Cydney Hatton: Went in to pick up a online order today around 1115/1130 AM. Went in store to look around for fabric and did not see anything. Got in line to check out to buy a drink...I completely forgot about notifying the store through the app for pickup. While in line I set it up for instore pick up. I noticed/overheard the women working at the register talking to another customer making a fuss about the notification coming through for a pickup saying that she couldn't take the order outside without the make and model of the car while my order is in her hand. Then she continued to make unnecessary comments to the customer about my order. I remember hitting instore pick up fo r my order so I didn't understand why it came up as curbside. I did not really appreciate the comments being made from the cashier. I wanted to speak up but I appreciate sherry checking me out and being friendly compared to the other cashier
Lexi Ray: Extremely unprofessional company, managers, and certain staff. Seem to not care about employees. Will never recommend or shop again. Do not waste your time with these people/company.
Jacqueline Deas-Brown: I had an awful experience there. I needed to finish a throw for my mother-in-law who is sick and the color yarn I had bought from them was not in the bin. The person working there said she would need the store manager, Sherry to help me. She was not helpful at all. I had the brand & color and Sherry told me I would have to look it up myself instead of having someone get the step ladder and check the boxes above. I googled it and got the item # from the Joann website which she could have done. She the looked to see if they had it in stock. I have never had such poor service. It was as if I were asking for the moon.

The fabric selection was plentiful and well organized. Just bring the fabric to the cutting counter and tell them how much you want. Very friendly staff too.

Everything I looked at was missing half the items on the peg boards.I saw one employee working in the entire store (suggests to me they aren't paying enough to keep staff, or they're purposefully running the store at barebones staff levels), and she was a bit rude, suggested it was my responsibility to put all of my products with the barcode up when coming to the register. At least it's better than Hobby Lobby because they actually use a computer so you can get out a lot faster.I'll stick to ordering craft supplies online tbh.

Anne Neville: What a waste of time…asked for help and the snotty salesman said he couldn’t help me till he unloaded something then he finished that and totally ignored me. So rude and a terrible selection of fabrics. Will take my business elsewhere.
Kat Moncol: Needlepointers beware when having pillows finished here. I picked up a pillow that was done there today and had to take it somewhere else immediately to be redone. My needlepoint was never blocked (after they had it for over 7 weeks) and they applied it completely crooked to the pillow form. They uppity attitude encountered there is not worth the quality of the fabric there. Shop elsewhere... now the work quality is suffering too.
Karen Smith: Had a wonderful experience with two extremely nice and helpful staff members at Printers Alley, shortly before Christmas. I would love to mention them by name but unfortunately misplaced the information. I was interested in some beautiful ready-made embroidered drapery panels that were on display, and commented that I wished they came in another colorway. These two ladies searched back in the stock room, found exactly what I was looking for, and packed them up for me to take home on approval. And all this when I had run in at the very end of the day just to take a look. I did end up buying a pair, thanks to their extra effort, and they look gorgeous in my living room.
D S: Recently experienced Printers Alley for the first time last week and I was impressed by the quality and selection of fabrics. A young, helpful employee cut samples for me. Another rather frosty employee rang up my purchase of a larger sample. Yesterday I made another trip to buy the fabric I chose for my project. The employee I interacted on this trip with was frosty and snooty which really seem unnecessary and disappointing for a fabric store. I will return when better fabric selections are needed for my projects but honestly the customer service is off putting and doesn't inspire creativity.
Jeff Heller: Absolutely Incredible Staff- Melody helped me choose modern British colonial fabrics for my couch and chairs. She is like an interior designer. They were very fast, and the craftsmanship was excellent. It looks great. 5 stars!
B. Walls: Horrible customer service. Staff isn't friendly and didn't offer any assistance. I was in the store for about 15 minutes and not one associate was interested in helping. After a very frustrating experience, I will not be returning.Not a single hello or good bye :( Seems as if they are not interested in working with the general public and show focused attention to a certain "few".

Erika Phipps: The staff here is very helpful and friendly, but also knowledgeable about the stock. And speaking of which - the variety of fabrics is amazing! There are so many beautiful patterns, of various uses (outdoor, indoor, furniture, pillows, some would even just make great wall hangings). There are patterns that will appeal to every demographic, and while the prices can go pretty high, there are also very affordable patterns similar to the more expensive ones. I'm very pleased at the fabric my daughter and I chose for reupholstering a chair that's been in the family longer than she has. :-)
Gary Bennett: Really bad customer service, communication, general management and lack of accountability to customers. It’s hard to believe a business doesn’t return calls, follow up with loyal customers after reporting an issue several times and finally telling a customer “oh well”! I recommend that future customers read some of these reviews and ensure you’re willing to take the risk of not getting what you paid for and know that there is a decent chance you will be disappointed in your decision to shop here.

The first time I called to see if it was on the way, the sales person said she was sure it would be in any day. She couldn't be bothered to check to make sure the order had been placed. A week ago I got a call saying the fabric had come in and would be shipped that day. When I called this morning I was told the fabric was never shipped to me. It will (probably) be here tomorrow. Very disappointing.

Beth Clayton: The material might be less than in other places, but where they get you, they ask you to send pictures versus measuring your items. You end up with extra material, in my case, 6 yards. When you say something about it, the response is you might need extra if something happens. Then if you don't ask for the leftover material, they sell it to someone else. It was not just me that this occurred; it also happened to my mother-in-law. She had 3 yards left over enough to redo all of her items.
Alicesfarm: I love this shop! I was treated very professionally and given so much welcome design guidance on fabrics and patterns and colors. I sent off my cushions, pillows and ottoman for recovering with confidence. I wasn’t disappointed! The outcome was terrific and the cost of my project was very reasonable given the quality of the fabric and the workmanship. I’ll definitely be back.
Gayle Gertsch: Another project successfully completed by Raleigh Fabric and Design! This time it was my kitchen chairs that needed to be reupholstered. I simply took my chairs down to the store, selected the fabric from a huge variety of samples; and they helped me with measurements, ordered the fabric, sent the chairs off to be upholstered and called me when they were ready to be picked up! The complete turn around time was just a little over 2 months which I thought was exceptional with today’s market and demand and the cost was extremely reasonable as well. So thank you again! I am LOVING my “new” chairs!

Sarah Anderson: Always enjoy an outing to Mill Outlet. Fabric selection is great, and everyone is so knowledgeable and helpful.
Charles Chambers: The Ladies were great ! Although I didn't purchase anything, I got good advice on how to find good homes for Grandma's sewing machine and big box of old patterns. Huge store ! Quite different from the old place across Capital (which was 2 lanes then) Blvd.

kay johnson: Went to get high dentisty foam placed in some new leather casing that I ordered. It wasn't a great job for the price. Guy told me to leave them because they were behind in orders. I left them and called back twice after no follow-up or call they were done. I finally go pick them up and foam guy was on break and unavailable.I find my own casing and get someone else to ring me up. I take them home and inspect the difference in my old foam I had since 2017.My old foam was still better quality and thicker. I was disappointed in this process. I ended up switching my old foam .

Made a tea towel (using an applique) & a monogrammed hand towel. Jordan & Maddie are super helpful & knowledgeable. They make a great team!
