Chris D'Arco: Perfect for my needs. There is only 1 tub there so you might have wait for someone to finish. Everything worked perfectly and it was clean. $10 fir wash and $4 for every 5 minutes extra. I was able to finish fit $14 but if you have a long haired dog and want to dry it completely you'll probably need atleast 1 more $4 extra 5 minutes
Brian Castro: Convenient, quick, and the owner is very responsive. I have an 80-pound golden retriever and this works well. Highly recommend if you prefer a self-service.
Jennifer Johnson: $18 to wash our Saint Bernard and he was completely comfortable the whole time. No cold water torture, he is a big boy so not a whole lot of room but again he’s a Saint Bernard so the fact he fits is always a nice thing.

Elizabeth Jackson: This is AMAZING!! We have 2 100+ pound German shepherds that love to roll in dirt & get so stinky. They’re a pain to wash in our shower at home and take forever to dry off. The 10 minute timer was the perfect amount of time for each dog. We will be back!
Deiga Askew: I promise this is the place to be for me and the yungen..It's private I don't have to worry about other people or anybody standing over me making him nervous..plus i locked the door for security purposes and privacy..He did so well here vs home..I'm a forever client..the hours are awesome..I used my own shampoo and conditioner cause the yungen has super sensitive skin...other customers came as i gathered my supplies the waited without attitude...its well worth the time and I will only have the best for my boy....All in All on behalf of Yukatona Luv we are satisfied 1000%

Teaha Lopez: We stopped here after a weekend at the OBX - both of my dogs thoroughly enjoyed the beach and had sand everywhere! This was on our way back so we stopped in and I was able to wash both of my dogs (they are small, ~15 lbs each) in one wash cycle. I was pretty excited about the tea tree treatment option. The shampoo and conditioner definitely seem to be high quality - my dogs are still soft to the touch days later. I would definitely recommend stopping in here to give your pooch a bath.

I appreciate the size of the tub for my 95lb German Shepherd. Just big enough to fit her comfortably but not too big that she moves around too much.

Alex Emerson did a great job on grooming my 2 Australian Shepherds. He was patient and thorough. They look great. We will be back :-)
I was extremely disappointed in my dog's haircut. It was extremely difficult to schedule and was excited that this store finally had an opening for my dog because it is close to our daughters daycare. My wife picked him up and essentially paid and tipped before seeing the dog. Said he was too matted but that just isn't true and previously other groomers have done much better work with his hair in worst condition. We discussed being longer on the head and snout and it is just straight buzzed off. For the price I paid I deserved more effort in his haircut. Even now after a few days, his hair is different lengths and stray hairs being much longer than the rest of him. She never raised any concerns with his hair while we discussed before so just no detail taken on him. Just a lack luster performance and we will seek a different groomer for future haircuts.
April has always been so kind and patient. She answers any questions I have and helps me decide what is best for my pup. She does a great job and gives plenty of love! @Milly, the previous review - it says on the website that your dog can’t be medicated. It’s for the safety of the dog. A sedated/medicated dog is a dog that can’t tell a groomer it’s hurt or stressed.

Buster McLeod: We absolutely love this place.We have 4 dogs 3 of whom are rescues. 2 rescues have some behavioral issues and the staff knows exactly how to handle them. We also have a BRT and they are able to provide the traditional haircut. So much so when I brought him in for his first haircut the staff called me to talk through the different options. We moved to Raleigh a year ago and this was the first place we went and have never looked for another. I can't speak highly enough of City Pet Grooming.
Tracie Sanders: Today was my first visit to City Pet Grooming. I called earlier in the week to confirm nail care services and polishing. I have a 5month old pit. I told the person I spoke with earlier that my dog is current attending a behavioral school. She has anxiety & she is still a puppy & easily distracted. I informed the individual that I could stay to help monitor with my hand held behavior sensor. This sensor distracts Destiny from an unwanted behavior. I was told I was not allowed in the care area and staff would not take responsibility for any malfunction that may occur. I totally understand. During my time there one of the staff was encouraging me to shop til I drop because I was looking at there outerwear items for dogs. Later when Destiny was done I was told they were not able to provide the nail care service because of her behavior. I was told she knocked over the polish bottle and to not be surprised if she has polish on her fur. I am not and will not ever patronize this establishment again. I was told that they suspend the dog to manage applying theoish and allowing to dry. I wanted Destiny nails done for our family pictures this Christmas Eve. I’m still happy and Destiny is as well. We both have red nails

