STEM For Kids - North Raleigh: what do users think?
Sarah Briggs: We did a camp early in the summer. My son had a great time. We loved being kept updated on what the children were learning throughout the camp week. We ended up doing another camp with them this summer. The new Biomedical engineering camp is super exciting! Instructors make it a lot of fun. I highly recommend this camp. We will be back with our friends to checkout their STEM Saturday classes.
N Cane: Fun learning programs for kids. Our kids have done STEM Saturdays and trackout camps.
Mika Scarlett: Camps are not as described and they have poor customer service.I signed my 6th grader up for a camp that was advertised as 4th through 7th grade. When he arrived at camp, my son was paired with rising 2nd and 3rd graders. The camp was also labeled as a level 2 robotics camp. However, it was a very basic intro class. The first hour of class was spent filling out questionnaires - not doing any building or programming. My son was so uncomfortable he did not want to return. At the end of class I explained our concerns and asked to speak with a director/owner. I was told the director did not give out her email, phone number or name to customers.(Huge red flag!!) They refused to refund the money for the remaining days of camp even though the camp was not at all as described. It was their mistake, but they refused to rectify it.

SMILE Camp: what do users think?
Jane Miller: The best camp we've ever tried! My young teen went to engine camp and learned so much. They took apart and rebuilt a variety of engines from a weed whacker to a V12. They went above and beyond to make sure the kids learned a lot about the topic and had so much fun. Counselors were knowledgeable and helpful. Activities were educational and engaging. Our child will definitely be returning to try another one of their amazing camps.
Geneva Yourse: This camp was fantastic! When I picked up my 2 kiddos, they didn't want to leave! The different activities were engaging and fun. They have been talking about it all evening.
Josh Darville: This camp is AMAZING! The things you're not told up front is that the kids can come home with what they made that week, and for example the learn to code through Minecraft kids ALL receive a Raspberry Pi already loaded with Minecraft, that's like a $50 value, AND lunch is included. WOW! What a great program, plus they hang out in a safe environment with other kids who are smart looking to learn all kinds of science. Material, Mechanical, Programming, theory, periodic charts, gravity, etc. etc. etc.
Brendan Delaney: A great great camp where kids learn while doing. Hands on and and a fun time!

Giggles Drop-In Child Care of Raleigh: what do users think?
Maria: My children love visiting Giggles. The staff are super fun and extremely kind to the kids. I’m also happy that they offer spring break camp. I will be recommending this location to family and friends.
Amber Stoddart: I don't drop my son off very often, but I know when I do I can count on Jill and Lindsey, as well as the rest of the Giggles crew to take care of my boy to the best of their ability. They've always been communicative, positive, and willing to help whenever they can. You guys absolutely rock, and I don't say that about a lot of places. GIVE THESE WOMEN A RAISE!
Ricky Gioconda: This place rocks! I recently dropped off my children here for a couple hours and needless to say that had a great time! The staff is super friendly and engaged and the building is secure. This will absolutely become a weekly activity for us!
Kyesha Jennings: I live 5 minutes away from the center and have been following/admiring Giggles prior to becoming a mom. Once I became a mom, I truly looked forward to using their services. Let me preface this review by saying that when I picked up my daughter she seemed well taken care of. The two younger employees who had here were friendly and shared how much they enjoyed my toddler. My review is specifically in reference to the lack of customer service when we first walked in. I wish I could remember the woman's name (Maybe Erica...she's pregnant though)--she did not represent the business in a manner where a first time customer would want to return. Her entire demeanor was very aloof. I wasn't provided a formal/proper introduction (i.e. is this your first time here?), nor was I provided a tour or explanation of how the center is ran. Because of the lack of customer service, we spent the first five minutes trying to find my name in the system and the woman was becoming visibly impatient when not being able to find my name was 100% her fault. She did not even check my ID when checking me in.The most attractive feature that this center provides is the live stream camera. I had to specifically ask about the camera and how to access the stream. When I had trouble logging in, again, she came across as very annoyed. My first introduction to this business and the services they offer, specifically with this one employee was unpleasant to say the least. We will not be using Giggles services in the future. I truly hope that they prioritize training their employees on providing the best customer service to ALL parents.
