Blue Line Aviation, LLC: what do users think?
Shyam Neupane: I recently completed the career pilot program at Blue Line Aviation, and I cannot praise them enough. The program was incredibly organized and fast-paced, ensuring that I gained the necessary skills efficiently. The instructors were exceptional, providing excellent guidance and support throughout. I highly recommend Blue Line Aviation to anyone seeking a top-notch flight school experience.
Johnathon: Gabe was the best instructor to ever happen at Blueline. I had him for Commercial Single and he was the most professional and knowledgeable instructor Iever had
brayden foster: Wonderful school, Instructors and Aircraft. There isnt a program like it out there. This program while tough was very rewarding in the end. I was able to get my PPL-MEI all in a very short amount of time. Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way!
Allison Halstead: Unprofessional, dishonest and disorganized. Very clear that profit is this “schools” only concern.
Will Onorato: I'm a current student within Blue Line Aviation's Career Pilot Program. At the end of April 2023, I passed my Instrument checkride on the first attempt. Alongside Blue Line's robust and rigorous syllabus, my instructor Connor Leonhart greatly prepared me for the checkride. Without his expertise, poise, and fundamental knowledge of instrument flying, I couldn't imagine getting my instrument rating in 3-weeks anywhere else. Thanks Blue Line & Connor!
Tony Stevens: Just as other previous reviews mentioned - difficult to get in touch with anyone and the program has changed. So many better places to earn your certs. I would not recommend Blue Line Aviation to anyone.
Tim H: I give Blue Line 4.5 stars, because there is always room to improve. The squeakiest wheels get the grease.. if you miss a day for a migraine or a doctor’s appointment as it currently stands you’ll mess up your entire built out schedule. Students are missing flights and ground lessons, then trying to make them up to get back on track and it’s not shaking out. As far as I can tell, the students who belly ache the most get their schedules back on track.. and other non confrontational students get their schedules rebuilt for a later graduation date. That really hurts some students who need constant engagement the most. However, that is within the realm of control and Blue Line works on improving the flow every week.Be kind.. Be patient.. Be healthy.. Be on time.. and study! The most knowledgeable and kind people at Blue Line I’ve interacted with(in no particular order) are; Jack Curtis, Connor Leonhart, Joe Picarella, Cody Richards, Emily Rubio and Ron Lee.Halfway through CPP at time of writing.
Jp Peloso: A few, short months ago, I came to Blue Line with zero experience…now I am an instrument rated pilot working through the commercial academy! This program has been extremely helpful in not only getting me prepared for the checkrides, but also building the confidence needed to go into them. My instructor, Connor, was a great help in getting ready for the instrument checkride. His patience and ability to teach went far beyond what I could ask for. He has (and continues to) provide knowledge and experience that I will take with me through the remainder of the program and career. If you are looking for a career in aviation, I would highly recommend looking into Blue Line Aviation!
Joseph Fogle: I just got my Private Pilots License at Blue Line and I am enrolled to finish the Career Pilot Program. If you come to Blue Line and have the chance to have Connor Leonhart as your instructor you will have an amazing instructor and an even better time flying. He makes the time there enjoyable and as least stressful as he can. He is tough on the ground knowledge, but that's definitely a positive. I am very thankful that he made sure I was more than ready for my check-ride. I requested him for IFR but didn't get him as my instructor and was pretty bummed about it.
Kai Wessel: Great instructors, exceptional equipment. poor management, lack of communication, numerous scheduling issues.
Dennis Mack: Trying to get ahold of someone to ask about information is like pulling teeth. Go to a normal flight school, the training will be better and you'll be a better pilot for it. These accelerated programs will get it done fast but not well.
Wyatt Wuest: I am close to finishing the Commercial Single Engine Land course and I was lucky to have Wyatt Rymer as my instructor. He did a great job of teaching me what I needed to succeed and more, while still ensuring that flying remained an exciting and enjoyable experience. A fellow student and I were his first students and he did well right off the bat, I expect it only gets better as he becomes a more seasoned CFI.
Nate Jones: I recently Finished the commercial program and couldn't have asked for a better instructor, I had Wyatt Rymer as my instructor and he provided an atmosphere that felt like I was at an airline. He is very professional and knowledgeable and Always put safety first! I've never had to question his judgment, he taught me everything I needed to know which allowed me to pass my check ride on the first try!
Kate Lassiter: I recently completed the first portion of the Career Pilot Program with Blue Line Aviation and had a wonderful experience. My instructor Connor went above and beyond to prepare me for the PPL check ride and expand my understanding of aeronautical knowledge that I will use throughout my entire career. His encouragement and commitment to the success of his students has been exceptional. I am thankful for the supportive community and helpful instructors at Blue Line who have made this an amazing experience overall. Looking forward to continuing my training in the Career Pilot Program!
