The Cupcake Shoppe Bakery: what do users think?
Mary D'Arco: Best cinnamon bun I've ever eaten. Delicious coffee. I will be recommending this baker for my daughter's wedding.
Frieda Sanders: Great cupcakes and coffee! The cakes are beautiful and they have gluten free and vegan options.
Allo Hall: it's such a beautiful shop. me and my friend got iced chai and it was so good, and cheaper than Starbucks. and a lot better.
Kristi W: We ordered cupcakes for my daughter's birthday from here. All of our guests loved them!
Alisha Walton: Such a great experience from start to finish! The manager worked with my design I had envisioned and turned it into such an amazing cake. Not only was it delicious but it looked so good! Thank y’all so much!
Ashleigh S: We are so thrilled to have worked with y'all for our wedding!!! Our cake was incredible and turned out even better than the reference photos we sent, and Arlen was great to communicate with when we were trying to figure out how many cupcakes would be appropriate to order for our guests. Thanks again, Cupcake Shoppe! Can't wait to order more cakes in the future.
Ashley Rabie: I ordered a funfetti cake with vanilla icing. It was delicious! I guess I am confused why they don't have boxes that fit the cake. They had to"double box" the cake and the top was left exposed and the frosting got messed up (we had to travel 5 hours with the cake). I was disappointed and I am not sure if they just ran out of the boxes, but having a box that fits the product seems as though it would be an essential part of a cake business.
Kimmiechanga: A delicious variety of cupcakes (red velvet here is my fave :) and yummy chai! Don't sleep on their savory treats either - pesto mozzarella crescent is so good!
Rebecca DeGroodt: Custom cake we ordered for my daughter's graduation was darling and delicious too!
Marguerite O'Brien: I ordered a dinosaur themed cake for my 2 and 4 yr old grandsons birthday. I left decorations up to them. When it was delivered I was so thrilled at the creativity on display!! Of course, there were fondant dinos, but also eggs, grass and dirt!! Their names and years were on the side. We were all so impressed at this effort! Lifetime loyal customers!!
jennifer Moran: They made a beautiful and delicious cake for our daughter's 18th birthday. It was a huge it at our party and was gone pretty quickly! I will definitely be going back for more cakes and cupcakes!
Howard & Gaby Wilmer: The Cupcakes here are amazing! Recently ordered 48 cupcakes for my daughter's Birthday party, and it being a small party, the cupcakes went fast! The Staff that works here are super friendly and amazing as well! I highly recommend and will be going back to them again in the future!
Rachel Koehler: I’ve gotten 2 cakes here and both were absolutely outstanding! Both in appearance and taste! They worked with me to make a very special cake for my graduating Girl Scouts which immediately brought me to tears. They are wonderful to work with!
Kristin Thomas: Fun and flavorful cupcakes ! Stopped in here last minute after a medical appointment at Duke. I recommend going but don’t be surprised if you want at least one of everything!
Na Hans: Delicious cakes! Great customer service! Couldn’t recommend them more
wondr: If I could give it 0 stars I would. The red velvet cupcakes are so dry, i couldn’t even swallow it and had to spit it out. It was like trying to chew cement. The cream cheese frosting was the only good part about it.
Ray Rosso: Was on my way out of town after work and decided to stop here for a latte and some sweets. The cupcakes are absolutely amazing and they have a variety of creative flavors. The latte was perfect and just what I needed to power through my 2 hour drive home
Nohemi Ramirez: I could not say better things about the cupcake shoppe! I go here periodically (3 times a week minimum) and have tried almost everything from their cinnamon roll, cookies, flavor of the week, coffee & lattes — everything is SO delicious and the service is fantastic.I love their every day treats so much, I decided to get a red velvet birthday cake and it was a hit at our surprise birthday party! Everyone commented how delicious it was and some friends even took more home for their families :)Arlen was so nice, responsive, and patient with me as I sorted birthday cake details last minute!!
