Monique F.: The supervisor on duty had me go to the store because my uber eats order was wrong. So I drive there on my lunch break and the supervisor decided he wanted to go back on his word after I got there. He acused me for the issues with my order and his staff in the back of him was laughing at me and shouting It was my fault. I left my partially complete order there with the supervisor and walked out. My food was cold and poorly packed. That wasn't my fault. Turns out the uber eats app is to blame for my order being incorrect. This was the most humiliating and terrible experience I have ever had at Alpaca, I will never eat at the Capital blvd store again.

Glenn Million: They supposedly close at 9pm. You better get there before 8pm though because these people are lazy. Walked in at 8:23 on the spot and we were told they only have white meat chicken… makes sense they probably only cook a certain amount a day. We said that’s fine… and moved on to the sides where the lady behind the register listed of maybe 4 of the total amount of sides they have… we asked for fries and they said no we don’t have any… we then asked for fried plantains… we quickly caught on that they have them they just don’t want to cook them. So I asked and she said “because we are closing”, um excuse me it’s 35 minutes before the times it says you close on the door. Typical situation where they are lazy and want to all be able to leave right at 9pm. I hate places like this that value themselves on the customer service they provide when they really don’t. Glad they are moving, won’t be going to the new location.

Robert Greene: Really good food - my favorite thing were the Peruvian drinks. Apparently, this is the only place that serves them. Often, the music perks up the atmosphere even more.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Maduros Fried Sweet Plantains, Quarter White, Whole Chicken, Arroz Chaufa Salad …More
newag718: This place used to be good but they got rid of their green beans and the chicken was smaller and dry last time. Go to Alpaca if you want good Peruvian chicken and the amazing green beans that Mami's used to have.Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Ziad Noueihed: I'm very disappointed: This place used to be so much better before Covid: The food, the rotisserie smells, the seating area, the atmosphere, ...First time I go back after Covid, and unfortunately it seems to have changed for the worse: Much "colder", very impersonal overall vibe. No fountain drinks (only bottled drinks...), you have to ask for condiments (ketchup, sauces, etc), silverware, and (tiny) water cups (the only drink available self serve...). As for the food, the chicken is (very) dry, especially for rotisserie (and I had the dark meat...). The sides are a hit or miss: For example, the rice is very dry but the fries are very good, and this applies to other sides. The green sauce is delicious. The only thing that is still really good is the Staff: Very friendly and helpful. It really pains me to leave such a review as this used to be a great, tasty place which had personality, and which I really liked. It has unfortunately definitely changed for the worse
Jaime Ochoa: Place was busy, although the food coming out of the kitchen did not appeal to our Peruvian senses. It was appreciated by foreign palates though. And they had good flow of customers, then again the dishes were not presented as traditionally made Peruvian food. The rotisserie chicken was charred black. And the meats looked dried up. They had a combination of Hispanic dishes, which probably meant that the cooks were not Peruvian and were presenting their take on Peruvian food.
Dwight Hallman: Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
J Lipoff: We waited a very long time for food, which we never ended up getting because we left as there were cockroaches crawling around the table. Received a refund at least, but no one seemed concerned when I informed them of the German cockroach situation. Go to Alpaca instead, which has the same cuisine but is clean, fast, friendly, and cheaper.
O. Modesto Chicas: The food is great but is one of the most expensive places in the area, also with the dirty restrooms.Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Scott H: Another "chain" expands across the area .. this is still the best!Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Niover Licea: Good food, better than alpaca, similar menu .. excellent service and cut services.. the place need more attention but looks good . My lomo salteado was great the chicken rostisseire could be better. Congratulations
Priya Mohan: Okish food. The fried rice was good but the rest was a bit bland for my liking. Service was good.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

