Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness: what do users think?
Risa Carter: The facility is nice but BEWARE- you cannot quit this place. !! I went for a few months then my health went downhill and I have been trying to cancel this thing all year- they just keep charging me and won’t stop and won’t let me cancel! The classes are also very crowded and you have to try and sign up ahead or you can’t go.
Robert Baxter: We have been members for over 10 years and live it. There are other gyms that cost less, but everyone here is very professional and great. The equipment and services are top notch.
Jim Ankeny: The facility is and personally are great. Be careful! The misleading subscription to fitness is a mess. I have been trying to resolve why they charge 2 sessions for the same partner training. I bought 24 sessions but only had 12. They charged it as 2 sessions but it was partner training which made the sessions twice as expensive per visit.
Mary Tulenko: Beware of billing, especially cancellation policy.
Cindy L Oliver: Terrible. The pool appointment reservations are a bad joke! The hot tub is grossly mildewed ee-ew.
Ann Thornton: Clean, non-judgemental; lots of options for health and fitness.Love the hot tub!
Harry Noah Clark: Was like working out alone in the fitness center in my apt complex.Pool, not even available all the time, not included in price.
Visionary Sci-fi writing: watch out for the billing. Dull environment- Cold management.all about the $ here which brings down atmosphere. Most pay very little with medicare.
Nancy Tavalsky: I like this gym been a member for about 6 months but I think they need more Zumba classes. The only one they offer now on Wednesday at 12 with some girl Deisy is just horrible wish they’d get new Zumba instructors
Stephen Brown: Facility is top notch. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Overall a very upbeat, positive environment. I just joined.
Michael Morency: I would definitely recommend it. It's not the best gym in the world, but it is very good. The staff is nice, the amenities are in decent shape, and it's never super crowded so I always get the machine or weights that I want. This gym doesn't have the newest machines or the nicest amenities, but the selection and quality of everything is definitely above average. The pool and sauna are nice to have, plus a decent selection of cardio, machines, and free weights. There are two squat racks, one of which is open for easy bar removal. They also have a basketball court which seems pretty nice although I don't use it. If you're looking for a powerlifting gym or some other nuanced amenity, this probably won't meet your needs.I wish they would offer more intense cycle classes. I think they are working with limited space and just trying to serve the largest demographic though, so it's not a huge deal. I also wish they had a bigger pool or it was easier to get a lane. They've definitely made efforts to make it easier but again, there's just limited space. Id also like to see the towel service return. They offer a discount to teachers so I don't pay full price. But to me it seems like a great value.
Iva Stowe: I had 3 plus months of physical therapy with Ryan Swiezy. Ryan was a very encouraging and supportive therapist. He was an excellent coach for me to strive to achieve goals of gaining strength, balance, and endurance. When I started therapy with Ryan, my walking for exercise was limited to about 15 minutes; I can now walk 45 minutes.I highly recommend Ryan.
Luis R Apellaniz: Great location for kids swimming lessons.
TheSheepLeader: The staff are nice and friendly, and you can always find parking. The facilities are pretty poor, so 1 star off for that. They are missing a lot of machines compared to other gyms. When something breaks, it seems to take a long time to fix it. At least they have a pool. I have never been inside the locker room, so have no idea what happens back there.Another star off due to price and accessibility. They are expensive for what they give, and you get no towel, plus they close early every day and on the weekends.Another star off for the customers they have. There are a lot of old people there cause they don't pay full price. Most of them are good cause they keep to themselves, but there are always bad apples and because of their age and attitude, they are extremely rude. I was cussed at recently for no good reason. You never want to argue with an old person because mental capacity declines with age. I would say about a quarter of the people wipe down the equipment after use.I would not recommend going here unless you are old and get the discounted price.
Cynthia Roland: It's an AWESOME place. I'm going to join.
Kristopher Bell: Great clean gym, never too busy. Everyone that goes there is very nice
Susanne Deacle: We love HealthTrax and missed it.
