Great Outdoor Provision Co.: what do users think?
T whitetail: Store had a good sale going on. Super friendly shoe guy.
Ed Vennik: Great selection, and knowledgeable staff.
Preston Ball: Needs better hiking clothes, especially for women.
Melanie Knight: Great place to shop for all kinds of provisions, including nice clothes--even for just regular living (there's a nice selection of shoes & socks too!). Just took my husband there on his birthday, and he picked out two summer shirts and a pair of socks. The people there are friendly and offer help when needed but are not overbearing. While the inventory is all new, stylish, and made in accordance with emerging technology, the customer service is wonderfully old school. Highly recommended.
Eric Hepburn: Great staff and service! John got me setup with my new kayak and trailer. Very knowledgeable and always ready to help! This is how you retail!
Jane Seo: I had ordered an Eagle Creek luggage and proceeded to this store to purchase. I couldn't find the item on the floor and asked an employee to help locate the item. I explained that I had ordered the item online and received confirmation. He seemed annoyed and walked us over to where all of the Eagle Creek items were located. The specific item that I ordered was not there. He then stated that not everything shown online is ACTUALLY available in the store, that it's not always in the inventory. He didn't bother to check in the back. Instead, he went to the front computer and kept saying that the store doesn't carry item. Eventually, the register showed the item in store. I persisted but he did not seem to want to help me make this purchase.
Andrew Smith: Friendly staff! Peyton was extremely helpful in answering my plethora of questions. Thanks again!
Nuna Business: Staff VERY knowledgable and helpful. When asking about items in store-they knew exactly what I needed. Always a pleasure to shop here.
Jim Cokonis: Good company and store. The selection of kayaks and knowledge of staff is VERY good. (This is what brought me in, they are a Hobie dealer)The only reason this is not five stars is one communication was dropped but it is not earth shattering. They also have a nice selection of ladies apparel for my wife. The store also teaches classes on fly fishing, tying and more.
Edd Hughes: Has everything you need for outdoors!
Ugo Vuotto: Friendly staff did not feel rushed or pressured into buying anything, Parking around xmas was a bit challenging, but definitely not their fault. Good brands are available.
Brian Ratti: Good quality products, good selection of dependable brands.
Sam Sigarto: Love that store.
Teresa: I went here to buy a pair of hiking shoes and the staff here was really helpful. They helped me try on different styles and sizes. I didn’t feel pressured to buy and I ended up buying a pair that was on sale. I learned that their return policy is about a month long, which is much shorter than REI.
Wes Hall - WalksOnOne: Great store and exceptional staff
Dave McWatters: Very helpful staff and they carry a good selection of gear.
Jeffrey Howard: Great selection and very reasonable prices!Sales and clearance racks are worth taking your time to go through!
Jill Mertens: Good service without being too in your face.
Mike K: Great store and people. While they didn't have what I was looking for today, I had fun shopping. Not sure how they make the floors creak in a modern building, but I love it.
Ray Barnette: Tremendous selection of outdoor wear.
Sean Deacon: Very friendly and helpful team, good selection of gear

REI: what do users think?
KW: I recently joined the cyclist life style, so I made a pit stop at REI Six Forks to pick up some equipment for my new bike. I was greeted with a smile and received white glove treatment. Kira assisted me along the way with product recommendations as she is an avid cyclist. She was amazing, and I appreciate the time she took to explain the purpose/value of certain equipment. I appreciate the excellent service at this location and will be back in the near future.
Brian Ratti: Probably the worst REI location for mens clothing. Looking for mens hiking shirts, I managed to find less than 10 total, excluding the REI. Same issue with shorts.
chan ham: Friendly staff and excellent location. However, my brompton was not ready as email and forgotten. Make sure you call to see your order status rather than just trusting email notifications.
Christopher Sanderford: They have it if you need it for your outdoor experience. Just be prepared to hunt parking due to being at the mall
Kayla: I am very delayed to getting this review up, but I wanted to give a special shout out to Reid, Lilly, and Beck. You guys were all so welcoming and warm which was very much needed for the time I was experiencing. Reid especially did an amazing job setting me up for success in order to live comfortably out of my car. He was very thoughtful and kept my best interests in mind when showing me around the store and picking out what I would and would not need. I’ve been to many REI stores and am a member, I can full heartedly say that this team fully exemplifies what I have come to benchmark as the REI experience and why I will only ever go to this outdoor store. You all showed me a kindness during a dark time in my life which I will never forget. Thanks again for providing both the products and knowledge I needed to be safe on the road.
Jonathon Cesaro: As always very knowledgeable friendly staff.
H. Gutierrez: GREAT store, very nice staff, and a good long-distance hiking class
James Willcox: Unparalleled customer service and customer care. Knowledgeable staff committed to helping customers not just selling products. REI is committed to the ecological balanced partnership between people and the enjoyment of the outdoors.
