Sullivan's Steakhouse: what do users think?
Kelly Hines: We love this place! It is perfect for a special occasion! My filet was so tender and cooked perfectly! The brussel sprouts and au gratin potatoes were perfect sides to enhance our steaks! We will go back again! 💗Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Jeremy “Japarican” Cummins: Honestly. This was the most disappointing trip to any steakhouse I've ever been to. I ordered a Medium Porterhouse and it came out well done the first time still mooing at me the second time barely even seared and it was barely a decent medium by the time it came out for the 3rd time. Our Lobster Mac and Cheese looked like it was microwaved and put under a heat lamp for the entirety of the rest of the food being prepared. Didnt even get to try the asparagus that I ordered because they gave it to the wrong person. All the food looked good, but the flavor and textures were just off. The Beef Wellington Bites were good and the, what i think, was the Spicy Shrimp Eggrolls we got were good. But took basically 45 minutes to even get our food, so i waited well over an hour for my finally edible steak. Needless to say 9/10 we will NOT be back. Oh and it took another like 30 minutes for us to even get our checks after asking. What should have been a 1.5 hour dinner took us almost 3 hours and it was not fun.
GG R: UNDERWHELMEDI'm questioning ALL the 5 star reviews and what people find exceptional about this particular location. Sullivans in Chicago is much more upscale w impeccable service. This location was a huge let down not only from a service level you'd expect at a place like this but also in the food presentation. Our waitress was nice, friendly and accommodating but def not the level of service I would anticipate or expect from a restaurant of this caliber. For context: We came here for a GNO celebrating 2 bdays, group of 4. First and foremost I’d say the 1st 10 mins after being seated and how you are treated is going to determine how great or not so great your service will be. 1st, after what seemed like a good 30 mins our waitress finally came to the table. WE had to ask for the wine list. This should be given at the time you are seated esp since you have to wait forever just to place your order. I’d say it took a good hour just to get a drink, we ordered WINE?! After a good 2.5 hours or more of waiting, we finally got our food. While the food was delicious the presentation was dismal and off putting. Not even appetizing to look at, at all. The “Happy Birthday” cheesecake plate was beautiful and a nice surprise; however, I got it to go bcuz my meal came w a dessert. The way they boxed it go was again a complete fail. Took our waitress after several discussions and going back and forth to get our bills correct. That was at least a good 20-30 min issue that I couldn’t understand. Overall while a few things were ok, I will def not be coming back to this location. IMO they need to drastically level up their service and presentation. You can tell there is absolutely NO pride here in the kitchen or from a service level at all.
Keri Warner: My first experience at Sullivan's. We had heard the hype about how good the food was, and since my daughter is a steak lover, we decided that this would be perfect place for her 16th birthday dinner. We hired a limo and went all out. My first mistake was not realizing that even on a Sunday evening the bar next door would have their music pumping so loud that we literally could not have a conversation at our table. On top of the obnoxiously loud thumping noises, our service was terrible. Having been in the service industry for many years myself, I know what is hard and what is not hard work. This was a Sunday evening and this place was by no means busy but our server was apparently having issues and could not attend to our table as necessary. I hate to dis such a well spoken of establishment, but I can honestly say I won't go back and I will not recommend this place to anyone. There are far better places to enjoy my time and money at.

AngB: I've been to Sullivan's many times and it was amazing but we recently met some friends there and unfortunately, it was not good across the whole table. Steak returned 2xs because it was not cooked properly, side dish was extremely salty, salmon thin, cold, dry and tiny portion. Even the second time they brought it out, same problem and had tail portion again. I thought that was odd. Do they only have tail pieces of salmon? The lamb was tiny portions and dried out. We all were totally stunned as we had such good meals prior. For the price I paid, I expected way mote. Not the Sullivan's I know anymore!
Joshua Nelson: We are not a rich family, so going to Sullivans was supposed to be an extremely nice treat for two of my kid's birthdays. It did not go how we had hoped. My wife, kids and I dined in for dinner and sat down around 4:45pm. There was only one other table (two people) in the entire large dining room when we arrived. It took 2 hours from the time we arrived, until my children received their dessert and we were able to leave. What could possibly take that long with almost no other customers? Our entrées arrived in stages, instead of all at once. The waiter was professional, but there was a couple of inconsistencies. He claimed our children's meals did not come with drinks, but said he would give them some for free. He also stated their meals did not come with dessert, but since we were celebrating a birthday he would get them some dessert on the house as well. When I double checked the kid's menu, it stated that all kid's meals come with a drink and ice cream. So we were being given something for free that was suppossed to be part of their meal? My wife ordered the dry aged, bone-in ribeye. She ordered medium rare and the middle was cooked correctly, but the outer ring was closer to well done. Side note: I understand it is called the "Long Bone" Ribeye, but it was advertised as 28oz and when it arrived, the bone was so big it accounted for maybe half the advertised weight. That is a $95 steak! (Again, very rare dining experience for us) My sea scallops were barely warm on arrival and had to be sent back. The lobster in the mashed potatoes was VERY overcooked. All things considered, we did not get anywhere close to the $269 price tag we paid. This was an unfortunate experience.