Steve Lee: Positive:Professionalism,QualityThis gym is the best in Raleigh. Everything you need in one place. Awesome staff and amenities. If we can have our regular weekend hours back that would be nice.
Crystal Nulty: You can't find a better place to go! Everyone is SO friendly and helpful! Oh and did I mention NO MASKS? Whoohoo
Sylvia Massuda: MOTTO: “IGNORE CLIENTS WHO COMPLAIN, AND HOPE THEY GET TIRED AND GO AWAY.”RATING: MINUS 1I have been a member of several gyms in my lifetime and never have I seen a gym that cares so little for its clientele. A couple of weeks ago, after getting off a recumbent bike, the bike tipped over, fell on me and slammed my head against an adjacent bike. This was due to the lack of an anchor system for the equipment. THIS WAS/IS A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN and unfortunately, I was the one who suffered the consequences. The injuries that I incurred included two contusions on my head causing ongoing dizziness and headaches, pain in my right shoulder where I had surgery less than 6 months ago and swelling in my legs. While this was a traumatic experience and one, I am still feeling the severe effects of, I assumed the gym would try to make things right- I was wrong. A few days later, I called the MANAGER- SANDY DORTA and shared what occurred. My hope was that they would come to their senses for the safety of their members and at a minimum anchor their equipment to the ground.Ms. Dorta, an employee of 26 years and head of sales, ignored my requests and indicated she had no power to help me in anyway, saying that their HQ would need to assist me. She would not provide me with the name of who this situation was referred to at HQ, and did not provide a copy of the incident report. The company makes it impossible to reach anyone at HQ. Since I reported my incident, my attempts to reach out to Ms. Dorta have been ignored. No one has at the Raleigh location would respond to my questions, nor have returned any of my many messages. I have cancelled my membership., Its very apparent that they could care less about me being that they already have my money.
David Stokes: Great gym. Very nice equipment and knowledgeable instructors. I highly recommend.

Life Time: what do users think?
Paul Suholet: Nice club.At $169/mo it obviously doesn't have all the amenities of the $279/mo Buckhead Atlanta location...but...very nice overall.
Kyle Robson: Enjoyed the hot tub/steam room for my recovery
NYtoNC98: Get your act together with the pickle ball. There needs to be separate time slots for beginners, mid, and experienced players.
Isaias: I like the gym.. im coming here after long day at work for about 2 months, but you guys need to be more strict about minors in the woman's spa.. during nite time is not as peaceful as before...
Andy Archer: The staff here is always friendly with out exception.
Gabe Rutland: I’ve been a member here for almost 2 years now, LOVE this place. Fantastic staff and amenities. The kids academy has saved my life, my 3 kids get so excited to come to lifetime. The staff at the front desk is super nice and welcoming, Josh in particular is always nice to see. The cafe is fantastic, food is super great and the staff is amazing. Cafe managers Brittany and Nicolette, Christina, Gabe, Audrey, and Valerie are all super nice. The cafe has become our favorite restaurant, the tea promotion they do during the summer is so perfect! Love that hibiscus tea. The gym floor has lots of equipment. Love the pickle ball court. The pool has also been a fun activity for me and my family.
Nicolette Palmisano: Amazing. Love this place. Friendly staff, great amenities. The cafe goes above and beyond.. Their management is stellar and the team is incredibly knowledgeable and have a sense of urgency without looking chaotic. The food is better than most restaurants! I just really can’t say enough about this place. I’m a LfieTime member for a life time!
Thomas Thedieck: Lifetime is the best membership experience you can buy!
Colleen Kehoe: If you are looking for a gym with fantastic cafe, really good child care, and an amazing indoor/outdoor pool this is the spot! If you want a gym with enough weights/machines, and large work out space then this is not the place for you... For a building that big it is disappointing how small the space is for working out. Plus the amenities in the women's locker room were broken or unavailable most of the time.