Summer Hedges: We picked up a roof box that we ordered online. The team members encouraged us to park at the loading dock, helped us open the box, inspect for any issues, and walked us through installation and gave us a lot of tips for use. So friendly and helpful, even on a busy weekend day. If we had to figure it out on our own, I am sure it would take 3 times as long! This will enable us to take an awesome trip with our pups later this month!
Patrick Dalton: Friendly and attentive staff, very helpful!
Lifting Covered: I’m sharing my experience in case it helps others. I’m sure it didn’t help that. This is the first time I’ve ever been into this mixed use development area and it was nice weather on a Saturday, hence very crowded.I ordered a bike rack to pick up from this location. It took me some effort to figure out where to park, and my only option was the parking garage. For pick up, you need to stand in line for the regular checkout counter. When it was my turn, the associate was able to locate the rack and because of the size it was on a dolly. I asked if I am able to bring my car because I parked in the garage. The situation was new for them so they said I should be able to park in the curbside pick up spot and not get towedIf you do this, be prepared to go back inside to get your item, load it and then bring the dolly back to them. Next time I’ll either do curbside or go to another location that’s more easily accessible.
Ca'ren Hudson: I came in for what I called my “hiking starter pack” and each and every employee I talked to was beyond helpful. Want to give a special shout-out to Cameron, Morgan & Beck who helped me find my pack and my shoes. I can’t wait to keep coming back!
Joel Oliver: Always helpful staff. And love the dividend
Luis Suarez: Loved that the team took the time to help me find the right size boots. Great customer service.
J Greens (therealjgreens): Several super friendly people here. Great experience.
Michael Shanken: Neat store with anything you need to enjoy the outdoors. Hiking, camping, biking, rock climbing, whatever you need, they have it. Friendly staff are always willing to help. This location is 2 stories, but there is an elevator in addition to the stairs.
Michael Saunders: Great customer service
Alison Williams: Had to exchange an item and Jack was so helpful and so accommodating during the transaction. I always have a good experience here.
Muniba Khan: This was my first time at REI and I had a great experience. We came to get hiking shoes/boots before an upcoming trip to Asheville. We knew absolutely nothing about hiking shoes and the staff was so incredibly helpful and spent a lot of time with us explaining the different options and technologies in the shoes. I left as a new REI member and with a pair of shoes I'm really excited about!
Tyler Satterwhite: Stick to selling outdoor equipment and chill with politicized marketing and branding.
Sarah Matthews: This location has the most helpful and friendly staff. Great selection, too.

Mad City Outdoor Gear: what do users think?
Jim Spencer: Didn't hear anything for over a week after sending emails asking about my order. I said I would cancel if I didn't hear from someone and they cancelled my order saying I requested it! Very poor customer service!
T Hudson: When I ordered gear from this company, the website and confirmation email said 3-13 days for shipment. One month later, there was no status change, and the gear had not been processed or shipped. I emailed the company and was told the product was in stock, and should ship within 0-6 days. Checked the status 6 days later, and still no change. There I was, 37 days after the order and still no change. They were quick to cancel order, but we will see how long it takes to refund. Seems like this business is not capable of keeping up with online sales. I should have read the multiple similar reviews before ordering… Lesson learned.
Mason D'Elia: I ordered two canteen pouches back in January or February from them and it said that they would be back in stock in 3-13 days. 4 months later and I haven’t heard anything back from them about if they got them and honestly forgot about my purchase until recently. The customer service was always nice and respectful so that gives them an extra star.
DEVIN M: Not a pleasant experience. There seems to be a lack of customer service with this retailer. Ordered some gear then returned it for a different size. In the middle of the return process, a sales person told me the correct sizes were processed and should be ready to go out 3-13 days. Come to find out 38 days later, they never ordered my exchange products. I had to have the sales manager from HSGI call Mad city to process my order. Totally unacceptable. At this point, I'm still unsure if my order has even been shipped or even processed.
Darryn Obanner: I placed a order all most a month a go .you guys are so quick to take the money but have not received my package .if I new about how bad you guys are I would have not bought any thing from you ....so I just want my money back a.s.a.p ...
田中トビマル: They have a ton of stuff. Way more selection than other shops in the area, and all new. I really liked their selection of true spec gear; the tactical pants that they make are second to none. Will be back here in the future!Edit: Docking a couple stars because I went back in today and had a very poor experience. The girl behind the desk had some of the worst customer service skills I’ve seen in retail, and apparently couldn’t (wouldn’t?) check stock, check if a product is even sold, or answer questions about placing an order. We weren’t greeted and even after we went to the counter, we were just stared at and not addressed until we spoke to her. The guy last night had zero problems assisting us, so idk what the deal is today. Left without buying or ordering anything after checking the floor for it myself. Will have to buy on Amazon I guess. A shame, I would much rather support a local business.
drew malarchik: Good selection staff was courteous overall awesome place
Audron: This place will try to scam you if you let them. If you’ve ordered anything and it’s been more than a 3-5 day wait for your item to be shipped then cancel it because you probly won’t get it anyway. This place needs to hire some warehouse people that aren’t lazy and make excuses at every turn.