christine hamby: Absolutely the best chicken! Food is consistently outstanding!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Bennie MacEntyre: Great chicken and really really fresh tasting vegetables….. back again, and the food was even better, I had the lomo Saltado can you was the best steak I have had in sometime, fresher, tasting him better than the lion steakhouse we went to..Eli the manager came around and checked on us a couple of times as well as checking with other customers super nice guy. We highly recommend this place and we will be back.
Jean Sloboda: Nicely seasoned chicken. Smaller portion thoughFood: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5Recommended dishes Roasted Chicken …More
Camerons Culinarium: Wow! Their rotisserie chicken is so good! Tender and juicy, and the flavors penetrate all the way through the meat. Fresh cut fries are great, and the black beans are packed with flavor. Be sure to try their green and yellow sauces, too! The green is a mild pepper sauce, and the yellow seems like a vinegar based sauce. Both are delicious on the chicken. The plantains were really well done, too. Just the right amount of soft sweetness. This is a new lunch spot for me,no doubt.
Benjamín Rodríguez: Muy caro venden el pollo en este local en otros locales lo venden más barato. Aparte que las papas ya estaban duras viejas.
Chelsea Drda, D.C.: Best “fast food” experience we have had in ages! Would pick this over Chipotle, Moes, or any other quick service food any time! This may be quick but it doesn’t taste like it. Food is fresh, flavorful, and worth a second plate (or third). Will definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

jeff hyland: Came here for Lunch as it was suggested by people at the airport while on a quick layover. When we walked in we were greeted by Eli the manager. He saw us looking at the menu a little confused as it was our first time here, he took the time to explain to us how it worked and what he suggested. He even offered to let us try a few things if we wanted. We proceeded to order which was super simple and very efficient. The food was excellent, atomsphere was great and Eli continued to check on us and follow up on how experience was. All around 5 stars and highly suggest this place for lunch or dinner!

Javon Walker: The chicken sandwich is so good, Chicken thighs are often underrated, but this was crispy and juicy. The cat fish was fried well, and the Carolina reaper oil was hot and flavorful but not sure about getting it on the full sandwich. Coleslaw a bit too bitter but overall really good meal.

