TK Elevator Raleigh: what do users think?
Jason Ayscue: I cannot begin to express just how pleased I am with the service that we receive on a continual basis from TK Elevators! Professional, on time, and just good people! I highly recommend their services!
Lauren Z: If the work ethics of these people are anything like how they drive, I'd never hire them for anything. Watched a work truck on I40/I85 almost run people off the road. They almost rear-ended me, just to pass me and brake-check me at our exit. Wound up stuck behind them all the way to a residential area. They were driving well over 50 mph through 35 mph streets. I found it funny that there was a sticker stating the truck couldn't go over 75, which was obviously false on the highway, but their "How's my driving?" number actually had numbers scratched off. You're in a work truck advertising your company, therefore YOU represent your company. Do better or hire better.
Roller Coasting: Elevators are supposed to be nice but every ThyssenKrupp I go into is awful man. There was this one in a hotel in Lumberton that was slower than a snail and made the weirdest sounds. Plus the fing every time it crossed the floor sounded more like a dying arcade machine. Another one I went into in the Cambria in Charleston smelled RANK like a rotting tangerine. And it was every day too, it didn’t just go away after the first day. 1 star for ThyssenKrupp elevators.
Paul Wright: Amazing food and wonderful staff. One of our favorite restaurants to go to
Emily Wolf: Critical:ProfessionalismThey began construction at 6am in a residential apartment building. Not only an awful practice that woke up residents, it's also illegal to begin construction before 7am according to local ordinances, but their representative did not care.
Neil Feinberg: Critical:ProfessionalismThey are performing loud construction outside of legal hours
Dale Williams: Good service; friendly technicians
TTV Cooper: Great business best in the world
Nick Pollay: State of the art facility
John Hinkel: Clean, organized and efficient.

Godwin Elevator Company: what do users think?
Mike Yabs: Smartrise has been working with Godwin Elevator for years, and we always appreciate and respect the way this company does business. Their professionalism and expertise is always welcomed, and their employees in the field are extremely knowledgeable about our products, making training and installation of our controllers even easier! We love working with Godwin Elevator, and look forward to supplying them many more controllers in the future!
matt hobgood: I selected Godwin to maintain all of my building’s elevators (33 total, several of each major brand) a little over a year ago and they’ve done a great job. Kevin and Alex are easy to work with and Wes is extremely responsive when we call in a service issue. I highly recommend.
Bryan Sinnett: We worked with Godwin Elevator on a residential install for one of our listings. Kevin, the sales representative, provided a prompt response to our request for a quote and was always available with any questions or concerns. But their excellent customer service didn't stop there, Alex Godwin followed up to make sure we were pleased with the level of service we were receiving (which we were beyond pleased). The quick correspondence, knowledge & ability to problem solve, friendliness, and genuine care for the project made them an absolute joy to work with and we will most definitely be recommending them to all our colleagues.
A. Mason: Can't say enough good things about this company and the service they provided! Everyone we worked with was very responsive and clear about what was needed to address the issue to avoid any future problems. The problem was fixed immediately and the customer service was top-notch. Highly recommend this business!!!
yalonda Coleman: ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGED WITH THIS COMPANY !!!!! My in-laws recently relocated from Maryland to North Carolina. My father-in-law is a disabled veteran and was hoping to find a home that would accommodate his needs. Upon viewing the property, the realtor made them aware the lift was currently not working but would be repaired prior to closing per the seller and seller’s agent (AUTUMN BUDDE) of Coldwell Banker Advantage. It was the agents (AUTUMN BUDDE) responsibility to facilitate the repairs. She hired GODWIN ELEVATOR CO to REAPAIR the lift. They charged 1285.00 for the repairs that was not repaired. Few days later lift is not working they return with an estimate of 2118.00 stating it was not repaired properly THEIR COMPANY. It appears that something UNETHICAL was done. You made a quick profit without completing the repairs knowingly, and Autumn Budde (Agent) seemed to only be concerned with her commission check. I say KNOWINGLY because your company website advertises Its 35 years of experience and all of your certifications and how you don’t cut corners when doing repairs (your words verbatim) you also state “ your work is complete with care and precision to ensure that your elevator is working efficiently and correctly” and “ You have the best available and nothing is more valuable than CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. WOW great use of adjectives to lure your customers in to your overpriced unreliable and NON guaranteed work. With all your credentials and experience you did the repairs on their property but DON’T stand by your highly knowledgeable technicians. The question of the day is this ……. Are you exaggerating your companies’ credentials or were you part of the shady deal? It’s one or the other. Unfortunately, my in-laws are the ones who suffered during this already difficult time. It’s seems like your company lost your integrity on this deal. You made NO effort to right this wrong. I also found it interesting you had very few good reviews to have been in business so long but magically after my father-in-law posted his a few hours later you got reviews. Your focus was on the wrong efforts. I leave with this quote “Money can extinguish intrinsic motivation, diminish performance, crush creativity, encourage unethical behavior, foster short term thinking, and become addictive”. Zero stars……. buyer beware