Nathaniel Moore: By far the best outdoor store in this area. The best knife selection I've ever seen and the staff are great. I'll definitely be back, thanks guys.
Darc Shinobi: No phone number to call I'm wondering if they sell airsoft guns & gear before the 30-minute drive
michael darlington: Ten dollars short and cashier magically had a coupon for me!!! Great spot!!
Jeff Wescoat: MC outdoor is my go to place for outdoor/tactical gear. Everyone working at the Raleigh location has been super helpful. Even when they didn’t have exactly what I was looking for, they gave me good advice on how to move forward and find it. Cool patches, good mres and great customer service. MC outdoor is the first place I’d look for anything outdoor or airsoft related.
Joshua O'Bryan: I ordered my boots 12/25/22, knowing there would be a 3-13 day delay on the order, but the price was hard to beat, it is now the 26th of January and while I'm glad my boots did ship, they set three timeframes that they had failed to uphold, they we're very cordial but but they could do a much better job of explaining the information. All it would require is adding NOT IN STOCK or ON BACKORDER being properly displayed below items for sale, to which they say this is made known but when reviewing the website this information is not clearly visible or apparent as it should be, and before the team tells me I'm wrong, there are several rreviewwith the same problem, and this is not all websites, I recommend that MCOG browses the websites of SportsmansGuide or BudK, Out of Stock or BACKORDER is listed where the price normally is, in which case you can have the option to have the storee-mail you when a product is n stock, and they will not take your money until they have the item and it is ready to be shipped. This would be a better template to go by. I was okay with waiting, but during the wait I expect accurate information to be provided with regards to shipping times, I was told that this is not a normal issue and rarely happens, but after reading dozens of reviews with the same issue over the past 3 years, I now know that the information given to me was not truthful, and in the future I will likely not be using this store again.
Matthew Stanley: If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Just discovered this place recently, and visited for the first time today. They have an incredible selection of quality tactical gear, camping gear, packs, holsters, clothing, and more. Staff was super helpful and friendly, and I will be recommending this place to everyone that I know. If you are looking for gear, and you like being able to check it out in person versus buying online, this place is it. They have been open a little over a year, and I’m glad I found them. Absolute hidden gem. Will definitely be back.
Joe Biebel: I'd like to start this by saying that I'd give 0 stars, even negative if I could. I've never experienced customer service this bad!! First off, it took then 3 weeks to ship my order, and when I finally did receive it, I was sent the wrong item. Mistakes happen, I get that. But it took over a a month and a half to finally get a response from their customer service and get a refund. I had to email and call them multiple times before I finally got a response. It says on their website that "You will ALWAYS receive a response within 1 business day.", and after it took weeks to get a response that still didn't get me a refund or fix my problem, I think it's very fair to say that I was more then ticked off with this company. I would NEVER ORDER ANYHTING FROM THIS COMPANY EVER and would give everyone else the same advice!!
Josh Gilley: The reviews online were a bit confusing. I had seen a few talking about surplus gear. Which is what led me to this store. However I get there and everything is new. Not a bad thing at all. They had a really nice selection of bags and other kit. I was just looking for something used to beat up. I will be back though. The lady behind the counter was helpful and even met the dog. In all a really neat store.
Holly Mata: SCAM ! SCAM ! SCAM ! PLACED AN ORDER THAT NEVER CAME !! SAID TO WAIT 13 DAYS FOR IT TO GET IN STOCK, THEY SAID WAIT LONGER !! MY ORDER NEVER CAME !!! NO ONE EVER ANSWERS, E-MAIL SENT STATING I WOULD LIKE A REFUND, NO REFUND !!! SCAM !!!!!!!
Cory Pearson: This business literally stole over $100 from me. I placed an online order on 3/30/22 and I still have not received my order or any explanation. Stay away from this shady business as they will steal your money.
Jordan Wilcox: I went in to the store and warmly got greeted by a young man named Jamison. He helped me with anything i needed help with and had a very helpful response to any question I asked. I highly reccommend coming here for anything outdoors related and for sure I will be coming back to get many more items in the future hopefully sold by Jamison.
