Ryan Spivey: My cousin bought a scooter from them but something about that place just don't seem right. My cousin paid cash for his scooter but they didn't give the title for it. The guy said these exact words to us he said "You give us the cash and we give you the scooter" that was it he didn't say thank you or anything. You get no warranty or anything. He wouldn't let my cousin test drive it until he gave him the cash in his hands. I just didn't like the way they dune business that's all.

Charged me $400 over the correct value for a moped repair, and claimed it was a “math error.” Claimed to replace my throttle cable for $80, but he just taped the broken one which broke and I had to replace myself (these only cost $30). DO NOT DO BUSINESS HEREReply to his comment: why then was I charged $80 +labor for a throttle cable if you did not replace it?
Basil Walkes: I bought a new bike from this store and in less than a year old the amount of money I had to put into this bike, I would have been better served buying another new bike.I had kit installed for better performance. The kit would have worked if it was properly installed. I brought the bike back because the RPM's was way out of wack which was only going kill the bike. At a full stop the bike RPM would be over 6000 RPM. Mr Ramiro would say it was idling too high. I then took the bike to another shop because I was getting no where with Mr Ramiro. It ended up costing me $1,100 to get the working properly. Not a good shop for repairs

Nancy Warden: Signed a contract with the Southport office. A deposit of 17,585.00 was required. To date the only thing that has been installed is the concrete slab. I have spoken to the corporate office and was told all they are is the supplier. I have emails from the National Accounts Manager stating Southport would be in contact. Southport blames the Raleigh office. Blah blah blah. This is unacceptable! UPDATE here it is July 2023. I am discussed to think a big corporation such as AmeriGlide would allow their franchises to screw customers over the way Jim Cole has in the Southport NC.

Due to tight quarters, my setup needed the Powered Folding Rail, as well as taller rail brackets.When it arrived, I installed it myself in about four hours. Maricelis Hendry-Pena: Roger Adams turned a complicated delivery into a “walk in the park”. I needed my shipment to be sent to my parents house that is located outside of the US. Not only did Roger ensure I could easily measure my parents stairs with guides and videos but he was always available to assist with any questions or any hiccups I had with the cargo company I selected to use in order to deliver the shipment by boat to my parents. He was with me every step of the way and his professionalism and problem solving was refreshing for today’s society where we are seeing less and less of this. I cannot give enough thanks to Roger.

Sri Sadhu: Do not use Ameriglide to install your stairlifts. Absolute nightmare to get them to service/repair. They give the number for ?Dell Stahl, and they never answer. It's best to get a local dealer to get it installed. You have a better chance of proper chance.
Patricia Brinegar: Were it not for two individuals, Jessie Reeves and Colin Drakeford this would be a negative review. When Abbie Basham did not reply to my repeated emails seeking help to get the repair started for a brand new stair lift installation, i happened upon Colin. He was so pleasant and more than helpful--he must love his job. Colin provided telephone numbers but also names, giving assurance that they would resolve my problem. They did, thanks to Colin. Jessie followed up offering additional help and advising that she would be "there" should i need further assistance. Colin offered the same. If Abbie represents customer service for AmeriGlide, you are badly represented. Thank you Colin and Jessie for your help but also for your willingness and regard for my concerns. The lift is up and running now and i am liking it very much, as is my husband.

Donald Kochen: After a google search for best stairlift, I zeroed in on the Ameriglide. And I’m glad I did!Sales agent Abbie Basham was very helpful answering all questions and gave me a clear idea what was needed and how it would fit my stairway.Although I had no intention of installing it myself, watching the installation video gave me confidence that this was a good product.Stairlift installation was done in a timely manner by Bob Fren, a very competent Delstal technician.There was one glitch that showed up after a couple days.The optical remote control seemed to become intermittent sometimes.It turns out this was caused by interference from a Roomba “lighthouse” at the bottom of the stairs. I moved the lighthouse and the glitch went away!Everyone I talked to at AmeriGlide was helpful and eager to please.

The video helped us understand what to do. Our friends helped with the heavier items such as the motor and some more modern tools.The unit is functioning properly and we hope it will service us well for a long time.The manual has a few inconsistencies. Our questions were answered however and we are happy with the chair lift.

I am enjoying chairlift which I bought because I have broken ankle and could not climb my stairs. I did have one small problem with the chair lift with the seat belt they may immediately sent me a replacement and it arrived in a timely manner. I would highly recommend both Abbie and the chairlift.

