Not only were the folks behind the counter super friendly, but also extremely knowledgeable about technical specifications of different types of oil. Then, because I needed to put the oil in the car on location, not only was I offered a funnel and paper towels, but help without even asking for it. They specifically came outside to ask—definitely above and beyond!

Rich Roark: I will never buy anything else from Advance Auto Parts. On 12/29 I ordered online from the Advance Auto Parts store at 4009 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh a Fully Automatic Battery Charger/Starter unit and paid $179 Upon getting it home and reading the manual, I found there is no way to use this without actually plugging in the unit and either taking the battery from your car to charge with the plug-in unit OR be near an electrical outlet to plug in this charger/starter. Who in their right mind would have thought you'd always be near an electrical outlet?! So I tried to return it 12/31 (never having used it) and was told company policy is all electronics are not returnable. The cashier said she asked someone in back (presumbably a manager) and no dice, no discussion. Nothing on the website in purchasing the unit says it's not returnable. Nothing on the receipt says it's not returnable. Only informs to check the return/refund policy online...on a receipt you get AFTER you've purchased. Now I'm quite po'd that I purchased a unit that does not do what i thought and will never use as intended, AND Advance Auto does not disclose the "not returnable" until AFTER you've made a purchase. I will NEVER EVER buy Advance Auto again and will discourage anyone else from doing so.

She deserves a raise and a promotion of manager if position is available. I drove to this location after rude treatment at the millbrook location. Although this location was out of the way, I’d make a special trip based on the customer service. I don’t accept employees to have all the answer but your willingness to go above and beyond to locate an answer speaks volume!

shayla: Customer service was great, however, I ordered new tail light bulbs online for pick up. I get a call an hour later about how they were not in stock so they cancel my order. If it's not in stock, why does your website say I can pick it up at your location? They then suggest a different brand that costs a little more and I say, "Okay, no big deal. I will get that one instead." I purchase them, get home, change out the old bulbs for the new ones, and my tail light still doesn't work. Because of this, I assumed it might have been an electrical issue and take my car to a dealership the next day. The dealership charges me $125 for checking the wiring and removing my tail light but in the end, they tell me that Advanced Auto Parts gave me bulbs that were actually NOT compatible with my car. I spent $125 for a dealership to replace the bulbs when I could have done it for $10-14 on my own if Advanced Auto Parts had just given me the correct one. That's an extra $125 I didn't need to spend.

Store Rep Jimmy checked for the battery I wanted was in stock and offered to test the old before the replacement, and tested the new 1 after we got it installed. 10/10.Avoid the Auto zone around the corner. Khalil got me checked out and came outside with me to see about replacing my headlight there in the parking lot. Alex, the store manager, also popped outside and was able to get the headlight changed quickly for me. Both men were awesome from when I walked in the door to when I drove off - highly recommend this location and it will be my go-to from now on.

Barnes) checked my battery, gave a good recommendation for replacing it, and quickly and efficiently put the new battery in. He was very friendly and made the whole experience painless for me, and it was clear that he knew what he was doing. As a woman, having any kind of work done on my car can easily become an uncomfortable/intimidating experience, so this was an incredibly refreshing change of place. Even when I'm just waiting in line they keep conversation fun and polite. Bridget Larson: I was in last night to get front and rear break pads all and front rotors. Shawn and Tom were working. I walked in and told Tom what I needed and the year make and model of my car. He rang everything up on the computer correctly and went to the back to pull parts. Shawn followed him. The phone started ringing and Shawn came to the front to answer it. The gentlemen on the other line was 4 minutes down the road having car issues in the pouring rain and asking for help. Shawn told him to call a tow truck, hung up the phone and proceeded to laugh at the guy that called asking for help. After Tom had done all the work helping me, he told Shawn to ring everything up so that he would get the credit for not doing anything. Coke to find out this morning, I was given the wrong parts. I went in this morning to exchange for the correct parts and it turns out that they did not close the register correctly last night before leaving and messed up the opening process for the guys this morning and requiring me to have to leave and come back when the registers could open.This morning, unfortunately Mike caught the frustration from everything but was very professional and extremely helpful. He helped correct the issues, brought the incorrect parts back inside and carried my new stuff out to the car and opened the car door for me. He apologized for the other gentlemen’s actions.I again thank Mike for all of his help and hope that this reaches the right people to take care of Tom and Shawn.
Charles Clarence: The store manager is Hostile and disrespectful. You can see the confederacy in this man’s face .Mr. Richard is very hostile and rude and does not have proper etiquette. Advise you to stay away from the store if you’re a black man. and after checking with other stores in the area, this man is widely known and has received several complaints about being racist.

Mike meticulously cleaed the battery housing of every bit of corrosion. When I left, it was in confidence that I'd been shown the highest level of customer service. I would definitely return to this location so long as Mike works there!

From finding the correct wipers to installing them. She also noticed that my wiper fluid was almost empty and filled the reservoir as well. This review is an easy 5 stars. I will be back!