Jessten Hower: They false advertise and sell things they don't actually have! They list things for sale as "Will ship in 3-13 days" on their website yet when I went to order items listed as that and asked where it was after a few weeks of no updates they told me it isn't actually in their inventory and are awaiting a resupply from the manufacturer. One of the items didn't even say that when I ordered it, yet after I ordered it they must have changed it..The order I placed was in April and to this day (over 5 months later!!!) the order is still not complete. I tried to request a refund for an item in the order that still hadn't shipped, but their representatives lie, skirt the issue, and basically refuse to do anything I want, yet at the same time try to assure me they are "easy" to work with. Yeah right! They have had no problem wasting a ton of my time with a ton of back and forth emails (I have sent 7 separate emails so far!) trying to accomplish very simple things. Online orders shouldn't even require any contact, it should go smooth and easy! They ignored my email about refunding the final item and then "coincidentally" I get an email 3 days later saying it's going to ship, with a shipping label that says they haven't even dropped the item off yet. I emailed again saying I want a refund and they are now trying to get me to waste even more of my time by having me refuse and ship back the item (that I don't think even exists) I want refunded.Absolutely atrocious customer service, I will never buy anything from them ever again!!They clearly have an unethical, zero integrity way of running their business that I would say verges on SCAMMING.I recommend avoiding buying from them at all costs, it is not worth it!! You will be buying nothing but air and frustration!
Andrew G: Awesome. Got me a bag I couldn't find anywhere else quickly.

Apex Outfitter & Board Co.: what do users think?
Sean Travers: Absolutely love everything about this company!!
Andrew: Awesome little store! A lot of outdoor gear and shoes. They also have accessories such as lip balm, gadgets, etc. There was a lot of Pantagonia gear which is nice but also loud fabric. I wish they carried a larger variety of companies. Awesome store though!!
Bryan “DigitalB” Tomlinson: Great local option for sportswear
Bryan Tomlinson (BTDesigns): Great shop in Downtown Raleigh good selection of sportswear and they have Vans
Josh Jones: Great location, quality products, and friendly and helpful service. The prices are competitive with places like REI and Backcountry, and they're one of the few retailers in the area who carries Fjallraven products. If you want something in a size they don't have, they can get it.

DICK'S Sporting Goods: what do users think?
Jackelyn Ortiz: My husband has gotten into fishing and I wanted to surprise him with some new gear. Brian was super helpful! He answered all my questions, gave me some suggestions, and was overall super pleasant.
mario borja: Muy atentos todo el personal en todo momento
gerald park: Great Store, had every thing I was looking for. All sales associates were very helpful especially bc Abby
vicfishing 1 y más: Buenos artículos de pesca
LOVE THE BEAUTY OF THE WORLD. Daily magazine.: The brst experience buying sport equipment ever.
Felipe Fierro: I came here for baseball cleats for my special needs son. Miles, Bill, and Daymar (apologies if I spelled it wrong), were EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. They went way out of their way to be of help. I appreciate it more than I can express. We weren't able to find cleats that fit my son's needs, but they earned my business ten-fold by being willing to put in the extra effort for my boy
Alyssia Modesto: Employees were very helpful but my only complaint is the fact it was very warm in there. The employee's even looked hot and uncomfortable.
Lisa Lu: Thank you for having clean restrooms, for your customers to use 😁. That's a very rare occurance in stores, these days.
Steve Edwards: Bill was extremely patient and knowledgeable when helping my wife and I choose a new pair of running shoes. We will definitely buy our shoes here from now on.
Tracy Sansone: I waited over 20 minutes for shoes to come out of the backroom to try on while watching people who came in after me get their shoes. Eventually 1 pair came out...3 sizes too small ! I walked out, but not before telling the manager how terrible their service is !
marks love for watermelon: Saw the most handsome cashier and mf was so cute man 😭😭
Lara Mi: This location is my favorite one to go to. They have way more inventory than some others and always have enough people working. The high ceiling, bridge and escalators make you feel like you’re in the superstore location. Plenty of registers and happy crew.
Capri Rae: This location racially profiles all African Americans that comes in to shop, regardless if they have a bag, look suspicious or not. Also, the management treats African Americans employees horribly as if they don’t exist, don’t get acknowledged, causing them to seek other jobs. This establishment need to be looked into further ! It’s 2023, these types of behavior are not acceptable, can go viral on social media for awareness & should be addressed !
Bridgette Gathings: The attendant at the bike shop in triangle town square in raleigh nc was extremely helpful and he educated us on the bikes that would fit our needs. We bought 2 bikes and he made sure that they were ready for the road. Great experience we will be back for maintenance.
Franklin Olmo: Milton's has never let us down. When we are craving a well-made pizza made with our favorite toppings cooked to perfection. It's always our neighborhood spot, Milton's.
Thomas Hamilton: Came here looking for a new kayak. They had plenty of them in various styles, but only 4 had a price tag on them. I might be interested if the price is right. No staff to ask...but this isnt something I should even need to ask. Management, why are all the tags empty?