Mike Beaumont: Awesome Company with exceptional Response Time & Customer Service! Had to Call Godwin to Fix a Problem that the “So Called” Big Company’s couldn’t Fix! Thank You GODWIN👍
Ronald St. Clair: Unbelievable – Workmanship a bust! Relocated from Maryland and purchased a home to accommodate my disability condition. Prior to moving into this wheelchair accessible house, we were made aware that the lift needed repair. The realtor hired Godwin Elevator Company in Raleigh, NC to repair the lift and based on their invoice it indicated two technicians would trouble shoot lift. Believe it or not @ the rate of $287.00 per hour with a minimum of two hours equaling $1148.00 plus travel mileage $51.04; total bill $1285.00 including tax. The shame of it all according to the invoice “Result: From troubleshooting, determined that both batteries were bad. Replaced batteries,” however; after only using the lift two times it stopped running within one week of moving into our home. I’m a disabled veteran and this lift is my life line in leaving/entering our home and community. My wife and I relocated to North Carolina from Maryland and have never been in a situation where we would think a company such as Godwin Elevator does not back/honor their workmanship with a guarantee especially with the astronomical rates they charge “By performing this work, Godwin Elevator makes no guarantees, express or implied, about the future working of the elevator.” How do you provide a service and after a week’s time provide another quote for $2118.70 to repair a minute issue such as the charger that’s ridiculous. It seems if the batteries were dead, the next step in trouble shooting would have been to check the battery charger; they apparently did not. After finding another local company the lift was repaired for less than a $1000.00. I will never refer Godwin Elevator to anyone, especially with my professional background both with the State of Maryland and the Department of Veteran Affairs as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor after my retirement from the military where my customers were all individuals with disabilities (civilian & military population).
Dietchi Thomas: Very disappointed with the service provided by this company. On February 19 2019 this company was call out to do a repair on a lift at 25 Forest Hill Court in Sanford NC. The Mechanic did trouble shoot the lift and billed for 2-Hours. An additional 2-Hour Travel time was charged on the invoice. Plus .58 per mile of travel. The determination that was made was that the batteries were bad and a service charge of $1285.97. The unit appeared to function when the mechanic left the premises. A disable veteran purchased the property and moved in on February 22,2019. The new owner was able to use the lift in order to access the property. And on February 27, 2019 less than a week later the veteran call to say the lift had stopped working and he was unable to leave the property. Godwin was called since the repair was had been completed just 1 week before the veteran moved into the home. Godwin came out to the property and gave a estimate of 2118.70 to repair the lift. The Technician said the lift was not properly repaired but offered no discount on future repairs...Noted on receipt the company does not make any guarantees for work preformed or the operations of units they repair. Another company was called and the unit was repaired for less than 1000.00. With a guarantee on workmanship. Think twice before calling this company for repairs...Anyone that would take advantage of a veteran definitely cannot be trusted on repairs...Should have been Zero stars.

Otis Elevator Company: what do users think?
Chauncey Ray: Coming from a current customer, I am at my boiling point when it come to dealing with this company. First, our regular Acct Rep leaves and we are not notified nor do we know who our new rep is... We are over a year pass due for our annual inspection. Trying to be proactive, I reach out to OTIS to get on their schedule before the NCDOL shows up. Some guy promisses he will get someone out to perform the the inspection/maintenance in a week. A month later the NCDOL shows up. Luckly we passed but I should not have to work to get on your schedule and then you still no reach out or show up. Especially if I'm a paying customer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!
gerardo rojas: Very good
Nathan Cameron: As a commercial real estate owner, I have never worked so hard to communicate with a single company. I spent a year trying to get a bill pro-rated when we purchased a building they were servicing. They finally sent a form for us to sign. In the fine print, it mentioned a contract# which I assumed was the account # but no person ever indicated they were attempting to make us take over the previous owners 5 year agreement. A year later when we received a $900 invoice for two service calls we spent a couple of months trying to get these fixed as they were supposed to be $396. Then we asked to cancel service due to the multiple issues. They said you have a 5 year contract you signed. We said we never signed a 5 year agreement and asked for a copy. They sent the previous owners agreement with their signature. In reviewing the form I signed it had a different contract # on it and didn’t match the one they sent. They said it didn’t matter because it matched in their system. I have tried for the past 11 months to speak with someone in the legal dept with no success. The rep quit responding in Dec and it took until August to discuss this with the local GM. He wasn’t willing to assist and I am still waiting to speak with legal. This was all originally just to get a bill pro-rated. On top of that my new company said the work done on our unit was not up to code and they had not been lubricating the elevator. There are lots of elevator companies; find a good locally owned and run. This company does not deal with the person but obviously is all about the money.