Carlie C: I used the Cupcake Shoppe for my wedding cake and cupcakes and could not have been more pleased! The entire staff was very helpful and a pleasure to work with! The 6" cutting cake was decorated so beautifully and the mini cupcakes were adorable!Thank you so much!
Deja Roberts: The customs cupcakes and smash cake this shop made for my son’s 1st birthday party we’re a huge hit! Everyone loved them so much. We will definitely do business with this shop for all of our future events!
Janet Slay: I ordered 3 dozen mini cupcakes for a graduation celebration and they were amazing! They added graduation caps on the top in NCSU red and we got so many compliments on them. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Edible Art Bakery & Dessert Cafe: what do users think?
Charlotte Collins: I'm a lover of all things sweet and this place understands me.
Erica Monique Vilsaint: Since my wedding day, I have consistently used Edible Art Bakery as my go-to dessert shop for every special occasion. Cakes are moist, dense, decadent, and flavorful! I tend to stick with what I love, so the Almond Amaretto Cake is a staple for my family. When I want to be adventurous, I pick a cupcake to try! You can't go wrong with entrusting them with your special day or milestones throughout the year!
D Lee: I ordered a 4 pack of cupcakes. The were some of the best cupcakes that I have ever had. The lady who helped me was super friendly and helped me select my cupcakes. The serve other bakery items and coffee. I will definitely go back to try other items
crate home living products: This place has beautiful cakes but their customer service is lacking. I ordered four cakes from them for my kids birthdays over a period of a month, I did it all through email so there would be written documentation of pricing and details well in advance. They changed the price on me several times without details to the cakes changing. It seems as if they get a few extra bucks out of people where they can because they know people won’t question a few bucks over it. The first set of cakes in May were around 225 for 3 cakes, and the second cake in June was 200. I paid a deposit of $225 as 50% was due, assuming they would apply half to the June cakes and the rest to the May cakes so I would owe a solid 100 on both at pickup. On pickup of the May cakes, they stated I owed closer to 120, in which I asked if the 125 could be applied so I could only pay 100 and then owe 100 also at the next pickup. They refused to do this. If I’m paying more than half which is what’s required for deposit, I should get the say in where the extra I paid gets applied. Paying this left a balance of 86 dollars for the cake in June. I confirmed that ok, if I pay this much now - that will leave me only owing 86 for the June cake. I had emails with documentation showing what was owed and what was paid. Prior to pickup of the June cake I paid the entire remaining balance online and emailed them letting them know, to make pickup quicker as it was already rushed to pickup in time for the party that afternoon. They emailed back saying that I would still owe 3 dollars. When I asked where the extra $3 came from, they couldn’t give me an answer. Upon pickup, the younger woman was extremely rude about the 3 dollar balance (that I didn’t owe to begin with, emails of total balance would prove that). I didn’t question it and just paid. Also, they messed up my sons smash cakes and wouldn’t own up to it. I asked for different shades of green polka dots and borders to be added. The color scheme was green. After picking up, I realized the borders were white. Which was already strange being that the cake was white, why put borders that can’t even be seen being that they’re the same color of the cake? I went back and checked my email and verified where I asked for green borders, and in the checklist response - she confirmed different shades of green polka dots and borders to match the color theme. I called and pointed this out, in which she denied it stating it doesn’t specify the color - when you can look through the email and see where I specifically asked for green. They didn’t offer to have me come back in and fix them, or to discount off the next cake. Being that I was spending almost 500 on 4 cakes, if they weren’t willing to fix their mistake (or at least own up to it and apologize), they could have added a few bucks for the 200 I was spending the following month on a large cake to feed 40 people. Unless you specify every detail, they’ll also leave everything extremely plain. My sons 8 inch cake was supposed to be a dinosaur theme, and although it did have candied rocks, the entire rest of the cake was completely plain white. Being that it went up $100 dollars for that little bit of decoration, they could have done better. Not overly pleased with this place. I feel like we could have gotten better decorated cakes from Walmart for much cheaper.