Courtney Rice: My son has been to this location as was as the Cary location and he absolutely loves Giggles! He enjoys hanging out with the kids there (his friends) & the staff are so welcoming! I was a bit nervous leaving him at a drop In daycare but the open space & visibility of the entire area put me at ease. My son truly enjoys this Drop In Center & we will definitely be coming again.
Erin D: Our children have always enjoyed their time at Giggles. Easy drop off and pick up procedure. Peace of mind knowing kids are taken care of while out running errands or date night.
M Smith: Great place for ALL my kids!!! Ages 1, 5 and 7. Lots of caregivers there, lots of things for the kids to do, easy drop off and pick up. Kids loved it! Even our one year old lights up when we are walking towards the front door!!!! Great for date nights.
Carson Shearer: Thank you, North Raleigh Giggles staff! My spouse and I were over due for a date night and your staff and facility gave us comfort in caring for our 4 & 6 year old. Much appreciated!
Kris Bottiglier: I don’t know what these people are talking about we have always had a great experience at this facility. The staff is always so sweet and helpful and caring for my kiddos. Feel safe here also!
Rob Morgan: A quick note to say thank you to Giggles for providing our children with a safe and fun environment. We've had three kids come through there, at various times, and Giggles has always been welcoming and accommodating. Some of the staff has changed through the years, but Lindsay is our girl! She captains a great ship, and we will be forever grateful to her and her employees for helping raise our kids! Cheers, Rob
Sharmeece Johnson: The employees was every rude and unprofessional, the building smells like urine i just doesn’t suggest you leave your child there.
Lachelle McGirt: I can’t say enough good things about this place. We’ve been using Giggles since we moved to Raleigh and it’s been the same from beginning to now. The staff is always friendly, smiling and remember us.The prices are affordable and they really do care about the kids. No matter how hectic things seem they always have it under control (seriously, they rock!).My son asks to go here and I am happy to oblige. Thanks to Jill and staff!! You guys rock!
Danielle Clifton: This is NOT a good option for 1 year olds. You should consider changing the age limit. The entire time I was in the facility I didn’t see any of the caregivers interacting with the children whatsoever. Just standing and talking.Supposedly they “tried everything” to get my daughter to stop crying but when I returned, she was sitting on the floor sobbing while a CHILD was consoling her, and three caregivers were chatting at the front desk. She didn’t seem to have had a diaper change or any food/water (apparently their “snack” is at 10:30?) and was there for 2 hours.I will not be coming back and I will definitely be speaking out about how the experience was to any and all parents that I can talk to. I’m not happy with this place and you should find caregivers that actually spend time with the children in their care. 😡
REBECCA WILKINS: I cannot say enough great things about this place! They are the lifesaver I never knew I needed. I started bringing my grandkids here shortly after they opened the Cary location 8 years ago. My grandkids live out of town but frequently visit with me and sometimes this Nana just needs a little bit of down time. It brings me peace of mind to know that I have a safe place that they enjoy going to play while I take the much-needed time to myself. They always have the best time and that’s the first thing they ask at the beginning of each visit with me, “when are we going to Giggles!” We visit both the Cary and Raleigh locations depending on what else we are doing that day and they absolutely love both centers. I would hands down recommend Giggles to anyone and everyone, they have made it possible for me to continue to let my grandkids visit frequently but give me a little rest as needed.
Brittany Jones: Positive:Reliability,Value
Tabitha Johnson: This drop in center has always been courteous, kind, and eager to make my child feel welcome. My 6 year old absolutely loves spending time there and socializing with his friends. There are tons of activities for him to participate in and the after school program that provides van pickup as well as homework guidance is so convenient! Jill and Makayla as well as all of the other staff members are fantastic!
