James Roach: I booked my appointment with Katie about two weeks prior to my appointment. Booking was super easy and efficient. Got several reminders ahead of time as well some quick tips (first tattoo ever!) Once I arrived, I was quickly greeted by the staff and Katie, and Katie went over the design with me, as well as asked a few questions to make sure everything was going to be perfect. The environment itself is relaxed, and honestly made me feel better about it being my first one. Once we got into the tattoo room, Katie made sure I was comfortable and got right to work. You can always tell when someone is passionate about their work, and that is very true of Katie. After the tattoo was done, she went over a few things to be aware of, and what to do for proper healing. I was also able to reach out to her days after the appointment for follow up questions and she was more than happy to help. I am absolutely thrilled with my new tattoo and more than happy with the service provided. Will definitely be back for my next tattoos!

I have 8 ear piercings all from different places and this place is the only one that my piercings have healed correctly because they pierced them properly, used the right materials, and gave me the proper aftercare advice. If you want to successfully heal a piercing and get it done correctly, I would highly recommend Hillsborough. The people there are also really friendly (I’ve met some mean piercers in my life). Roselyne St. Phard: The bedside manner here is fantastic; the receptionists were clear about pricing and paperwork was quick and easy. I was able to text about pricing and ask questions before I came in. Even though we came in 10 mins after they opened, there was a group ahead of us. Our visit took about an hour and 45mins (mine for one piercing was an hour). Bear in mind they can’t give any estimates for how long the service will take so plan accordingly. My piercer Rikki was really kind, talked me through the whole process and made sure I was comfortable and involved. She asked me to come back for a follow up and recommended I wait another 6 months before changing jewelry. My roommates piercer Christian was equally kind and patient. We were both given complimentary nasal spray. My roommate did like 5 face piercings for 400 or so and my nose piercing ($80) and a jewelry replacement ($45) for my other nose piercing was $139. Definitely recommend.

He walked me through the whole process, offered his advice for placement and explained everything clearly so it was easy to understand. He also took the time to explain everything along the way since this was my first tattoo and gave me tips on what to do during. HIGHLY recommend Steve and Triple Moon Tattoo. The entire staff was great!

Stephanie Ermi: I got my tattoo back in January of 2018. I remember the event very well, as it was my first tattoo, and I was beyond excited to work with Blair. I drove almost an hour for the consultation a few weeks before. I was expecting at least a simple sketch or some sort of layout of my tattoo idea. When I met with her, I was surprised to be in and out within 10 minutes and to just hear, “Oh yeah! I can do that. That won’t take too long. I’ll see you at your appointment.” As it being my first tattoo, I assumed that maybe this was the norm for busier artists and that she would take the time during my appointment. I still stayed very optimistic and excited. I went home, sent her all the information and pictures she requested, and waited for a few weeks.At my appointment on 1/31/18, I went into the shop ready to go! My tattoo was a kind of cartoonish version of my two dogs, each surrounded by flowers that have associations with adjectives describing them. She spent about 3 minutes looking at my dogs’ pictures and letting me describe them. She then spent another minute listening and writing the flowers I wanted around them. She then went to her office and came back within 10 minutes with a sketch. She asked how it looked. Assuming she would take some time to touch up, I remember saying along the lines of, “Overall pretty good, but one of the dog’s snouts is a little too big and the dogs aren’t proportionally right.” She said ok, and next thing I know she was placing the stencil. The placement was great, but I noticed after she created the stencil, the changes I mentioned had not been made. She quickly thinned the snout but said, “If I thin it much more, it won’t work out well.” She reassured me she would do her best during the tattooing to make the changes. Even though I had a feeling that I wasn’t getting the effort I wanted, I continued to trust her because of her stellar reviews and beautiful pieces on social media.During the tattoo, Blair was great to talk to and I really enjoyed the session. She was pretty gentle and I would describe the pain level as low.Fast forward to the end of the session. She showed me the tattoo. I look at the front half and it’s close to perfect. Turn and look at the back of my arm, and I immediately notice that the changes still were not reflected. I was heartbroken, but not wanting to be rude I just said that it looked good even though I know I shouldn’t have. I immediately left the parlor after paying and tried not to cry. I had a beautiful tattoo of one my male dog, and then a stranger dog next to him. She is much smaller, leaner, and has a less blocky head, but next to him in the tattoo she looks bigger and doesn’t look much like her. Maybe it seems silly that I was so upset that this cartoony dog didn’t look like mine. But I had such high expectations of Blair due to her reputation, friends’ reviews, Google reviews, and her beautiful Instagram page. And I just felt so disappointed that I didn’t feel listened to and I have a permanent tattoo that I’m not 100% happy with. Two years later, I still wish I demanded to see the sketch fixed before letting the tattoo begin. I even wish that I just left that day without getting the tattoo. And for the past two years, I’ve been trying to figure out how someone could fix it. I by no means want to say anything bad about Blair’s abilities, because it is still a lovely piece. The watercolor work on the flowers was simple but delicate. I am in love still with the flowers. I really just wish there was a better consultation and markup process in my experience.

Maru Isturiz: Nate is the best tattoo artist you can find around here! He’s super patience and knows extremely well what his doing. The wait is totally well worthy to get what you want! Also Blair and Akira are tremendously nice people, they have an outstanding clean and peaceful local with gorgeous animals that are family to them and the way they treat them can talk long good about their self!

Sheena Kilgore: Not only is Blair an amazing artist, but she is such a lovely person. Her, her husband, and the other artist made me feel right at home. They are wonderful people and I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place!

Haley Reconnu: The wait to get an appointment was very long... and worth EVERY SECOND! Blair was amazing and my tattoo turned out lovely. I was one of those needy clients with a handful of concepts but not a solid idea and she worked with me to include everything important while making sure it would hold up from a technical perspective (reading well up close, from far away, and would continue to look nice with movement). Super clean lines, colors look amazing, I will definitely be back in the future!

K Clark: The folks at the shop are very nice and I enjoyed that they had a dog in the shop too. Femme Fatale was highly recommended to me. It was several months before I could get an appointment. The guy I worked with did a good job designing the tattoo based on what I asked for. All of that being said, I have a problem with their ink. I have other tattoos from another shop (which I didn't choose for this tattoo because they're based in my hometown several hours away). I got this tattoo in June of 2018. It still swells/raises up on my skin and itches, almost a year later. You can physically feel the outline of the tattoo on my skin, which hasn't happened with any of the other tattoos I have. Additionally, the tattoo dried out as a result of me not using the proper moisturizer (I should've known better but the artist told me I could use "any unscented lotion"). I love what the tattoo is and I was treated very well by the artists, but I'm disappointed that it is still bothersome almost a year later.