Dave S: Best cupcakes and cakes in Raleigh. Been here probably 30 times over the last 5 years and they never disappoint. Amazing and creative flavors. The cinnamon spice cake I ordered for Thanksgiving last year was the best cake I've ever had.
Susan Cowperthwaite: Of course! 5 stars - goodies & staff!
Felicia Clayton: Absolutely delicious. Staff was attentive and professional.
Dr. Antwannette Kozlow: Great cake and cupcakes flavors. They change up the cake and cupcake flavors often.
Nakisha Tompson: I have kept visiting a few times in hopes that my experience would match what some of the 5* reviews rave.Aside from the lovely older woman as the Cafe (the owner, possibly), nothing good has come out of my visits. The flavors sound amazing, but my husband and I have gotten 4 cupcakes on 8 of their BOGO tuesdays within a year's time - the inconsistency in quality and flavor has been the only cobsisten thing here. The cakes are either dense and stale, or undercooked and flat. The frosting is typically also dried out, grainy, and too sweet - which surprises me because I will watch sugar cubes for fun, but not these cupcakes. The new, younger staff is also so rude and a few times I've asked questions, and they seemed annoyed, and I asked about ingredients and pricing, and they say something, I ask again, and they backtrack with no apology and almost accusatory. Real sad experience.
Barbara Hauber: I cannot say enough great things about them, I love the cookies the most the level of art and love they put into everything reflects in the taste. I love surprising people with cookies made for them and anytime I've asked they haven't just delivered but exceeded expectations! Oh, and I must mention they have the best macaroons I've ever had in my life, I almost don't want to tell the world because they sell out fast already, but try it and trust me.
Jared: Amazing, Kind and attentive person took my custom cake order and when received it was very delicious, the chocolate ganache frosting is heavenly.
Kyle Oppenheim: Mindy & Erin worked with me to create a custom Vanilla Cheesecake with Applie Pie filling, and it was absolutely incredible!Their cupcakes are also wonderful (the Carrot Cake in particular was next level)!
Rose Rodz: Double chocolate cupcake…on point👌🏽 perfect balance of chocolate and chocolate (chocolate lovers will understand) . My husband order a coconut cheesecake, he is not very into extra sweet things and he really enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly and nice.
Maggie Shupe: The cupcakes were a little too sweet and dry but service was good
John Ward: For a work celebration, to retire an old application system, I specialty ordered a cake to mimic the look of the application. It was a big hit at work and exactly what I was looking for. The almond amaretto flavor was fabulous.
Amber Redmond: Definitely a horrible experience here . Paid 100$ for a cake that looks nothing like Hello Kitty . The colors were wrong and were asked if we wanted to wait for the cake to be redone on the same day as her birthday ? No we had plans and arrangements already set . Today When my wife called up there they definitely talked all over her . Wouldn’t give a refund or anything . I could have gotten that cake did at Walmart for that . So I don’t recommend this place after the last interactions
Michelle Maddage: Great desert! Husband and I went to to dinner then walked to Edible Art for desert. It was close to closing time- but the staff was friendly and happy to assist. I got an Almond Amaretto cupcake. Husband had bananas foster cupcake. Both were moist and dense. Great flavor. Will be back!I’m not a frosting person, but this wasn’t too sweet and I did eat some.If you get the chance, go.
Ruthanne Baird: Felt rushed with my kids to pick their cupcakes to the point as my kids were deciding the service person would go to grab what they said before they decided multiple times. Also the cookie pies were cold and almost inedible, should have been warmed up. Tiny cup of iced coffee with only little creamer cups. Not impressed.
Martin Brossman: Cookies, cakes, macaroons, cupcakes, cheesecake, and more. A very large selection of cupcakes and they have one that’s gluten-free but it has sugar. They also use Larry beans as the coffee. Great service.
