Stephanie Rivera: I usually don’t leave reviews for retail stores, but I just had such an amazing experience. I came in looking for a dress for my daughter’s birthday and Jess was so sweet and helpful! She reassured me that she didn’t mind helping get dresses hanging all the way in the back and also suggested ones she thought my 17 year old would like based off of her usual style. I ended up buying two! Sam was also so sweet at checkout and I was truly blown away by how much better the customer service was here than at Francesca’s and Vestique! Will be back with my daughter for sure!!! Thank you, girls!

Kamona Herring: Confusing prices! I was directedTo the clearance area to find a belt and picked out one with the help of Taylor. When we looked at the styles and prices I pointed out this one is marked $8. She instructed me to take it up front. The belt rang up for $34.00. I told the cashier it was in the clearance and it’s more eight dollars. She called Taylor up to the front for manager to look at it, the same Taylor that I looked at the belts originally with. It was really disappointing to stand in line for about 20 minutes with only two people in front of me just to say that about what’s gonna be the original price with a small discount.

Rachel Drommer: I have never been more impressed by a single associate in customer service than when I met Paige today, she I believe is the manager of this location that was on shift. Not only did she help 10 customers at a time; running the dressing room, remembering customers names, getting other sizes, checking prices, greeting customers but she did so with a smile on her face & was the sweetest employee. All the associates working today were helpful, kind, and patient. You don’t see that in relation that often anymore but this was impeccable. Paige, you rock and made my shopping experience fantastic! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me hope in retail customer service these days, keep being you.

Barbara Shull: Horrible Experience! I ordered a lot of gifts for my college girlfriends which I needed to ship out before Christmas. I ordered these gifts on November 19, 2020. Every time I would check the status of my order it would just say “Processing”. I tried to call but only got voicemail. I tried to live chat and never got a response. I finally found the email address to the corporate office and sent an email. I finally received a response today that told me that my items were not available and that I would be refunded. I am so upset that I was allowed to put these items in my cart and purchase them only to find out they were not available. Nothing was communicated to me. If I would not have found the corporate email address I would have never found this out. I have been a loyal customer with Altar’d State for many years. I will no longer ever shop there again or give them my business as I find this customer service horrible and totally unacceptable. Very disappointing as I do like their merchandise but not worth the horrible customer service and lack of communication. I choose to spend my money at other stores. I just hope that many other people don’t find them in this same situation waiting for Christmas gifts that will never arrive. I was then offered a $200 Gift Card

Donna Matessa: I booked a Teal Box appt for today with Camellia. I took the quiz first to determine my shape and style then went in for my in person 1on1 appt. Camellia was very experienced with styles and colors since she was a runway model. She answered all of my questions professionally and patiently. She picked various dresses, tops and pants. Seriously if you are in a clothes rut or just need some professional advice and want to be more efficient with getting ready in the morning, book this consult.
Manon Noble: If it was possible to give less than 1 star I would. Not so much for the actual store but for the unprofessional response I received from the CEO.. Jim Nidiffer when I questioned the fact that I was never sent any shipping info. To this day I have not received the item although it was was ordered on 3/27. It took 2 different emails before he even responded. When I told him that if I didn’t receive the tank I would dispute the charge and order directly from the vendor . In the email he sent he told me that he was going to cancel my account, refund the tank top and then place me on his blacklist. He also told me that it was unacceptable to dispute a charge and order from a vendor. I have never heard of a business, especially a small business responding in such a rude way especially considering it was his employees fault. Find somewhere else to shop… You can order most everything they sell from the vendor.. Clara Sunwoo, Veronica M, Liverpool, etc..

At check out, it was not explained to me that any purchases were only store credit if you decide to return. This is not a store I frequent often because it’s quite a distance from where I live. Buyer beware.