WatShmat: Nice facilities but gets very busy.Assume this place doesn’t have a basketball court. The one in the picture on Google isn’t even there anymore because they turned it into pickle ball. The single court that’s left is either packed or everyone is kicked out for their daycare thing. Just warning for people wanting a court cause it’s a gamble.
Cynthia Richwine: Omg like a resort love this place out door and indoor hotub exercise equipped all up to date
Travis Dionne: overpriced and all the racks are always taken up by classes
Owens Enterprises LLC: Best kids center with awesome staff. Jen, Nia, and Kristie are just the best. Wish we didn’t move so we could keep going here forever! Would give this place 10 stars if I could
Ayinde Taylor: Great service & polite service professionals made servicing my car easy..
Kristen Hambleton: While I think that everyone does a great job at Lifetime, I recently missed my hair appointment at the spa because I was sick and slept past the time slot. I called immediately and was I formed I needed to pay the full $200 dollars, which I did. While I am all for accountability, I do not know another example of that high of a service charge, whether it be a doctors appointment or otherwise.
A Az: It's one of the best gym ever no doubt, but Price went up from $90 to $170 alont doubt in 2 years.I know there is inflammation but it's that much .
64armt: I only use the pool and locker rooms downstairs. These areas are great.
Carolina Martinez: It’s the private women’s hot tub for me 😮‍💨 love it. The only thing I don’t like about the Raleigh location is how many people go there 😭 it’s always full. The locker room also has a sewer smell …
Katherine B: It’s safe to say I will never come back to this salon or this gym. My experience inside the salon directly is what caused me to cancel my membership as a whole.I’ve never been so horrified by a salon.I paid about $230 in total to have my first initial visit be completely botched.I left with my hair soaking wet and did not receive half of my services and was told to come back to get the rest done which I was very mortified with.Part of my hair was orange and the other half was over processed. The only thing offered was a free additional toner to fix the issue and still made me pay for the cut that I was initially told would be free. This place only cares about taking your money. After that, your own your own.I want part of of my money back. No one should pay for jacked up disgusting looking hair and then have to pay more when they come in to get it fixed. This is a chop shop at best.
Teresa Foster: Only visited hair salon. Shawnee is absolute best stylist! Management needs to hone customer service skills though!
KIARA MENDES HUDSON: I’ve been a member for over 4 years, and last week I left my stuff over the counter in the ladies bathroom and when I came back to get it, someone stole my sunglasses. It is a shame that people would do that in a club where the membership is not cheap, and it feels worse walking around knowing that there is a women, a thief walking a around maybe someone you see everyday. That’s messed up!!!!!!!If you come here don’t leave your stuff unattended!!!!I’ve talked to the manager and front desk people, they were not helpful at all, like they couldn’t care less.

Wellness and Recreation Center and Carmichael Gym: what do users think?
Bessie Otey: Housekeepers are the best 👍
Valerie R: One of the best university gyms I have been to, a little tricky when having a guest pass but love going to this gym. Safe, clean, and accessible for most people.
Felipe Fierro: Terribly overcrowded. So much so that it renders it almost unusable. It's absolutely unbearable. I'm cancelling my membership.
Jonathan Kolbinsky: They have everything for any kind of workout or sport you want to play. And the brand new renovation is very nice.
Shav: Terribly organized. It’s like someone who doesn’t work out organized this place. Four stories of just benches, squat racks and cardio machines. Have to go up and down the stairs each time for a new machine, if it’s not used. I much prefer the old gym from 5 years ago. Should have each floor be it’s own individual gym, with a variety of the same machines on each floor.
Bilal Adam Malik: Dope gym, it's got everything
Manna: Now the time changed
Sullivan Strong: Great Gym!!! Always clean and super up to date. Definitely very busy though!!!
Md. Al-Amin: The place for health conscious people with enough amenities.
