It was nice they had a lot of options cakes cookies donuts croissants ice cream etc. the sweets are just alright they’re not the best but not the worst. The place was tidy but the floors was very dirty I wanted to mop my self that’s how dirty they were. The other thing I didn’t like is they did have prices shown I had to look around and finally I seen a small paper on the wall with prices. They should make the prices known there’s lots of space on the wall to write out their menu and add prices for every one to see instead of hiding them over all I had a good experience will I be back I don’t think so but still a nice bakery over all

LIVE LOVE LOVE LIFE: I've experienced the taste of Burney's items but never personally went in until yesterday.It's a nice small site. When you walk in, the smell of pure happiness floods your heart. I had no idea the variety of desserts that are available. I was in awe.The sweet crossiants are the best delights. Small or large. They stayed true to the lightness of a crossiant, but they elevated the taste with sweet goodness. Filled or not filled, they are great. My family and I enjoyed a variety box.... glazed, lemon filled, raspberry, creme cheese, and one topped with bacon. WOW!!! The list goes on and on. If they only have plain the display case, they will fill it with what you'd like. That was sweet.The name is BURNEY'S SWEETS & MORE. Yes!!! Yes!!!! Yes!!!! There are a lot of choices. They also have ice. Haven't tried it, but it's available.It is a hidden gem that my family and I have shared with numerous friends, and when family comes to town, it is one of our favorite things to share.See you again and thank you .

Jen'Nea Fowler: Cake slices taste just like a grocery store bakery. Not homemade at all, and that wasn't very pleasant coming from an actual bakery. The lemon cake had no lemon flavor in the cake. The cake layers were purchased, defrosted, and decorated with lemon-flavored icing. Same with the coconut came - bought cake and actual coconut flakes added to the icing, and that’s it. Adding flavor icing doesn't make it a lemon or coconut cake. It was far from delicious, and it is a lazy method.

You can't go wrong with entrusting them with your special day or milestones throughout the year!

crate home living products: This place has beautiful cakes but their customer service is lacking. I ordered four cakes from them for my kids birthdays over a period of a month, I did it all through email so there would be written documentation of pricing and details well in advance. They changed the price on me several times without details to the cakes changing. It seems as if they get a few extra bucks out of people where they can because they know people won’t question a few bucks over it. The first set of cakes in May were around 225 for 3 cakes, and the second cake in June was 200. I paid a deposit of $225 as 50% was due, assuming they would apply half to the June cakes and the rest to the May cakes so I would owe a solid 100 on both at pickup. On pickup of the May cakes, they stated I owed closer to 120, in which I asked if the 125 could be applied so I could only pay 100 and then owe 100 also at the next pickup. They refused to do this. If I’m paying more than half which is what’s required for deposit, I should get the say in where the extra I paid gets applied. Paying this left a balance of 86 dollars for the cake in June. I confirmed that ok, if I pay this much now - that will leave me only owing 86 for the June cake. I had emails with documentation showing what was owed and what was paid. Prior to pickup of the June cake I paid the entire remaining balance online and emailed them letting them know, to make pickup quicker as it was already rushed to pickup in time for the party that afternoon. They emailed back saying that I would still owe 3 dollars. When I asked where the extra $3 came from, they couldn’t give me an answer. Upon pickup, the younger woman was extremely rude about the 3 dollar balance (that I didn’t owe to begin with, emails of total balance would prove that). I didn’t question it and just paid.Also, they messed up my sons smash cakes and wouldn’t own up to it. I asked for different shades of green polka dots and borders to be added. The color scheme was green. After picking up, I realized the borders were white. Which was already strange being that the cake was white, why put borders that can’t even be seen being that they’re the same color of the cake? I went back and checked my email and verified where I asked for green borders, and in the checklist response - she confirmed different shades of green polka dots and borders to match the color theme. I called and pointed this out, in which she denied it stating it doesn’t specify the color - when you can look through the email and see where I specifically asked for green. They didn’t offer to have me come back in and fix them, or to discount off the next cake. Being that I was spending almost 500 on 4 cakes, if they weren’t willing to fix their mistake (or at least own up to it and apologize), they could have added a few bucks for the 200 I was spending the following month on a large cake to feed 40 people. Unless you specify every detail, they’ll also leave everything extremely plain. My sons 8 inch cake was supposed to be a dinosaur theme, and although it did have candied rocks, the entire rest of the cake was completely plain white. Being that it went up $100 dollars for that little bit of decoration, they could have done better. Not overly pleased with this place. I feel like we could have gotten better decorated cakes from Walmart for much cheaper.