Ebony: We were looking for scratch made cake with flavor (emphasis on flavor not just pretty) for our wedding day. After coming in and trying cupcakes with varying flavors and combinations we knew picking Edible Art for our wedding day was a must! Planning was seamless, the cake was beautiful AND delicious. No need to keep a layer frozen for a year as we get a mini cake made on our first anniversary. Thank you all for delivering the cake of our dreams. Definitely gained new customers. We will continue to use for future life moments and everything in between.
Nkem Okorie: The Cake was 500.00 and looked horrible compared to what the displayed cakes in the store looked like. No suggested cake tasting was offered. We were told to come back for a cake tasting when we spoke to them on the phone. We came back just to be told they didn't have the Cake. The staff was cold and unfriendly as though we didn't belong... I'll NEVER suggest this location to anyone, let alone go there.

Gigi's Cupcakes: what do users think?
Liz Darnell: So happy to be near a Gigi’s now!! Found this place beside a hotel my daughter & I stayed in while in Savannah years ago and was hooked!! Both the cupcake and the frosting is amazing!! Years back the frosting was sky high…
nicholbyrd: I wanted to like these, unfortunately, that is not the case. Purchased 2 cupcakes, Nilla Amore and Lemon Champagne. They were dry and stale to put it nicely. The cupcakes were bland, having no flavor, the only thing that tasted even remotely like lemon was the oreo mini lemon cookie on top of the Lemon cupcake. I tried eating eat, waiting on at least a hint of flavor, nope nothing. Don't even get me started on the other cupcake. A waste of money. I'm so disappointed, apparently the original recipe and owner must have changed. I called and was told the owner's name is Madhu. I asked to speak to her about a refund and was told to leave my number and that, " the owner will call me when she's ready?" The original Gigi's was pure quality. Save yourself some time, energy, and money, buy from anywhere but this establishment, under new ownership, has ruined a good thing. I will not be back, but for customers in the future, I can only hope they go back to the original Gigi's way, of fresh quality cupcakes, otherwise I don't see how they will remain a liable business.
George Galachiuk: The BEST chocolate and butter cream cupcakes that I have ever had
Laura Santucci: We chose Gigi’s for our wedding and could not have been happier! We chose the top 4 flavors(Wedding Cake, Midnight Magic, Red Velvet, and Strawberry Shortcake) for our wedding guests. We did not make any customizations to the decorating of the cupcakes, but if we wanted them to be similarly themed, Gigi’s could do that. We also ordered a 8 inch round Red Velvet cake for us to cut at the reception. We asked for a simple and classic corkscrew icing and we got it! I didn’t get to try all the cupcakes(we had ordered extra) but I did hear one guest say they liked the cupcakes better than the reception venue’s provided chocolate cake. I’ve liked Gigi’s cupcakes for a long time and was glad I used them in our wedding. They had everything boxed and ready for us the day before and also froze the cake, so it would stay cold since I mentioned it might have to sit in out garage overnight before the wedding. The manager Madhu is lovely and very helpful! She was very professional and kept us in the loop during our whole experience. Will continue to get cupcakes from here for family events or just when I need a delicious treat!
La Muffina: I love Gigis!!!!!!
Jennifer Torres: This is definitely not the Gigi’s of the past. When I walked in I saw a handwritten sign promoting macarons, a handwritten disclaimer sign about the cupcakes condition once the leave the store (fair policy though), and a few chocolate roses like you get at Walmart or a gas station. Of course they had cupcakes, but these are not what you used to get from Gigi’s. The cupcakes were smaller than the original cupcakes, and had very little buttercream icing. The texture of the buttercream was grainy. My two cupcakes were put into a plain clamshell plastic package that was a little too short for the small amount of buttercream. I was quite disappointed and will not return.
Kristin Thomas: Maybe it was an off day…. I absolutely love specialty cupcake shops but this one was definitely lacking unfortunately. The selection wasn’t great and there was only one person working the counter and she seemed like she didn’t want to be there and was very slow! I live over an hour away and went to get something for my dad’s birthday and was pretty disappointed overall. However the cupcakes and macarons tasted really good . There wasn’t anything that kind of made them special though as far as the flavor selection (that day).