Carli Gordon: 👍🏽
Venkatesh Nayak: Best gymming facility around
Rahul Gautam: The most awesome place on campus. So many things to do. You can do rock climbing, gym, table tennis, badminton, basketball and a ton of things which you can think of.
T Foz: 💪💪💪
Benjamin Isles: Very cleanWell litStaff is helpful
Cory Tattu: Is a great place
Spencer Atchison: Great gym

O2 Fitness Raleigh - Falls of Neuse: what do users think?
Grace Mumpasi: Amazing place! Everyone was so nice and welcoming and the place itself was really clean and of high quality. I was given a tour by a front dest staff member named Louie and he was absolutely amazing. Great energy and very friendly!
Destiny Johnson: This is a great place to workout! Staff is always so friendly and super helpful. I never have to worry about parking and there are great spots nearby to get post workout meals!
Charlie Meyers: I have had a wonderful experience at this location. One of the biggest reasons I joined this gym is for the turf - it is always clean and the sleds are almost always available. The equipment throughout the gym is also very nice. A lot of treadmills and the weights are in great shape. It’s very well kept and the staff is always super kind offering a smile to everyone that comes through!
Anthony Isaacs: the staff is extremely nice!
Heather Olson: Roosevelt is awesome to work with as a trainer. He researched my chronic disease and designed fitness routines to work with it and not aggravate it. At my first session, I commented that I was out of shape and he said no, I am still a shape. There is no out of or in shape, just different shapes. That's when I knew I had found a great personal trainer!
Taylor Stallings: Nice gym and friendly staff. They just got all new equipment too which is nice.
Santana Wingate: Always enjoy the Atmosphere of the Gym!!
Paul Mikuta: O2 Falls of Neuse is great. Clean and very accommodating and friendly staff. Ray is amazing! The recent equipment upgrades have really improved strength training capabilities.
Joshua Fernandez: Great location and friendly staff
Fratdougal Family: This location is great. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Alan Fratantuono: The gym is really clean, and the staff are helpful. The manager, Louie, is friendly and responsive.
Griffin Bailey: O2 Fitness is genuinely one of the best gyms I’ve had experience at. The staff is always friendly, the machine selections are great, and even at peak hours I rarely have to wait for any machine at all! Couldn’t recommend a gym better than O2 fitness!
Charles Ferranti: Simon was very friendly and extremely attentive to the cleanliness and organization of the gym
Sharon Nelson: Great staff and lots of great equipment. 😊
Erin Binkley: Staff here is phenomenal. Kids club experience is awesome.
Rachel Tanzola: Great.
Joseph Baxter: I love this location, primarily for one big reason - Ray at the front desk. She is the main reason I decided to convert my free trial to a membership. She is a pure delight every morning. Greets me and my friends with a smile every day. Always a breath of fresh air. Thanks for being the best Ray!This specific facility is very nice too!
zotiyac: great place, been going for almost a year needs a location in wake forest
Daniel Poole: Great staff, phenomenal environment.
Mr. Everything: The whole facility and team are great.

Alexander Family YMCA: what do users think?
Daniel Clayton: I love this place but the weekend hours are atrocious and some of the treadmills sound like they’re falling apart when you’re running on them. Closes at nine during the week when they used to close at 10, which isn’t too big of a deal, but now they close at 5 o’clock on the weekends when they used to close at 8 on Saturday and 6 on Sunday. 12-5 on the weekends is poor. This can’t be the mission to limit working out. Beyond that, what about a safe space for at-risk youth on weekend nights? The basketball court is a safe place when many youth don’t have that in their home or community. This seems counter to the mission of the YMCA.
O D: Hands down the BEST Y!(You should close Sunday and stay open ALL day Saturday)
Fred Ruffin: Facility is great!! However in the men's locker room there appears to be no hot water in the showers. Maybe its me but I was assuming C= cold and H= hot, but nothing happened when I selected Hot. I'll asked at the front desk to see if that can be corrected or it's simply operator's error. But again GREAT FACILITY!!!