Julio Cancel: Good service. A bit high priced but good quality
Miguel angel Escalante Pérez: La persona que me cobró casi me avienta la bolsa, mal educado
Egbert Gracias: Was trying to buy soccer cleats for my son. They didn't have his shoe size for everything he picked, we spent a lot of time but couldn't try or buy anything
Monica Klebes: 10 stars for Andrew and Bernadette. Friendly, knowledgeable, all around nice. Clean well stocked location.
Cortney Stet: Terrible. I went shopping for some new running shorts before a 5k and had my baby with me. I had a backpack on as most moms do for diapers etc. I was followed around the store non stop by employees, making me feel extremely uncomfortable like I was about to steal something. I spent well upwards of $100 and probably would have shopped more if they weren’t so aggressive. To top it off I waited in line because they had so many employees out doing patrols not at the registers.

DICK'S Sporting Goods: what do users think?
Gaby nadine reyes: Me encantó
Harish Kumar: Don’t go to this store. I purchased the bike 2 days back . GT aggressor pro . Bike had issue. Called to store to return it. Person said I cannot return. Also person who gave bike was rude . Wasted my money and time . :(
Ana Arronches: Staff in the store very friendly, although Customer Service to assist with order very poor. And also lack of variety and numbers available.
DAVID ALAIN PAYETTE: Useless for hunting and fishing. Total yuppie oriented overpriced.
Cathy Suchy: I’m not sure the hiring and training practices of this location but I will never shop here again. The young people working the registers have absolutely no training in manners or etiquette. When I purchased an item a few days ago the cashier answered me with “yups” so much a lack of manners the receipt says his name was “Oscar”. Then when I decided to return the item just two days later I was in a cashier’s line, he then said he had to go do something so I lifted the heavy item again (65 year old woman here) and went to another line. Seconds later this guy comes back and says I’ll take you now, I simply said I’m not lifting this again and stayed in the line I was in. Completed my return, now 24 hours later the amount ($107.24) is not back in my bank account so I go in to check on it. I get yet another rude cashier talking over me and saying there is nothing he can do about it so I asked to speak to a manager. At that point this young man should have walked away and let me speak to the manager but he did not. The entire time I was trying to talk to the manager the young clerk kept rudely interjecting and telling the manager what to tell me. I asked the clerk to please stop interjecting and let me please speak to the manager. He literally told me he did not have to and could stand there and continue telling the manager what to say. These employees definitely need a massive amount of training on how to speak to customers and manners in general (apparently parents are no longer teaching this at home). I will drive to Cary and shop at Bass Pro Shop from now on, I definitely am not giving this company another penny of my business!
Skeets Fish: Gary, in the shoe department is outstanding. He helped both my kids find shoes and fitting. An absolute star for this company!
Oak Miller: Friendly and helpful staff
Rob Dusablon: Very busy, but good
Asia Schmidt: I purchased a massage gun from this store and when I got home and opened the box, I noticed it was the wrong massage gun in the box. My husband went to return it and they gave him a different one, however we still had to return this one.Upon returning the item for a second time they told me they couldn’t give me a refund because I didn’t have the original receipt. Well, I didn’t have the original receipt because the clerk who did the 1st exchange didn’t give my husband the original receipt, he gave him the one that he used to do the exchange.Despite me providing the receipt they used to do the exchange and providing them with the same card, they still couldn’t give me my refund. They offered me a store credit with and it wasn’t even for the full amount. I paid $264.00 for the item and they offered me a store credit for $216.00. Basically, I’m out of $264.00 due to an error that one of their staff members made. I will not be doing business at this location again.
Therrick Redding: I dont know if it was appernce today. Either way i came into this looking to spend large sum of money. I asked for but the manger at time (5/27/2022 @12:30) did not really want to be bother they were really short with answers to the questions i was asking, and really couldn't walk away fas enough. I don't what was going with him, but you work in retail Good Customer Service is the key to that.
Tony Wyre: Clean store, love the variety of products, great prices on everything. Also, please give Jared a big raise! He is super friendly and makes every customer feel special. Will be returning!!
Mary Tunstall: Wide variety of products, somewhat pricey. I have purchased my tennis years there for over ten years. For tennis shoes, ask them if they price match.
TMH: I have visited this location a plethora of times and had a great experience. Today I exchanged some running shoes and had to order my size (8.5) from the Cary location. I confirmed with the Sales Associate multiple times that the shoes were to be SHIPPED. He claimed even though he noted it was a curbside purchase, they would me MAILED. This was not true and an outright lie. The Cary store could not correct the error and I had to cancel ther order and purchase online. THIS GUY IS THE WORSE!
Alex McGrew: No archery stuff because reasons... For a sporting goods store the cashier's have no hustle.