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with those of us who are unschooled in the language of canine grooming styles. If you are unsure about the length, they also have handy fur height swatches to guide decision-making. They will keep your choices on file, too, which simplifies return visits. While your pup is there, you can also have his or her teeth brushed for a small charge. That's a HUGE win for me and my grumpy old grumpster.Things to Know:1. Thanks to the boon of pandemic puppies, there is a pretty lengthy wait for first time customers. That is the case at every groomery in town (or it was when I was looking, anyway), so it pays to book well in advance. Once you're established, though, the time to an appointment is much faster.2. You must bring proof of vaccination to your first visit.

It’s been literal YEARS since my husband and I have owned doodles and been looking for a good groomer for them, and only since we have found City Grooming has our search finally come to an end! They were honest, strait forward, and gentle, and I don’t really know what more you can ask for :) Even when I picked up my cuties they didn’t bolt for the door, they were calm and comfortable there, and that also says a lot! 10/10 experience all around :)

Christine Elizabeth: Keeley is AMAZING! I have been taking my two babies to her since I moved here from New York in 2016. She is so wonderful with them and they love to go see her. She really takes the time to get to know your fur babies, she’s gentle, loving & her work is top notch. Even when I moved an hour away I still brought them to The Pawty to get groomed. I couldn’t imagine bringing them to anybody else. They are both senior dogs and are special needs so to find someone that truly cares about them and knows how to work around their needs is a blessing. I would 100% recommend her to anyone who is looking for a caring and professional environment for their dogs to be groomed.

Tracey Fisher: **Lack of professionalism alert. Customers beware.**Keeley, owner of The Pawty, has been grooming our dog for the past two years without issue. We recently got a puppy and Keeley agreed to groom her along with our other dog. Keeley was made aware of our puppy’s age and weight, and was sent a picture of her. The grooming appointments were scheduled three weeks in advance of the grooming date. Today, less than 24 hours before our appointment, Keeley informed us that a rabies vaccine is needed or our pup can’t be groomed. She also told us that our pup would not get a cut during the appointment since it was her first appointment. None of this information was disclosed at booking. I expressed my disappointment with her late notification and explained that we are headed out of town and have no other way to get our puppy groomed before traveling. Keeley knew that our puppy was only 10 weeks old. Any experienced and well-versed groomer should know that puppies don’t get rabies vaccines until at least 15 weeks old. Keeley stated that this is what all groomers require. She never acknowledged her responsibility in not informing us of her policies at scheduling. We have only ever had one dog and Keeley is the only groomer we have known. How were we to know her policies if she didn’t tell us at booking? She gave no apology for the inconvenience or lack of information provided, and she text my husband and I stating “find another groomer.” The entire situation is appalling. My husband still can’t believe that someone could be so unbelievably unprofessional. Beware of this groomer. The lack of professionalism and inability to accept responsibility for her actions is enough to steer clear of Keeley and The Pawty. Our soon-to-be new groomer couldn’t believe the text messages from Keeley either. Perhaps it was all a blessing in disguise. We didn’t realize how overpriced Keeley was until now and also how lacking her list of services is. I hope this review is helpful to any and all loving dog parents.
Jim Fowler: You can tell when someone truly loves and cares about dogs. Keeley is one of those people. She is a true professional, an excellent communicator and a solid groomer. My dog clearly enjoys her visits there and she looks great when she comes home. Book early. The Pawty appoinment calendar fills up fast.