Stephen Hulme: I've been a member of this Y for 30+ years. It's sad to see it going down hill. It used to be a friendly, welcoming place with great facilities and knowledgeable, helpful staff. It's not friendly, the facilities have problems, and the staff is not knowledgeable.Today, there's no hot water because the hot water and HVAC systems are being replaced. This outage started on April 17 and will last at least until April 26. I don't buy the idea that this will be an "improvement": last month it was the steam room in the men's health center that was broken. There's no permanent tenant in the coffee shop facility since the pandemic. I had a major problem recovering the combination to my locker. The list of issues goes on and on. This used to be the flagship YMCA of the Triangle. It's very disappointing to see such a fine facility in such decline.
james sigmon: Towel services has stopped due to water heater being replaced, no message went out to anyone and finding this out when u get tere was not good.
Karen Stevens: Front desk staff are absolutely wonderful- thanks Hannah! Everyone is warm and welcoming. Great selection of fitness classes. Can be crowded / noisy on weekends with basketball games etc. but what a wonderful contribution to our community.
Denise Scott: This Y is busy, but still enough room for everyone
Lyssa DeLeon: Incredibly rude staff. Had to file paperwork 3 separate occasions just to sign up for a membership. No one followed up, apologized, or did anything to make it right. Save yourself time and go to a different gym.
Drew Magill: As a traveling triathlete it’s great to find another well equipped ymca. This one is extensive with multiple floors. The indoor pool is 25 yards and about 85F. There are a number of stationary bikes around that measure power and will upload your workout to stava through a secondary app. I was not able to connect it to Zwift but it might be possible. The staff here is super friendly and helpful.
Keshia C.: It's a nice place to work out, but parking is outrageous. Took 20 mins to find parking.
T. Instructor: It's a great gym, love going here. The only downside, it is really crowded
Safaa Hamid: Very nice place
Kenneth Smith: Nice
Bryan Rawls: Friendly staff, ample equipment!
Patricia Jordan: I needed that class..lol
Camp H.: For whatever reason this is the only YMCA in the Raleigh area that is incapable of posting their actual hours of operation. Very frustrating to spend 15 minutes driving over only to find them closed.
Julia Nassar-McMillan: I’ve gone to this Y for years now and I love everything about it—the staff, the facility, location, etc. ONLY thing I would change would be for it to be open longer on weekends:)
Demetrius Brown: My kids loved the summer program here and the exercise equipment is very good
Demery Squalls (Demery Bryant): Plenty of amenities.
Adam S: I love this facility.
Luis Marcano: Great Y, overall they have great accommodations and the gym has everything you need, you have to work out the times that works best for you because at times it gets crowded so be aware of that, but nothing out of the ordinary compared to other gyms. I love the indoor pool. The staff is always friendly and super helpful!!! I'm glad to be part of this Y!!!

O2 Fitness Raleigh - Creedmoor Road: what do users think?
DDE Happy: Clean friendly staff. Maggie is great. But closing a gym with 1 week notice is bad. Thank goodness my membership ends next month and I can go elsewhere. Hopefully another gym will move in their place.
Beckett London: Great gym! Sophia at the front desk does a fantastic job!!
Zachary Carpenter: I have to say, I’ve been a member of O2 for some years now. Although brennan has its pros (great equipment, crowd is never overwhelming, and staff is great), i can’t get over how much this location has gone downhill upkeep wise. The bathrooms by far are the must disgusting i have seen, and I’ve been to plenty gyms in the state and others as well. The mirrors haven’t been cleaned in near a month and it’s evident. The gunk on the floors continues to build along with dusty equipment. The showers haven’t been cleaned in enough time that last time i showered i immediately got out in disgust. And that was the only shower with soap in the dispenser.I also understand the pandemic halted a lot of things, but to pay for a gym that used to also offer towel service and still continues to use it as an excuse to not offer it…is ridiculous.if that were true, mask wearing would be mandatory. It’s a droplet virus, not contact only.I just feel very let down by this location and it’s the closest and most convenient for me. I wrote this only to hope that this location makes some improvements to upkeep and considers its loyal members feedback while implementing it as well. Those complaints aside, it’s a great gym and with a small effort to upkeep the simple things listed above, i feel more members would be enthusiastic to refer more potential members and keep current members from leaving as I’ve noticed in previous reviews.
