Sheryl Golden: This car service is very professional and reliable! The car is always clean and luxurious. I travel regularly from Pittsboro/Chapel Hill to the airport for business. I typically text the owner, Cliff, with my travel dates/airline and receive prompt service. Confirmations are sent the day before with driver details and since I often leave in the wee hours of the morning, I have been pleased with drivers arriving 15 minutes early and texting me when they arrive. Thankful for this service and the team! The dependable service provides me with peace of mind.

Howard I: Outstanding professional and dependable service. Used it for the day of my daughter's Duke commencement. Leading up to it, as our logistics were evolving, Cliff was responsive and flexible. The communication was great. On the day of the event our driver Ben picked us up promptly at the scheduled time (in a beautiful Mercedes van) and got us everywhere we needed to be that day, at the ready when we needed to get to the next event. I was especially grateful for the great care he took with my 80+ year old mother-in-law who has major mobility issues. Ben figured out how we could most easily get her into the van, loaded and unloaded her wheel chair, and always dropped us off at the most accessible place closest to our destination. Given the traffic that day, I wasn't sure how easy that would be but he made it stress free. Professional, patient and very kind. All in all Carolina Car Service made things much easier than they would have been without them!

Sarah Compton: I was rear ended, and my insurance set up a rental through Hertz. They were scheduled to pick me up from the body shop. They called me as I pulled into the shop, informed me they ran out of cars, and that they would not pick me up. They left me stranded 45 minutes from home as the body shop was closing. I'm still injured, and had to find somewhere to wait until my husband could pick me up. Their solution was that they would figure out a car for me in the morning, and then no longer answered my calls when I called back to try to get some clarity (they were still open).

Jacqueline Humphrey: Hertz is located inside the Westgate Collision building. I had the best experience at Hertz Westgate in Raleigh. With the exception of the hoops needed to reach them by phone, the two people with whom I worked were great. I started my experience with the manager from the Fayetteville store who was temporarily working in Raleigh. He was absolutely awesome! The young man to whom I returned the car and drove me to the repair shop was great as well. Personable, cheery, and service oriented.

E-Z Rent-A-Car: what do users think?
Tony G: This is the worst car rental you can think of. They don't advertise upfront that being a local customer you're perceived as a business risk (think about that). They won't rent you a car (may be me) when using my debit card unless I used a credit card because I'm a local NC resident. Out of state patrons get the red carpet no questions asked. Out of principle I walked down the road to Enterprise and was accommodated without this kind of BS and my money was good to them no questions asked. This E-Z and Advantage or Economy shenanigans is not worth your time or money. AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!
James Crowther: NEVER AGAIN EZ. Nobody present a car return as promised 4 am, 5:45 flt, when I did get a person on phone res line they said its "my problem", I had handed rental agent my iten. I am 100% disabled, many spinal fusions. I had to walk with bags 1 mile toward departure gate in dark, no sidewalks, rough potholes in road, cars had to avoid me in dark clothes in lane, they still don't care. Thank you Hertz driver for picking me up 1/2 way and driving off route. I tipped graciously, I really appreciate it. Never again.
Mike Davis: The overall service was good. This review is lower because of their $200 hold on the rental. Yes, it does say it can take up two weeks for the hold to be released. I rented a car at Avis this past weekend. It is just odd that Avis hold and process payment within 48 hours of the return, while it has been 10 days, and E-Z Rent-A-Car still has a hold. How about cutting the process in half?

ivette huertas: Hey I had the worst experience this morning in North Carolina when we went to drop the car off at 4 in the morning there was no place to drop it the gates were chained up, so we had to leave the car outside and walk through the highway for 1/2 an hour to the airport bcuz no one would stop to give us a ride, it was awful and scary ,every other facility was open except ez car rental, I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN
Tom Blanchard: If there was a way to give zero stars, I would. Rented a minivan, for a family of 5, to be picked on Dec. 26th up at 10:30pm. Showed up and was told very rudely that there were no cars available and to find somewhere else to rent a car. I honestly spoke to this woman as nice & calm as possible, trying to get her to empathize with my situation and help, but she was just plain rude. Apparently, the minivan had broken down earlier in the week. A notification would have been nice! The same woman that was so rude to me got in a literal shouting match with another customer just after me. Literally yelling across the counter. I could hear them outside while i was waiting for an Uber to take me to another rental company.Never use this company!

Laboh K: Horrible customer service to begin with. Limited milage doesn't make sense considering the rest of the rental companies have unlimited mileage. Uou have to pay extra for unlimited miles. I had to walk out. I was ready to pay same day price from the other rentals which is usually expensive compared to early reservation. Surprisingly I got a better deal from Budget with insurance and of course unlimited mileage.

And now I can’t get up with anyone at the branch location about it. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I rent cars quite often, but that was the first and last time I’ll be renting from E-Z. (Edit: I've now called their company-wide customer service line 3 times and all they'll do is "send my complaint" to the appropriate branch and say that someone will be in touch within 48 hours---but no one is getting in touch, and they refused to give me a branch phone number or email.)

Gregory Zielinski: I rented a car for one day at Advantage. Not familiar with the area and not planning to have to use a toll road, I didn’t get the toll option, but I did prepay for gas, leaving about $30 worth in the tank upon return. Unfortunately, on my way back, I was unavoidably rerouted onto a toll road, and as you know, there is no way to pay the toll as you drive. When I called management to see if they would cover the $3.00 toll considering they would make an extra $27 on the excess fuel left in the car, Manager said that not only would they not cover the toll, it would charge an extra $15 fee. They wouldn’t even let me pay the toll on checkout. The default position is to do nothing-why are you are paying a manager to make a default position? Where is the value added? Would it not have made sense for this manager to think about future potential for rentals to me and the large company I represent. I will never rent from this company again. Advantage has lost my business forever.