Caitlin Roberts: Posted the same review on the Cary location but had to give the Raleigh some love too since we use both, depending on where my husband and I are working. Both locations are equally great!!Giggles has been a LIFESAVER!! We have a regular daycare we use but sometimes we have teacher workdays or my husband and I work half days and don’t want to make the drive to daycare for a short few hours…that’s where Giggles comes in. I love that it literally works as a “drop-in” daycare, so if you have last minute plans, mother-in-laws falls through, etc. you don’t have to explain anything to them-they’re always there ready. My son loves the atmosphere and leaves all played-out with a smile on his face. We always feel safe leaving him there. The staff is always super attentive and doesn’t mind my nervous mom calls to check in. Highly recommend
Patrick Gillespie: Our child LOVES Giggles! He spends the entire car ride there talking about all his friends that he wants to play with and when we get there he is greeted by a group of them chanting his name! When we pick him up he always comes running to the gate with a big smile and usually a couple kids in tail yelling "BYE" to him. All the counselors know him by name and often times will find them holding him in their lap. It's comforting knowing the days when he isn't as active and is more snuggly that the staff is happy to comfort him.
Catrina Nakamoto: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueI love Giggles! It’s a great place to drop the kids and even last minute for a night out. They have a great time and get to play with other children. The staff is fun and friendly. I definitely recommend them to everyone.
Versailles Gonzalez: My kids have been going to Giggles for 5 years I think, it feels like forever, they are like an extended family and my kids LOVE going! The prices are extremely reasonable and honestly can't be beat. They also have wonderful hourly packages you can buy. The staff is super caring and I am just so thankful that we found Giggles all these years ago.The hours are great too, perfect for date nights and I love the theme nights they have!
Matthew Houchins: Great staff and best prices around.

New Life Camp: what do users think?
lucy kamau: Great place for children to learn about leadership
Caden Woosley: I started attending New Life when I was in the 5th grade (I am now a college sophomore). I can honestly say going to New Life was one of the biggest contributions to molding me into who I am today. I have worked on the summer staff for 5 summers now and cannot recommend a better summer job for high school/college aged kids. The growth you will experience both as a believer and just from a social aspect is amazing! The things you learn at camp will translate to future jobs and will be skills you use for the rest of your life!
Stephanie: 2 kids attended summer day camp and absolutely loved everyday! Such a positive experience for both kids. One started out very nervous and the counselors were all very understanding and encouraging. Great communication daily! Look forward to checking out more things nlc has to offer!
Amy Flaherty Sheppard: Awesome programs and classes for homeschoolers! Every staff member and teacher has been great. We love New Life Camp!
K S: My child had a wonderful time last summer at overnight camp and is so excited to come back this year. The counselors and leadership are truly so impressive. Glad to have found this place
Jim French: Because you get two snacks and drinks a day for free. Lots of fun activities like dodgeball. Playing games with points about how much spirit you have. See many good counselors. You get to swim in a lake with a slide and pool.
Marsiase Brinson: My daughter loved every minute of it!
Vickie Koch: I cannot say enough positive things about this incredible camp! My grandson had the very best time this year and it is largely due to the awesome counselors he had! Gabe and Daniel were wonderful!
Dan A: This the best place to send your teen transitioning to work and a great place to send your children if you want Christ centered fun & excitement. They all learn about teaching, leadership and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Jason Motley: Nothing I can write can adequately express how happy I am with this camp. As a homeschooling family we have tried several different programs and this is the one program that both of my kids attend and that they both love. They cry when the semester ends and they know they won't be back for a week or 2.
Nicole Batalias: What a beautiful, wholesome environment, where a kid can be a kid! Can't say enough about New Life Camp! My son loves it and that makes me a "happy camper"!
jeanette woods: Would not recommend this camp to anyone. I am aware of campers at two camps the summer of 2021 that were allowed to be bullied even after camp counselors were made aware of the situations
Kay Bagwell: Great place for kids!! They have wonderful caring staff and place an importance on safety.
Brenda Purnell: My grand kids had an absolute blast! Thank you all!
