Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Raleigh: what do users think?
Katherine Smith: Paul, the owner, is very patient and obviously cares about the experience of Arthur Murray Dance clients. He is knowledgeable and took the time to really listen to what we wanted for our wedding dance and help us achieve that. Thank you for making our experience very positive.
Jami M: My fiancé and I started classes about a month and a half ago with Paul and have been having so much fun! We are learning a routine for our wedding and hope to continue this as a new hobby in our future! We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to learn!
Erin Rice: My fiancé and I have so enjoyed our lessons at the Arthur Murray downtown location! Our instructor Paul has been a fantastic teacher — skillful, professional, receptive, encouraging, and fun. We came with minimal dance background, and Paul has helped us not only learn basic steps, but work with us to design a wedding dance that is personal, fun, and much more impressive than anything we imagined doing previously. It’s a beautiful space too in downtown Raleigh! Our lessons have been a truly fun and special date night, and I highly recommend Arthur Murray to other couples!
Jenny B: I love this place! It feels like family. The instructors are so fun and supportive and fellow students are always willing to help out. The dance parties are comfortable. My favorite place.
Karen M Kane: We had our first class with Paul at the downtown location a few weeks ago and can't wait to come back for our next lesson!! The studio itself is exceptionally clean, vastly spacious and has a beautiful modern decor. The sound system is amazing! Paul is the best teacher! He listens to our needs, is supportive, friendly, fun, professional and talented. We decided to purchase a 6 class package and we know Paul will have us in tip-top dance shape for our October wedding. He's even going to help us coordinate our wedding dance mashup of several songs! My fiance and I look forward to the lessons and it's also a unique date night out. You must check out this beautiful dance studio!
Bobby Long: Loved the environment and teachers was excellent, can't wait till the next lesson
Rebecca Daniels: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityEveryone we have worked with so far has been so wonderful! All the instructors are energetic, fun to work with and professional! It has been a fun learning experience.highly recommend!
Sandra Lowry: Paul is the man! My then fiancée and I had an absolute BLAST learning some new dance moves, as we decided to choreograph our first dance for our wedding. To say it was a complete HIT with our wedding guests would be a complete understatement. We received so many compliments from our guests about how fun and charming our dance was, and it’s all thanks to Paul and his patience and direction with us (no easy task - both my now husband and I have extremely limited dance experience). Highly recommend this place for couples who want to have fun date nights just learning how to dance, whether for a specific event or just in general!!!
Robert Brock: I came into town on business. I am from KY and dance at the A.M location there. Found a modern , beautiful studio with great instuctors. What was amazing was the way the customers, and employees made me feel a part of their A.M family immediately. If you want to dance. Give them a try.
Alex Sebring: Love it ! Recommend to anyone!! Learned our first dance and then continued to go! Recommend any instructor buttttt .... #MichealIsTheBest!
heather segura: I am so glad I decided to walk in to Arthur Murray Raleigh’s studio. Michael, Paul, Mary Ann, Jessica, and Amanda are all fantastic instructors. No matter the level of dance you are at, you are made to feel comfortable and empowered. The group lessons are a blast and the private lessons are goal oriented. The other students are so encouraging and welcoming that I have formed friendships that I was not expecting. No matter the reason for learning to dance, whether it’s your first dance for your wedding, for competitions, to learn how to dance with a partner, or even “just because you always wanted to since you were little”(my reason) the supportive atmosphere found here is amazing. Everyone that I know is commenting that I am happier and fitter now than I have ever been. Don’t wait so long like I did, start dancing now with Arthur Murray of Raleigh!
Melissa Christians: Whether you are a newcomer or a competition-minded veteran dancer like me, this is the studio for you!!!! Paul and his staff have created a dance culture where everyone in the studio, instructors and students alike, are supportive, fun, well-versed in technique, encouraging, and share their love of dance! Don't wait any longer. Get your dancing shoes on today!
Louise Cook: Coming to Arthur Murray Raleigh was one of the best decisions I ever made. Paul is an amazing instructor and has taught me to dance despite my physical problems. The rest of his staff is equally committed to their students. I had gone to other dance studios, but none of them had staffs so knowledgeable, so caring, and so understanding. They all keep lessons easy to understand, fun, and informative. I learn all the time, get a good work-out, and as a bonus I’m steadily losing weight. And at this studio, along with the other students, I feel as though I am a member of a true community. It’s a win all around!