Karen Jenks: We forgot my son’s cleats at home and the entire staff of employees helped us find a new pair of cleats, pay and leave so fast that we made it to the game on time. Those guys were so great, super nice and very fast! Thank you thank you!
Sarai Sprewell (Gothickittikat): Had what I needed and people working there were polite and kind. Good experience overall
Benjamin Eller: Not the greatest prices. Could have a larger selection of fitness gear.
P Hernandez: Had what I wanted and needed. Not happy to see customers without masks and not practicing social distancing especially in line at the checkout. Employees were wearing masks.
Travis House: Supportive staff
Marc Hatcher: Didn't have whsat I was looking for in. The store even though on line it said it did.
Will Isaacs: I always leave here happier and with more great gear. The staff is amazing at this location. Great attitudes, very helpful...the kind of team you want to support.

REI: what do users think?
David H: Picked up a nice bag for my short hiking trips in taking this summer. They had a good selection. Three separate employees offered to help me find what I'm looking for - very friendly service. I think I'll be coming back.
Colorado Lions: I recently purchased a Yakima cargo box from REI Cary. Mark (from the bikes department) was extremely helpful with providing guidance on the install of my new equipment. I felt more confident driving down the road, and I'm thankful for his help. Will certainly be back to shop in the near future!
Ali Baba: Much bigger store than the North Hill location. Upon entering we were greeted and directed to the section we needed. At the shoes side had an associate who helped us navigate through the different types of jogging and running shoes. Only thing was that they did not carry Merrel running g shoes which is available online.
Rusty Shackelford: On a recent visit I found REI was still outstanding! They were having an anniversary sale and the place was packed! Even with it being a mad house the staff did not rush me when I had a question and were complete and very nice during the process. I also found some great deals in the used/bargain area which turned out great! It's always a highlight of my day when I am able to get to REI!
Rosalind Ellwood: Went to Cary NC REI several times during extremely busy 10 days of sale. Very impressed at how everyone & everything flowed so smoothly despite the chaotic crowds. Meredith & her register team professionally & calmly slogging through their long lines. All the floor team were engaging, helpful & happy to do whatever they could despite the strenuous hours & crowds. This store always has a Karma about it that one doesn’t realize is different from most stores including other REI locations. It’s because of Jim Bennet & other management’s philosophy & dedication. It makes one happy to support them by purchasing there.Cary store rocks!
Daniel Holleman: Went in to purchase a jacket and after wedding in an extremely long line was told I was not even able to purchase the jacket and unless I purchased their membership
April Williams: We have regularly shopped at this REI. We always find the staff helpful. Checkout is usually pretty fast. We have found some good items in their clearance section located at the front of the store. There are often clearance shoes in the shoe department too. They have bathrooms near the bike department. Their parking lot is paved and shared with other stores. We have never had a problem finding a parking space.
AdventureAttorney: Went into REI to fix a bike tire, and it was their anniversary sale. Made out with some great deals and new Rainbow flip flops for cheap!
Diane DeBruine: I went to REI looking for new shoes. I live 1 hour and 10 minutes from the closest REI. So a 2 hour 20 minute trip for new shoes. The return policy is amazing which is why I choose to shop at REI. I found a shoe that I liked but the top of one shoe and the laces were dirty. I take good care of my shoes and when I buy them new I don't like for them to be dirty. When I told the sales women they were dirty she said it was no big deal. That the shoes were fine. But if I'm going to spend $200 on shoes I'd like for them to be clean. She didn't offer to get me a different clean pair in the same size. Poor customer service at the Cary REI.
Michael: Shopped for footwear …salesperson more interested in her cellphone than customer service …went to Durham store where I had the opposite experience…very helpful employees there …highly recommend the extra few miles to the Durham REI !!
Bill Snodgrass: My wife, my daughter and I all bought things. And had I practiced less restraint I would have bought more. Mary waited on me and was fabulous. upon learning that my wife and daughter were hiking Mt. Leconte she was full of information.
Ethan Aliff: Excellent customer service and great products for outdoor activities!
Michael Carter: Wonderful place to shop ! LOTS to choose from , and customer service is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful , and patient ! The manager of this store seems to be really good at choosing the staff .
Brittany Graham: Went in this to get fitted for and purchase new hiking boots. Despite the store being relatively empty, it seems that the employees would rather talk amongst themselves than help a customer who is patiently waiting. I left without getting any sort of service. They will not get my business.
Say: Great selection of outdoor stuffs! Staffs are friendly and helpful! Bathroom in good.
vanessa koliadko: It was suggested that I take my son to REI to be properly fitted for his hiking backpack. I would like to say that we had a very awesome experience. He and I have never done anything like this before and Mark and Shannon were both phenomenal with making sure we understood everything we needed to know about our packs and the proper fitment. One of our bags was brand new and the other was donated to us. The donated one ended up having dry rotted sinch straps and we discussed the need to have those replaced. I also asked Shannon if there were any packs she would recommend for myself and she lead me to one that fit me very well and best of all it was on sale. I highly recommend these folks if you need any information on backpacking. A+ from me.