Tom Reichmeider: I wish the management would pay their kitchen staff fairly by transparently pricing their food appropriately to compensate their employees. Instead they tack on a 3% “kitchen fee” that is mentioned in fine print, and your expected to tip on top of that 3% as well. I’d gladly pay what the food should cost. Just don’t like being tricked into paying more with hidden fees.

Sakura Howell: We tried Wye Hill after reading the online reviews. Food was disappointing. My husband had the fried catfish sandwich which was mostly bun and a fried piece of batter with a couple of overcooked bites of fish inside. I had the kale Caesar salad with salmon. The salmon was not fresh and the kale was raw and dry. Typically kale is “massaged” with olive oil to soften it so it is palatable but this was not the case. The salmon was also over cooked. The service was good until the server asked us how everything was and when my husband showed her the uneaten batter sandwich she said “I’m sorry about that. Do you want a box”. We politely said “no thank you” versus asking why would we want to take it home.I gave two stars versus 1 because I did enjoy the sangria and my husband liked his beer. I would not recommend nor go back.
Grason Clark: Abby was an outstanding server! A group of 5 of my friends and I came over pride weekend and everything about this place was amazing. Their drinks, entrees, appetizers, vibes, and service were immaculate. The kitchen staff was very accommodating when my burger came out cooked less than expected and remade it for me, I was very appreciative! definitely recommend to anyone visiting or local to Raleigh!

PaNDA Housing: Great atmosphere, service and Beer. The food, while fresh, is only so-so and on the bland side. Salmon was seasoned well, but not marinated. The shrimp and grits, i’ve had better at diners. The chicken, just meh. That could all be forgiven, if not for their price. Drinks and a view, yes. Food, no.Food: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jason Alexander: Deceptive pricing and bad service. This place does every trick in the book to make sure their pricing is as non-transparent as possible. They do not list prices for beers on the menu, rather put a range of prices at the top that all their beers can be, they add a 3% 'kitchen fee' instead of just raising their prices and paying their workers better, and they use the screen pre-calculated tipping option to try and get you to tip more than you normally would compounding on that 3% you were already charged. Our waitress Casey (or cate, can't recall) would only stand at the end of our 10 party table to get the orders, make us yell across the entire table instead of walking around it. She also yelled at me when I asked what the 'kitchen fee' was telling/shaming me "IT IS SO OUR KITCHEN STAFF IS PAID FAIRY SIR". It was just an innocent question, and I'd gladly pay much more than 3% of the listed food costs if it was just included in prices instead of tacking it on at the end to trick people into paying more.Food was good, but the overall experience leaves you feeling like you're being sold a used car by a sleazy guy rather than a pleasant dining experience.
MJ Worldwide: Update | Visited with my family and dog for brunch. There was a bowl waiting for her and Shane was amazing! We really enjoyed our meal. Everything was delicious and fresh. Dog families are welcome here. Thank you.Really caters to beer drinkers and connoisseurs. Food was good, views were amazing. Good for work lunch or for a beer. I’d visit again for work events.Parking: Small walk up a hill from the paid parking.

Sharon Mcguire: Tried to go to this restaurant while visiting Raleigh. We walked up and to hostesses were rude and told us the restaurant and bar were full. We could get a table in 45 mins. We could see that many tables were empty and no one was at the bar. We asked if we could get a drink while we waited. They said no. All full. Ok. Maybe they didn't have enough wait help, but be honest. Don't say all full when we can see seats at bar, seats along the patio and many empty tables.
kerry beach: As always, the beer and cocktails were great. Staff were attentive and friendly. We ordered from the Triangle Restaurant Week menu and the food was less impressive. Two appetizers, tuna bites and goat cheese with honey, were delicious. The mushroom entree had an overpowering smokey taste, and the prime rib was overdone. The desserts, beet cheesecake and peach upside down cake, we’re just marginal. All this said, you can’t beat Wye Hill for plain old burgers and beer!