Martinez Family: Arthur Murray Raleigh is amazing!! The instructors are wonderful. They do such a great job creating a fun, friendly environment that makes it easy for anyone to learn to dance. It has been a great date night for my husband and I. We highly recommend you check it out. :)
Deborah McKinney: Great location and beautiful! Paul is so nice and and an excellent teacher! Jessica and Michael are top notch. Everyone is welcome. Walk in and visit or get a free lesson! Good times.
Anthony Franco: Arthur Murray dance studio is a phenomenal environment for all levels of dancer. My wife and I came in for salsa classes for our first dance, and even tho we were not beginners, we were not highly advanced either. In the span of 6 classes, Paul honed our skills, corrected flaws, taught me how to shift my weight better and made us markedly better dancers. The studio itself is nice, it feels new, and they have many social dance gatherings there as well. All in all I would recommend the studio to anyone looking to learn or master a variety of dance styles. You will not be disappointed.
Alex Spane: I came to the Raleigh Arthur Murray studio just wanting to try something new and had zero dance experience or expectations. I had such a great time at this studio and was amazed at how enjoyable ballroom dancing turned out being. After several months of lessons and group dances I really noticed a significant difference in my abilities and confidence on the dance floor. Paul runs a great studio and big shoutout to MaryAnn who is an amazing instructor! Highly recommend this studio; they treat you like family, and make what could be an intimidating process fun and carefree! - Alex Spane
Bm779q: Dance class was great. We did a private class and could go at our own pace. Place is a bit hard to find they need a bigger sign.

Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Downtown Raleigh: what do users think?
Leo Munoz: We had Paul as our instructor. He qas awesome. Very patient and encouraging for us newbies. 100% would recommend!
Morgan Welch: We love it here, the instructors are patient, fantastic, and encouraging! Couldn’t recommend it higher
Carolyn P.: Would recommend Arthur Murray in a heartbeat for dance lessons! We took lessons for our upcoming wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made. We not only had a blast during each lesson, but truly learned how to dance and feel comfortable in the dance floor! My husband was pretty nervous for the lessons and overall a stiff dancer, but they made us feel so at ease, and now my husband actually enjoys dancing and hits the floor with me when the slow songs play at weddings! We worked mainly with Bridget who was absolutely wonderful - so patient, fun and great to learn from, but all of the instructors were amazing. If you're considering or on the fence on taking lessons here, I promise you won't regret it.
Taylor Clark: Paul and his team are incredibly professional and accommodating. They have us so excited for our wedding first dance. They made the classes so fun and educational. Could not ask for a better location in downtown Raleigh.
Chase Brock: My fiancé and I used Arthur Murray to take lessons and choreograph our first dance for our wedding. The entire team at Arthur Murray is amazing and we had so much fun working with them. Bridget was our main teacher for our first dance and we can’t thank her enough. We owe her so much for everything she taught us! Our wedding guests still talk about our first dance today and it was the most special moment of the entire wedding for my fiancé and I. If you are considering taking lessons for your first dance at your wedding you have to use Arthur Murray!! Also we recommend you take the group classes they offer, because it helps you learn several dances (which we also used at our wedding) and makes you more comfortable dancing with other people. Now that our wedding is over we already miss the Arthur Murray team.
Hannah Walker: Learning a first dance for our wedding here was an awesome experience!!! The studio is new downtown and a great location. We had private lessons with Paul who was an excellent teacher. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone who wants to dance at any level! We are beginners and felt like we learned so much and really enjoyed it as well :)
Zoe and Rob Lenius: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueSuch a great dance studio in a prime downtown Raleigh location (with plenty of parking). My fiancé and I are so excited to learn our first wedding dance here!! Would recommend 10/10!!!!! The nicest people ever.
Vera Mashtakova: New location. Beautiful room and excellent floor. Professional teachers.
Elliot Selmon: Awesome experience
Ashley Visconti: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe just had our first private dance lesson with Paul! It was so much fun and really informative. We are eager and stoked to learn more!