Brooke Saunders: I'm not one to leave reviews typically, but I'm at my wit's end and don't know how else to get attention from this company. It's May 2023 and we've been trying to get a disability stroller since November 2022. A representative came to our house and did a stroller fitting, but did not reply to our emails or voicemails to check on the order status all through December. We were really needing to get this stroller in 2022 since we had met our maximum out-of-pocket for our insurance. I called our insurance company on Dec 21 and was told that the order had not come in yet. I believe the hold up was a misplaced fax at our pediatrician, but there's no excuse for him not replying to emails or voicemails.In February, our insurance denied the stroller. Someone from this company called me and told me she thought we could change the request to a stroller that was closer to a wheelchair and it would be covered by our insurance (although not fully because a new year had started.) It's now been three months since then and I haven't had any replies to my many emails or voicemails with this company. Meanwhile, my son is too big and strong for our regular stroller, but unable to be in public places without one for safety reasons. He has turned his stroller over with himself strapped into it many times, resulting in minor injuries, embarassment, and assumed negligence on our part in public places. Yesterday was the last straw for us...he flipped his stroller over in the hospital waiting room and everyone panicked.I would love to order from a different company but this is the only one in-network with our insurance that has special needs strollers. I'm so desperate and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I've heard similar stories from so many special needs parents in our area.
Matt Kuchinos: I started working with NSM on the process of ordering a new wheelchair in December of 2021. After the initial work was done, the NSM sales representative (Gordon) I was working with became unresponsive and the only communication I would get is from automated text messages. On multiple occasions, the status would not change because of a NSM mistake. At one point, the order sat because NSM claimed they never received a fax from my doctor, who claimed he had returned it to them twice. Suddenly, upon me telling them this they found it. These types of delays happened multiple times. When the chair was finally delivered (after multiple cancellations) in May, it had multiple issues. NSM promised to fix them, but after a few weeks they stopped responding with none of the fixes being made (kept saying they wanted to do everything at once). In the interim, the brand new chair completely broke down due to one of the issues highlighted at the initial delivery. After the lack of response, I told NSM to come and pick up the chair since it was unusable due to the issue noted above and they were unresponsive to all requests to fix it. While they did pick up the chair, they have yet to rescind the claim with the insurance company despite me requesting this many times since July. The response I keep getting from Lashika is "I will check with billing" yet after 5 months they still have these claims in with the insurance company. This will cause me to be unable to get another chair in the future because it is showing as if I got a chair when I didn't. In short, this entire process has been a nightmare and NSM is one of the most apathetic and unconcerned companies you could imagine. I could not recommend them to anyone.

Kevin Powell: My wife and I were referred to National Seating and Mobility by Assured Comfort (the Hi-Lo Bed manufacturer). We called and made an appointment for someone to come to our home, measure and give us an estimate. Mr. Gordon White was that person. He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the product. We explained our particular need, which he totally understood. He even called Assured Comfort directly, in our presence, to see if our particular needs could be met. As a result, we found out about an option neither one of us were aware of. Despite all of the previous negative reviews, we are very pleased with the service we have received so far and look forward to hearing back from them.
Tammy Bolen: We’ve been dealing with this place since 2000. From past and present experience, they drag their feet when needing things. You call to get stuff u need and it takes them forever to get things going. They tell u they will fax an order to your doctor, u wait patiently then you call a week or 2 later, doctor hasn’t heard from them and neither have you. It’s very aggravating when you are in a wheelchair, and need supplies and can’t get them in a timely manner. It takes way too long to get the things you need and hopefully this helps them understand how important it is for the ones who need this stuff to receive them in a timely manner.

However, the next day, my wife had some trouble with the wheelchair! I called Dave and he asked us to come back to exchange the chair for a different one. We chose a completely different chair and we are very very pleased. These folks are amazing to work with. I highly recommend this great place!

Paul Altman: Really comfortable, well built, power chair this is. I’ve been using it for nearly a year now, sitting, reclining, watching tv and occasionally sleeping in the chair and it is excellent. It’s a comfortable seat, with big plush arm rests (nearly tables), and iron clad and attractive material that is virtually stain proof. No issues with the raising and lowering mechanism, after a lot of use and hopefully it continues to work perfectly- unchanged. Great white glove delivery by Ben of NC Mobility, who is also friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful concerning this and all the products he handles.
