Ogburn Gun Repair, Inc.: what do users think?
Jay Dale: This gunsmith does top-notch work. It isn't the fastest, it isn't the cheapest, but it is some of the best work I've ever received, from repairs to alterations.
Jason Cataldo: Very nice older gentleman. did great work for me. He takes time and quality takes time. Alot of reviewers seem to think its snappy immediate mcdonalds service stuff. its not. he's a gunsmith.
Bazinga Effect: Hours they are open is wrong they are only open on Wednesday thru Friday and only from 10 to 4 and they close early most of the time
Michael Welsch: He doesn't return phone calls. I called and asked if he does and can work on my type of weapon. The intermediary was a young woman working the front desk. Yes he did said the woman. I'm handicapped and rarely drive. After about 2 week's I finally got a ride to and from TSA. I purchased this piece on the internet and it was built with a kit. He tells me he doesn't want to touch it. In the past he's held up transfers for some obscure BATF requirements that I've never heard of. On top of it all he's kind of grumpy and rude.
Andrew: Terrible doesn’t return calls
Dave Marnalse: He never returns calls! Sad but true!
Chris Reid: Ogburn has decades of experience gunsmithing and has always given great advice and super service,
Martin Brossman: I’ve known them for years and they’ve done great work for me. We’re real honest. Heads up they are extremely busy so don’t try to reach them on the phone just show up and they’ll give you an estimate about how long it will take. They are inside triangle shooting Academy, the furthest distance from the front door.
Alan: Very professional and extremely fast turn around with repairs.
drdwightcochran: There is no better gunsmith with multiple skills than Kap. Long guns, handguns, design and modification...I’ve carried and served for over 35 years as LEO and instructor. You stumpedassured
JoshMule: Needed a barrel dimpled. They said it would be $175 and take 4 to 6 weeks. Hilarious in a very sad way. I've heard their work is good, but they are so backed up and charging such prices that they really don't want or deserve your business.
Jeff House: Have had Cap work on several of my guns...sights, repair and performance. Always well done. Would recommend!
Josey Wales: Fyi, Mr. Ogburn is the gunsmith-in-residence at Triangle Shooting Academy. I only mention this because it's not obvious at first glance.Anyway, I was very impressed with the service and quality of work. I had him replace the sights on my 1911 and was extremely pleased with the results. I brought him a pistol that showed it's age and what I got back was literally better than new.Yes, it took time but that's to be expected; a gunsmith without a backlog merits a degree of circumspection.
John Peterson: You will not find a more knowledgeable or experienced gunsmith around. He has a lot of work lined up because his skills are in high demand. If you expect to drop in on him, drop off your firearm and get amazing results the next day, this is not the place for you. Take the time to sit down and speak with him about what you want and be understanding and realistic about the timeline. I have done business with him a few times over the years and have been 100% satisfied on each occasion.
Charlie Sierra: The man is polite when you speak with him but will not give you an accurate timeframe in which your weapon Will be repaired/altered. the business as a whole lacks professionalism. I would recommend the shop for repair on low-end Nerf guns but never with my AR or sidearm. Try to avoid going here for repair.
Nick V: Ill start with the good hes a nice guy. Now the rest. I sent my knights rail to be installed by him a few days go by no phone that he recieved it. Finally after a week i get a hold of him he recieved it and he would accomplish said task. I gave it a week or so to call him back and unable to reach him due to personal reason i later found out. Gave him the benefit of doubt and another week he assured me it would be done. After another week goes by i was in Raleigh for the day and decided ill just pick it up. Call 3 times no answer i get there to here "oh you should have called." He said he has my part and it is just sitting in his shop it would be ready monday. Well its monday and ill call just as promised. He decided after all these weeks hes not going to do it because it is a 14.5 inch barrel and that would be illegal according to him. There is nothing illegal about this. If i have a tax stamp for it to be an sbr, a pistol lower, or bring it to 16 inches with a muzzle device all legal avenues. He refuses blaming the BATF for hassling him in the past. All in all 4 weeks and some change went by just to hear this. I never recieved a phone from him once. He is overwhelmed and does not know the law. Dont waste your time on this guy.