Andrea Hook: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityArthur Murray Downtown has replenished the fire in my SOUL! Paul and his instructors are very knowledgeable, professional, congenial, and amusing. Exactly what I was looking for to unwind from the stresses of the day, week, month, quarantine year, etc...

Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Raleigh: what do users think?
Shelby Wilt: We took dance lessons with Vladlen before our wedding and he was AMAZING!! We started as complete newbies but he made us feel so comfortable and coached us perfectly through it all. We received so many compliments at the wedding about how much fun we looked like we were having. I would recommend him and Fred Astaire to anyone!
marhyssa powell: Great teachers!! Patient😊and kind. Definitely recommend
Sergei Shubin: Awesome school! Many thanks to awesome teacher Dmitry!))
Nicole Eveland: My husband and I got married in Colombia this summer and wanted our first dance to be something fun. Dmitriy was so patient with us while he taught us a slower dance into salsa. We loved our lessons and it was some of the best money we spent for our wedding! The practice paid off on our big day and everyone loved it. Thank you guys for all your help!
Bryan Parker: Amazing experience so far! I normally don’t review places but I’ve had 3 lessons and 1 group lesson and I wanted to take some time to show some appreciation to the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. The introductory lessons gave me a great place to start as the introduce the different types of dances they offer and allow you to pick your favorites to learn.Other than learned how to dance my main motivation was exercise and dance is a great workout for the body but also the mind. The instructors here are top class and explain their directions clearly and in a simple manner and before you know it your executing a new technique that you could do minutes before. The instructors also have a lot of personality and make me feel like they are there to help me learn instead of just collecting a paycheck.I’ve learned so much in just 3 lessons and am very excited for my new lessons so I just wanted to leave a review here Incase anyone else is looking for a studio, this is the one!
Robert Mady: Thank you for teaching me to dance! I recently got engaged (now married!) to my fiance (now wife) and I didn't know how to dance beyond the basic robot, so I looked around and found Carolina Dance. From the moment I started to when I got the hang of things, the dance instructor helped me all the way. She gave me tips and how to practice at home with a partner. She, also, taught me different type of dances in case something came up. She instructed me the proper way to waltz and salsa; as well as, where I should place my hands and where I should stand.Thank you again for teaching me how to dance. I will be recommending Carolina Dance to all my friends.
Melanie Johnson: We are having so much fun learning to dance together here! The instructors are so nice and approachable. They really make dancing fun. In group classes and at practice parties, everyone is so friendly and supportive. There are some very affordable options if you are just thinking about trying out dancing but aren't sure how much you want to commit.

North Carolina Dance Institute: what do users think?
Lindsey Atkins: I took classes at NCDI as a preteen/teenager and always loved it. I appreciated that the teachers focused on technique since we didn’t have to worry about being ready for a competition or recital. I decided to come back to dance as an adult and try a style of dance I’d never done before (Tap) and it has been just as warm and welcoming.Kirstie is an amazing human and truly tried to connect with every person who walks through the studio. Even if you are an adult dancer who only comes once a week, she will know your name! I pass by multiple dance studios on my way to NCDI, but there’s no other one I would choose to practice at.
Will Jalkut: I started at the studio older then most and this studio was so excepting and supportive. The environment here is so positive i have never met a mean person here and the teachers are fabulous and so sweet and understanding of people situations like if you are late they never will mention it or treat you differently and as someone who has struggled with getting places on time I have really appreciated that. This studio made me fall in love with dance and has been a rock so that even when school is hard and life is beyond busy I can always come here and let go of that stress and just dance and that has been so nice.
Shannon Woodhouse: We absolutely love NCDI! The focus on technique and improvement of the individual student is unparalleled. I am so excited for my daughter to return for her second year!
