !
Julie Downes: I have been going here for over a year and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff here are so friendly. Usually short wait times esp. if you go middle of the day. 5 stars Grifols! :-)
Shamae Carter: I love donating plasma at the place the staff are very friendly
Cap Cap: The staff here was very helpful and also treated everyone with respect. The facility was super clean!
Derek Mccord: If you go into this with the right expectations your experience will be fine. If you go into it, like some reviewers, expecting a 5 star restaurant experience then you’ll be just as disappointed as them. These people work their behinds off. That place has been busy every time I’ve gone in and you can tell the employees are tired and lacking sufficient help but they are still nice if you’re nice.
Crickett Millette: Donating is good
Brandyn Farrow: Love the staff and the building is clean and everything. Only issues I've ever seen are someone get mad cus they are stupid and don't bring what they need. But this place needs to do better at answering phones. Took 3 days to get ahold of anyone with over 5 calls a day and I been trying to get the same info for days. Now they put me on hold
Tara Gonzalez: Honestly pretty terrible place, they also enjoy threatening people for no reason, just terrible
Layvoyne Toler: Awesome and caring staff!
Carla Talley: From the first minute I walked in until I walked out the door, it was a great experience! The staff was so friendly and informative.
