Tashenia Thompson: If your store closes at 6 on Sunday’s or whatever your “ Hours of Operation “ are for that particular day and a customer is “ IN” your store before that specified time they should be able to gather whatever they came to purchase without an employee “YELLING” … “ THE REGISTER WILL BE CLOSING IN TWOOO MINUTESSS”‼️‼️That’s like you going to a restaurant before they close and the waitress comes to your table saying can you hurry up and eat we are about to close‼️ITS UNPROFESSIONAL‼️NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK AT IT. It’s not but so much a person could be dropping in to purchase at the beauty supply store and again if they are inside your place of business before it’s time for you to close they should be able to gather what they came to purchase without being “ RUSHED”‼️Of course you have someone stand at the door preparing to lock the doors at the time of closing so NOONE can come in AFTER the closing mark but not rushing the customers who made it there BEFORE closing‼️After that “ANNOUNCEMENT “ was made I literally put what was in my hand and just walked out‼️I work at a bank we have customers who come in 5 minutes before we close to do auto loans along with other things that can be very time consuming‼️As a “ COMPANY “ how would we look saying we close in 2 minutes… you may want to come back tomorrow ‼️No that will never happen‼️It’s very UNPROFESSIONAL ‼️‼️

Ariel M: Just left this establishment. The young Latina lady who came to open register never greeted me and began to start a loud conversation with someone across the store. When I greeted the employee with “hello, how are you?” She ignored me and continued her own conversation. She never even made eye contact with me. It was if I was invisible. I left all of my items and walked out. Not wanting a confrontation in front of my 7 year old son. I called and asked for the owner/store manager. I explained to him what happened, he stated he would retrain his employees and I was I saying how it made me feel as a Black customer he hung up. When I called back to inquire if he hung up on me he said “I’m busy ma’am and hung up again.” So if management has this attitude, how are the employees supposed to be better? I would suggest Best Beauty in Knightdale. Smaller yes, but ALWAYS respectful!

Call to see if they had a particular product and explain that I know they have another store on Capital and didn't know if that store had it would they have it too because their stores closer and the girl replied "well you're not calling Capital boulevard do you not know where you're calling? This is the new Bern avenue store" been here a few times and they are not really helpful couple of weeks ago I even went there to get some body jewelry one of the girls told me that the owner of the store even said the body jewelry will make you sick..but will never go again. I rather take a 20 minute drive than to deal with the rudeness. 🙄

Teresa Jones: This was my first time visiting this place the hair that I got I still have one now it was a lace front braids. The lace laid with no problem, looks very natural. I’m actually happy with the results of my lace front, and I actually installed it myself. They were very helpful there. They do have employees in the back to help you which I feel is very helpful and they are very quick couple of the employees very funny so they do have a sense of humor there that I find very pleasant and welcoming and they are very knowledgeable about the hair. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments and I will be going back. Thank you.

c. s.: I purchased the 10,12 with closure for $190 and gave a tip of 10$ for delivery for my birthday,the delivery was fast but the hair was trash, I don't know if they didn't have those bundles in stock but the hair didn't curl, tried to flat iron it and the ends burnt and the whole trip my hair smelled of burnt hair. Amazon hair was better. I will not be ordering from here again. First impression is the last impression!!

MICHELE PITT: Awful experience. Paid over 120.00 for deep wave hair for my child and 2 days after hair was installed it was shedding and closure had thinned out. Hair was matted up as if it had been in for 3 months. Awful human hair and the stylist informed my daughter that it was not human hair. Spoke to manager to see if he would exchange it but he stated my daughter wasn't taking care of the hair and she has been wearing weaves for many years and she is very capable of maintaining an install. Owner refused to return money or exchange hair. Disputed charges with bank

What sets this store apart, so far, the owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. There are a lot of options and so much merchandise and various brands, and they have a reward system. The owner was kind and a nice older woman helped me find the brand of crochet hair I needed and appropriate length. Many other stores did not carry the Freetress Nigerian prestretched box braid hair for crochet styles. This saves me a lot of my personal time as opposed to trying to get my hair braided individually. It's my go to hairstyle when I want a break from heat styling and my natural curls.This store reminds me of all the beauty supply stores we have in New York. The carry all the products and braiding hair you need. Large selection of wigs and weaving hair as well. I'm so glad it's local when I'm in the neighborhood I will definitely come back again.

Jack Holden: It's a great place to go and find your hair products it's where I find my hair gel and shampoo but what really makes this place amazing is the employees that work there they're nice and all their are some customers I've seen can be extremely rude for an example I saw this lady accused the older Asian gentleman of following her when it was clear he was restocking shelves. What makes the place disgusting is the rude and disrespectful customers that go there how do you want the employees to be nice to you if your being disrespectful and rude. Those kind of people need to learn manners