Kimberly air: I go here regularly and it is awesome! I love the people here and I highly recommend this place!
bobbi v: It's been a while since I wrote this review, so I will update. We've been at NC Dance Institute for over 11 years. My daughter has thrived here with such wonderful, talented, & kind teachers. Somehow, my modern/contemporary/jazz kid has turned into a Ballerina under the care of Ms. Carolyn who brings such a loving energy to the ballet. I never imagined my beautiful girl on pointe, but she loves every minute of it. Ms. Carolyn is a magic ballet whisperer. She takes the time to connect with each student and really helps them thrive. Forget the idea of mean ballet teachers, she really raises the bar to teach with kindness & love. Beyond ballet, my girl is still a lover of Modern, Contemporary and she thrives in Ms. Victoria's classes. Again, she has a wonderful energy and loves to inspire the students. Ms. Kirstie has been our jazz teacher for 11 years now. We love the other teachers there as well. Ms. Kim & Ms. Nicole are fabulous! This is the place for dance education.Love this studio!
Benjamin Boyd: Best teachers!! Would highly recommend!
Cecelia Schneider: If you've got a musical theatre kid and you live in the Triangle, this is the place to be. So positive and encouraging. Kirstie takes a personal interest in each kid. If they need a mentor, she's there for them. Definitely the local spot for Jazz technique!
Denise Crosson: Entering the doors of NCDI is entering a place of pure joy. All three of my children and myself included have taken many classes over the last 20(!) years. It was a home away from home when my youngest, who is now an adult, was growing up. Ms. Kirstie and her wonderful dance instructors are nurturing and welcoming at every turn. They provide such a wonderful environment for learning for all ages and all levels. Even for myself, as a parent of adult children, there are so many options. I would never have rekindled my love of dance if it weren't for Ms. Kirstie and all of the fantastic instructors. This a student-centered studio, first and foremost. Just observe or try one class here and you absolutely will be hooked!!!!
Nicole Hou: I love this place !Welcoming and caring environment.Teachers are amazing, they will not only encourage you but also give you specific instructions to challenge you.Shout out to Kristie and the staff for their professionalism and support.
Tia Redman: I have been dancing for over 20 years and recently moved to the Raleigh area from Orlando. I spent many months in search of a studio that offered a variety of adult classes but nothing ever compared to the studios I was used to back home. That is until I visited the NC Dance Institute! I have taken a few different classes already and every teacher has been so kind and welcoming. They not only offer a variety of classes for all ages, but also a variety of skill levels. They don’t focus all of their time teaching students how to be a competitor, rather, they teach them the necessary skills to advance in their own personal practice. It truly is the only studio in the area that a long time dancer like myself can practice and improve my skills while also having a great time. Highly recommended!!
Kimia Steed: I found NCDI and Ms. Kirstie during COVID, when the world was turned upside down, but NCDI allowed my daughter to have a little normalcy through virtual dance (which, by the way, was conducted with so much professionalism, and FUN)! After that, my daughter was hooked and we committed to making a longer drive in order for her to continue live lessons at NCDI. It's more than just dance, it's a space where my daughter feels loved, challenged and respected. As a parent, I feel like I have another positive group of role models for my daughter. She LOVES it there, and looks forward to going every week. I love that NCDI is your no-frills, pure dance studio. The kids are not working towards memorizing just one routine for an entire year, rather they are learning skills, building confidence, and changing it up routinely. All the while, they are learning to be respectful of one another and to never give up. I've gone through my fair share of studios and I have to say, NCDI is a gem. From Ms. Kirstie's contagious positive attitude, to the talented teachers, to Ms. Diana at the front to greet you, everything about it is positive and full of class. NCDI is one of the best things to have come out of COVID for us!
Megan Barnes: My children have been dancing at NCDI for 6 years and we could not be happier. There is space at the studio for everyone from serious dancers to those just having fun. I particularly appreciate the many times I have heard teachers use body-positive language. It feels like a wonderful and supportive environment in which dancers can grow.
Cynthia Mollenkopf: Best Dance school in the triangle.
Giovanni Torres: My experience at NCDI:Deciding on taking the chance to take classes at NCDI was one of my greatest decisions I’ve ever made in my life. Coming in as a high school sophomore with not prior training other than what my high school dance department offered, I often wonder if I was good enough to fit in into the dance/ballet world because of my economic and racial background. But once I stepped into the studio not only did I felt welcomed and received with open arms by every single one of the faculty member that it made feel like a second home. As a male dancer, those things matter because this type of environment is what keeps male dancers encouraged and focused on the art as it can be a cruel world outside studio doors and I’m very thankful I was always encouraged to never give in and to never give up on the art. Thanks to the amazing environment provided by NCDI, to this day I still keep up with the art thanks to all the dedication and hard work of all the faculty member who made me the dancer I’m proud to be today.