Deborah Credle: On June 29, 2023, my family and I dined at the Capital Grille on Six Forks RD in Raleigh North Carolina. Chef Matt set the bar pretty high for any future dine-ins. I have never found anyone to make my food to my expectations. I am on a strict diet which consists of no meat, starch, dairy or sugar. Chef Matt nailed it with perfection. The best i EVER had. To top it off I had a Last Holiday experience. Which starred Queen Latifa. Chef Matt came out to greet me. He wanted to make sure my food was to my liking. Little did he know, he had superseded my expectations .I recommend the pan seared sea bass with shiitake mushrooms and asparagus.Thank you Chef Matt. You rock!
Samantha: We went to dinner last night for a “make up birthday dinner” since the other restaurant we tried for my birthday was awful. We had Maxx as our server and told him about what happened at the other restaurant and I swear he went ABOVE AND BEYOND! Maxx was the best server I think I literally have ever had anywhere! He was so personal and made sure our steaks were perfect. He Was amazing at recommending things to go along with our meals! The food was PERFECT! The desserts AMAZING! M E: The service there is amazing; probably the best I’ve received in a restaurant but the food not much. Steaks aren’t cooked as desired by the customer. If restaurants like these are going to sell high priced steaks, they should definitely cook the steaks like the customers want it cooked. The sides are very delicious though. Overall, would I go back? Chances are pretty low.

jillian harvell: I usually always have a good experience here, but yesterday really has me questioning if I’d want to come back here. We had a reservation for 4, got sat around 4:10, didn’t see our waitress until 4:30. There were two other tables sat after us that received drinks and even the start of their meal before we even saw our waitress. No apologies were given for the wait, ordered everything all at once when she came. Finally got drinks about ten minutes later, wasn’t until around 5 when we actually got the first course. She brought everything out already premixed which was odd, every other time I’ve been they mix it all in front of you explaining what’s all in it and make a show out of it. For what you pay here between the slow service, not even getting the full usual experience, and just the lack of enthusiasm or energy from our waitress, it really was not worth it the time. On top of that, the entire time we listened to employees yell, laugh and talk from the back with total disregard to people trying to enjoy their dinner. One of the other waiters did check in on us during our meal, asking if there were any extras we needed which we were grateful for because our waitress didn’t really check in after dropping our premixed stuff off. Our drinks were empty for 10+ minutes at a time, and we were sitting a long time in between courses waiting. Usually the staff is super attentive and friendly and put on a good show, but yesterday was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had there. Disappointed and feel like I overpayed for an experience that wasn’t good at all.
Thelma Borbas: Our server, Flower, was amazing! Guided us through everything and full of funny stories and anecdotes. We chose the Pacific rim and the steak platter as our entrees. Yummy! So much food, but just a bit at a time. First course was cheese. We chose Quattro Formaggio. So delish! They brought bread, veggies and apples to dip in the cheese. Next course was salad. They allow enough time between courses that you're not rushed. We were there for about 3 hours. The entree course was next. You cook your own food! 😮 Steak platter had three different types of steak, while the Pacific rim had tuna, duck breast, shrimp, steak, and pot stickers. They also brought veggies with it. They do allow you to take leftovers home but you have to cook them before you leave. Finally, dessert! We chose bananas foster, which were flambeed right there. So cool! It tasted like a cinnamon roll. When we go back, we will definitely have to try chocolate!! They brought rice krispies, Oreo covered marshmallows, brownies, Blondies, angel food cake, bananas & strawberries to dip. Amazing meal!!!

Asylum Darkness: Just such a great experience! My gf and I came here with our friends and it was like no other. My gf and I shared the Bigger Night Out For Two, and it was all just so delicious. The teriyaki steak was out of this world. And the chocolate fondue, amazing. The presentation of the Yin Yang is so cool, the Flaming Turtle and the Banana one were out of this world. On top of that, our server Flower (I hope I'm not misspelling it!) Gave us the best service I think I've ever had anywhere. She was so bubbly and conversive with us, we never needed anything she was always on top of it, overall improved our experience ten-fold. I recommend this to anyone and everyone, even though it's a little expensive (our bill for my gf, myself and the two kids) came out to roughly $260 with tip and all, but I promise it was worth every penny!