Ann MacNeill: Positive:Professionalism,QualityHad a trial session and I have to say what an awesome trainer Josh is. He's incredibly professional, experienced and a pleasure to work with. The staff here are all very nice. If you try it out, I think you'll enjoy it too!Great location near lots of amenities as well.
Susanne Deacle: This is a well run gym. Management is highly effective and customer friendly.
Hatu Kanu: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Austin Drake: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityMaggie the manager is very accommodating!! Good energy all around the space. Love stopping here when I’m in town
Andrew Chinnes: Great lifting equipment (plenty of free weights, squat racks, dumbbells, plate-loaded and stack machines, cable machines, etc. No power racks, though, which is a bummer if you’re wanting to do banded bar movements), lots of cardio equipment, nice locker rooms, and plenty spacious to spread out with whatever you’re doing.
Dwayne Leatherwood: The gym is great, but front desk girl could not have been more unfriendly.I left over a year ago because front desk staff was rude, nothing has changed there. Nice gym equipment.
Travis Stoker: I go here when I’m visiting occasionally but not my main O2. It is a great gym equipment wise! They really have everything you need here + plenty of space so you don’t feel crowded. BUT currently, and I think there were a few other reviews on here about this, the AC seems to be broken at the moment. I went on a hot winter day (as there are a few of in NC) and it was really uncomfortably hot. They have fans set up but it’s not enough. Also the area near the water fountains currently smells pretty bad, and it’s been like that for a while. I’m assuming from protein powder clogging a drain. Other than these things it’s a good gym but I wouldn’t like to work out here full time
Billie Edwards: I’ve been a member of O2 Fitness for 5 years and quit my membership today. During the winter months there was no heat and I never complained, just started my workouts in a hoodie until I warmed up. It was bearable but not anymore. There has been little to no A/C for months. I sent an email on June 15, 2021 in regard to the lack of a/c and stagnant air and fans were brought in. That was 38 days ago and still no working a/c. It is unbearable to work out under these conditions and corporate has done little to fix the problem. It was suggested to me to go to the Briar Creek location, I didn’t join O2 for the Briar Creek location! There are too many other gyms in the area to have to suffer this lack of a/c. I’ve had continuous 2 x week training during my membership. That’s a lot of money folks! Another lady came in and dropped her membership as I was leaving. It’s always the same response…we’re working on it! Nothing is being done! O2 has had months since reopening after Covid to fix this!!! You can see in the photo the units are not even operating. This is not a recent dilemma, but an ongoing one.Update: As of 8/18/21…still no a/c!!!Update: As of 11/19/21… I was told by a member still no HVAC working.
Bombzy: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityMaggie is amazing and so welcoming. The workout machines are professional and a real luxury gym! 5/5 stars across the board!
Veronica Jennings: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismBryce is an excellent trainer, very professional and knowledgeable.
Jack McKeon: Positive:QualityI just started working out there for the first time and I like the facility. I like the people and my trainer, Bryce, is a cool guy. He makes training fun and I’m learning a lot about health and fitness. I high recommend this gym.
Iris Salswach: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Malcolm Nicol: Good vibes
Doug McKeon: I thoroughly enjoy working out at O2. The environment is friendly, and the staff is courteous and professional. The men’s locker room is well maintained. My personal trainer, Bryce, is both personable and adept during my workout, and I feel I’m achieving my goals in a fun, informative way. I highly recommend anyone looking for a gym membership to consider O2.
Christopher Nickerson: Positive:QualityHas everything we need in an gym
Sarah Rhodes: Positive:Quality