Sierra Scott: My experience growing up as a dancer at NCDI was nothing short of wonderful! Kirstie Spadie, the artistic director, made my mom and I feel like family the minute we walked through the door. We came from a competitive studio and wanted a more organic studio experience that focused on technique and building an all around dancer. I ended up training here for around 7 years, and the atmosphere at the studio was always more than welcoming. Not only were my teachers there for me, but my fellow dancers and other parents as well, which really allowed me to begin to flourish as a dancer ; knowing I had so many people who genuinely cared for my success. Mrs. Kirstie goes above and beyond as a dance teacher and I genuinely could not say enough wonderful things about her. I would absolutely say I left NCDI a much more confident and well rounded dancer than when I entered and I’d recommend this studio to absolutely anyone, there is something for everyone!
Cheryl Odametey: I am so grateful for NCDI! The sweet Director Kristi, really took the time to get to know me and place me in the best classes for my training. I was able to learn from some of the best and most highly recognized dance teachers in the area. They were all professional, yet fun with traditional styles that kept up with the times. And the community surrounding the studio is truly fulfilling; unbeatable amount of love and support. I highly recommend taking classes at NCDI- you will love it too!
Claudia Sofía: I’ve been part of the NCDI team for few weeks now and I’ve had such a beautiful experience. From the owner, to the teachers, the front desk and my classmates, they are all lovely people and make you feel like you belong there! I’m 23 years old going in with no experience, so believe me, nothing to be shy about with them. The classes are well structured and they are very professional. Nothing to complain about!
Justin langdo: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Value
Kelly Ruehlman: My daughter has been dancing with NCDI for the past few years and has really loved it! The environment is very welcoming and all of the instructors always seem excited to be there and engaged with their students. The director, Ms Kirstie, is very committed to each students success and growth as a dancer.
Casey Wortham: I am a dancer of over 17 years and after graduating high school I hit very hard point in my life. Going to college and majoring in Musical Theatre, my school didn’t have the easiest access to dance classes for my major. Coming to Ncdi right before my sophomore year was the best decision I’ve made! Taking classes like deep stretch (much needed), advanced jazz, contemporary and even ballet on the weekend are exactly what my body needed. Not only are these classes inclusive and a good length, but the level I chose for each one is the perfect level for me. Thankfully, even though I’m at a somewhat awkward dance-age, the staff makes it such a comfortable place offering classes for adults. Funny thing is, I’ve actually met other college students in my exact same position and seen some old friends in my exact same classes. This Institution is classy, professional, and most importantly a very enlightening place to be. :)
Ethan Baker: NCDI is a professional dancers dream; they offer a wide variety of classes that not only keep you in shape, but that challenge and stretch you to your full potential. When Covid hit, many of us thought we’d never step on stage again, and being able to come back to NCDI after over a year was an absolute joy. I am so thankful for Kirstie and her team. They truly are amazing.

Fred Astaire Dance Studio of North Raleigh: what do users think?
rhett high: Absolutely love Fred Astaire Dance Studio in North Raleigh! I started out a skeptic in terms of learning formal dance (for a wedding) but I have had the best experience at Fred Astaire. Since the first day the instructors have been upbeat and encouraging and FUN to work with! Shout out to Masha, Sergei, Adrianna, and Villen! The lessons are the perfect length of time and the progression through the program is steady and not overwhelming. My wife and I have found dancing to be a wonderful activity together and plan to continue long after our wedding event!
Alyse High: So much fun!!! I have had the best time “out of my box” learning to dance!! Everyone so friendly, nice, supportive!! They go above and beyond to make you comfortable! Great experience!
Sheri Zatz: I came to Fred Astaire after relocating to North Carolina and having to take two years off of dance because of COVID. I had been at my previous studio for seven years, and didn’t believe it would be possible to find another “dance family.” I couldn’t have been more wrong! Not only are my lessons with Serhiy the highlight of my week, but all the instructors are warm, fun and knowledgeable. Fred Astaire is my happy place, and I absolutely recommend this studio if you want to learn to dance!!