Devon Longo: The pawty is exactly what I have been looking for in a Groomer. We had a groomer we loved in NY and when we moved to NC we tried a couple of groomers that were duds, once we found The Pawty everything changed. Our eight year old teddy bear has had so many successful full grooms and cuts. He has no anxiety going and can't wait to get into the shop. Since the shop is one dog at a time I never have to worry about him with bigger dogs-- he is about 11 pounds and easily overrun. We recently got a second pup (havaneese) and even though he is only 15 weeks and under five pounds-he has started this monthly grooming process. She has been so patient with him, as he is very small and wiggly!! He has had two successful baths and blow drys and a haircut. She is so wonderful at easing him into what will be a monthly process. I highly recommend The pawty to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, safe and talented dog salon. My boys are so happy and handsome because of them.

She takes the time to understand how I need them groomed. Her salon is so inviting. She has gated areas for the dogs to move about instead of confining crates. Asked several questions before taking him back. When I picked my Pomeranian up, they even offered to fix anything I didn’t like. But I was so happy there was no need for that.

jack o: Once upon a time we were attempting to groom our dogs Gabby(half Maltese, half poodle) and Izzy (a full-blooded Shih Tzu).. it was a nightmare. Our poor puppies never looked so bad. Since we began going to Planet Poochie about 2 years ago or so, our dogs always look good. Kiervi’s business has grown exponentially. She’s earned it too. Our dogs are happy to go, Izzy could not be more excited on the ride over to the groomers. Gabby tends to be a nervous and anxious dog, and we would not trust anyone with her, but planet poochie makes our dogs comfortable and happy. And that’s what matters. They always smell good, they’re fluffy, and super cute! She genuinely cares for animals and listens to our request for our girls. She always makes time to get us into the schedule before the holidays and I’m sure we will remain long term customers for years to come.

Grace Miller: We took our miniature Australian Shepard here three times. The first two times were wonderful. Our dog came back looking and smelling great. We did not have any complaints about his behavior at all. Today, we picked our dog up smelling great but with a poor looking hair cut. The girl said our dog was too hyper and was no longer allowed to be brought to Planet Poochie. I am guessing that is why the hair cut was poor. I am disappointed that this is the first time we are hearing about this.

Shelly Freeman: We have used this groomer for years and lately they have gone way downhill. The last two times we had an appointment we showed up and the groomer had not shown up for work and they didn't call to reschedule with us. When asked why they didn't call to tell us they said, "no one had asked them to call". Who would ask them? It's part of running a business that if someone doesn't show up you call the appointments to reschedule. Additionally, they also close shaved part of our bernese mountain dog rather than taking the time to brush out a tangle. I understand bad matting can't be brushed out but that was not the case here. We will not be returning to this groomer.
Matt Wood: This place is trash. Tried talking my dog here for a second time even though did a horrible job the first time. Second time the guy scheduling my appointment couldn’t even find any record that I was ever there and then scheduled me on a different date than requested. The workers that were there the day I brought my dog in said there was nothing they could do because they weren’t the ones who scheduled it. Zero stars for this place for sure

mgn purtz: i took my baby Pomeranian here for her first groom. they set her up with a mini groom to introduce her to the process and make it a good experience for my pup. this thoughtful thinking helps pet owners so much. i was so worried about her but she had a blast. her stylist to the pup stars jessica welcomed her with pets and love and let me tell you, my pup followed her and didn’t even look back at me. when i picked her up she looked so cute and fluffy. because she was such a good girl i let her pick out a treat. this place has an amazing collection of toys, food, snacks and bones. she was in heaven! my tiny super chewer picked out a great bone and has been carrying it everywhere with her. this place is amazing! the staff is so nice and knowledgeable. The baby can’t wait to come back and visit her new friend jessica for her next groom.
