The corners of the frame were chipped and poorly assembled as the gaps are significant and pulling apart the wood filler. Not what we expected after paying for a custom frame :(

George .Lamontange: I brought a piece a friend created for me in for framing. I have had some bad experiences in the past working with framing places taking forever and not being happy with the work that was finally produced when I got it back. This was not the case with Flink's! They worked with me to help choose a frame style, and matting style that would best show off my art, and they put it all together quite quickly. When I got the final piece I was very happy with the end result. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for high end framing at affordable prices, and with great turnaround time :)

Sean Dill: I called to discuss two projects needing framing work after seeing the store front in a nearby shopping center. We’re new to the area and had been using a chain store, which does okay work, but I do like shopping local. When Sean answered the phone, I introduced myself and let him know I had two projects I wanted to discuss and asked for a ballpark quote on a double mat 16x20 frame with quality glass. I disclaimed to him I was aware there were numerous options affecting price, but I just wanted a rough estimate. Sean took offense to my inquiry and responded with “my shop is focused on creating beautiful frames for our customers who aren’t dollar driven. If that is your focus, you’re need to stick with [chain store],” and then he rudely hung up as I tried to clarify my ask. While I certainly appreciate an artisan who is dedicated to their craft, we do not live in a world free from economic constraints. The reason I was inquiring for pricing on this project is it is a straightforward standard size which probably would be fine being framed at a chain store. However, the other project I wasn’t able to discuss is a full custom piece in an unusual size with an atypical art medium where price is much less of a concern and I do not trust the chain store to handle. I’m extremely disappointed with the way Sean handled my call. I left a voicemail with him clarifying my ask, but a quick check of Google reviews afterward showed I may be better off finding another shop anyways. His framing may be amazing, the pictures posted look very nice, but the tone he took on the phone is very concerning and I won’t be contacting his shop again.
Daniela Alldredge: We didn't purchase a frame from Framecrafters but they did help us to cut down a frame for my son's puzzle and didn't charge us for it!!! They also helped to get the puzzle into the frame to make sure it fit and was secure. They also added more support to it and gave my husband extra support for another framed puzzle we have. Again, they didn't charge us a penny for any of this. The next time we need a frame we are for sure going to visit Framecrafters. They went above and beyond and didn't have to. We highly recommend this company.

Kristen Douglas: Don't go to Framecrafters Custom Framing in Falls River. After having several pieces completed with great satisfaction we went to him to frame a canvas we had recently purchased. After 2 to 3 weeks of not hearing about the completion my husband and I stopped by to check on the status. He was frantically looking through the store for the project then came out with our incomplete canvas still in the tube, handed it to us and walked away. No explanation, no sorry nothing. I am very disappointed with his lack of care and customer service. Honestly his shop was so disorganized I'm just glad he didn't lose it. I'm sorry if this isn't allowed here... but I just wanted to warn people given that items you frame generally have great sentimental value.

Kristi Boughter: I am so happy that I did my research prior to taking my artwork for framing. We live in Wake Forest but the reviews for the local frame shop mentioned that they were quite expensive, and while I wanted to invest in framing them with an expert, I wanted a fair price. I wish that I could remember the name of the lady who helped me because she was amazing and oh so patient with me. I don't know anything about framing options and can be somewhat choosy so she went with me through several different iterations until I finally found exactly what I wanted to each piece. The artist had provided me with framing instructions and she thoroughly read through them and helped educate me on how to best present pastels, and while properly framing is still expensive I felt like I definitely received a value ... and I was actually surprised at how low their labor cost was. I am working on a gallery wall at home and will definitely be taking my new pieces to Frame Warehouse.

I bought in a screen-used prop I bought from John Wick 3 in an auction and they handled it with such care, even putting gloves on before touching it. I gave them the layout I wanted and got the museum glass option. I came back in a few days and I literally hugged the employee that put it together. It looked better than I ever thought it would and it is literally the centerpiece in my man-cave. Could not recommend this business more! They do amazing work!