Mary Obiol: I just wanted to shout out one of the employees. I think her name was Cleo. She is so very kind and helpful. She was training a new employee and I just admired her patience during a stressful situation. The new employee was having trouble charging both a gift card and a debit card. Cleo was doing her best to help and I just really felt like she deserved some recognition. I see you girl!! Thanks for your hard work.
Steph Chesebro: This is the most frustrating place to shop. I’ve gone several times and randomly they are closed when they say they are supposed to be open. You pay full price for things online that are discounted in stores, and their return policy only gets you a gift card - to which you can never use it for anything in store… because they are never open…
Kerri Shellman: My favorite store! This location is awesome. They play really fun music and they have a large selection of really cute clothes. If I need to find a gift or an outfit ASAP for an event, Ivy & Leo is my go-to as I can always find something cute. Also, the prices are very reasonable compared to other boutiques of this caliber. The salespeople are super friendly and helpful. The store manager is a sweetheart!

I generally find botique items too expensive for me and not my style. Erika Verdi: These girls are so kind! I had purchased a dress and fell in love with it, but ended up returning it since it was too small, and it was the only size left in the company. We were all so sad since we loved the dress on me! One of the girls went out of her way and came into my store a couple days later (I work next door to them) and told me she was at a neighboring store in the Village and saw the dress i loved in my size! She definitely didn't have to do that but it was so sweet of her to think of me. The prices here are also better than other stores in The Village that sell the same stuff

Today one of the girls was wearing a t shirt and spandex which seemed very unprofessional for a clothing boutique. As someone who’s worked multiple retail jobs I truly don’t see how the owner/manager sees this as quality customer service.
Alexandria McCarrick: I’ve always like ivy and Leo but has definitely gone hill. When a store is going to charge what is considered a little pricey for clothing, the feel of the boutique should match. Walked around with 7 items and in my hand and was never offered to get a dressing room ready, like they have in the past. The state of the dressing rooms were very sad, dust everywhere! They also need at least two hooks per dressing room, not one, especially when they rooms are so small. And they no longer wrap your clothes in tissue before bagging. A lot of small things that make this store lacking now.

Bella Clucas: I am a frequent customer to the Fab’rik store in Raleigh. Today, I walked in and was astonished by the customer service. The young lady working in there was super inattentive. She had no desire to be there and it showed. Her friend walked in. They were more concerned with their conversation then helping me with the shoes I was looking at and the pile of clothes in my hand. I pay a decent amount of money to the store and expect “decent” customer service. I am not super high maintenance where this is concerned but just expect a helping hand or someone who is, at the least, interested. This will be the last time I shop here, for that reason. I am super disappointed with this store’s employees. Do better.
Jimmie Watkins: Wish i could give them 0 stars. I have to echo the same sentiments as the other reviews shouting of their poor customer service. I received a set for Christmas this year that did not fit and since it was not within 21 days of purchase, they refused to exchange it for store credit. This is positively unacceptable to have such a rigid exchange policy, especially around the holidays and ESPECIALLY when they are still selling these items at full price. I cannot warn you enough to not shop here unless you are ready to eat the money. As a side note, if THEY send you a damaged item, their policy states that you have TWO DAYS to return it. Positively absurd