Christine Gu: One of the best ballroom dancing studios in the Triangle area. Cool instructors and friendly staff. Just love it
Tonya Lane: I started taking lessons at Fred Astaire Dance Studio of North Raleigh fall of 2022. The owners and staff are welcoming, patient, warm, and fun! In only five months I have a pretty good understanding of smooth and Latin ballroom. If you have ever wanted to give ballroom a try this is the place for you!
Chelsea Lang: This is, hands down, the best dance studio in the Triangle. After a hiatus from competitive dancing, I was looking for a studio that could reintroduce my love for dance in a fun but challenging way. I could not have asked for a more welcoming environment, or a more skilled instructor.I always look forward to my time at the studio, and I see the same thing from every person who comes here, no matter their background. Whether you are a seasoned competitor or this is your first time on a dance floor, this is the place for you.
Jim Armstrong: I started taking lessons 7/22 with intention of trying something new and out of my comfort zone. I never imagined it having such a positive impact on life. Everyone is very welcoming and full of positive energy. I had never taken a dance lesson before, and now I can’t imagine life without lessons. Thank you to everyone associated with FADS North Raleigh!!
Allison Boudrias: The instructors are amazing! Very supportive, encouraging, and challenge me to grow. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to start dancing or continue dancing.
Braden Salter: This place is fantastic. The people are really friendly and make you feel welcome, and teaches dancing really well. Adriana is awesome!
SAJAYLIS BUENO: “Transformative” is how I would describe my experience at the North Raleigh Fred Astaire studios. I joined over a year ago (with no ballroom dancing experience) and Sergei and Adriana have not only been wonderful instructors but become my friends in the process. And then, it all got even better when Marsha, Polina and Vilen joined the studio. They are all welcoming, charismatic, encouraging and extremely dedicated. I started dancing thinking it would a temporary hobby but it’s becoming a permanent part of my life. I am super excited and look forward to continuously learning and growing with this amazing team.
Vilen Petrosov: Nice place to spend your free time 😊
Маша Скаженик: Great studio😻Awesome instructors.Love to spend time in this friendly atmosphere
Wayne Carney: I cannot recommend this place enough! From the moment I first walked in, I felt like I was their most important student. I told Adriana my goals, and she was on board from the start and helped me reach them. I learned so much! And the dance parties are a lot of fun. :)
Travis Holshouser: Great experience!! Went in to learn a special dance with my fiancee for our wedding. Sergei and Adrianna were very professional and made the whole experience so much fun!! I never thought I would have enjoyed dancing until we did this. We looked forward to every lesson and we were very proud of the finished product! They choreographed the dance to our music and to our abilities. They were a joy to be around and were very encouraging, patient, and most of all.....FUN!!!
John Moore: Adrianna and Sergei are an awesome couple and are excellent instructors. My wife and I had a blast in beginner's and are signing for the next level.
Amanda Lee: If you’re looking for dance lessons this is your place! My husband and I did lessons with Sergei for our first dance at our wedding. The dance dates were fun and a great way to get some extra quality time in during busy wedding planning! Our guests loved our dance and it was fun to do something unexpected. Sergei is a great teacher, fun, and we really enjoyed our time at the dance studio!
Janet Nadile: Adriana and Sergei are real gems. They are enthusiastic and patient teachers who make learning to dance so much fun. And they throw a great practice party! The studio has bright energy and a beautiful floor. They are creating a wonderful community of students who have a passion for dancing. You will love being part of it!
Jermaine Fuller: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy wife and I have had a wonderful experience with Fred Astaire of Raleigh. Adriana is a wonderful, fun loving teacher who has elevated our dance game in a short time. I highly recommend her and her husband for learning the art of dance!!!
Alex Simakov: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat place to learn how to dance! Highly recommend this studio. The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable. Adriana is the best, if you want to learn Salsa, she helped me to learn some amazing moves. Can’t wait to take lesson from Serhiy next week.
Karen Findlay: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismFirst experience in ballroom dancing and it was wonderful. This was an intended gift for my husband, but I had a great time as well, we will definitely be returning and recommending.