Luisa Medina: The whole concept of this place is really neat. However, there’s definitely room for improvement. First off way overpriced. We spent almost $180 for just two people (including the tío for the waiter). This restaurant is not fancy, therefore shouldn’t have those “fancy” prices”. People were literally showing up in sweatpants… Second, the bread was not fresh. It was hard and gross. Plus, the vegetables were definitely still cold and still defrosting. I do love the dessert part if the dinner. However, the brownies and cookies were definitely not fresh. Overall, the quality of the food does not fit the price.
andriablaze: Surprised by the many vegan options (both cheese and chocolate) and so good!
Nathan Rice: Took my wife here for her birthday. The ambience is nothing special. Drinks were sub par. Food was alright, but there was no salt on the table and the meats were unseasoned. Service was alright, until we ended up waiting for our checks for 30 minutes at the end. There was nothing special about this place and it certainly was not worth $130 for us both.
G M Fite: My wife loves to visit The Melting Pot for her birthday. This year was no exception. We had a party of 4 each couple's bill exceeded $150.00. We all concluded that the service was terrible, the filet mignon was tough & chewy (certainly not filet). The cheese fondue included 2 small pieces of cauliflower, a handle full of baby carrots, along with bread there was celery....[what a cheap excuse] I mean really!? How many times a week does 1 sit and think "boy! Sure could go for dipping some celery into some hot cheese."We came to the conclusion; the price verses quality, service & atmosphere nowhere near add up to an enjoyable evening therefore we will no longer be dining at The Melting Pot & that's unfortunate.
Connie Rhodes Rummel: We chose to celebrate Mother’s Day Saturday night and made a reservation two months in advance at the Durham, NC location. Apparently it doesn’t matter if you make a reservation as we still had to wait 50mins for our table to be ready. (Reservation at 6:45pm, finally sat down at 7:35pm) many other reservations had similar experiences as ours, so obviously management has no idea how to schedule staffing and reservations. While our server was an absolute Angel, the overall service left much to be desired. We had to ask for silverware and napkins multiple times, having to use the fondue forks for the cheese course only receiving forks and napkins with our salads, only after someone delivered our entree asking if everything ok with our salads.Overall service was slow, understanding the experience (this was not our first time at melting pot) what is typically a 2hr dinner, turned into a 4hr dinner, with us leaving the restaurant at 10:45pm.I sincerely hope the Raleigh location has better service, as the Durham location needs a closer look at capacity and service times.
Karen Rooks: It was very pleasurable, but we got check at the start of the dessert fondue. Never checked on our refills.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Dark Chocolate Fondue …More
tyrral quinn: There were flies everywhere. The place smelled like old mop water. I don’t have any problem with the service. Seemed to be short staffed. Tipped well.
Jeff Struggles: I decided to come here for my birthday 5/4 and for this being my first time I didn’t know what to expect but I was on Positive Vibes soon as I pulled in the parking lot. Walked in excited and was greeted right away, my guest and I got a drink from the bar while they was getting our table ready. Then we sat down and we met KEARSTIN R. And she made my/our experience INCREDIBLE. Her energy was great answered our questions, very informative and easy to talk to. Personally I don’t know how to cook but it was so fun for me feeling like a big time chef lol. Dessert was my favorite part, Flaming turtle is what we ordered and it was perfect. Awesome experience and we will be back.
Tyler Rickert: Had an awesome experience! Dee was awesome!

Vivace: what do users think?
Ricardo Lopez: The service was ok. The drinks were not that great (wayyyy too much mint in the Mojito). The gnocchi was one of the worst things i have ever eaten. Was mostly tasteless and dry except for the hint of dirt. I should have sent it back but I am pretty sure thats the taste they were going for. The ravioli was mediocre. I have this same experience every time I go there, i just convince myself it will be different and it never is. So 5 stars for consistency i guess. There are 100 better places to go in raleigh . My fault for not picking one of them.
Caren Enloe: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
JoAnn Ruth: Bread cold, butter ice cold, water glasses smelled nasty. Scallops barely warm and not quite done, gnocchi was hard and barely warm, spaghetti with marinara tasted like straight out of a can. This meal was a waste of $120 (this included generous tip for the waitress bc none of this was her fault). What happened to this restaurant? Was here a year ago and it was excellent. Will not return

Carsten Mølsmark: Vidunderlig mad og god service.Pizzaerne er ikke helt så smagfulde som forventet men kvaliteten i øvrigt var fin
Todd Ramsey: Friendly, good food, and great location in North Hills.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
jason lintner: Service excellent 👌. very clean and relaxed atmosphere.the male waiter made my daughter a cold coffee drink for her that they didn't even offer ,which made her day.everyones orders were super.i had the ceaser salad 🥗 with the cheese ravioli and was outstanding.great place, great food will most definitely 😁 be back next time when in the area💯🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Pax Odland: Food was decent, quite bland but portions were large, steak was cut not fully through so it wasn’t great quality. Friend asked for no butter on steak and was served with a large clump on top and melted on bottom. Wasn’t cooked to my ask. He asked for medium rare and it ended up being almost well done. Place looks real nice but food doesn’t match the quality of anything else.
Adrian: Nice location, good food and drinksFood: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Joshua Roberts: Perfect nothing else to sayStaff was amazingDinner was “chef’s kiss”
Aleigha Langtange: I’ve never had a bad meal. Their crispy brussel sprouts are a MUST, and if you’re a drinker - the espresso martini is the best in Raleigh.Recommended dishes Bolognese, Bruschetta …More

Emily Rabin: The pork chop was cooked to perfection. Two in our party split a pork chop and salad and they split the salad into two plates. Great food and wonderful service
Sarah Meinheit: I think I died and went to heaven… The short rib sandwich at Vivace is incredible!