Rebecca Hunt: I wandered into REI looking for a backpack. I had looked at all the other usual stores and was disappointed. REI had just what I was looking for. I was very excited. REI is the perfect store for everything you need for outdoor activities. REI has everything you need, from hiking and camping to any outdoor activity. Clothing to cooking and everything in between. The associates are friendly and helpful. You should wander in and check out their merchandise! I am sure you will find items that you need at a great price! Enjoy your shopping trip in REI.
John Glass: First time here, was surprised to find at checkout the item we wanted was “members only”. Would be nice to have signs or something for that with the item. Shout out to Ali who was very helpful, completely the opposite of Melissa who refused to even look in our “non member” direction. Melissa, next time try telling new shoppers about the program instead of just yelling across the checkout to your peer that we can’t buy it.
Joshua Chory: Not a great selection of gloves for adults at any of the locations
Amy M.C.: Love REI!
Earl Struble: Place looked picked through, long lines but the service staff was super friendly and moved you quickly.

The North Face Crabtree Valley Mall: what do users think?
Bryan Tomlinson (BTDesigns): No staff interaction and too much products no clear signage
Katty R: Excelent
Drew Walton: Super expensive
Sam Sam: Average store with not great collections. Was looking for a specific design and couldn't find thatAlso - the 30% offer is really a gimmick, all old and ugly pieces are in deal.Rest all the pieces are very average too with not so many varieties.
PRAVEEN MANIYATH: Great place
Google User: Staff seem to love the great outdoors… because they treat you like dirt. Although the store was almost empty none of the 3 staff there were any help and we had to struggle to get a coat down from the high rack. Each question we had was quickly brushed off like we were interrupting them. We gave up and found a parka at another store. Whoever the manager is needs to do some training on customer service.
Braulio Garcia: Friendly staff, organized, well stocked.
Kathy Bruening: People were great
Darrell Trump: Very nice mall. All the best stores. A little hard to get in and out, parking difficult
Sheila Dunn: Checked them out got a summer hat.
Cecaial Jones: It's great! If you ever go to NC try to visit here
Mike Monanteras: Fantastic!!Great Customer Service too!!Very Friendly and Helpful!!5 Stars!!
Christy Kinnion: Pleasant service. No stress shopping experience.
Jessica Mata: Great store, easy to navigate. Helpful employees who helped us find the size shirt we needed and checking if it was in stock.
David Weiss: Just tried to exchange a piece and get a larger size, and return one other and don’t want to chase the gift giver down for the receipt, the associate went back to speak with a manager (Asia, I think) was having a nice chat with the other front of house associate, and the original one returned with the news from Asia that without a receipt they not only would not take my return for store credit, I also would not be allowed to exchange the other for the proper size. This policy (assuming it actually is policy) is completely tone deaf to the rest of the service oriented offerings of other high flying brands in the 21st century, and the manager at the store here was also rude and cowardly to send this message without even showing their face. A THIRD associate tried to intervene and suggest that it’s entirely possible to do a size swap (the item in question was on display right at the front of the store) and the mouthpiece of Asia came back with the grave face assuring the associate that attempted a rescue that Asia would have none of that skullduggery. In short, rude, backwards policy, and cowardly. Was actually wearing one of my favourite NF shirts as I came in after some adventures in the German 4x4, but after this experience, I will be rethinking my adventure wardrobe entirely. Looks like another brand riding their vestigial momentum left over from the 20th Century. What a shame.
Demetriuse Pollard: Nice and expensive too
Trevor MacPherson: Prefer Mtn Hardwear but still some nice stuff
John Hanken: Great snow gear and general winter bling. Staff is super attentive.
Ryan Youngblood: The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with product questions. Their customer service is awesome!
Ivan Salazar: Gran surtido y gran calidad
Kevin Gaughan: Nice mall good selection of stores

J Harlen Co Inc: what do users think?
Phillip Groh: Best service I’ve had in a long time . Had the climbing gear I need in stock . The guys here know what there doing and what you need . If your a linesman this is the store you want
Justin Foster: Exchanging out stuff under warranty no issues, purchases no issues. When it comes to their mask deal they are all about it. Want you to wear one but got people working inside that ain't wearing them. Seems they pick and choose which customers they force to wear a mask even when maintaining 6ft distances. Only real reason for coming here is they're local.
Chuck Simpson: After verifying over the phone a specific boot and size was in stock, drove 3 hrs to purchase them along with a few other hard to find hand tools. Both phone and in store experience was excellent! Hard to find a trade specific store like this anymore.