Chelsea Bunyaviroch: The teachers are absolutely wonderful! Sergei is excellent at breaking down steps and dance technique into smaller, easy to understand pieces. Adriana is super at showing how to improve your steps with relatable examples. Both are very fun to work with.

Carolina Dance Center: what do users think?
David Evans: Great dance space with lots of fun classes for kids of all ages.
yuhh get into it: CDC is considered to be the most toxic studio in Raleigh by the dance community. Just about every dancer I've met has a CDC horror story. Some teachers here are wonderful, while others have literally gone out of their way to harass dancers they've decided aren't good enough. I don't mean nagging or just being constructive. I had a teacher here who talked about how terrible I was to OTHER dance classes. The kids are not much better. In general they are snobby, brats who mock anyone they decide is a bad dancer. The hierarchy was crazy, if you are a low level no one will speak to you. I advise everyone considering dancing here to look elsewhere!
King Danny wever (DJ The money): I love to dance
Jaime Adams: Positive:Communication,Quality,ValueGreat teachers and classes!
Analise Stevenson: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueI grew up dancing at CDC and couldn’t recommend it more! As I’ve gone on to dance through college and teach, I recognize how much of my training and experience I owe to them. The teachers are amazing and the environment is incredible. Highly recommed!
Christina G: My girls have danced at CDC for 9 years. We all love it. I appreciate the age appropriate music and costume choices along with the professional quality recitals that even Dad and big brother enjoy! The teachers are caring and truly love what they do!
Daphne Little: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
K W: This is definitely not a real dance company. It’s more of a babysitting service with no direction or goals to make your child a dancer. No matter how much you try to give or communicate you get no response from teachers/owner and staff. At one point the front desk said “ the teachers/owners don’t answer emails they are only here to teach.”My daughter spent several years bored doing the same dance even after moving up. We moved to a new company this summer and she wants to live there she loves it so much. It’s amazing to see what a real dance school looks like after being a CDC for so long. Glad we left!
Nicole Kreiser: From cute details for tiny dancers to mentor opportunities for older students, the studio finds a way to meet each dancer where they are. Dancers will find rigor and training to ensure proper technique. Recreational dancers will find opportunities for fun and training to meet their schedules. And the owners and staff get to know their students and recommend training according to a dancer's needs.
Nichole Maxwell: My daughter loves coming to dance class every week. She’s been coming for a complete year and has never once said a negative thing. She loves the teachers.
Tracey Dragoon: We love CDC!! The price is great, the staff is amazing and kind! We love the Disney themed recitals at the end of the year and the creativity! We absolutely recommend CDC!
Clinger Kids: This is by far the best studio we have been to! My daughter has learned more in a month here then a year somewhere else and she LOVES IT! The teachers and staff are amazing and super creative! I could not imagine her dancing anywhere else!
Southern Sugar Bakery: We love CDC! It’s been amazing to partner with them over the past few years and we look forward to working with them in the years to come.
Alexis Payton: Carolina Dance Center's faculty as well as students welcomed me with open arms when I first switched to the studio. Although I was never a member of their company, I still got the push I needed to take my technique and artistry to the next level. Every teacher has the expectation that improvement is tangible - especially if the dancer persists and stays focused during class. Ultimately Carolina Dance Center has fostered an environment that a studio should feel like - home.
Marie Miranda: The kids in the foundation and the parents are snubs. They give more opportunities to advance, not by merit but just by been in the foundation. Kids that don't make the foundation tend to be left behind by the kids and some of the teachers. Sad as this wasn't at the beginning. We love the teachers and they are fantastic, but it's sad to see your child held back constantly.
Emma Lewis: Overly competitive. Produces bratty, drama- queen dancers that have attitude problems. The worst part is that the teachers see dancers bully each other, but do nothing. Requires way too much time and commitment to dance just for fun. They make you dance 4+ days a week for 3+ hours a day allowing for little flexibility or free time. If you aren't in company, you might as well be cut off from everything. Gives snobby dancers solos and character roles in the recitals which boosts their already huge egos. Made my child dread going to class each week as her peers treated her like an outcast. Favoritism is common in every class.