Melissa Leroux: I pre-booked my car online for a week like I have many times before. Online it says there is unlimited mileage with the rental but when I went to pick up my vehicle the guy there wanted $.055 per mile and told me that they NEVER offer unlimited mileage with their rental cars. I refused to take a vehicle and pay that much when I am already paying $300 for the week and they still wanted a damage deposit of $200 + the additional 55 cent per mile charge. That is ridiculous. Then when I went online to reserve another car, the same company kept coming up in my search with unlimited mileage. Advantage / E-Z rentals is a rip-off.

Ariana Yu: I love enterprise but this particular store is run by a power hungry tiny man named Jorge. I misunderstood the price of the car and when I called and explained the situation his employee told me there was something he could do but wouldn't. Then put me on hold. I waited for the manager (Jorge) to get on the phone. After being on hold for another 10 minutes and being told there was something they could do but wouldn't I got extremely agitated. I asked for the customer service number and he gave me the tech support number for their office. He refused to give me his last name to call customer service. I went to the store to get the number where he told me that he wouldn't adjust the price because I'm rude. I called customer service while sitting in the waiting room and they refunded me for the extra money. It is so unnecessary that I had to go through all these steps over a misunderstanding. I will not return to this particular enterprise solely because it is managed by the tiny power hungey man named Jorge with no last name. Yes, Jorge people get rude when you treat them as dollar signs instead of human beings.
Raven Boone: Was approved for a down payment then when I called again to confirm my appointment, they told me it was actually a much higher down payment then what was previously promised. Very crooked service, do not go here!!!

After experiencing a fender bender here in the great south with wildlife amongst us, AAA Insurance scheduled me for a Priority Pass Appointment on a Monday morning. I was initially scheduled for a pick up from John's collision office but the owner knew how busy enterprise was and decided to drive me and another customer over. Susan assisted me and reviewed what models were in stock. I initially requested a Nissan Sentra or Dodge Charger Sedan. I also confirmed with her that I wanted to stay within my policy's daily allowance. She showed me a 2023 Mazda CX5. I found the vehicle too large for my needs and asked to see other options. I decided on a electric blue 2021 Ford EcosportCompact SUV. I love a fuel efficient vehicle, so this was perfect for my needs. The car smelled new, did not have cigarette odor and the entire was spotless. I enjoyed the keyless entry, Automatic engine shut off, cap free gas tank, comfortable stain free seats, amazing fuel economy where $30 fills up the tank. The collision shop originally promised the repair would be only a few days but I had the car for over a week's time. I am not a fan of FORD but I really enjoyed my EcoSport. When it came time to return the vehicle Josh was wonderful and assisted me with the return. Caesar drove me back over to John's Collision and I was on the road again.The customer service at Enterprise is unmatched. I will definitely return for my rental car needs. Prices are affordable and the selection of vehicles was spot on for me.

The car smells like someone smoked in it. It was this car or one with visible stains on the seats. I’ve rented from numerous locations dozens of times with no issues but for whatever reason this location decided to be predatory with how they handled my rentals. Due to my work I require a rental car that is covered by my company. For my protection I video record each rental inspection.Upon returning the vehicle, Enterprise tried to charge me for a cigarette smell and dirty vehicle. Thankfully I had evidence this was not the case and that this issue was on them. They tried to push the issue and were proven wrong.Another time they attempted to charge me for a ding on the vehicle that was already there when I rented and the paperwork proved them wrong. Maybe this is why they have attempted to push their insurance when I rent. After these interactions I have decided that I am much safer and much more welcome at the Apex location or any other location.As a customer who used to rent weekly from Enterprise, the experience at this location made me use other rental services

Edward Engelhardt: Awful experience. Had my original renting price doubled due to a representative adding insurance fees (which I did not need, due to having my own insurance and also booking insurance at the time of reserving the rental) and have had no attempt to reimburse or even try to make things right. The staff member (not even behind the Dollar counter) simply mumbled something with the word insurance thrown in, which I believed to be him asking me if I had insurance. Turns out that was his way of making even more money. $700 for a 5 day rental is absolutely ridiculous - I had a rental for 3 weeks with enterprise which was nearly the same price, no funny business. This is completely inexcusable and truly shows why the company is called ‘Dollar’ - it seems money is the only thing the company actually cares about. I will surely not be using their services ever again, and strongly advise others to follow suit. I am still awaiting a response to how they plan to make this right. I’d give 0 stars if the option was available. Terrible business & business model. This will be reported to the better business bureau as well.

Pamela Howard: I had forgotten that Dollar tried to charge me for gas fraudulently the last time I rented from them. This branch did it again. $10 a gallon for gas when I returned the car full and filled it less than a 1/2 a mile from the return location. They charged me $20 and the car was full. I spent 2 hours of my time chasing down their customer service to have them take it off my bill. These people are total scam artists.
Spencer Pierce: The car itself was great but getting the 97$ toll fee bill was shocking to say the least. I was never given options on how to pay my tolls or how they even worked. they charge a 15$ admin fee per toll. for a .76 cent toll I owed 15.76 and so on. for a total of six tolls totaling to 97$. I will never use dollar car rental again.
Chopper 1981: I paid 168.44 for a FOUR HOUR rental out of MHT in NH. I would love to know why Enterprise rents the same size car for 86.00 a DAY. I also would like to know if Dollar stands behind their name in being fair. I am retired, a Veteran, and that charge was exorbitant to say the least. Thank you for your quick response.