Earle Pope: I've had Mr. Ogburn work on several of my firearms and must say this man knows his business. I will admit, at times he is very difficult to contact, but if you want your firearm worked on by a professional, this is the person to work with. In my experience quality of this sort is something that you don't come across often nowadays. Specifically,1. His prices are reasonable.2. His quality of work is exceptional, even going so far as to replace the firing pin spring on a 1911 that I had the slide blued and cleaned. This work was above and beyond what I requested and was tremendously appreciated.3. He is personable and interested in the work you wish to have done, unlike many larger stores.4. His expertise on a multitude of firearms, from military, to historic, to hunting, is rare I feel nowadays. This being said, there are some aspects that could be improved.1. Timeliness; Specifically, his turn around time is slow unless you pay to front load. This is understandable as her has a LOT of firearms he is working on. That and he takes his time to get the work done right the first time.2. Accessibility; Given his hours it is sometimes hard to catch him when convenient for the customer. Also, he is not always accessible by phone. All things considered however, these issues pale in comparison to my immense satisfaction with his work. If you would like your firearms back quickly, with a so so job, then go to a big box store. If you are passionate about firearms and want yours taken care of right the first time, then this is your man.

King Precision LLC: what do users think?
Dave Bamford: Great service on several 1911s (Colt and Kimber).
George Lewter: This Guy knows what he is talking about in his CC classes he takes his time to explain things if you have trouble with understanding something. His Gunsmithing skills are top notch. Thanks Ron. Ron, you learned your AR-15 Skills from Mark Hunt he is the one who wrote the Book on the M-16/AR-15. With that being said, when are you going to start giving the AR class since Mr. Hunt is retired. I AM WAITING....
Skyler Harman: I went through the Concealed Carry handgun training class with a friend and had great experience. The class size was small enough to provide one on one attention and large enough for positive interactions. The hands on experience and personal knowledge given by Ron King really made the class enjoyable. The knowledge he carries from Gunsmithing and personal instruction really left you confident afterwards. I am recommending King Precision to my family to use as I would to anyone looking at the reviews.
Shane Winokur: I had a great experience at CCW class. Ron was very knowledgeable and taught the class in a way that made everyone feel welcome.I feel that Ron covered what we needed to know plus, gave us a little extra knowledge throughout the class. He always had time to answer anybody’s question at anytime.Ron did demand excellence, but in that type of class I would not expect anything less. He wanted to make sure that you new everything before you received your certificate.
Mark Rose: My son, brother and I took our class with Ron almost two years ago. Since then he has done multiple trigger jobs for us and has been a very informative friend. He is very ez to work with and I would recommend King Precision for anyone wanting to take their CCW or looking to fix/modify their firearm.
Tank Stewart: Sent my security team to the ccw class and I was very impressed with the knowledge they retained. Highly recommended.
Skipper: He is awesome. He called me back even when he had a major non-work related issue, and I was able to confirm my shipment of a firearm I ordered. Great service, can't rank this business highly enough.
Lisa Stunzi: Took a class with him over the weekend and he was very knowledgeable and great at answering questions and making sure we left the class as prepared as we should be. He even took time after the class (which was already the majority of the day) to answer questions. Highly recommend.
Dale Stunzi: Took the concealed carry class and was very pleased with the class. A lot of good information and Mr. King did a great job teaching the class.

Personal Defense & Handgun Safety Center Inc.: what do users think?
Ray Bostancioglu: Everything overpriced, customer service is a joke it seems as if they don’t want your business !
Kanye Bagley: Staff are rude prices are over high I would not recommend spending your money there at all
Joe Gambino: This place and staff are a joke, don’t waste your time or money. Plenty of other stores and ranges around that respect their customers with way better prices than this clown factory.
Sal: I was a new customer. I went a couple of times to shoot. I've always been a fan of revolvers. Yesterday I wanted to buy my first semi-automatic. I wanted to rent one from them first to understand how to use it. The older gentleman rudely answered me no, and with the younger man they started making fun of me. They said things like: "today we don't want your money," and, "take it easy with that revolver". It was extremely disrespecful. I was mortified. The only person who was kind was a young lady. I won't be back. I'm going to spend my money with someone else who respects and appreciates their customers.
Earl J Manley Jr: Prices are crazy high no help an the show room was not organized an when someone came in an asked for help with getting a ccw the guy was very rude an told the guy to just pay him $110 an come back next mouth an take the class
JD Roberts: Wonderful place. Great selection of guns and ammunition. Knowledgeable staff to assist all levels of shooters.