Nakisha Tompson: I have kept visiting a few times in hopes that my experience would match what some of the 5* reviews rave.Aside from the lovely older woman as the Cafe (the owner, possibly), nothing good has come out of my visits. The flavors sound amazing, but my husband and I have gotten 4 cupcakes on 8 of their BOGO tuesdays within a year's time - the inconsistency in quality and flavor has been the only cobsisten thing here. The cakes are either dense and stale, or undercooked and flat. The frosting is typically also dried out, grainy, and too sweet - which surprises me because I will watch sugar cubes for fun, but not these cupcakes.The new, younger staff is also so rude and a few times I've asked questions, and they seemed annoyed, and I asked about ingredients and pricing, and they say something, I ask again, and they backtrack with no apology and almost accusatory. Real sad experience.

I love surprising people with cookies made for them and anytime I've asked they haven't just delivered but exceeded expectations! Oh, and I must mention they have the best macaroons I've ever had in my life, I almost don't want to tell the world because they sell out fast already, but try it and trust me.

After coming in and trying cupcakes with varying flavors and combinations we knew picking Edible Art for our wedding day was a must! Planning was seamless, the cake was beautiful AND delicious. Nkem Okorie: The Cake was 500.00 and looked horrible compared to what the displayed cakes in the store looked like. No suggested cake tasting was offered. We were told to come back for a cake tasting when we spoke to them on the phone. We came back just to be told they didn't have the Cake. The staff was cold and unfriendly as though we didn't belong... I'll NEVER suggest this location to anyone, let alone go there.

Amber Trawick: My favorite place to go for late night cookies, milk, and ice cream. They have seasonal/limited time specials like Red Velvet and lots of choices. Very popular location, so they understandably run out of big favorites like snickerdoodles occasionally. Employees are always friendly and while location is very small, it's clean and there are some tables & trash cans outside for extra space. Go behind bldg for easy and free parking access (beware, only about 7-10 spots though, and small bump going in/out).

This is the first time I went to this place, and I learned there are three different six packs of cookies:A Deluxe 6 (two or more the deluxe cookies)A Super 6 (one deluxe cookie and five traditional)A Traditional 6 (six traditional cookies)I ordered a Super 6 and I paid as he packed up the box. I left and when getting home I opened my box to find it only contained five cookies. Out of the five only four were actually what I ordered. If this was a test it's a solid 66.6%, 4/6 correct answers.The cookies were delicious, but let's be far I could understand the wrong cookie. I can't understand not counting to six. When questioned, the employee laughed and told us it was the correct price. He continued to laugh over and over again. Well, last time I checked, a single scoop ice cream in a cup AND a cone with a single scoop does not cost 19 dollars! (I did find online the cost of 3 scoops isn't even ten dollars). The employee just kept telling us the single scoop was 8 dollars each. His math didn't even make sense. I questioned the employee numerous times but the line behind us was growing so we paid and left. I called the store 3 times and left a message for a manager to call me. I also emailed this location. No one ever responded. Watch your wallet if you go to this location!

The baker told me that she also loves baked potatoes as much as my brother, and she was so excited to work on this cake. I showed her some basic pictures and she DELIVERED. Even though she was closed to walk-in orders, Mary saw that my daughter was all decked out in a dress-up outfit and opened up just for her. She told us she knew it had to be a special occasion and gave her a special unicorn decorated cupake. Mary was very knowledgeable about handling food allergies. We bought several more to take home and loved them!