Beverly Daniels: Carolina Dance Studio produces some outstanding dancers !!!!! My first time seeing one of their dancers, Taylor Hnatek was at North Carolina's Young Woman of the Year Program (formerly NC Junior Miss) in Greensboro, NC. My jaws dropped to the floor as I watched her dance on pointe. I was SOLD at that point and knew I wanted my granddaughter to begin dance at this studio. They also have outstanding teachers well trained in their field of dance. I am from Kinston, NC and my girls took from a wonderful dance teacher, Mary Beth Dawson. Not all kids go to dance to seriously learn the art of dance. Some attend as a social activity and to have fun and that's okay. But if your child is exceptionally talented, this studio is the place to help them grow. I say this from experience as a dance mom who has been to multiple competitions seeing dancers from all across America and Canada compete. Carolina Dance Center students can hang with the best all across America. 3 3 Thank you Missy and all the teachers at Carolina Dance Center.
Andy Miller: Unnecessarily and bizarrely competitive - shunting non-star performers to the side/back without explanation. Recitals are painfully long. Do a great job with youngest kids, making it fun.
Melissa D: My daughter has been doing dance here for 2 years. The recitals are long but are readily nicely done. The center itself could use some upgrades.

Ivette Acosta Soberanes: My daughter started dancing there 11 years ago and absolutely loves it! We are very strong, loving, caring and supportive big family!!! Teachers and talented and wise, as they bring choreographers and other dance teachers to be always giving that "plus" that characterizes the Company.
Courtney Ange: I’ve been dancing for a total of 10 years now and have been at three different studios. I started out at CC and somehow three years ago decided to come back ! The company has been so much fun and the staff for company has been great ! By far out of the three studios this is the best one!
Chaka Khan Fogg: ALWAYS a pleasant experience! ✨✨✨

kristen rinaldo: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMrs.Marlene is AMAZE!!!
Julia McGovern: Amazing and professional dance studio! The staff is an extremely talented group of people. Always kind and encouraging for the dancers. CCCO makes my daughter feel strong and confident about herself. Our family loves and highly recommends CCCO.
robyn: CC&Co has been the most wonderful studio ever! The staff are fun-loving, helpful, and pushes you to improve. I have been going here for 6 years and I have loved every moment. I get to dance with people I see on TV or at Conventions that are incredibly gifted! I am in the Jolt company and everyone in it are my family. I love CC&Co!!!
Hailey Lynn: I’m a dancer in Jolt and CC has been my home for 10 years. Thank you to all my teachers and friends for this amazing experience.
Ellie's World: I love it!! I came to CC's about 2 years ago now this is my 3rd year. I ♡ C.C and CO
Samantha Schpero: Let me start by saying I have never given a review of anything before so the fact that I am writing this says a lot!!! This place is absolutely the worst dance place I've ever been to. The facility is difficult to get in and out of. It's not parking friendly or stroller friendly. There is not enough seating. Its hot and stuffy. It's very crowded and difficult to maneuver around with your kids. The staff is not very friendly nor accommodating! The teachers are strict and intimidating to the youngsters. For the end of year recital, my daughters class of 3-4 yr olds is on a Sunday night at 7:30 pm (passed her bedtime). After mentioning this to the director, nothing was changed or even considered. She simply said "they'll rally". Overall, I'm extremely disgusted with this place and am looking forward to this all being over.
Brady n Krystal Ambrose: I found this place on Google while looking for a dance class for my daughter. They have alot of classes and options for you to take AND they are very reasonable price wise then the other studios I have seen in Raleigh and wake forest. I would just recommend you sign up early cause they fill up fast!I saw some reviews about them being unhelpful so I was on the lookout since I expect good customer service. They were very helpful! People I spoke with on the phone, at the front counter, buying her uniform, and speaking to her ballet teacher. All very wonderful! My daughters ballet teacher has quite the resume too. Very impressed who they have hired here and very happy I picked this place!
Melissa Weider: VERY unhelpful front desk staff! Too distracted with their own conversation. Facility is rundown. It is difficult to enter and exit facility. Some of the other dancers (kids) are allowed to bully the students, and the studio doesn't intervene. Not a good experience
