Tom Hartrick: I’ve had lunch here a couple times with friends on a weekday, and has consistently resulted in delicious food, friendly service, good atmosphere (we have sat in their outdoor patio next to the parking lot), and reasonable prices. The pizza is always tasty, usually with some left over, and the sandwiches look terrific as well. It’s always a good time. My only constructive comment though is if you like to sit in an outdoor atmosphere like we do, their tables border the shopping center parking lot so you’ll need to be tolerant of car and truck noise.
Denise Rhodes: EDIT: Manager called me about my negative review. This was clearly a shock because I had not called them to make a reservation or made one online. It was disturbing that he somehow got my phone number. I asked how he got my personal phone #. He said he did a search on OpenTable using my name as is listed here on this Google review, and that he was easily able to retrieve my phone number from a reservation I had made on OpenTable sometime prior. That had to have been years ago, if ever, I said. He encouraged me to return and ask for him so he could give me some Bella love. Creepy. I ended the call after telling him we won't return because of the poor dining experience and being tracked down online, which I told him was beyond creepy. I've contacted OpenTable to report this and asked to have my phone number deleted for privacy after this manager tracked me online, reportedly using their system. OpenTable said they could not find any reservation I had made there, after several minutes on hold, they advised me that a reservation was made in 2014 and advised me to contact the mgr via email and supplied me with the restaurant email address myself, to ask him to have it removed on his end and for him to let OpenTable know and they will contact me once he has done this. I emailed at their request, titled "REMOVE ME", despite hesitation, and the manager, Ben Hunter, replied and was again incredibly rude about my review. I asked him not to contact me further, that I'd asked him to remove me, and that any further contact is harassment. OpenTable had not contacted me that he had removed me and my phone #from his OpenTable account. UPDATE: Now, this manager, Ben Hunter, has emailed Google, copying me, despite me telling him to not contact me, to have Google, remove this review, resorting to slandering me in various ways personally, and asking Google to remove me completely and further saying he will pursue legal action as he considers my negative review remaining online and any updates to be harassment to his business. I contacted OpenTable immediately and sent them screenshots of the email exchange. OpenTable advised that he had my phone # from a reservation made in 2014 where I either called to make a reservation or did so in person, which could be true, I don't recall. According to them, I had not even used OpenTable ever for Bella Monica. They said they "facilitated the removal" of my name and contact info in the restaurant records and would give him information on how to respond more appropriately to negative reviews in the future.Dear Reader, if you have read all this,....BEWARE of this and other restaurant managers such as this, that will resort to do anything to track you down if you leave a negative review. Use a nickname for reviews and also when phoning in a reservation. That was the advice given to me by OpenTable.REVIEW: We stopped in on a weeknight, not busy, seated promptly. We did not make a reservation. Used 4-course, dinner-for-2 gift certificate which I informed waitress of before ordering. I was the highest bidder on the gift certificate in a silent auction for charity dear to me. Alcohol not covered of course. Bruschetta was rock hard, salad dressing had strong odor, entrees were disappointing. Had to ask for bread, none was served with our meal. It didn't arrive until after we'd finished. We were over charged for our wine. We had 4 glasses between the 2 of us. We tipped generously on the full amount, despite the inattentive service and disappointing food. We left shaking our heads, agreeing that we would not return.
Craig Lincoln: Best Italian place in Raleigh!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Victoria Benson: The food was absolutely fantastic! If you’re hungry for the best Italian in Raleigh this is the place! My only complaint was the outside chairs are ear-splitting noisy on the cement; need to add some rubber feet, perhaps?Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Beth Friedland: The salad was very nice and the bread was delicious. Unfortunately, the spinach stuffed shells were a little too salty and overcooked.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Bethany Wakefield: So. Good! I am GF and DF and had more options than usual when dining out. And they have GF bread! Everything was amazing.Recommended dishes Meat Lasagne, Chicken Balsamico …More
Ariana Sifuentes: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Neopolitan PizzaMore
Elijah Cody: Really good Italian food. The lasagna was some of the best I’ve ever had. Also, I recommend calling ahead and sitting outside.

David Schne: Had dinner with relatives on 4/26/23. We sat outside due to noise level inside. Our waiter was a bit of a character and clearly did not want to answer questions about the menu.Overall the food was OK. Nothing was fabulous or worthy of note. I would have given the meal a 3.5 but it is not possible. When I go to a restaurant I expect to have a good experience that includes a nice atmosphere, good service, good food, and an acceptable cost. This was a meal and no more.I'd go elsewhere.
Jamila Jackson: The food was authentic and the portion sizes were adequate. The place was not busy but we still had a long wait for our food to come out. We made reservations weeks in advance so I wasn’t expecting such a long wait however we did have more then 8 in our party.
Luke: Reliable no-frills Italian American in a relaxed environment. I've been going for at least 6-7 years. Was just there the other night and had the bruschetta, caprese, and a glass of wine.Service is also really great. I've been there for my birthday, and have brought people there for their birthdays, and it's honestly one of the best places to have a birthday dinner because they really go out of your way to make it a fun and special experience. You'll just have to see for yourself.
Paige D: Happy to find a restaurant that offers more than one gluten free option. The gluten free garlic bread was delicious, and the shrimp scampi was pretty good. The regular menu items were just as tasty. Tex our server was phenomenal, and I would recommend this place.
Sarah Giesel: Great takeout option- their pizzas are delicious, as are their pasta options. We also love dining in here, but highly recommend getting a reservation, even on a weekday.Recommended dishes Chopped Salad, Eggplant Rollatini, Chicken Parmigiana over Spaghetti …More