On multiple occasions, I’ve called the store and Ryan has stepped up to find whatever it is I’ve asked for, or provided another option along the lines of what I was looking for. She asked all the right questions to find the perfect look.Fab’rik has an classic variety of boho chic pieces for young professionals and is centered in the Village District. They’re my go-to for almost every occasion!
laura moran: I have been a long-time customer of fab’rik in Raleigh and I’ve never experienced any issues until today. Surprisingly the issues stemmed from the salon manager Ryan. Upon walking into the store I was approached by Ryan and told that everything on the perimeter of the store was 25% off except for one table in the center of the store along with a rack sitting just beside it. I said thanks and looked around. I looked at the shoes and saw a pair that weren’t my favorite but hey for 25% off why not. So after looking around the only item that I decided I was going to purchase was the pair of shoes. I got up to the front counter and a different girl rang me up and gave me my total which was not including the 25% off. When I asked her about it she then proceeded to tell me that the top two shelves of shoes were not included. So again since they weren’t my favorite I decided against them. However, when I got outside and Ryan was standing there I did say something to her since she was the one that told me about the discount. Her response “oh yeah sorry”. Not The response I expected especially from the store manager which she made sure to inform me of her title when I asked for her name when she began to get rude with me. I get that mistakes happen but the customer should not be responsible for your mistake. I drive quite a ways to get out to this store and it’s pretty disappointing that this is the service I get from this 21 year old kid running the store. Not ok. I run six salons myself and I would never give someone the attitude that I received today nor would I give someone an oh well attitude when I’m the one that made the mistake. I will be sure to share my experience with others especially all the people that I’ve recommended to come here over the years. Please Fabriq if you’re going to have very young adults running your business make sure they understand that good client service is a must and that they should check their attitudes at the door. I went back not even 24 hrs later I was there at 8 pm & went back at 12 pm. She told me maybe it was me that ripped the thread it was a big rip in the thread.
mg: This place would be so much better if whoever owns it gets rid of the manager named Charissma at the Southpoint mall location. She is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. She is rude to customers and she is mean to the other girls working there. On NUMEROUS occasions I have come in and heard her mistreating or disrespecting one or the other. She was so excited to find this place however, when my friend asked the employee to get a dress down she was so RUDE even checking out the cashier said nothing... my friend even said “thank you have a nice day” and the cashier said nothing! Just rolled her eyes! I was livid! They are so RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I refused to spend a dime in that store!

My mom brought a button down dress for $30 about 10 days ago but when you wear it the fabric doesn’t stay enclosed inbetween the buttons. We had the tag however they said they wouldn’t honor a return or exchange because it wasn’t attached which we’ve never heard of. Respectable business do not operate in this manner. The store associate relayed our message back to the manager who was present right in front of us but wouldn’t speak directly to us which I also thought was rude. Never ever again.
Christina Brewer: I would give 0 stars to this store if I could. The staff is beyond rude. I came to exchange a dress that I bought with the tags and my receipt. After purchasing it I went home and noticed a very large snag in the fabric. When I tried to exchange it the manager refused. As a broke college student, I was left in tears with the staff laughing in my face. Do not purchase clothes from the store. Never have I ever been treated so poorly with customer service. I’ve worked in customer service before and know this behavior is absolutely unacceptable. Not to mention the clothes are cheap. Go somewhere else with your business.

Kayla Burch: Went to this store a few days ago...it caught my attention with all the colorful outfits in the window. Upon searching I found numerous dresses that caught my eye. However, after scrolling through a few racks I noticed the only sizes I seen were smalls and mediums. Finally I found a few size large dresses but was informed by one of the workers they didn't sell sizes over large. OK. Grab a few larges (which I can fit in most stores) and out of the 6 pieces I had, only 1 decently fit. I feel like the outfits ran fairly small. The prices of the dresses were decent for the material but I left the store disappointed that they didn't carry any larger sizes.

I went to Crabtree yesterday, and my shopping experience was very pleasant because of Vestique’s employee, Spencer. She politely greeted me and was attentive without being intrusive. She had great control of the entire store on a busy Saturday, and her customer service was exceptional. I don’t write reviews, but I wanted to share because I hope this shift in a positive direction continues.

T: Recently bought a new silicon bra and I was told at checkout that returns had to be completed within 15 days. Well my new bra would not stick at all and when I brought it back I was told they would not accept this item as a return.UPDATE: The manager of the store responded to my review and explained that the situation was a misunderstanding and that while they do not accept returns of stick on bras they would exchange it for a new one since it was a defective product. Thank you Vestique for fixing this for me and responding to my review!!
Jennifer Hoehle: I have been a loyal customer at vestique for 7+ years. They have cute clothes at fairly reasonable prices. In the past, if I needed to return or exchange for any reason I’ve had no issues. Recently I bought a dress for a vacation. The weather ended up being super cold and I didn’t wear it. I finally had a chance to wear it but when I put it on, I realized it was WAY too short for me. The item is still being sold at the store and online, however, it had been a couple months since the original purchase date. I figured I would at least get store credit and get something I can actually wear. However, the store said they had recently changed the policy and could not take it at all. Even tho, they are still selling it! And the tags are still on the dress! I never would have purchased a $54 dress if I knew I wouldn’t be able to return for at least a store credit. Disappointed in the customer service and unclear return policy. I will not be returning.