Boron Molecular: NLC is awesome, this is our second year (both entire summer at NLC). My kid loves the counselors, the groups activities, puppets, games, pool, snack shack.*****I have only one negative side to point out*****The teams/flags idea is great B-U-T if your kid attends more than one week here, be prepared for lots of crying. As attendance changes from week to week... One week your kid will be in a group with the younger kids. The next week they get moved to next flag with kids similar age/slightly older. Then the next week they may return to the younger group. With the flag/team idea being said: those kids who attend regularly are looking forward to being "promoted" to the next level.... So it has been stressful two weeks in a roll watching our kid begging not to go to camp. Also, last week of their summer program: with less attendance they mix the kids even more. My kid was with the tiny kids and her friend was in a group-two flags up. If you have a 5-9 years-old, you know the drill...We are considering next year send her to other Summer camps and some weeks at NLC, so we can avoid the same frustration and headache for us and the camp. We called+email. I don't want to be the annoying parent, but I have to admit I am one right now! Sorry NLC staff! That apart, it is an AWESOME place for your kids!Kids know counselors by names and some of the favs are Kelsey, Evan, Olivia, Kenzie and Matt.We are also so appreciative of knowing this is a place kids can meet Jesus. The songs are well chosen, the Bible Memory verses and the stories. Having your kid experience that at an early age is a blessing from Heavens! And NLC does it well! Not only us but family, friends, neighbors, school friends hear all about NLC from our girl. It is a positive sign, right? :)Our daughter can't wait to be old enough for overnight camp.Thank you for making it so much fun!
Janice Casterline: BEST SUMMER CAMP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- First year camper
Chris Harbinson: Just dropped girls off for an exciting week of Camp. They loved it as daycampers last year...sure doing overnight will be an added bonus this year.
Michael Jefferson: My grandson has attended this camp for the last couple of years and always looks forward to it. The only negative I can say about the whole experience was the pick up on the last day. I was told to arrive between 630 and 650. I waited in line in bumper-to-bumper pick up traffic for almost 45 minutes. The pick up process seemed to be unorganized and not very well thought out. There didn’t seem to be anyone directing the process or any kind of plan to have the campers ready to go for when they’re rides waited in line. They really need to have somebody in charge address that.
Lynne: They have excellent programs for homeschoolers and put forth the effort to get kids in-person classes this year which meet weekly. Everything has gone really well. The teachers are outstanding. Both of my boys learned how to write proper essays and lab reports. Math classes were great too. An excellent supplement to at home learning. I just wish they offered even more courses.
daniel fredette: Best camp ever!!!!
Wendy Schulz: Our kids have participated in summer camp and Storm homeschool sports. What an incredible place!!! Amazing sports community - great coaches - wonderful program! We love New Life Camp and Storm Sports!!!

Wild at Art Kids: what do users think?
Arlen Mabe: Wild at Art is such a fun and amazing place for kids! The studio is so eclectic/cool and you feel right at home! Very kid-friendly. We hosted my son's birthday party here recently and not only did the kids love the free expression art projects, the parents were so impressed with the space too! We look forward to coming back, thank you Cyndi!
Breuna Chavies: I utilized the Wild at Art Kids Studio for my daughter’s 7th birthday party. At first, the communication between the manager, Cyndi, and I was great! She informed me that there would be a $50 deposit that would go towards the overall price and the remaining balance would be paid the day of the event. She also informed me that the artist would arrive at 1:30 because the children would begin painting at 2, this will allow the artist enough time to set up and be available for the kids promptly at 2. The first issue my husband and I had was that the artist was LATE! She did not show up to my house until 2:06 and she was supposed to be at my house at 1:30! Secondly, the artist was NOT interactive with the kids at all. A few parents complained to me stating that all the artist did was pass out the paint brushes and paint and that’s it! Granted, I know it’s COVID season so I understand the social distancing, but she still could’ve been more interactive with the children by speaking with them, even if it was from a distance. Cyndi also informed me that along with the paint, the children would have extra crafts like glitter, feathers etc to put on their mermaids, the artist didn’t have any of that. I honestly feel like I wasted my money because the artist simply did what I could’ve done. There was no “wow” factor. Lastly, the artist charged $150 because she said only 15 canvases were used and it was $10 a piece. My husband paid the artist $160 because we did not have change, not realizing that she OVERCHARGED him because I already paid the studio a $50 deposit which was included in the overall price. So in total, my husband and I spent $210 dollars for subpar service that I could’ve done myself. I’ve been trying to contact Cyndi- the manager, for the past 2 days to discuss my frustrations and she will not return my phone calls or text messages. Hopefully we will come to a resolution, but until then, this poor review will suffice.
Dhikra A. Gmail: Very good place for art activities!!
Crystal Lefoy: Super creative and fun environment for children of all ages!
