Sur La Table: what do users think?
Morgan K: Cooking classes here are very over priced for what is received. Most of the prep work is done before hand and there are dishes that they don’t even let you touch and it is fully made by the instructor. The class was only an hour even though 2-2 1/2 hours was written on the class descriptions and this time could have been used for learning more prep activities. All in all for $90 I pretty much just learned how to make risotto and was then served raw chicken and a salad with mold/fungus on it. Just watch a YouTube video instead and save yourself from food poisoning.
Thomas Cockrell: Incredibly disappointed. Do not recommend. First off we paid $180 for a macaroon cooking class. They’re made with inexpensive ingredients like butter, flour, sugar, and yet we couldn’t even make our own. We had to share a station with other people. And the “chef” doesn’t have her own station so she does a portion of our task and then let us finish. So we maybe got to do 30% of the steps. She had us browse the store for 45 mins waiting for them to dry and bake, we came bake to very undercooked macaroons and she blamed us and the humidity in the room. We would’ve been much better off buying the ingredients our self and watching a YouTube video at home. Also during our class she was cooking and prepping for another class. We were offered no drinks, no water, no snacks during a 3 hour cooking class that again cost $180! I have nothing positive to say about this place.
VICKI AUSTIN: I took the Beef Wellington class with Chef Caitlin. What a fantastic experience! The food was incredible. And she is engaging, knowledgeable, and funny. I will definitely be back to take another one of her classes with my husband.
Tim Allen: Absolutely awesome focus on the customer. I was looking to upgrade my knives. A staff member asked if she could help, explained the difference between brands, uses and types of knives. She let me handle some so I could feel the difference to help me decide. While my wife and I were shopping we were offered a hot espresso or cappuccino. In two visits we had two knives sharpened and bought three, in addition to some placemats, towels and more.
Azhar Rehman: Great store (love everything), and usually great people, but had an individual helping my mom and I that was extremely disappointing. She was very rude and disrespectful asking if we can pay for a product we asked for in a condescending manner. Very disappointed as my mom shops their often. Sad experience and hope things improve. Item in question was purchased and made sure to close the transaction by another great person
Martin Brossman: Not a big cooker but I wanted a better cooking pan and Jeffrey gave me excellent advice, and I’m excited to use the new pan I just bought. They have a wide selection at competitive prices and offer cooking lessons here.
Drew Bass: Bold Tuscan flavors was a great class! Chef Catelyn was amazing! 10/10 recommend, was a great experience!!
Philomena Golden: The cooking class was so much fun. We had a fantastic time
Jessica Clark: This review is primarily for the cooking classes. Overpriced, especially considering you share what you make with another person or couple they randomly pair you with. Did not learn how to make everything that was described in ad for the class, half of it was already made to "save time" (we were there for two and a half hours) and all we really did was chop vegetables. Because we were working together with another couple and had to consider their taste preferences, we ended up with a very under seasoned dish. We were most excited to learn how to make the peanut sauce for the spring rolls, but that was premade ahead of time. Same with dessert, it was just handed to us. No recipes provided after class. Didn't really feel like I learned anything new, and the food ended up tasting bland. The store was pretty, the staff up front was nice and the chef was also engaging and helpful when people had questions.Adding - they emailed the recipes the following day. Still, I could look up a recipe online for peanut sauce and coconut sorbet. Would have appreciated more instruction on these items, even if if the chef prepared the sauce in front of us.
Shela Johnson: They do have lots of selections of kitchen/ baking stuff. But I feel like that they have overpriced their products. I received a present that someone bought from Sur La Table, However, I didn't receive the gift receipt. They didn't allow me return or get a store credit. They are not a customer friendly store. I would not shop there if I can find the thing I need somewhere else.
Kristin Alves: We had an unbelievable experience in a private event class in which our chef Kaitlyn helped us learn how to make delicious mouth watering cronuts!! We came to sur la table reserving the private class and got to choose what we wanted to learn how to make. We not only learned how to make the croissant donut but we learned how to make several fillers and glazes and *everything* was insanely good. They created such an amazing experience that I think it's been the best christmas present I've ever given....HIGHLY suggest!!
Bill McKeown: Cooking classes are fun, informative and delicious! We've been to a few classes, and the experience is great. We love meeting new people and learning to cook a gourmet meal. And eat it of course. Our most recent class with chef Katelyn, was the best. She's awesome. Smart, funny, positive and engaging.Highly recommended.
Nancy Tavalsky: Bought these pots several months ago at Sur La Table. Paid $1000 on sale from $1500. They’re Viking brand. I’ve never had expensive pots before so I was so excited. Several uses later the black starting coming off the bottom of the pots. I emailed Sur La Table corporate and they said they couldn’t exchange for something else that I needed to go to Viking. Viking tells me they don’t do anything with pots and pans that the vendor needs to take care of it. So I’m getting the run around. Sur La Table doesn’t want to take care anymore of me
Samantha Hall: Do not do order pickup here there is no point. Trying to save some time during the holiday season and the "pickup" means you have to wait in the 40 person long line any way when there are several floor helpers standing around.