Catherine Maher: If you think Mary’s cupcakes are fantastic, try her oreo cinnamon rolls, her lemon Bundt cake, her cherry pie, her melt in your mouth cookies, and her cake bars!! Everything Mary touches is delicious! She’s made everything from fundraiser cakes to personalized rice Krispy treats for us, and it’s such a bonus that they are plant based and sugar free!! For our family, no get together is complete without something made with love by Mary.

Dana I.: Liz is a miracle worker! My brother decided to throw a last min bday party. Him and a couple of his friends have severe gluten allergies. I stumbled upon Gluten Free Galley. They whipped me up a cute, affordable cake within 24hours. I travelled all day with that cake transporting it to NYC. When we finally cut it, it was delicious! I'm not usually a gluten free fan. The chocolate was moist and delicious the icing was good. My brother, his friend's, myself and many more are now official fans of GlutenFree Galley!!

We heard kids talking about how good the cake was long after we ate it, and we had one piece left to take home :) Having celiac's is tough for a kid, and it truly meant a lot to be able to serve the same cake to everyone else that she was having rather than her being the one with something different, and for everyone to enjoy it so much. Not to mention the peace of mind of knowing we didn't have to worry about cross-contamination. Thank you so much Liz!

Limited parking, usually, someone is always coming out of a park...Afterwards, go NEXT DOOR...to Two Roosters! Expensive ice cream (According to WHO you ask, ppl w/$$$$ going to think, different) Anyway..BUT, OH SOOOOO YUMMY!!!! May I add, At BOTH locations, I have experienced, NOTHING SHORT...of EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! 🍒

Katie Foxx: Cute little bakery with lots of outdoor seating. Nice place to grab a little snack and meet with a friend. The croissant was flaky and buttery. The cinnamon roll however was lacking a little bit. It was very nice and fluffy, but needed more filling. Was more of a sweet bread with icing then a cinnamon roll. Nothing too special about the coffee or chia tea latte. Just your average run of the mill type of drinks. However, I would like to go back and try their other breads. They had baguettes on the wall that looked delicious.

Jackie Tingen: Two words.. Brownie bites. I think those things are my favorite part about Yellow Dog. Don't get me wrong, I've never had anything here that wasn't short of amazing, but I don't know what they put in their brownies, they are one of the best things I've ever eaten. Being that it's right next door to my favorite ice cream place (Two Roosters) makes it so convenient to pop in and pick up fresh bread and other goodies for the week. I also love that they deliver to my local farm stand in Benson (Smith's Nursery) so that I don't have to go all the way to Raleigh all the time. Do yourself a favor and stop in sometime. You won't regret it!

Jonathan Hart: Yellow Dog Bread Company was so good we came back for more. The beans they use are flavorful and never bitter. The Focaccia Vegetable Bread is like your eating in New York. Parking was Free and the baristas are knowledgeable and Nice. You can see a team of Bakers working feet away from you. adds to the ambiance for sure. This place was a Home Run!

David Sternquist: Oh so delicious selection of pastries! It was hard to decide what to get. Coffee and tea choices as well. A quite large choice of treats. Cookies, scones, muffins, slices of sweetbreads and cakes.From what I remember of today's visit: my father-in-law got the cinnamon roll, I had a hard time choosing between a thick slice of blueberry coffee cake, lemon pound cake, and a pecan sticky bun. I chose the pecan one, and the slice they gave me for $4ish was HUGE. Too much to eat in one setting for me.If my father-in-law hadn't brought me here, I probably would have never given it a shot - you could drive by it and not see it among the other businesses in that small plaza.Indoor seating is limited, and noisy, but there are plenty of tables outdoors.

Took off one star because the barista making our drinks was really slow since they were busy socializing with other coworkers. I normally wouldn’t care but it was 10+ minutes of waiting with no other customers or orders in the store.