K B: I lived in Raleigh for years and people always loved Gigi's. They were always overrated to me. Cupcake is choke you to death dry but, the icing is ok. Made a visit to Raleigh and wanted something sweet, it's the same expensive dry @$$ cupcakes. I'm not sure how they have managed to stay in business this long. There is no way their customers have actual taste buds. Save your money and eat air.
Tamatha Ward: I'm not sure if under new management or what but there is a very noticeable difference in these once delightful cupcakes. I took my Mom here 2/3 for her birthday and the reception was not welcoming at all. My cupcake was dry but edible..my mom however refused to eat her birthday cupcake stating she had no desire after experiencing the negative vibe. She wouldn't even give to grandkids to eat but threw it away 😪. I should have gone with my first instinct to just leave and not make a purchase rest assured I will not return. I don't mind high prices for things I want but I do mind a high price for non customer friendly associates. Very disappointed
Lakshmi Tej: Great flavor and Freshness....anytime I have cupcakes here never I had bad experience.
Niya Burnette: The worker was super nice but the cupcakes were extremely overpriced for the quality and quantity. The icing was hard and the cupcakes were dry and they all kind of taste the same in way.
Jessica Delgado: First time coming in and the wonderful lady at the front was super nice and welcoming! I got the red velvet and my 2 kiddos got the strawberry shortcake and chocolate, they loved it!!! I loved my red velvet, the cupcake is moist and soft, but the best part is the icing!! We were kind of bummed at first that they don't have whipped icing and when we bit into our cupcakes we expected the icing to be hard- but to our surprise it was soft and creamy! Super delicious 10/10, yes they are pricy, but they are delicious and have a nice presentation and size.
Malena Waters: I came into the Brier Creek location today and the customer service was absolutely wonderful! I nanny for 3 kids and I had to get cupcakes and macarons for their class tomorrow. I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome, the woman helped me with any allergy accommodations by packing the cupcakes and macarons in separate containers AND bags, while also putting stickers on the items that contained nuts. I also purchased some cupcakes for myself and they were AMAZING! I will be coming back soon!
Muniba Khan: The cupcakes were pretty good but I'd say they were a bit overpriced. We got the lemon, cookies and cream, and red velvet. The second two were really great and I would totally recommend!
Marie Loe: Terrible selection of gluten free. Got a few cupcakes here and they tasted like they had been out for a week or so.
Stan L: Tastes amazing and super fresh but a little expensive.
jacob shuford: Cupcake were dreamy. The apple pie one was my fav
Deidra Fuller: Just got to your local grocery store! These cupcakes are not worth the amount of money they charge. Store bought taste better in my opinion. My first time here today, and it was a huge disappointment. I couldn't even finish my cupcakes. Money went in the trash, literally.
Grant Crowe: Got for a birthday party for the last time. Used to be worth the premium $ but they cut the icing in half and it doesn't taste the same. Won't be back
Kevin Carpio: So these cupcakes are popular in the Midwest and I can verify this location doesn’t make them correctly. They are known for the double or triple layer of icing and it’s sad how sorry the cupcakes look with so little icing. It defeats the purpose of buying them as opposed to store bought. You’re better off going to Sam’s Club or Costco!
Dayna Wesley: I’m not from North Carolina I was visiting from Los Angeles California. My partner wanted to go and get some cupcakes and I said sure. The shop was very cute though the atmosphere wasn’t too inviting. We picked out four cupcakes and they were pretty good. There was a nice variety available. The icing was perfect. The cupcakes were a little dry but was okay. He ate both of his so it’s safe to say that he enjoyed them. He actually wanted the birthday surprise but the lady who checked us out gave him cotton candy by accident. After reading the reviews I wonder what were the cupcakes like before? Needless to say I wouldn’t mind coming back.