Christine P: We had a great time at the French pastry baking class with Chef Caitlyn. We were able to take some of our creations home...only some because we ate the rest when they were fresh out of the oven. I would definitely take another class at this Sur la Table.
Denise: Stopped in today just to look around ended up picking up a few things couldn't live without. Super friendly and helpful staff.
Michelle Sinnott: Very disappointed in the manager. My husband wanted to buy a yellow spatula. We looked at the exact same one in red but that was $2.00 less..We spoke to the manager and he in no way was going tolet the yellow go for $12 instead of $14. With the very high prices in the store giving a senior citizen the $2 differencewould not have hurt them. We will never go back to such a greedy company!!
Wendy Penfield: Such a friendly and helpful staff....if you don't see what you are looking for on the shelf, just ask! She found it for us!
Kenny Wade: Definitely going back had a good ole time!
Michael Honaker: Absolutely amazing experience! The chef was awesome, as well as the kitchen staff. The date night is a really fun time with great recipes. Get some wine, meet some cool people, and have a nice time in cooking class! Plus, if you're in the cooking class, you get a discount in the store!
Logan Holshouser: We arrived for a party of 10 (9 after one person could not come) with a small grouping of balloons, a box of party favors (aprons and gifts for the bride) and a bag of wine for our cooking class to celebrate the bride to be.When we arrived to set up, the cook, Rachel, greeted us with a sour demeanor without saying hello or welcoming us to the class, but to state “just so you’re aware, this is NOT a private class, there will be other attendees.”We knew this wasn’t a private cooking class but didn’t understand the brut hostility upon arriving. My mother, who booked the class for us all, responded by explaining that she had emailed with whoever was in management/booking about our small party and that we would bring party favors and wine to share with the group. Rachel was reluctant to understand or inquire further about the emails that had been shared and was rudely expressing how she knew nothing of the emails or what was planned for our party.I expressed that there was no need for hostility or disrespect towards my mother and she turned and said “well you don’t have to be here if you don’t want to.”Mind you, we paid $80 a person for our 10 person group, hoping to have a fun experience for my sisters bachelorette gathering. We moved forward after her rude remarks and gathered to start cooking. Throughout the class she was rude, dismissive, and out right disrespectful to not only our group, but the other couples. At one point, the couple next to us expressed being afraid to ask her questions because of how annoyed she seemed to be.One of our group members asked a question about the next step of cooking and she rolled her eyes and spoke so condescendingly, that we stopped engaging and just tried to get through to the end of the class. We were hopeful for a fun experience, but we will NEVER recommend this place to anyone thanks to Rachel.Joy was a helper in the kitchen who was incredibly kind and helpful, but her assistant was just as rude (an older woman with black hair) as Rachel. It’s a shame that we came here to make a memory with our family and it was ruined by the sour and disrespectful attitude of Rachel. For $80 a head, you’d think that would come with a knowledgeable chef who loves to teach people how to cook.

Williams-Sonoma: what do users think?
Soap B: Cooking and baking heaven. They have literally anything you’re looking for and more. Beautiful knives and high quality kitchenware. Delicious mixes and fancy espresso makers and more. Definitely a Crabtree must go.
Virginia Bradley: I was looking for whimsical aprons, but there were none here. They had beautiful aprons. The sales people were very helpful.
Natalia Rodríguez: Good place
Dennis Alexander: Terrible customer service the manager was imposing her opinions about COVID-19 it was a terrible experience.. we were in the store for 15 to 20 minutes and were forced to leave over opinions and the woman was a complete mess. You need better management at this site!
Nick Heiner: The knife sharpening service basically didn't work – the knives still feel dull. They held on to my knives for nearly a week. Two of the knives I left them, they decided not to sharpen. And they sent me marketing mail even though I asked them not to.
Antoinette Chelle: William Sonoma not friendly cold stand office rude no samples are out that's all I have to say for your customer service then
Nicholas Smith: Many great culinary gadgets.
C Ford: Lots of good kitchen wares and home goods
Kimberly Baillie: I’m a regular shopper at Williams Sonoma. I encountered the rudest clerk, who yelled at my younger daughter for wearing a shield that she was required to wear vs a regular mask due to her recent nose surgery and refused to let her to enter the store. My oldest daughter tried to explain that she had to wear this type of mask due to her surgery and the clerk continued to yell so we left. Where has the HUMANITY in people gone!!
Erick Monda: Very good staff. Quality kitchenware
Barbara Bedwell: Love this store!
Max Mooneyham: I love this store and the employees that work there. I wish I could afford one of EVERYTHING! Quality, somewhat expensive, goods are here.
Anthony: Good selection of kitchen ware, one of rare places to find good quality items these days (for a bit higher price). You can also find some les expensive items
Joe: Great plave but the prices are way too high
Kristy Howard: Excellent service! So knowledgeable and even during crazy holiday shopping times they make you feel like you are the only one in the store.