Pat C: The pricing here is out of control. The cost of ammo is 2x what I can get it for online or at other stores. Anyone who buys ammo here is clueless and getting ripped off. There's no need to profit that much on ammo when you have range services, firearms sales, and accessories, etc. Up-charging basic common ammo is like drink restricted places up-charging for water bottles. Ridiculous.
Tom DeVane: Cant shoot rifles there and the reasoning was dumb. Theyre afraid the shockwaves will break the plexiglass windows 15 feet behind the lanes. Also the staff isnt the brightest. Only 2 stars for decent price on a scar 17 i bought
herbert almengor: I have been a customer of PDHSC since 2015 and all their staff is absolutely fantastic and friendly and they go the extra mile every time. Love them over there please visit them and give them your business.
Rob Messer: The guys at the shop went above and Beyond to help me get my handgun back after accidentally leaving it in a hotel room during a recent stay in Raleigh. I called and explained what happened and within hours they had my handgun and had it back to my local dealer fast. I highly recommend Personal Defense & Handgun Safety as they are still one of the few that go out of there way to help the 2A community and my deepest gratitude goes out to them.
April Jackson: I was welcomed and had all my questions answered.
dj reddick: Customer service was off they act as if they didn’t want to sale gun even though everything on my end was straight vibe was ignorant but gun shoots good
Tyrell WestBrooke: The staff there were predatory selling inventory without answering any questions from customers. 1 gentleman who came in with his lady friend got made fun of for using steel cased ammo. Very unprofessional and rude
Mark Holloway: sold me a junk ruger lcp lite rack
Tiffany Bauza: Went earlier this afternoon to purchase my first handgun and the process was simple and easy I was there no longer then 10-15 minutes and the guy at the front counter was super cool so I came back later on that afternoon to purchase another handgun from him. I will be coming back again! Thank you guys
Jay Huh: First time at a range and I’m clearly new. Brought my AR and 2 glocks. Very helpful in explaining the rules. Can’t shoot the AR there unless you’re a member but shot my glock and it was great.
David Johnston: By far the worst service in the triangle
Will Brimley: Great staff. Awesome place to test out my new toys
Christopher Gilliam: Been shopping here since I was old enough to buy long guns (18) and I'm now a few months from 36. They are all very knowledgeable and willing to make sure you get the firearm that fits your needs.
Shawn Magee: SUPER FANTASTIC!!!!!! These guys stocked a impossible and quick shipped, in under a week, a Commander Shot Timer, it's a 10 week wait from the manufacturer, these guys have the timer in stock. Trustworthy and quick shipping.
Ray Robinson: I got a AR 12 .. loved tank u guys

bryon young: Well train instructors. Great customer service and the best prices.
Lakishia McNeil: Sam was a good person to purchase from I diffently be back again and it's also Black owned
Oswin Ansorena: Great place to shoot and zero your gun. Amazing customer service, really enjoyed it!
Kevin Goode: I’ve been a long time patron at Eagle 1 and love the place and the staff. Today was my first visit to the outdoor range, Eagle 2. I loved the facility and would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to shoot at varying distances.
Dior Samuels: I appreciate the service that we recieved today. It was my first time going to a gun store & i felt welcomed and comfortable especially when it came to making purchases. We will be back ofcourse and especially for classes , gun range & etc i look forward to it. Thank you so much Sam & I forgot the other young mans name.
Bruce Collins: Always a good time and friendly people. My favorite range
Nasr Abdrahman: Very nice and friendly professional staff, make you feel comfortable while shooting. Clean area and great range.
marcus brinkley: Had an amazing experience at Eagle 1. Went to take my Beginners class and the staff went above and beyond with their knowledge, friendliness and patience. Thanks Sam for your help and professionalism. I definitely recommend 👍🏾
Jt Terry: Eagle 1 is by far the best range in the Triangle! They are customer focused and it shows. If you are in the area it is a must!
Celestine McAllister: Sam and Justin are the best, the greatest customer service I have ever received....