REAL Elevator Solutions: what do users think?
Heather: We are unfortunately tied to using this company, as we purchased a home in which they had installed the elevator. Please note, during holidays they do NOT keep anyone on call. Our elevator went out during a power surge, and my 74 year old mother - who depends on that elevator to get up and downstairs - was stuck upstairs over Christmas! It was her first holiday after losing my father. We called the company on Thursday 12/23 at 4pm, and were notified that their entire company was closed and they had sent all technicians on holiday at the same time. Not one person on a rotating “on call” schedule!Tommy Faulkner, their owner, called us and also had no explanation other than “the staff took a vote”.All in all, this is not a company to depend on during an emergency. Look elsewhere for a dedicated service provider.
KS: I am revising my review from yesterday bc I had a call from the nicest person apologizing for what happened (aloof person that answered the phone when I called to see why the guy was late). I feel confident that the owners are handling her, so hopefully she’ll be better. We have always had excellent service where it pertains to our elevator. The service man was very knowledgeable and helpful. He explained everything to me and apologized for being late.
Lauren Setzer: We called REAL Elevator Solutions after they were recommended to us. We didn't have any information about the elevator and wanted to be able to use the elevator. They serviced the elevator and insisted that we install a back up battery. The 1st time we tried to use the elevator, someone was locked inside and the elevator did not move. We had them come back out and all he said was that you have to turn a key to turn the elevator on.... They had not told us to do that before and charged us an additional $200.The 2nd time we tried to use the elevator, it did not work again! We tried turning the key and that didn't work. I called and said we are not going to continue to pay when it wasn't fixed the first time. They came back out and said that it needed to be reset and which button to push. Then he elaborated that they do not make this elevator anymore and it was a "Ride at Your Own Risk". He even refused to ride the elevator which doesn't give you any confidence in the work. Then charged us another $200! When I explained to them that I said upfront I wasn't going to pay for something that they didn't fixed. I was sent an email that it would go into collections if not paid within 30 days. Please do yourself a favor and choose a company that stand behind their work!
Deepak Kumar: Very nice service
Paul Faulkner: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
# StayStrongJonnyGrant: My husband was injured in a car accident about two years ago and after over a year being in rehabilitation centers and hospitals I brought him home to take care of him. Since he is wheelchair bound and we have a three story home without an elevator he could not have access to all of the floors. That is where REAL Elevators came in and did a wonderful job of installing the perfect elevator to meet my husbands needs. Tommy Faulkner, the company owner, was wonderful to work with and was always responsive, answering any questions I had. His workers were courteous, understanding, and professional and installed the elevator much quicker that I thought could be done. The elevator installation has meet all of our expectations and has truly changed our lives. Thanks REAL Elevator for a job well done.Laura
Brad M: I consulted Real Elevator Solutions about installing a retrofit style elevator lift in a home. After being quoted and sold a specific brand lift, we accepted their offer. We quickly consulted and paid for 3rd party engineering, and cut a 4’x5’ hole in the floor of the home to RES and manufacturer specifications. It was only after multiple meetings and site visits, confirming the elevator style, pricing, shaft dimensions, engineering, and significant structural modifications to the home that I received word from Bill Faulkner (Sales) that they were unable to furnish the lift because quote “I quoted you the wrong Cab style....The price difference is very significant”, and they were ‘too busy’. The only thing left to do at this point was place order and install the lift. Real Elevator Solutions knowingly pulled the rug out from under us, and left a homeowner with a hole in the floor of their home, and no lift. They offered ZERO recourse, even though they were admitting fault for misquoting the cab style. (Which only affected their bottom line a few hundred dollars)We ended up using another local company for a ONLY A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS MORE (on a $26,000 job!)Further discussions with the owner revealed that he was ‘uncomfortable installing Savarria products’ (the lift THEY SOLD US ON), and was very defensive and was hardly apologetic. He was unable to explain his poor business ethics, and why a few hundred dollars of lost profit was worth the bad reputation. In closing I feel a duty to reveal this company’s poor practices to homeowners, contractors, and manufacturer. It’s obvious they lack accountability and are not concerned with homeowner satisfaction, quality, or reputation. Only profit. I personally recommend finding a REAL elevator company to do business with.