Cody Tillman: Cost of shipping is ridiculous, the time it takes to receive a shipped item is ridiculous. I used to order from them all the time but now I can get most of the items on Amazon.
John Deaux: I ordered a product via the webstore and it was shipped the next day and arrived within the week, out of state. Unfortunately, the item was defective upon receipt. I contacted the store and spoke to a very polite gentleman who was quite accommodating. He shipped me a replacement the same day, which is due to arrive two days later.I have dealt with other companies that wanted photos, videos, etc and then would ship a replacement when they received the original item back. This is certainly not the case with J Harlen! The defective item was by no means the fault of the store, but they accepted full responsibility and did all they could to accommodate me in the least "painful" way possible.
Dunbar Santiago: Very polite and patient staff, great products and convenient if you live in Raleigh. That being said I've had a couple items take a longer than expected to arrive at their own store, there are no price tags in the store, and they are only open during the week days when most of us are at work
Kyle Johnson: They offer “express shipping” and my order takes three weeks to get here. The place is a joke.
Barry Hinson: I buy 90% of my gear here. Never had a bad experience.
Neil Loehr: Realized that had a brick and mortar store in Raleigh while on storm. Got to try on boots in person and found a great pair. Excellent prices.
Jose Cortes: Good service, good product
eddie robinson: Great place to purchase Lineman supplies, boots, tools , FR clothing.., employees very friendly, knowledgeable, and also have great pricing.. will buy from again😊😊
Larry Steiner: There were some minor shipping issues, which were resolved in the most professional manner possible. Please feel totally comfortable placing an order with this firm.
Scott Kalahiki: Be careful if your overseas and placing an order through this website. You might not get it til a month later.

Bass Pro Shops: what do users think?
Shanna Allen: It was small for a Bass Pro Shop. Felt like there could have been more stuff.
Steven Fried: A lot of interesting variety. Neat displays.
John Feagans: Easy to get into, store location. Store was fairly well stocked and everyone that I spoke to was very friendly and willing to help.
Alex Sims: Great place. People there are always friendly and eager to help.
Bobby Lee: Fair prices good selection
adholt3d: Great store horrible place to buy a gun. If you want to answer trick questions and be discouraged please buy a gun from this location. Their policies have gotten worse since permits are no longer required in North Carolina. Avoid....
Sara Melugin: It was the least exciting Bass Pro I've ever been to, but the people were friendly and it was clean.
Jerry Garcia: Sorry but this does not compare to the other Bass pros. It's a converted grocery store to look like a bass pro.
Joshua Safford: AMAZING PLACE!!! Now I want a boat and a gun!! More fishing gear and more OUTDOORS PLEASE!
Grant DeBerry: Some of the stuff seems stuffy towards people of color
mur63031: Good merchandise; Ridiculous policies. Bass Pro Shop - Cary, NCJust purchased a couple items and paid cash. Cashier asked for phone number which I declined to give. He told me that if I needed to return any items, I would not be able to do so unless I provide a phone number for their records. To clarify I asked: "So you're saying that if I bring the merchandise back to the store along with the original receipt, Bass Pro will not accept it unless I give you my phone number now?" He confirmed this and said "it's just procedure."
Alex J: Awesome store, friendly employees, cool fishtank. What's not to like
Saul Lorenzana: I'm highly disappointed with your store, even though I think it's amazing you have amazing products amazing employees I'm disappointed because you have individuals in here trying to sell your customers timeshares timeshares are the biggest scams and you shouldn't be associated with such companies. I really do think you need to not have any companies that represent anything to do with scams. Second of all please do your best to start selling American-made products and maybe labeling them and making them easy to find the Americans would appreciate that otherwise I think your company is amazing is amazing
Service 1: Salesmen EVERYWHERE swing Mastercard or trips. I only come to pick up some small stuff. So annoying. If you see one of those ppl, take the long route to avoid!
Georgia V: They have everything you can think of when it comes to fishing !! Some things that I needed were out of stock due to the summer so do go earlier if you can
Journey B: Came in for some new hiking boots. They have an enormous selection, including wide widths, which is what I was looking for. Prices aren't the best, but for me it's worth it to be able to try on so many different options.
NA J: Terrible customer service.Gun department was supposed to call back about a purchase, of course they never did.Tried calling, let the phone ring several hundred times with no answer.I signed up for their club and MasterCard, but if this is how they treat their customers, I'm out.Inside the store not much better, a bunch of surly boomers who give one word answers and look like they hate their jobs.My advice: shop online. Let retail die, it is no longer fit for purpose.
Cliff Sharp: Clean and well stocked as always. Could probably use more cashiers at times.
Thunder49931: Great store, supports USA and veteran's!
christian meador: Never been in a bass pro shop as all I have are cabelas at home. I was charging my rental car so it was a good walk through to see the difference.