Deborah Ekoue: Best range on the East Coast, Justin and Sam are amazing
John Shearin: There's a reason this place is only $10 to shoot at the range. This place is NOT SAFE.There is NO Range Safety Officer (RSO).Water was leaking through the roof inside the range. The range is way too narrow for the amount of people they let in.Brass is everywhere. You have to sweep the brass backwards and put it into a trashcan instead of forward into the range, as there is a barrier to prevent idiots from crawling under into the shooting range.Patrons were complaining that they had to take a safety quiz and sign a waiver.Spend the extra $10-15 to shoot somewhere safe considering the activity is SHOOTING GUNS.
Devin Brantley: Had the BEST experience at Eagle 1 with the assistance of Sam & Geo !!
Rodquan White: I had an excellent experience purchasing my firearm with the guys at Eagle 1. I encourage everyone in the Raleigh area to head down to Eagle 1 if they are looking to purchase a firearm or looking to shoot their firearms!
ZayQuan Price: Extremely nice and helpful range is good service is even better 10/10
Eric Sauls: Eagle 1 is the best gun shop in town. Sam is very informative and helpful. I’ve purchased all of my guns from them.
Digvijay Patil: Sam was amazing with showing us around. There is a good selection of guns here and definitely Worth a visit!

Jim's Gun Shop: what do users think?
Cody Deviney: This shop has the best prices on hand guns and ammo around. I walked out with a S&W model 637 for 400 and could barely lift my jaw off the floor. Paid 480 for the gun and 150 rounds. Will definitely be going back after my concealed carry comes in to pick up the Hellcat pro I've had my eyes on!
Kristopher: Best gun shop in town! Jim always has the best prices on guns and ammo. He is friendly every time I go in. Jim is the best! He knows how to help and keep it simple. Jim always gets the 1st shot at my business, if he doesn't have what I'm looking for, he will try to get it. I've told him many times if he ever needs anything at all to call me and I would be right there 👍
DAVID ALAIN PAYETTE: I have been buying guns here on and off for almost 30 years. Jim and his sidekick are top shelf. Always great deals 100 percent honest. I love this place.
Michael Knight: Quaint.
Sal: went today for the first time, Jim is great and very kind, good prices as well!
Clara Fenelon: Great experience, great prices. Friendly people and straightforward different than another big gun shop in the area that is pure trash. Plan to come back !
John Kackley: Nice guys to do business with!
Nick Nutter: Great selection of all your gun and ammo needs!
Krystal Lynn: Very friendly
Jon F: Great prices on guns and ammo
Shatara Pettiford: Jim has reasonable prices, great selection, and straightforward!
Luke L: Awesome shop, great prices especially with the pandemic. I will be going back.
Jack Collins: I met Jim yesterday on 25 August 21 and found out that he’s an old Ohio boy like me. I took my old Dan Wesson 357 in to speak to someone about me attempting to cold Blue it. He talked me out of it and actually cleaned up a bit of the surface rust with a special oil he sells and some super fine steel wool!!! I’m thinking I’ve found my go to gun shop in Raleigh. I obviously bought a can!!!
roland lennon: They have the best prices
Lawson Williams: Wonder store and good selection. I found that the pricing was good. I also used their FFL service and they were very quick to handle everything as needed. I will use them again.
Ronald A. Kline: Little hole in the wall
Troy Boyce: Great place. Small environment. 2 men there very knowledgeable with what they had on display. Would recommend this store.
Moist man: Jim was very nice and has good prices
pac man: Very helpful
David Barham: Very pleased with everything. A+++
Semper Fi For Life !!: Awesome location

Tar River Arms: what do users think?
Zachary Schmidt: Nice folks, clean facilities and range, but that was a long drive only to find a 20-30% markup on a new pistol versus the same spec. at other local in stock stores, and zero willingness to negotiate. But hey if someone’s willing to pay it then good for the store I guess!
Christopher Carleton: Good selection, great staff and had a blast on their range. Will definitely be back again
nancy gray: We have done business with them before they moved and they were great. Growing bigger definitely not better. Interested in trading i some guns on a new item, Mgr was not helpful. Said he to many used guns. Gave us a couple of other excuses, but clearly did not want to do business. Went elsewhere and had no problems.
Beth Wentz: It was my first time to shoot there. Totally awesome and such fun! Jacob gave great advice and was so helpful. I’m so glad we bought our membership
Paula Hunter: Great experience today at Tar River Arms. Trey was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful and helping me make the right choice for my needs. Highly recommend!