Sarah Bennett: I just finished the commercial academy and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thanks to my instructor, Austen Taylor, I was more than prepared for my checkride. His advanced knowledge and persistence in making sure I knew and understood the material allowed me to go into my checkride feeling completely confident. I would absolutely recommend this program and instructor.
Levi Gho: I would definitely recommend Blue Line Aviation as a place to build a foundation for a career in aviation. After starting with zero experience, Blue Line’s rigorous and thorough training system adequately prepared me for my checkrides and have helped me develop a strong understanding in the basics of aviation as well as prepared me for my career. My instructor Connor did a phenomenal job of preparing me for my commercial practical exam, and prepared me to a higher standard than required which helped me transition smoothly into the next stage of my training.
Matt Cea: I finished the Commercial Academy a few weeks ago and had two great instructors and a great experience overall. Jarod Estep was my first instructor who was so knowledgeable and relaxed and made every flight a breeze. He left to go to the airlines a few weeks into training so I was picked up by Connor Leonhart and he amazed me. I was one of Connors first students, but if you didn't know any better you would think he had been teaching for 3 years already. His knowledge of the aircraft, regulations, and anything aviation related easily helped me through the program. He was a fantastic instructor who was patient when I was learning new maneuvers, but also challenged me to become a better pilot every time we had a lesson. My time at BL has been better because of his instruction.
Vincent S.: I just completed my Certified Flight Instructor check ride at Blue Line Aviation. This was only possible thanks to the amazing preparation due to Connor Leonhart’s tutelage in the Commercial Pilot Academy setting me on the right track for the future. Upon starting the CFI course; Lake Tucker, Mike Ferrell, and Anthony Giacobello in a combined effort prepared me more than anyone else could for the undisputed hardest check-ride of them all. I can’t thank any of them or Blue Line Aviation enough for the opportunity of a lifetime. Thank you for everything!
Matt Schaffer: I just finished up the commercial academy at Blue Line and was very happy with my experience. My instructor was Connor Leonhart and he was a great and very knowledgeable instructor, I cannot thank him and Blue Line enough for helping me to achieve my goals!
Joseph Green: I just completed my private pilot training at Blue Line on October 8, 2022. My flight instructor Christian prepared me from day one to be a capable private pilot and was always available to help me. He prepared me so well that my PPL check ride was easy! It took me about 5 weeks to finish my PPL training and I never felt like I missed any necessary training. Overall great and rewarding experience.
C N C: In my opinion very over priced for the services being offered. Does not feel like a good value for the money. Also it seems like it lacks good management and organization. Very disappointing.

FlightGest Academy: what do users think?
Caiolinn Ertel: My right engine would not start (starter didn’t engage at all) Their mechanics got me going with a few hammer taps on the starter and I got out before the hurricane (IAN) and made it home. Mr. Warren called to check on me the following day and told me no charge. Thank you so much for the wonderful on the spot service!
Agaard Adaar: Fantastic flight school, great instructors, and convenient location! The planes and RDU are great for learning, but the main attraction of Flightgest is the instructors. I’ve flown with multiple different instructors and they were all very friendly and expert in their knowledge. If you are looking to learn here I highly recommend Brandon and Colby as they are both skilled teachers.
Jay S: I’ve been working with Flightgest for years now and I highly recommend them for training and aircraft rentals at RDU.
Leon Brown: I hope I can start in a month. I'm excited
shaked maltzman: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Eric McBurnett: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreat flight school and great place to rent planes! Professional flight instructors and office staff.
Eli Zablud: Head great experience people are nice welcoming And very knowledgeable
Luke Fields: I loved this because I had a lot of fun
Juan Hoppert: Highly recommend. Great flight school. Knowledgeable flight instructors!
Eder Correa: Nice place to learn to fly.
Spencer Hart: Took my FAA107 Test here, easy experience and nice staff!
Daniel Minto: I have been flying with Flightgest, for over 10 years, their team of CFI's and their Chief Pilot take the time to understand your needs and goals, and then help you meet them. This is individualized training that can go as fast or as slow as needed. Rusty pilots this is the place to come too to re-build your confidence and get flying again.
Anton Bezuglov: Friendly staff and competitive costs. Recommended!
Jordan York: A combination of an incredible staff and diverse fleet led me to move to Raleigh from Ohio, strictly for FlightGest. I earned my instrument rating in three months, volunteered with Operation Airdrop & Pilots-N-Paws and have been able to take two trips to visit family in Ohio with the 182. FlightGest has provided me with safe planes to experience incredible opportunities within the aviation community.I am currently training for my commercial license to eventually work for an airline; however, they have students with every type of aviation goal. I could not recommend FlightGest more to anyone interested in flight training at any level.
Paul Kazmer: Top notch training, excellent instructors. I completed my private last year and am working on instrument rating currently. Well run, professional. Go fly!!
Mandy Brown: Best place to learn to fly! Loved it