They're there to help you style the perfect outfit or if you just want to browse they'll leave you alone and have you look around on your own. The customer service experience outside the store is lacking though. I've had a shirt altered by their seamstress and the turn around time for it took about 2 weeks. In my opinion that's a long turn around time that should've been presented up front. I paid $10 for it to be shipped back to my place of residence which is also over priced considering priority shipping is $7 for a small flat rate box. I ended up in town when it was ready so I picked it up instead. I didn't mention that I had already paid $10 for it to be shipped back to me. I just let that go. That 2 week turn around time was only for the tailoring. It would've been closer to 3 weeks had I waited for it to be shipped. I had also tried on a white dress at the store but I noticed it had brown markings on it. They said they would have it dry cleaned and shipped to me free of charge which is great. The turn around time was about the same for the first item and I received it about 3 weeks later. The dress arrived with the same markings it had as when I tried it on in the store. I have great experiences in the store with the staff but it seems like once you purchase the item they don't seem to care about your experience afterwards. Communication is lacking. The turnaround time for tailoring and shipping should be stated up front and the dress should've been checked after the dry cleaning to see if the stain was still there or not. They should've communicated to me that the markings were still on the dress before shipping the product. Dissatisfied with the customer service after leaving the store.
nicole: I love The Art of Style! I went in after work on a whim and bought several really great pieces that were unique and edgy - i.e. just my style with high quality materials. Kendra and Alexis were super helpful and honest about what looks good, as well as just friendly and personable. They all had great recommendations and I'm excited to come back soon!
Jeri Lindsey: My husband and I were walking downtown Raleigh and i needed to use the restroom. We popped into this shop and I asked to use theirs. The girl behind the counter started to tell me that they usually don't get "people off the street" asking to use the bathroom. And said, "Just a minute" and proceeded to check put not one, but two ladies before allowing me to use their restroom. She let me in. While I was in the restroom, my husband asked her why she was so rude to me. She again said that they usually don't have people walk in off the streed needing a bathroom. She had absolutely no way of knowing whether or not we had money to spend in her shop. Which we did. If i was going to spend it somewhere, after the way she treated me, I wouldn't have spent a dime there. I thanked her on our way out and she smirked at me. Only after we had left did my husbamd tell me aboit his conversations with her. Overpriced clothing and a rude salesgirl
Stephen Roe: Honestly the only place downtown to get stylish and current men's clothing. I've stopped in for a tie bar and a bow tie and there are literally no other options. The staff is helpful and Kendra is amazing.

James Stanley: I can't say enough good things about The Art of Style in Downtown Raleigh. The store is small but there is a lot of stuff packed into it. As a man, it is usually pretty difficult finding a stylish store that doesn't exclusively stock suits and stays away from the come-and-go of fashion trends. The Art of Style is a perfect spot in the middle. Looking for a fantastic Blazer? They have you covered. Looking for some shorts and a nice button up? They have that too. Everything from great jackets to swimsuits, they have it all. I think most of all, the majority of the pieces come in great base colors. This is the kind of place that you can build a wardrobe around, rather than buying one shirt that matches that one pair of pants that you wore twice. These pieces are timeless.Furthermore, Kendra and her staff are fantastic. They are more than happy just to let you browse without looking over your shoulder, but as soon as you have a question, they are there to answer it. I think this is an understated but pivotal part of a good business. I have walked into men's stores before and had four attendants just watching me, offering almost too much help. You have to let the customer discover what you have, and The Art of Style does this brilliantly.In short, their prices are good, their pieces are great, and the staff is a joy to work with. If you are anywhere near them in Downtown Raleigh, don't miss out on a chance to stop by. I will be back in soon myself.

I was shopping for a work conference and could easily afford anything, however, the hostile environment prompted me to leave. So if you plan to visit the store in comfortable clothing on a cold day, prepare to be dismissed and ignored.