Shawn Googins: Celebrated my birthday with a membership and pistol at the co-located Tar River Arms and Youngsville Gun Club and Range. New ranges is awesome, staff is very friendly. Extra Kudos to Jodie the gunsmith, and all around great guy, for mounting my new optic. Range is awesome with state of the art targeting and scoring system. Thanks to Briget for handling my membership, and the many other RSOs and staff I met. The tour of the facility earlier in the week is what sold me. Looking forward to a long term relationship with the range and Tar River Arms.
Nick Baldridge: A welcoming, all in one spot with great customer service, knowledge, and dependability. Always been a tar river arms fan and am stoked they were able to come to youngsville and start a whole new range experience for any skill level. I Would recommend visiting to anyone who's new or experienced with firearms.
Frank Goffredo: From the moment my wife and I walked through the front door of Tar River Arms we were greeted with a smile and kindness and we felt welcome .and the people that work there were easy to talk to and if you didn't understand about something like one of the firearms they took the time to explaine it to you with out making you feel stupid they are really helpful and for real not Phoney ,real down to earth people also there inventory is outstanding they have Just about any type of fire arms Brands ammo, and accessories that you need and if they don't have it you can get it threw them and have it delivered to there shop then pick it up there ,and the best for last they have a beautiful indoor shooting Range also they have a set up for people who are wheel chair inpared and much much more a coffee shop today was our first time we will become reoccurring customers, thank you Very much Frank Goffredo.
Henry Huynh: Purchased my first firearm here, very helpful staff.
TR Buskirk: Great place with friendly staff. Trey was awesome and answered all of our questions. Dude is cool, enthusiastic and helpful.
Chef Chrissie Lapidow: Fantastic selection of firearms and ammunition, professional expert service, and helpful advice! We’re repeat customers and won’t go anywhere else. Come check out the new TRA setup at Youngsville Gun Club - and be sure to try before you buy at the state of the art gun range!
Jane S: The staff are friendly and seem very knowledgeable about what they are selling.
Michael Walsh: Nice shop if you are looking to buy a firearm or accessory . Gunsmithing, I would not recommend them. Very incompetent service and a huge waste of time and travel.Start with honoring your 2 hour appointments, my project could have been done in under one hour. Your gunsmith didn't even know that a a .17rem and a .223 rem were the same case size???
Blake Ticknor: They have a great selection of firearms, ammunition and accessories. However, the friendly and helpful staff is what makes this place great.
Joe Schmoe: Amazing staff- super helpful and informative.
Pamela Maher: We’ve purchased several firearms here, and the folks have always been nice. But we recently tried to return a still-in-the-box, untouched after market red dot for store credit, after we were up sold the unit by one of their personnel when buying a gun with a “today-only” discount. (We went home, did some research, and decided the sight was not for us). A couple of weeks later, we went in to seek store credit, and were told we would have to pay a $100 “restocking fee”. (Item was still on the same discount.) While we want to support our local businesses, we feel like we’re going to have to cross these guys off the list of options. If you buy anything at all here, do your research and don’t rely solely on what their store personnel try to convince you of. Nice doesn’t equal trustworthy.
Jon Currin: I have been very pleased with their knowledge and willingness to educate. They have walked me through several purchases and each time I am glad I gave them my business.
Chimpinforchurros: Extremely friendly, helpful and well stocked. Great folks and shop!!
Mike Scott: I bought my last 4 firearms at this location. My wife and I absolutely LOVED going when we lived in the area. The owner Kurt is a really nice and knowledgeable guy, and his friendly staff was very helpful every time I came in. We only lived in NC for 2 years but we stopped by this shop almost every other weekend just to see what was new and what deals they had (which were always great). I’m only sad that I don’t have one like it in my new state.
Matthew looper: I have been to TRA several times, the staff is always very helpful and knows there stuff. The owner is always very helpful and friendly. I been to gun shops that are twice as big and they are no where near as friendly or as knowable. Kurt Lieberman. and his staff have a one of the best gun shops around. good luck you guys.
Bradley Crain: People are very nice and informative. Process was streamlined which I appreciate. I will be doing business with them in the near future.