Malika Jeffries-EL: They don't take reservations and we waited a while for a table for 7. Which then became 8 when one member of our party invited someone else to join. When they learned of this addition we were asked to get up from the table and return to waiting outside for another table. They insisted that you could not add on to a table, yet after that whole process we were seated again at the same table. The chicken is good, but the menu is limited.
Alyssa Chapman: Really liked the catfish! Service was also excellent, but food came out slowly. Went mid-day on a Monday and it was a zoo. Lots of families with kids (summertime).Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Mia M: Took my daughter & nephew for brunch! Our server was very attentive. She had great energy! We tried 4 items on the menu... waffle and eggs, pot pie & Reaper & Nashville chicken sandwiches. I don't like thigh meat, but I did bite the sandwiches. I still dont like thigh meat, so i guess Beasleys didn't make me a believer. My daughter loved the pot pie, the gravy was very tasty & the waffle was the best I've had anywhere hands down. My nephew didn't want to share the waffle with us. He's 2...Trust me the waffle is really good!Kid-friendliness: My nephew enjoyed had a blast as we named all the different color socks we saw on other patrons while we waited for our food.
Amari Moody: Someone must speak the truth: the quality of the food has significantly declined. The chicken lacks flavor and only tastes like honey. However, the waffle was enjoyable. (FYI all sandwiches are made with dark meat)Food: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Candace Rain: The food was good but the prices are a bit much. 😕Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Cecilia L: I had to come to Raleigh, NC to drop in this fabulous restaurant. I went for dinner with my fiance and we had a great experience. We were seated within 5 min, we had a lovely server that told us about the menu and their most popular dishes and the meal and drinks were so tasty. I wanted the chicken with honey, pimento macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes and he wanted chicken wings and apple cider vinegar collard greens. Sooo good. We both got a signature cocktail and delighted with the fancy flavors. The restaurant was clean and neat with relaxed seating. I definitely recommend this restaurant. We really enjoyed it
David Ethridge: Offering a wide array of southern delicacies, this place packs in the flavor … and the people. Brunch goes until 3 on the weekends and the wait can be up to an hour. We got there just before brunch service ended and there was still a 20 minute wait. Well worth it though…even without the brunch menu available there was still plenty of mouth watering dishes to choose from. We each ordered a chicken breast, Toby got the waffle with his. The chicken was delicious, everything I want in southern style fried chicken. Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The waffle was one of the best I’ve ever had. Truly. Crispy yet fluffy, you could eat it without the syrup. For sides we shared the Pimento Mac & Cheese Custard. As the name implies, this is good old-fashioned baked mac & Cheese with an egg and cheddar base. The use of Pimento cheese really made it scrumptious. Our other side was Cheese Grits Fries: they take congealed cheesy grits, slice it up then roll it in cornmeal and deep fry them. So amazing. Served with malt aioli and chow-chow
Jim Perry: Got seated at the bar instead of waiting a half hour for a table. Seating turned out to be great, the service was great. But the highlight was the food! There are a lot of interesting items on the menu but we went for their signature item "Chicken & Waffles" It was everything I could have hoped for. It was marvelous!Parking: Lots of paid parking
Renee McAllister: Beautiful presentation of the menu and food! Seating was within 2 minutes of entering restaurant. The waitress was warm and friendly. The honey chicken wings, mac&cheese with pimento cheese was amazing. The collard greens were tender and seasoned to perfection!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Chris Hemedinger: Great coffee and a nice place to meet a friend or two to catch up. It's not huge, but I've always found a place to sit.
Kyle Nacci: Ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a croissant with tomato and maple bacon spread. Was pretty tasty. Place wasn’t anything exceptional but was a good place to work out of for a couple hours.
Lawrence Cole: Nice place for coffee and great avocado toast.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
charles murray: First the coffee and atmosphere are great! However, recently we went in at 2:25pm. There was a guy cleaning and sweeping and he kept telling everyone that they close at 3:30. I’m thinking ok, but it’s 2:30 now. Was very annoying. Many customers were irritated by this. Otherwise it’s a great place just don’t go close to closing time.
Braxton Carter: Espresso was average. A bit sour/ over extracted.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Pierre B: Excellent flat white and açaí bowl. Tastes fresh, not too sweet, just right.
David Hertzberg: Very nice place.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Matthew Keller: Best coffee in town.
Michaela Morales: The environment is fine to do some work. The outlets could be better - some are pretty crusty/loose (potential electrical hazard?). I noticed the coffee quality isn’t as consistent as I would like for a local shop. I have ordered americano, cappuccino, and a vanilla latte here, and unfortunately I have not been impressed. The flavors don’t capture the richness of the coffee, and the flavor is off! I also think it’s odd that the Black & White coffee beans are sold here (that is what I often use at home) but the taste of the drinks don’t match up - do they use different beans from the ones they sell? Other than my disappointment in the coffee, the baristas have always been polite and friendly, and I like that the shop has its own crowd of regulars that I’ve begun to recognize. The community is small, but it is comforting.
Travis Gallo: Friendly staff
Cate Foy: I've been coming to this Cafe since 2004. It's changed owners since then, but still remains a wonderful addition to our little community up here in North West Raleigh. The drinks are well made, the food is delicious (and served as large portions!), and they have tasty homemade bakery items. It's quiet, the vibe is easy going, and it has a good amount of natural sunlight to help brighten your day.My only complaint is that they close at 3:30. Like many people who visit here, I work remotely. I do not like leaving this wonderful, peaceful place just before the work day is over to go to Panera or Starbucks for an hour. Please, please consider closing at 5.
Vending Solutions: I’ve been here twice now and will definitely be going back. Good coffee. Sandwiches are pretty expensive but really tasty and huge portions.
Brandy Coker: Yum!! The coffee was amazing and the seating was quite comfortable. Wifi was lightning fast. The only reason I did not give it five stars is due to them closing so early in the day. Would have been a great place to finish the working day when working remote. Will be back for the yummy coffee, though.
Kim Pickett: I wish they had some color on the walls. Just a little plain.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Charlie G: Great coffee shop run by people who know coffee. Don't live here anymore, but try to come here when I visit. I remember this place when it was New World Music Cafe around 2000. I remember the closed off room that was neat. It's more open now though. Same feel as years past even though I think the owners have changed once or twice. That's usually a good sign for a business if new owners maintain what works since it means they know their customers and product.Update - some reviewers have mentioned the attitude of the staff and owner. I haven't seen this personally that I remember. I do think they try to maintain a good coffee quality and art. Some coffee shops that are more relaxed and cozy sometimes end up closing because they have enough people who sit and don't order (much). So keep in mind that it's a business. If you want atmosphere then be willing to pay a cover charge.