Kyle Hinton: Just ok
Kevin Jones: Pricey, but that peppermint bark tho 😁
Ajani Marsh: Good experience
Shukri Kaibni: Nice people good product
Gregg Zwilling MD: Great place for the kitchen supplies

Randy Parnell: They have moved to the mountains, but they provide a mail in sharping services.
Jd Clarke: Stopped by today. I was told that I should go to Raleigh Saw
Karen Tiede: I love my new edges! Gingher shears, hit too many zippers while slicing old clothing for my rag rug fiber, and Terry brought them back to life. I could shave, were I someone who shaved, with these blades.Fast turn-around; helpful discussion of my other scissor problems.

Bed Bath & Beyond: what do users think?
Lori H: I used to love this place, but sadly - it's going out of business
Shanah Bell: The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful at this location. They are closing though, so you won't have much more time to shop there. Currently everything is 30% off, which is awesome. But that also means that they don't have everything they normally would because they aren't restocking. I was able to get a Dyson V10 Animal that's regularly $750 for less than $400 though, so I was pretty darn pleased with this shopping trip!
Christine Becker (Chris): Even with the 30 to 50% off discounts from The store closing, there really aren't many deals to be had. What's interesting is they had such a HARD SELL push for me to pay to join their members rewards just a few weeks ago. They had to know this store closure was coming, so that feels even more shady now.
Greg K: Going out of business sale going on. This company is going out of business because they are a rip off. They mark everything up then you have to use 20% off coupons and then its still more than target. Right now they have the Ninja model # sp101. They show it at $239 then marked it down to $179 for their going out of business sale. A quick google search show it at target right around the corner for $149.99, lol ripping people off all the way until doors are pad locked
Chip Haver: This location is going out of business...stopped in to see if there were any "what a deals". None that I found
Nelson Williams: They're closing their doors, soon. Sale prices aren't that great. What they have left in stock has been picked over thoroughly. I'm sorry they're closing, but I probably wouldn't have gone back.
Marcos Miranda: My first stop here. I must say it's sad that this store is closing ☹️. Super clean and neat and probably the best, friendly and helpful staff I've ever encountered. This was an entirely new but pleasant experience at a retail store for me. Big thumbs up
Heather S.: Went shopping with my mom there after christmas. My local bbb closed down. Drove 1 hr to go there and other stores. Nice to see one still up. Cashier, I think her name was Emily, was very helpful to my mom. Excellent service. Prices high but unique stuff.
Adam S: Fair location seems to be on the way out of business, limited inventory
Carlos Espinosa: 👎👎👎 empty wow
Jennifer A: All I have to say is WOW. I went in to return a comforter set and the way the cashier spoke to me was not okay. She looked at me when I got to the register and said “look at the way you folded this up! What is wrong with you!?” She said it very loud and in a very rude tone in front of other customers and it was embarrassing. I tried my best to fold the blanket back up and put it in the plastic carrier it came in, but once you take it out of those things, it’s very hard to get it back in and make it look perfect like it originally is in the store. When she asked me why I was returning it, I said I didn’t like it and she proceeded to be rude and shake her head at me. I understand if an item isn’t up to your standards to return, but there is a professional way that you say that. Apparently it wasn’t that bad, or else she wouldn’t have accepted it. I don’t know this woman’s name, but she should be fired for the way she treats and speaks to customers. She was a black women with her hair pulled back. Seriously, hire people with some manners and customer service skills!
Wayne Kingston: Bare looking. Limited choices. I have always enjoyed shopping there. Just seemed so spread out.
Eugene Allen: Went on looking for some kitchen floor mats and scored some sheets on sale. They sale a range of sheets as we paid 28 bucks for two sets and thre lady in front of us spent 400 bucks for one set.
Sharon Anderson: Great place great choices..
Ronald Johnson: Very large store. Lots of items to choose from. Did not see a single store employee until check out
Danilo romero: 👍👍
Daniel Jiang: Order online and pick up in store. Pretty smooth...
Patty Haley: Love shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond. Bought a pillow but my husband didn't like it so returned it the next day. The lady at the return counter had a attitude. She informed me that they keep track of how many times you return pillows. It was the first time returning a pillow. My husband was going to look for another one but he said forget it.... let's go.
Lyndsey Campbell: Very nice staff, but some items definitely overpriced, but what’s new.
Elizabeth/Mom Guzynski: The people helping me could not have been better. Anna is a jewelLinen lady was very helpful. All are very friendlyStore is very appealing
Rose Wrenn: The employees were proactive in offering help. This was wonderful!!!

Kelly Sears: Store merchandise was very sparse. I asked management if they were closing the store due to how empty it was and they acted annoyed that I asked. They said it was closing but it was very empty and low on items.
Laura: The checkout process is always awful and confusing, and they would not honor a reward that I had followed the prompts in-app to use in store. Manager offered no work-around, Terrible experience.
Bi Pi: Nice, clean home goods store.
