Pennie Parker: I waited quite some time before I left this review because I wanted to see how much of my hair would grow back in. I had a transplant done in May 2022 and here it is Feb 2023 and I may have about 30% of growth in my crown area. Very disappointing after spending $7500. The doctor boasts that he is the “only” MD in the area that does transplants when in actuality the ONLY thing he does is take the donor hair from the back. He has technicians and his office assistants (who I’m not even sure are licensed) doing the actual grafting. When I went back for my follow up in Dec 2022, I explained to him that I was not happy with the results and he said he could do another round for $7000. He is also not skilled in dealing with African American 4b/c type hair. I also asked for before and after pics and he mentioned he would have to charge me for sending them - what a joke! The selling point for me to get this procedure was the friendliness at the consult and the fact that he supposedly is the only MD in the area that does this (which is not true at all). I’m hoping to help someone else make an informed decision before choosing this place to spend all of your hard earned money. Don’t be fooled by the smiling faces and warm and fuzzy because he’ll gladly take your money and you are stuck with whatever outcome you get.

Dr. Zacco is OCD about his craft.I have had approximately 3 second opinions over the course of 10 years, when it comes to other practices. Not only were they more expensive but I found that some doctors are not even local. They have to fly into the state to perform the procedure as well as the team. Some doctors have not done as many procedures as Dr. Z.I found that the other doctors did not bother to physically examine the area, but only visually look at what they were going to do, which was a red flag. They did not discuss the differences in the type of procedures and the pros and cons of each. Dr. Z does this. He physically examines, physically draws, and maps out his course of action.Overall I have had a pleasurable experience with Dr. Z. His OCD for his craft, communication when it comes to pre and post op, and return customer perks, is very refreshing. Kudos.

Samantha Burks: I'm a 46 year old female that was losing my hair (jn clumps) from telogen effluvium and I went to 2 dermatologists who told me there was NOTHING I can do. I was determined to go another route. I found Dr. Zacco and his office Manager Melissa. I had a very long consultation with him that did not feel rushed. He asked me so many questions the dermatologists never even asked. He went as far as looking at my fingernails, skin color with and without makeup on, asked me for my blood test results, etc. He was so thorough before he even did PRP treatment on me. He is so professional and Melissa is so efficient and friendly. She answered my emails the same day, sometimes late at night even! I was so impressed with his office, professionalism, and consult that I had PRP treatment done that day. They were so gentle and caring throughout the whole thing. Greg Sloan: I started coming to Dr. Zacco in the mid 2000's after I had hair transplants from multiple doctors anywhere from Charlotte, NC to Irvine,CA and I can tell you that he is as honest and conscientious as any Dr. doing hair transplantation. He is honest enough to give you realistic expectations and let's you know up front that it's a process that will require multiple procedures. It's a process but people are looking for the magic bullet that will restore their hail loss in 1 procedure and when that does not happen, they vent on social media. I am going for my 4th procedure with Dr. Zacco and I would not be doing that if I was not completely comfortable with him and his staff. He is very detail oriented and his attention to detail surpasses some of the more well known names in the hair restoration industry. My advice would be to come in and talk to him for yourself and after your consultation, make your own decision. I am completely comfortable coming back to Dr. Zacco again and again.