Diana Dunn: The drinks were tasty. Biscuit was too hard and biscuit could have been warmer. The blueberry jam was tasty but the butter wasn’t complimentary to the biscuit. Overall the biscuit is a great value for the price. Shrimp and grits were okay. The grits needed to be cooked a little bit longer, shrimp had a slight fishy taste to it but the lemon helped to overcome that. The goat cheese was a perfect pairing for the grits but overall it needed more flavor, salt, and less liquid; it was swimming in sauce that didn’t really add to the dish. The chicken and waffles were the most disappointing, mostly because they have several different varieties on the menu so I expected more. The waffle was delicious but smaller than I expected it to be. The chicken was so disappointing because the outside was crispy but had a bitter and burnt taste to it like the grease needed to be changed, the outside of the chicken had an insane amount of pepper but the inside had NO salt, NO seasoning, NO flavor at all. The gravy for the chicken was very nice. The pecan pie was the star of the show! The pie was perfect in every way down to the crust. I wish the slice was larger for the price point. Overall, I’d walk in for the pie again but I wouldn’t go for the food, especially considering how much everything cost; the hype of the restaurant, the line I normally see outside the door, it doesn’t add up to what I had today; it was truly disappointing.
Gen M.: My sister made a reservation for 6 people for 10:30am, but the system, for some reason, didn't show it. We were about to be turned around by this young man. But, this nice young lady at the check-in accommodated us. She showed southern hospitality. I will be back again.Overall, it was a nice experience 👌
Chandra Jennings: What can I say about Tupelo Honey that hasn't probably been said. Delicious food, friendly and over the top service, and cool atmosphere. After a very hot and exhausting walk I stumbled into Tupelo and was warmly greeted by the hostess. My phone was on nothing and she offered to charge it for me. And when we found a table near a plug she and the waitresses happily helped me move. I chilled in the corner and worked while taking in the scenery. I love the cool farmhouse feel with pops of blue and dream catchers on the wall.I checked out their menu and there are lots of great options, especially their sides and appetizers! But, I decided to order their original fried chicken with white meat and green beans as my side. The chicken has a touch of honey, which excited me! What also excited me was being able to try the sweet and hot sauce that came with the other chicken. My food came out quickly, so fast! Upon trying the green beans first they were a little flat, but a little salt and pepper helped! Now the chicken--wow! So wishing I would've gotten the half bird as it was crunchy, salty, and sweet all at the same time. Every bite gave me a different flavor and it was so good! The pickles that come with it are delicious as well and so I had to order some more--it was just .50 cent more and they are house made!!So will I be back, oh yes! I want to try their beef and chorizo meatloaf next!

Tiffany Wright: Food was great but parking sucks. Our car and another ended up getting blocked in by a car and the restaurant wouldn’t even make an announcement. They wanted us to call around looking for a tow company to tow the car on a Sunday. We didn’t want to do it. When we called the company they said that they couldn’t do it. The restaurant won’t do anything! Park at your own risk!!!!Update! Had to call the precinct and get the authorities involved. Will call corporate tomorrow

Hillel Dorel: A surprisingly excellent experience. Wife and I are always looking for something good to eat and a good place to eat it, and this was it. The food was excellent, and the service was way above what was needed or expected. If you are looking for some good'ol southern cooking, look no further. This place has it. Looking forward to our next visit.
Stephen Davis: This is one of my family’s go to spots and one I wanted to dine at on Father’s Day. The Hostess, Food and Atmosphere were great except for the young waitress we had who went MIA a few times. She never checked to see if we needed anything after our food was delivered. I actually had to ask another waitress to get her as we 15 mins for the check. With all that we still gave her a 20% tip.Now will we visit this location again, ABSOLUTELY!!! This was our first bad experience here and we have had too many good ones to cancel TH from our dining rotation.
Katherine Beavers: Good - meat and grits had nice flavor but the onion rings were cold and greasy. Green beans mushy and no collards ?!? The menu stated “shredded” roast beef (no such thing). It’s pot roast. Which was good but that’s what the menu should say !Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