Tim Hass: I went in there shopping for an artist friend of mine, and honestly had no idea what I was doing. The man working the register was so patient with me as I kept asking 'Is this it?' 'Is this it?' 'Where can I find this?' Great customer service, and my friend was impressed by the prices.
stephanie rouquette: Loaded with supplies. I usually have to find my printmaking stuff online. They have a nice selection of inks and linoleum, plus just scads of other supplies. They have just about everything I need. I wish they had carving tools. Maybe they do, and it's an excuse for another trip. I could spend days here.
Ted Briggs: This is an art supply store for real artists. Great, high-quality selection. Jerry's is based in Raleigh and family owned and operated since 1968. Skip the other cheap, corporate chains with low-quality stuff. I've bought everything from sketchpads to linoleum block carving tools to watercolors here.
Ash Lewis: I'm obsessed with this store. If you have interest in any type of art, they've got you covered. Great selection of canvas and paints, and supplies for more niche projects like book binding.

john talk: I've had the experience twice where the price in the store is not the price advertised online. The first time, the price online was given to me. Today, I was told that the store would not meet it's advertised pricing.I've learned my lesson. I believe their business ethic is horrible. Which is weird as their staff is fantastic. Somehow the ethics of the ownership has not been passed down to the employees - and that's a good thing.I wish I could do business with a local company, but online it is from now on.
Luverta Gilchrist: Very disappointing. What they send you online they don't carry it in the stores or if they do much higher.
Martin Brossman: An amazing selection of art supplies and really good help. I was looking for a mechanical pencil and graph paper and they had a real nice combination.

John Leschak: Unfortunately this will be the last time I go to Jerry’s. A combination of the wrong day for me, non-customer focused staff, and prices I can do better at elsewhere (maybe or maybe not, but at least spending it with a business that provides butter customer service). I needed a piece of mat board cut to be able to fit it in my car, they wanted to charge me $1 per cut, simply so I could take it home….it wasn’t the dollar, it was the principal that I would have to pay money for a service to allow me to put it in my car (I figured any customer-focused established would do this for a customer to take it home, like Lowes cutting wood or glass or cord to tie something to your car at no charge…guess I should have brought the SUV). I have been needing to find an alternate supplier and this was just a catalyst for me to do so and now it will be delivered to my front door for me.
Zachary Wells: Poor training of employees and bad customer service. Very unfortunate experience as I would have loved to have shopped from a local business. I have worked 15+ years in customer service and what should have been a simple and easy interaction came to a sour first time visiting this store. I really don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews and may give the store a second chance at a later date but right now this is my opinion based off my experience.
Lydia Jordache: They have great selection, everything I could want times 2. However, they do a pretty bad job at labeling prices. If you're lucky, there's a sticker where a sticker should be. If not, there will be a sign somewhere with general prices and *no* indication when there's an exception. Makes it very difficult for someone on a budget to shop there! i thought i had an idea of what my basket of things would cost and was DOUBLE underestimating!!For example, no stickers for each paint in an area but a sign saying they're a little under 7$ each. Get to the check out to find one of mine is 20 + and the others were 9????(Of course the prices are not cheap-cheap either, but that's alright if you care about supporting brick and mortar art stores.)

Carmen Bracey: Karen with Pigfish Lane Custom Framing does fantastic work. I approached her with a large project of six frames with a short timeline. She was very professional and worked hard on our project. She not only completed the frames in time for our event, but did them beautifully as well! I will be back next year for a similar project and I highly recommend her for your custom framing.
Robin Broughton: We took an antique pastel to Karen for reframing due to some water damage inside frame. Her care and restoration included bringing the pH of the picture back to neutral. It was done over 100 years ago on the back of a cardboard hat box from a shop in Raleigh. Left as it was meant that deterioration would eventually destroy the picture. She amazingly removed the water damaged mat which was stuck to picture and returned the pastel looking incredible. Because of her expertise our family will be able to enjoy this picture for future generations.
Emily Myers: Karen took a very large, very valuable and very damaged acrylic painting given to me by my father and miraculously transformed it with her conservation skills. Over the years, the paint had fused to the plexi-glass (she explained because there was never any barrier between the two) and she painstakingly and conscientiously chipped away to separate the two. Then - using her unparalleled artistry - perfectly matched pigments and textures where the painting needed to be touched up. She is a master of her craft (both conservation and framing). I would absolutely recommend her work and know I'll be returning to her studio for years to come!
