Louisburg College's de Hart Botanical Gardens: what do users think?
Trevor Garfield: Great hiking area very relaxing and beautiful. Well taken care of
Erin Ellison: This botanical garden is so beautiful! I come here sometimes with my family, other times I come alone for a quiet moment with nature whenever life gets too hectic. The scenery is unique! They have a whole bamboo trail which is very cool to explore and something you don’t normally see here. There’s a huge lake in the center of the park area that has a trail that goes around it as well. Remember to sign the guest book at the gazebo up front! Dog friendly (:Dog-friendliness: You can take your dog for a walk on any of the trails here!
Leon Duncan: nice place for a family walk
A. Soltes: There are nice shaded trails that are easy, but I wouldn't really call it a botanical garden. Trail maps are available at the gazebo. There is only a port-a-potty. The trails are sandy and rocky in places with tree roots; not good for strollers. There is a lot of poison ivy so dress accordingly.
Sidney Jackson: Unkept and greatly in need of vision or a line item support from the college administration. Actually, the worst botanical garden I've seen in NC.
Wesley Spottiswood: Nice walk that leads to a small waterfall. Amazing treesVisited on Weekday Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …More
Ray Williams: I traveled with my son and grandsons. There are at least two trails. The waterfall trail is quite hilly. Rain has washed the trails exposing roots that are easy to trip you. You will need to hike over a few sloping rocks also. The other trail goes around aPond. There is also a small waterfall and a bamboo trail that was very nice. If you do both trails including the short little loop trails, it is about 3 miles total.
Christine Driver: This is a beautiful place for a picnic! It's a small botanical garden with some walking trails through the woods. It's not overly built up so it feels very peaceful!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Price for adult entry Free …More
Jennifer Braxton: Such a beautiful hidden gem. I used to work in Louisburg years ago and never knew this place existed.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Price for adult entry Free …More
Ashley Jarosch: Such a nice place to go for a walk, turtles are a must see!
Daniel Avant: Great natural space that's easy to access and meticulously maintained. Hats off to the dedicated staff!
rita: We are just driving around and we pulled over. Saw the sign for botanical gardens. It is not a garden at all.... It is more or less nature trail. They are dog friendly. Bring your own bags. They have a porta potty, but I'd rather hold it. There's really not much of a waterfall either. Other than that it's a really nice walk to get some fresh air and walk your dog.
Amanda Velasquez: Plan on visiting again. Didn't have time to see it all.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …More
Peter Carter: Quiet and good trails
Brian Murphy: Fantastic getaway. Towards the end of summer the visitation seems to drop off and you have the whole place to yourself.
Lasondra Fields: There is free parking, but make sure you sign the visitor's book. There is a port-a-potty and two different trails to do. This is not a botanical garden by any means and there is not a waterfall. One trail is through the woods along a creek and the other leads to a pond. While they are both nice nature trails, I felt it was a little misleading in the description.
Leo peters: This is an amazing trail. It's right next to the Triangle North Executive Airport. I like to hike before or after flying. There is a longer trail, and a shorter one depending on how you are feeling.
Lost Memories: I was disappointed how there was no waterfall.. it was more a dry out area. One side was quite a narrow path way which wasn't bad and another side near the powerlines was a great open pathway leads to a beautiful pond filled with turtle's and fish. Went on a Sunday and there was no one else there.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Price for adult entry Free …More

WRAL Azalea Garden: what do users think?
Chris: Enjoyed seeing the cactus in bloom. A unique garden with some neat plants
Louis C: A beautiful and extremely well maintained and FREE garden to explore when you have some time. Lots of benches and dead ends to relax at away from other people.
Fabian Fuentes: ★★★★★The WRAL Azalea Garden is a true treasure, and the beautiful Japanese maples steal the show. The garden is a serene and picturesque oasis, with a stunning array of vibrant colors provided by these magnificent trees. Walking among the Japanese maples is a feast for the eyes and a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A must-visit for nature lovers and anyone seeking a moment of serenity in the heart of nature.
Eric Green: Gorgeous!
Dawn B: Restrooms: Very clean
Kathy Jones: One of my favorite spots to visit around Raleigh for the beautiful flora and fauna, and the variety of birds always present in the gardens!
Melissa Enoch: On a visit to Raleigh with a suggestion by Heather Leah, Hidden History, I trekked to find WRAL garden and the “century” plant. I had no idea that the station was that close to NC State campus(right in the middle) and that there was a garden that could be used as a nature walk, plant observation even as a wedding venue. As an officiant of wedding, I didn’t know that for the mere cost of $250, the garden could be used along with chairs and electrical hook up as a quaint space for weddings. No receptions, but this would be useful for renewing of vows, intimate yet inexpensive place to say I do. I am glad that I was able to stop by and plan to visit more
Victoria Kazmier-Mahalik: We got to see chipmunks. My daughter came to visit from Florida and never seen them before and loved it.Picnic area: We enjoyed our snacks by the waterfall and got to meet Elizabeth Gardner. She was nice enough to pose for a pic with my grandson.
Brian Franklin Elliott: Excellent revisitPlayground: In natureDog-friendliness: People can walk dogs herePicnic area: By stage area
Dara Nelson: Beautiful! Loved seeing the century plant!
Cathy Savage: The azaleas aren't blooming right now but it is still well worth the visit. The huge amount of hydrangeas are blooming their hearts out. Beauty is everywhere you look. Can't wait to go back.
Philip Stone: Absolutely gorgeous
Onitsha Davenport: Even though we didn't see much of the garden it was beautiful. I will be going back to explore more stay tuned.
William Thompson: Highly recommend visiting this place. It's like a little piece of Heaven.
Mai Mclean: Very nice
Ryan Nicole Shinzato: Very beautiful when the flowers bloom!
Ying Wang: It is not huge but planted densely. The garden has a lot of parking and restrooms in the parking lot. We will definitely visit again when azaleas are in season
Matthew Novak: Beautiful garden, obviously the azalea bloom is the draw but don't skip this stop even if they are not in bloom. The hydrangeas hostas give a nice pop of color in the early summer. Personally I can for the agave bloom, a rare sight only. Looking to visit again soon!
Breanna: Beautiful, peaceful place to visit year round! There are always photographers. Favorite time to visit is in the spring and early summer when azaleas and hydrangeas are in bloom!
Robert Greene: A small retreat from the traffic near Pullen Park.
Donna Mills: Always beautiful, always something in bloom. Lots of birds; Bluejays, Robins, Gray Catbird and we even saw a hawk.Picnic area: A few small tables or plenty of room to spread a blanket.

Elizabeth Ferrell: I fell in love with this beautiful garden. Take your time and enjoy the serene beauty of native plant life. Not just a showy garden of flashy, colorful, non native flowers, but a loving and dedicated effort to celebrate and conserve the Indigenous plant life that is a part of our American heritage. Find incredible inspiration for your own garden here....and they sell some of the native plants you see in the gardens at the gift shop. We bought several varieties for our own native plant garden. I can't wait to go back and visit again! Wonderful place! Highly recommended 👌👍