I had a terrible experience in this location but above all with Mrs. Cynthia!I went into the store for a few things, suddenly I heard offenses and the voice tone was getting more and more. Elevated by one person (Cynthia)Until “ I hear, come and take care of them, I don’t know why they ask if they don’t understand”. That’s when I realized that something was wrong. When the older man (buyer with his wife) turned around with difficulty, they wanted to explain his question to the cashier (Cynthia) again and she only rolled her eyes with annoyance. I approached with all due respect and offered him my help in interpreting the gentleman’s question. With an attitude she told me I DON’T need your help. The gentleman told me that he just want to know which Hair dye color is darker. I asked her that question(being products that I am not familiar with). She just looked at me without answering and then said “don’t you don’t see what the box says, read”. She yelling at me, giving me faces of racism since I’m Latina too.Me trying to defend them and me since she was verbally aggressive. After explaining to the gentlemen, I told her that they wanted to continue with their purchase when she began to give me a worse attitude, to say unnecessary comments like it was not necessary for us not to buy there and for us to leave. What kind of employee pushes away a costumer, like this?The gentlemen completed his purchase, they left the store. I stayed to keep looking for what I was going. She followed within minutes on the same isle where I was. Whispering continues to talk about the uncomfortable situation laughing. Until she said “they don’t even have a green card.” I believe that no human being deserves to be treated like this and make you feel like garbage, as if our money wasn’t worth it. I hope the manager does something about this since they have a lot of bad reviews and Cynthia is a very big factor OF BAD REVIEWS of this store.

Sarah Smith: I shop sallys all the time in other areas, never once worn a mask due to medical exemption. No one has ever said a thing. Walk in to grab nails at this location, and lady was so rude. I couldn’t even just purchase the nails in my hand, while she’s masked behind her plexi glass, probably vaccinated and I’m the only one in the store. I haven’t worn a mask in a year, due to getting extreme migraines, and asthma. I will never EVER come here again, I don’t support businesses that don’t support medical freedom. I’ll stick to the other locations with outstanding customer service 😘
P. Cope: Very rude staff in this store. Amazon has better prices and no "lip" from workers. If you need to visit a store, go to the Sally’s at Triangle Plantation on Capital Blvd. The manager and staff at that store are kind and helpful.

Andreica Martin: I've been shopping at Sally's for a while now. This is the first location that I found where the customer service was exceptional. I was told in detail about the rewards program (which I've had for a few years...where previously the cashier would sign me up and not explain.) I was told about the phone app. And I thought greatly finally a location where I get the full customer service experience. I go in Sally in spend in excess of $50 to $100+ when I shop. However, my last time there will unfortunately be my last time. This new thing of paying $0.15 for a brown recycleable paper bag for my purchases was a no go. I spent $98 and was given the option to purchase a bag. It is a insult to walk into a store spend almost $100 on products and then have to walk out with my purchase in hands because you want to charge customers 15 cents for a paper bag. I have the jumbo reusable bag (that isn't a paper bag) that I paid for on a previousvisit. But on the off chance that I forget to bring it with me, I shouldn't have to carry my purchase in my hands to my vehicle or be charged an additional 15 cents...in addition to the $100 I am paying for my products. Do better!!!

Its taking them around 4wks to arrive from their online store and when it comes your mostly likely not going to get everything you ordered.Go to your neighborhood beauty supply store instead.

Mimi: I was going to come here because this is the only hair store nearby that’s open on a Sunday afternoon.However, I’ll wait until Lux Beauty across the street opens on Monday.I don’t usually leave reviews, because who cares, really?This business doesn’t care and most people don’t even check reviews. I also feel that most reviews are extremely biased.You usually only leave reviews if an experience was really really bad, or really really good.That said, I’ve been here a few times over the last few years and while they have a good selection,offer the convenience of being open when most stores are closed, and they are usually pretty nice at the register, there’s always either a man or an elderly lady following me around the store. They don’t ever ask if I need help…. they just watch my every move.They have security tags on every single thing in the store. I mean they would put security tags on the security tags if they could. I don’t even bring a purse inside most of the time, so I don’t understand the need to hoover.One time, after I finished paying, the little lady at the register JUMPED up to get on top of the counter to look over and see if I had anything in the basket that was at my feet.I don’t know about you, but I don’t appreciate being treated like a criminal when supporting a business.

When I asked about this new protocol, I was told that this was done for all purchases over $50. This procedure wasn’t shown or listed at the counter. All I wanted to do was exchange hair that I did not use or open; when I took i tried to take it back the very next day they claimed there is no return or exchange policy due to COVID. Then the store clerk had a nerve to say we have a sign posted that all sales are final. The sign posted was small and handwritten and placed around several other signs. Not to mention the clerk checking me out did not state this policy despite what the receipt says. BUT ON THE RECEIPT IT SAYS YOU CAN RETURN OR EXCHANGE MERCHANDISE WITHIN 14 DAYS! However, at Lux Beauty they have a return policy where you can return and exchange your merchandise with a receipt if I’m original packaging and untouched within 7 days. Carolina Beauty get your stuff together because that was ridiculous and you not only lost my business but you lost one of my friends whom recommended you!

How does that help me, as a customer, buy or become interested in a product? I don't support businesses that employ managers that bully their young employees, it is not acceptable. I also don't support businesses that employ people who don't know anything about what they sell!

Jessica Gecsey-Ray: I don't go to this location that often anymore, but I prefer morning hours as Sally stores are small and there's a lot of products from hair color to make-up. Also, the associates are usually able to help you more efficiently the less busy it is. I stopped in for nail adhesive tabs, that they didn't carry. However, the associate did help me with the different other type of nail glues they offered. The parking can get tight too on the weekend as it's just a busy shopping center anyhow. A tip is, if it's really busy, park in the lot adjoining that strip mall that's the lower lot of the Wal-mart.
